Whats the best entropist build for beating paladins?
Give it to me straight, anons. What makes (You) more worthy of an isekai than everyone else?

>>97404852Nothing? It's just a random event. We're all reading the same synopsis after all.
>>97404852I've surely put more effort into crafting and perfecting my worlds than anyone else. So many hours spent carefully crafting and tweaking these stories. I must be the most worthy to taste a different reality.

>>97398151I realize it might be too late, but since that thread is going, I'll just say it here since it's a real peeve of mine...What is the point of these cyoas where you select an era for (you) to live in up to the modern age of sci-fi? I mean...why the fuck would you EVER pick the early options?>Mhm yes I *would* like to live in the stone age where the wealthiest and most powerful is less comfortable than a modern day hoboL>Preventable disease? WONDEFFUL. I would love to die or to see my loved ones die by diseases such as "shit out your bowels until you're dead" viruses #1 through #50>I do like the idea of having extremely low availability of goods even if I were a monarch. Fresh fruit? Who needs it!I get it, it's "interesting". But the moment you're saying "I" the player am the one choosing to live like this, it becomes ridiculous and fake to choose anything but around modernity.Anything you want from the earlier ages can usually be achieved in modernity in such cyoas, anyway, and there's nearly never any cost to picking so.So tell me - what's the point outside of dumb vibes?
>>97405381And again, I really do get the whole "coolness" factor. Obviously, a Victorian age with non-humans would probably have some really interesting shit like absolutely insane phrenological schizoid philosophy nonsense But then you remember it's also an age where bakers added aluminum sulfate and plaster to bread.
>>97405381>>97405406> So tell me - what's the point outside of dumb vibes? If you don't want to downgrade your living conditions and safety for dumb vibes then why are you even touching isekai slop?
>>97405381None. Just another cyoa in the pile of unbalanced trash.
>>97405381>>97405406Why be happy when you can make everyone else suffer?
>>97405483You're not getting it anon. If there's an isekai to the middle ages, then sure, it is part of the story. You just gotta be fine with the decreased conditions. You could argue how being a medieval king is better than being a modern serf. But if you give me a choice, then why, and how, could I choose the early ages? Yeah, I *could* go live in the ancient era with Jackal Cleopatra, but it would be impossible for me to genuinely choose an era where waterpipes were made of lead over the modern era where they aren't.
>>97405058Dreamland retards since they can apparently kill you while you sleep.
>>97405512What I am getting is the unnecessary delegation of Doylistic options to Watsonian ones out of habit, ironically taking agency away from the player by insinuating the exact insanity you're describing.
>>97405583In a way, but it's more about the fact that it's but a mere choice. Now, if it was a situation, as some do, where the closer you get to modernity, the more "expensive" it is, forcing you to skimp out on other parts? That much I can get. If you have that, then it becomes an calculation - would you rather be rich and powerful back then, or not so rich and powerful now? At what point are you content with the equilibrium of power-technology?
>>97405512i mean sorta depends, if you retain these insights even after getting into the cyoa's setting then you can just change things more than likely to not be as shitty, invent plumbing systems that dont suck and arent made of lead, invent germ theory and vaccination, etc etc, and even more than this what is probably appealing to people is well getting to live in these ages they read so much about and think are cool as all heck, when you ignore the issues like disease and whatnot which most people do anyways, theres also people wanting to live in these eras so they can change certain events and see what happens, what happens if rome fell to carthage, what happens if the black plague never occurs, what happens if this incompetent king gets booted and replaced with someone more fitting, etc etcoh addendum theres also cases where people go to these eras just from curiosity about bits of history, of course not really relevant for the furry history trip but for other ones, you can get to do things like find the original unaltered versions of ancient myths and legends or if theyre actually based on real historical events that got mytholoigized, read books lost to some rulers book burning escapades or from lost libraries like alexandria, find out if king arthur was actually female (kek), find out what really happened during events that we have no first hand accounts from, either from such accounts never having been made or them being destroyed by time or malice, etc etc
>>97405672That's a bad example since the furry cyoa just straight up gives you three specific choices of life.Ultimately, I think I'd just choose the option that is literally just "the world now has furries and also you get a million dollars" and then go back to 4chan so I can learn what new racial slurs exist. I mean, the future options would be good but then you look at the life's and the choices are "that one /trash/ femdom fetish world vs cyberpunk vs a future with a specific mention of weird sex toys as a notable alien invention"
https://imgchest.com/p/qe4gmez3j4jIs it possible to remove deviant form in time? Or does the drawback talk about removing the sense of disgust and fear from others?
