And this is the actual former heresy, because I am, in fact, a faggot: >>97383132
>>97390261>Was Horus right for the wrong reasons, or wrong for the right reasons? It doesent matter, the imperium deserved to burn.
>>97390261horus fundamentally failed to recognized that the astartes and the primarchs were created to serve (and die on behalf of) wider humanity as opposed to the other way aroundif there is one thing that the space marine chapters of the later millenia would properly serve as emblems of, it is being willing to go extinct in the name of upholding the imperium because that is what their purpose at its core was if called forall astartes are completely disposable and that there were twenty(one) primarchs fashioned very much indicates the same of them
>>97390261>TQ Horus was wrong for no reasons, because all the BL retcons make him out to be a retard who trusted a literal fever dream as all I took to rebel and chose nothing but the most abject retards and utter knaves as his allies and confidants. The fact that the traitors made it as far as they did is only possible by the matched retardation of the loyalists because apparently no one has ever heard of phoning home to confirm orders or conversing with their fellow primarchs or the jig would immediately be up.
>>97390261TQLittle bit of bothFunny enough, the existance of Primarus LITERALLY prove he was right, that the primarchs and even space marines were just tools that would eventually be replaced by better tools and that they did not matter except to serve their purpose. So in that regard, Primarus proved horus was right, but chaos being the answer was wrong.
>>97390261>TQDepends what motivation you actually go with. I've seen different people argue strongly for several, often conflicting. Can't tell if he's a luciferian pride-unto-arrogance type, if he was scared of being discarded, if he was corrupted by chaos, or if he saw the emperor's actions as leading to an end so terrible that the destruction of humanity would be preferable. (All of these have been indicated at different times). The problem is, each time someone tries to lean on one of these, it weakens the other, and apparently there's no overall vision at GW, so ultimately, Horus is 4+ people doing things for a whole host of reasons and seems to be wrong or right for all of them.
>>97390274It's ok Anon, you can serve your penance in the dick sucking factory.
>>97390410Why does he have to go to your mom's house?
>>97390261I have a wild idea for a conversion i wanna do.I wanna use ferus manus and make a Legion of the Damned version of it based on the Master of Mankind novel.
>>97390427I didn't know the dsf had moved to the graveyard?
>>97390261Horus was just another genewrought warlord with power and ambition enough to burn worldsOld Night never ended, it just started being documented
>>97390512why does your mom live in a graveyard? that's fucking weird dude
How did you decide on what company your army belonged to?
>>97390402>, each time someone tries to lean on one of these, it weakens the otherI dont know if I agree with that. Pride, the belief that he could do better and deserved to rule, does not weaken the idea that he might have been driven by a fear of being discarded, or that he saw the emperors final vision as horrific. Likewise chaos corrupting him doesent necessarily undo those other motivations. If horus were still afraid of being replaced, but not as proud and arrogant? He might have simply marched hesitantly to the grave, an inner conflict simmering within him without the will to act on it or the belief that he could, maybe he becomes fatalistic in his outlook. Without chaos being involved he might still move towards rebellion, but it would not be as extreme, as total, maybe he seeks to carve out his own empire rather than claim his fathers head. If he believed in the emperors vision he might have accepted the personal consequences, he might have been fine with being replaceable or doomed. It doesent have to be "only one reason", it might be a confluence of different factors and motivations.
>TQNeither.Horus was determined to betray the Emperor eventually. Chaos only gave him the justification to do so. He was prideful, arrogant, and turned on his creator the moment he was pressed with an inconvenient truth. Most Space Marines are unironically braver than Horus was because they endure in spite of their circumstances, not throw away everything because of them.
>>9739058833rd echelon of the world eaters, 331st-340th companies with the first of said lot being focused on, an assault group, armoured and air and supporting infantry elements drawn from the rest of the pool as called forthree is a cool number, it's all a good ways away from any cunts that are gonna show up in any BL writing, and we well-appointed highly doctrinal and proud outriders up in this hoe waging our own personal wars in the periphery under a combined SoH and word bearer leash and dipping in here and there to commit alongside larger actions, namely falling back into the throng for the siege at the end
>>97390761>331st-340th companiesWat, wasnt each company 1000 dudes?
Well if Alone and Forgotten isn't practical anymore that just means I can play centurions and dreadnoughts now.Might have a game this week let's see.
>>97390765one hundred last i was awarechapters are the thousand-strong formations but they possess many names
>>97390588I just pick a number based on old the army is supposed to be. Like my word bearers are the 3rd chapter "solar angels", 2nd and 1st company because they were once proper terran old lads whose leadership got purged for having doubts and replaces with colchisians while leaving the bulk of the faithful in place, while my ultramarines are the 236th company of the 24th chapter "Hounds of Ultramar" because they're evocatii not present at calth.
>>9739076575-150 on average. Plus command elements and support assets.
