I really wish the white dwarf aor for tzeentch was not legends. The arcanite aor needs A LOT more going for it to be interesting, it barely has a foundation to begin with between kairics and the jade obelisks. Don’t even get me started on the single spell, it should have at least retained the chaos spawn spell. With that being said I’m still gonna build a list around it because I love arcanites. Maybe I can do something with it in ptg.
>>97508322I think these big swings in terms of the rules are more or less emblematic of what's frustrating about AoS as a game, but also what's fun. The studio will periodically throw the baby out with the bathwater. It's just a thing they do. Both DoT and LRL are huge steps away from their faction packs. And the faction packs were massively different from their battletomes. These changes happen relatively frequently in AoS. That can piss people off, but this also makes it exciting to stick around and see how things develop over time.
Wait why the fuck is the Great Unclean One SO expensive??
>>97508569It's a giant highly detailed plastic model. It sits on a giant circular base that is 13cm in diameter.
should i pick up a verming lord, or just go all out and buy vizzik
>>97508711The deceiver is a fucked up unit, but extremely fun to use
>>97508711Vizzik is neat but the Verminlord kit gives you some neat options and lots of leftover bits for kitbashing. I sure as shit don't have my skaven army anymore but I kept this fucker.
>>97508569It's a suprisingly big kit, you also get quite a few extra bits for Rotigus and the 2 variants of him.
>>97508283>battletome spoilersHow are the new loomie and tzeentch heroes, anything fun or useful?
>>97508937There is a video on youtube where they review the units, at least for DoT.
>>97508937People are wising up to Wardens and how good they can be for the cost. New hero gives +3 rally dice to all LRL(could get nerfed to only infantry or Vanari) and lets them do anti-impact hits. So a block of 20 gets to fish for 5+ mortals. Combine him with a Bannerblade that lets you use rally even in combat and you’re rolling 9 dice to bring back wardens that are likely being made tankier by runes or spells. Tzeentch hero is pretty good and has a great combat spell.
>>97508965Thanks for the writeup anon, preciate it.I'm guessing they'll post the community paintjobs and whatnot today then.
As a rule, I fucking *hate it* when people are crying for nerfs before there has even been a proper release, but does anyone else feel like Lumineth are a bit overtuned? I'm kind of torn, on the one hand I love expression of skill and system mastery, and am really enjoying what I hope is now a trend of battletomes with meaningful choices to make, that aren't "solved" in the first weekend... on the other hand the Lumineth tome is absolutely full of very powerful effects that just work without dice rolling layered inside of dice rolling, Eltharion's "nothing personal, kid" being perhaps the ur-example; in what world is that not a once per battle ability? The other thing is these abilities and warscrolls don't exist in a vacuum; it is trivially easy to stack +5 ward, anything below a natural 4 misses, on units with a +4 save or better, and most of these things can also box. Warden blobs are going to be very hard to shift; I don't see a list that doesn't begin with two reinforced blobs with a vanari lord and a bannerblade behind them, maybe park some sentinels and a ballista back there, and obviously Eltharion is auto-include.Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful that between Hashut, Nurgle, Lumies, and Tzeentch we now have four battletomes that actually have some meat to them, but the problem is, as I see it, that for two years prior we've gotten nothing but beer and pretzels nonsense where all the choices are traps and/or don't matter. Power creep has always been a thing, but these new books are in a class of their own.
>>97509188Aren't chorfs kind of weak, despite their ginmicks? That aside the loomie buff stacking stuff seems pretty powerful, but iirc they got some sizeable price hikes across the board in anticipation. We'll see if that will actually be enough though, because you're right that some of their tricks seems rather 'free' compared to the hoops everyone else had to jump through earlier in the edition. I mean more than anything I'm happy that battletomes finally allow you to actually do shit but it does suck for half of the game's worth of armies that got their tome released in the ctrl c ctrl v period. Somebody else pointed out the difference in idk and loomie tomes and it was quite painful.
Soo thinking of getting into AoS should I wait fir the the rumoured 2bd wave of cos or wait for the rumoured new stunties faction?
>>97509317We have no idea which one comes 1st
>>97509317>>97509318CoS is going to be revealed at Adepticon according to the rumours
YOAnon that painted pic relDo you have more pictures of your models I like that style (??) very much and want to emulate it
>>97509317stunties are still a way off
>>97509230>Aren't chorfs kind of weakOnly if you can't find a place with bull centaurs in stock. But in all seriousness I find them very fun, even if it's clear which warscrolls (unique and non-unique infernal taurus, bull centaurs, infernal cohort, all the warmachines) carry the army. For a debuting faction, a faction debuting in AoS4, no less, I'm quite satisfied with the book. They're also doing well enough in the competitive scene, even winning some events. Anointed Sentinel is an impressively bad warscroll, though.I'd say the chorfs are solidly high-B, low-A tier. They can play good old fashioned, honest Warhammer well enough, but they'll struggle a bit against the buff stacking, teleport shenanigans, and overtuned faggotry of the Lumineth.>>97509317Helsmiths of Hashut oddly enough deliver a pretty classic dwarf experience. If your heart is set on one of two rumors, I say wait for the dwarfs. CoS has way too much going on with their aesthetic; even the most basic troops are over-designed to all hell, with more fiddly details than the heroes of other armies.
>>97509188overtuned is putting it lightly, lumineth look like they are playing 5th edition. Look at early tomes, skaven is only holding on together due to the ghyran bell, once that goes away the faction is dead in the water
>>97509317CoS will probably be shown off for adepticon, new dwarfs will come at the end of the year at best, maybe early 2027 instead. I'd say wait til the cos reveals and see if you like em >>97509408Huh, good to know. I was quite unimpressed with their spearhead when I faced it . Nice to see the full army is doing better at least.
>>97509408my only complain with the chorfs is that the artillery looks really badly designed modelwise when you compare them to the fantasy daemon engines

>>97510093don't use the whole arms, cut at the vambraces, it's why they're wearing shit there in the first place.
>>97510083sog acolytes are maybe the strongest unit in the game right now

>You declared a spell abilitySo this reaction specifically applies only to the spells cast by one of your other wizards? Pretty funky to have an ability that lets you unbind your own spells.https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/zpke56li/the-face-of-change-in-battletome-disciples-of-tzeentch-with-ryan-from-threshold-tactics/
Ignore the 3D dude in the foreground. Check out the 2D dude in the background.
>>97509188I think certain builds will be overpowered and deserving of the nerf, but I think people are overreacting because they think the army will have access to ALL of the things during the game, which just isn’t the case. The double Vanari Blob + VLR + and Bannerblade comes out to 730 points, which I think is a healthy cost for what is your bread and butter infantry unit that is capable of doing its job.Dot and LRL WILL cause a lot of moaning though because they are both the first tomes with colossal overhauls in traits and warscrolls AND they will be good. LRL is essentially a new army with how different it plays. I’m personally shelving my Deepkin until 5th or significant changes beyond points because looking at both battletomes and realizing they’re from the same edition of the same game is embarrassing. Deepkin’s one claim to fame right now is mobility and Tzeentch is about to leave them in the dust.>>97509437You’re not far off the mark. I’d say something like 4.5e. But the fact remains. Forcing the release of battletomes at the start of the edition is a detriment to the game because this happens every time and GW doesn’t want to change it or cares too much about how it looks in financials not to put out books at the launch of an edition. Early tomes are written with more constraints because they’re done nearly at the same time the edition itself is done and it takes almost a year and half of tome releases to see proper army updates. Some early tomes can get lucky but it’s not often.
>>97510276would be nice if gw pushed its battletome/codex art out online.
>>97510221For generating FP. Flavor-wise, it’s hilarious having a magister force a fellow to fail their cast.
Are all mortal Hedonite armies fun to play? An army that's all Myrmidesh Painbringers, Twinsouls, Sigvald, Hellstriders. Blissbard archers etc.Love the models and it seems like they'd be fun af on the table.
>>97510285Yeah the entirely predictable rules cycle gets extremely annoying once you've been in the game long enough to notice that it happens every edition without fail. Getting your battletome in the first year of a new edition has always been a curse, though on the opposite end you have the poor suckers who finally get their cool, updated rules less than 6 months before the next edition release.
>>97510285Man, I keep forgetting that the IDK book even came out. It even had a new track and everything and it was still snores ville.
>>97510406My idea for alleviating that, even slightly is to stop the end of edition narrative campaign in the last 30 seconds of the edition and instead spread the books throughout. In the early narrative books give a few new toys to the factions that won’t be getting a book till later and in the later narrative books towards the end give new rules to the early books. It addresses 2 issues: 1, the one we’re discussing, and 2, the feeling of the narrative “time freeze” between the edition launch and end campaign. They could do that or just do more SoG style updates.
>>97510404The guy who won the aos championship a while back did so using mostly slaanesh mortals. I don't know about fun but it's certainly viable at the very least
God DAMN these threads are dead lately.
>>97510276That's the fatemaster
>>97510404I think more people play mortal only, or at least mortal heavy, Slaanesh amies anyway since the daemons generally aren't loved.
>fail to successfully replace underworlds' cards arts with photoshopped models>start heavily using it for the tomes instead this means less money going to actual artists for actual artworks by the way
>>97508937I found a potentially fun interaction between the new kairos ability and the gaunt summoner on disc. The gaunt summoner can roll to insta kill an enemy hero their in combat with assuming the roll exceeds the targets health. Kairos's new ability lets you make that 2D6 roll automatically a 9, which will kill most foot heroes. The summoner isn't super survivable with only a 5+ save 5+ ward but if that hero can't one shot it, it would have no option but to retreat, letting you bully them away from providing useful buffs and abilities.
>check secondary market after a few weeks>lots of basecoated gitmob out of nowhereWhat did I miss, they get nerfed bad or something? I didn't even know they were good lol.>>97510671>startI think they've been doing this for ages sadly
>>97509317we're a ways off from both. I'd say pick which one you like and get the spearhead for that.
>>97510276I need that art
>>97510671don't be so pessimistic, evocative diorama shots are as important as good artworks and gw was going to cheap on the number and quality of artworks anyway
>>97510687When is the next preview show anyway? Adepticon in late march ish? I think we can expect CoS to be revealed then, released a month or two after that.
>>97510276>Ignore the 3D dude in the foregroundI can't. He's giving me a look like he's trying to seduce me. It's distracting.
>Lord of Blights doesn't pass rotten heads to Blightkings to throw >Instead he has a 2+ anti-charge D3 MW for plague drones What
>>97510671They'd do model photos anyway, this at least looks more interesting
>>97510806All the cool, fun stuff - as well as shooting attacks, keep getting stripped with each new edition and battletome. Shit sucks.
Could gits knock a fyre slayer out before they break their hands?
>>97511006I can understand that but if Blightkings got the anti-charge I'd accept that too. It's just baffling that Plaguedrones have rotten heads gifted to them by a Lord of Blights thematically now? Plaguebearers have the heads too so it's even more puzzling
Is the Tzeentch Daemons Battleforce up for pre order tomorrow? I know most AoS battleforces don’t sell out right away, but I am reading that the latest Tzeentch AoS codex is busted. My question is, do you think I should rush to get it? I want to get two boxes to cover basically all my Tzeentch Daemon needs for TOW.
>>97509903thank you!I fucking hate downloading images from that shithole but still, thanks!I will now import these images into my brain and analyze them and make it my own hehSee you in the big league
>>97511149>I am reading that the latest Tzeentch AoS codex is bustedrules are the worst reason to buy minis. Even if they were busted, which they're probably not, the nerf hammer could come down in 6 months and they could be below gitz tier, anything could happen. You should buy units you like and think are cool, not what you think will be meta. >should I rush to get itHaving said that, the battleforce seems like a really good deal, and getting two boxes will give you enough units to build a full 2k list in multiple ways. I'm a bit annoyed because I've been slowly getting my tzeentch stuff second hand and if I had just waited for this I could have got the same units for about the same level of discount. I would double check on ebay, I know some stores sell those battleforces online at a slight discount with no shipping cost. Even if they sell out quick, people will post them back on ebay to recoup losses when some of them realize they don't have the time to put the army together. I wouldn't be to stressed about it either way, but imo this is a pretty good deal
>>97508711vermin lord. I have no hate for vizzik but I just like generic characters more. Personall.y
>>97510551Give me Lewd art requests
>>97511307Hey friend! Thanks for the long reply. Just wanted to clarify. I am asking not because I am worried about how good the units in the box are. I don’t play AoS I play TOW and want the box for TOW. I am asking because I know in 40k if a meta Battleforce comes out it gets sold out day 1. I was wondering if I should worry about WAAC buying everything out in the first day or if it’ll be more like a standard Battleforce where it can be found here and there still a few months after.

The fact that he's capable of such a fucktarded take when Lumies are releasing the same weekend is legitimately impressive.>>97510285I'm trying to just relax and remember as annoying as wardens will be, they're still one wound models. I'm gonna get really fucked annoyed if wardens are better at grinding than my infernal cohort, though.>>97511149First, I second the other anon's sentiment that you should never, ever, ever buy models because of the rules they have today; rules change on a dime. Even if Tzeentch is busted, if it's to the point of being a problem you can bet it'll be adjusted before your army is table ready. Buy the shit that looks cool, that you get excited about. Anyway, if you're on the fence about Tzeentch, the battleforce is a good deal, with the caveat that I feel like everything except for the wizard chicken probably has new models some time in the next three years.

I don't expect it to sell out immediately or anything, but probably won't be sitting on shelves for too long either.
>>97511713At least the art they got was cool. Still, until they get angels I’m not looking into the haunt.
>>97511668I did not know that. Cool!
>>97511668>Nopedo you think the rules option existed because the kit was made flexible or do you think the kit was made flexible because the option had to exist in the rules?because I can point to a number of kits where you can assemble the creature without the rider with no particular issue even without rules for it

>As an Old Worlder I am sure you would expect a glass of champagne and a cigar smoked to this video. And you would be right, but not to celebrate the downfall of AoS, simply because as an Old Worlder I am of higher culture and taste, this is simply the accoutrement of a man of the Old World; nay -- I find no joy in the plight of Sigmar's Age. Despite its violent birth killing our beloved Old World (for but a time!), I have found much love in the sculpts and creative freedom and ability for Games Workshop to go wild in a truly high fantasy setting. While I do prefer the more grounded Old World with its historical real world mockeries, some real gems have come from Age of Sigmar that I quite enjoy, and so many other people have found love for the game. While I will not be sad to see Age of Sigmar go, I truly I hope only for great models and fun rules for all fantasy gamers! And in this let us rejoice and write instead our grudges against the real enemy -- 40k
>>97511779We know the models come first, GW have confirmed as much a dozen times
>Unironically what AoS deserved. Just sucks for the players who enjoyed it (NOT me). When they Old Yeller'd WHFB and said to play AoS instead many players just like me left the hobby (and even dropped 40k as well). >Some of us came back for The Old World- and were eventually dragged back into 40k along with it. Still, It warms my heart to see AoS drop off a cliff. GW deserves to lose hard on it after what they did to us at the end of WHFB.>Good riddance Age of Shitmar. Rest in Piss.
>>97511928Well sure, but the models still get sculpted to specific guidelines like "has to have multiple build options" or whatever, so I don't think that's very relevant in this specific case.
Is Alarielle on the same powerlevel as Nagash?
>>97511935>>Some of us came back for The Old World- and were eventually dragged back into 40k along with it [...] GW deserves to lose hard on it after what they did to us at the end of WHFB.Lel wargaming really creates a special breed of consoomer.Anyway I know this is a baitpost and all, but this type of person is really common and it always vexes me a little. Someone who thinks of age of sigmar as some sort of entity on its own that "does" things, like for example "kill fantasy". Like they've anthropomorphized a game system and will seethe over it instead of the company making the decisions ironically I'm anthropomorphizing gw here a bit, but you know what I mean So you'll get people like this who are mad at age of sigmar as if it is its own independent actor instead of just a system games workshop wanted to make some money off of, while being fans of (and presumably buying stuff for) the other systems sold by the exact same company. You get what I'm saying?Like consolewars were already baffling enough but at least people were rooting for two different companies.
>>97511992Probably not. The thing with Natasha is that he ate multiple gods and governs the majority of shyish even while he’s…well dead. The everqueen can’t even get kurnoth from jobbing to some fat bastards.

>>97511999I’ve said it before but it’s like someone that orders Big Macs ragging on someone that likes McNuggets. It’s hilariously pathetic.
>>97511992yes and nothey're both mortals who have ascended to a form of godhood, one way or another, and they're both the keystone of their respective realm to the point where they are the realm, the main differences are that alarielle is connected to a whole previous elven pantheon, which may be a hindrance or a boon, we just don't know, but more importantly nagash is aggressively expanding its power or the amount of power he has at its fingertips at any given time: he has consumed almost all other death gods, he has built a fulcrum to command the energies of death on a large scale (the pyramid) and he's been embodying his role as the embodiment of death almost to the point of it drowning his own personality and identity at some points.alarielle is way more conservative in that approach, so it would be logical to assume she doesn't really command as much of ghyran and its energies at any given moment as much as nagash is doing, BUT it is also true that nagash has been set back in significant ways a few times (such as the defeats by archaon and by teclis), while alarielle has solidified her war aspect since the realmgate wars and the rite of life she unleashed is possibly as important as the necroquake as far as her powerbase is concerned.I'd lean to say nagash is singlehandedly a more powerful entity because of his more aggressive and daring approach, but we're not talking about an impassable divide between them.
>>97511999Yeah it's pretty schizo, but we're at the midpoint of 4th and this does appear to be an objective low point for AoS, so I am a bit worried about what GW is going to do.

Hi AoSisters Looking to get into the hobby with my brother so we were going to buy a spearhead each. Ive heard spearhead is fun before expanding into the wider system. We're poor fags so might be spearheading for a little bit. Outside of picking what we think is cool, is it all relatively balanced? Any fun match ups
>>97512514It isn't.>>97512497Good.
I doubt there's any official answer but is Othar considered a deathrattle or is he more of a mordant? Are there deathrattle that can float around like that?
>>97512426>the same horrible neon color scheme as aquarium rocksThis probably went really hard, 45 years ago.
Isn’t punk prison slang for cocksucker
>>97512527*malignant not mordant so like a nighthaunt
>>97512527He doesn’t look like he’s in pain or oissed off so probably soulblight.
>>97512524It's the most fun one can have with AoS right now imo. It's also fairly well balanced but some matchups are busted.Go for fluffy if you want fun, so look to the lore. Daughters of Khaine vs Hedonites, Hallowed Knights painted Stormcast vs Maggotkin, Lumineth vs Bonereapers, Helsmiths vs Grots or Ironjawz (if you want a traditional Dwarves vs orcs rivalry), Overlords vs Tzeentch and so on.
>>97512524> is it all relatively balanced?Kind of? the points disparity between spearheads isn't that big and because of the RNG of terrain effects, twist cards, and your battle tactics rng has a lot more say in the results so even a worse spearhead can win. That said, I don't know what factions your looking at but the new maggotkin spearhead is questionable and the new KO spearhead is terrible. I didn't do the math myself but I saw a video breakdown where that spearhead has the lowest potential combat damage of any spearhead box, being almost half of the next lowest. The old KO spearhead is considerably better so on the off chance your interested in the faction, look for the old spearhead or the box sets that let you build it.
>>97511992No, Nagash is +1 from incarnates for eating other gods
>>97511400All the 40K WAACfags are playing Guard and Necron at the moment. AoS doesn't have nearly as much of a WAAC problem as 40K does, and Tzeentch is releasing at the same time as Lumies, who are the clear pick for WAACfags. Ironically, having gone over both tomes pretty thoroughly at this point, I feel like Tzeentch has the potential to be more oppressive, but the key difference is the army doesn't play itself, and there's way more room for skill expression and interactivity; Tzeentch is the army for people who play AoS for 300 IQ, you just activated my trap card, just according to keikaku moments, whereas Lumies are for the (now grown-up) annoying fat kid who kept pulling new powers out of his ass during recess. My point being, I wouldn't worry about this thing selling out if you need to wait a week or two for a paycheck.>>97511558>lumineth looks like a sidegradeVanari, Scinari, and Eltharion is all you need.>the broken eltharion ability"Broken" somehow feels like an understatement. It's one of those rare instances where there's an argument to be made for a tier above S-tier, because he would still be auto-include if you could only use it once per game, or had to roll a +3 to do it.>they gained new tools which are fun"Fun?" Lumie players will probably struggle to find games outside of events, and at events people are going to look at you like "you could've been anything, and yet you chose to be a faggot.">their casting is far less reliable nowAnd yet, still very reliable. You've still got Teclis, you've still got foot wizards that are priced to move, and the unlimited spell from Lore of Hysh is good in a vacuum, let alone after it gets added to the layers upon layers of buffs you can stack.>>97511713It isn't favoritism so much as it took the game designers over a year to figure out what the actual fuck they were doing. It's not just your ghosts, it's anything that was released before Hashut, with the possible exception of Skaven.

Hey guys, coming back to the game after taking a break around 2021, so late 2nd and very early 3rd edition. I haven't had any games yet but from what I understand 4th is pretty divisive. How are idoneth and gloomspite doing these days? From lurking the last few threads it seems they've already had their tomes but this is actually a negative as the early tomes were quite boring? Is that an overreaction or are they really quite dull atm? Also from what I can see gits got a wolf rider expansion while idk seems to have had some extra heroes, is that right? Thanks guys.

The new Lumineth battle trait is very cool, but it's a lot to keep in your head. It's kind of like the whole space marine assault devastator whatever honestly, but with a lot more flexibility. I think it is neat how the easiest way to track this is going to be actually writing down the runes as you go.
>>97514867Man actually this seems really tough to play into. You can do so much buffing and tons of movement debuffing. I guess it's theoretically high skill ceiling? But I'm pretty sure Teclis/archer spam will still as good as it has been historically. You can really amp up any Lumineth unit defensively, and a lot of them are still really fast, and you can debuff enemy units very well. IDK man! I guess they aren't that good into strong shooting armies?? This seems pretty wretched to play into if you don't have good shooting.

It's amazing looking at how good the Lumineth tome is compared to how bad the Deepkin tome was. Like strictly better design across the board.

>>97515055Meanwhile in Tzeentch:>you lost one of the strongest dice-fixing mechanics that has ever been implemented in Warhammer for a mechanic that rewards you only when you're getting your ass beat[cope voice] just... as... planned...
>>97515073In general although I dislike how they've changed Tzeentch's basic trait I think both of these tomes are much better designed than some we had earlier in 4e. I do not understand the autistic fixation on lack of interesting things, complexity and detail that was so common at the start of 4th. I think the corner was only starting to turned for me with the Khorne book with that herohammer army that was both fun and thematic and not a complete mechanical mess. There were so many tome refreshes that were a total loss just because it felt like the designers couldn't be bothered putting in effort.
>>97515055yea also comparing it to shit like soulblight and nighthaunt, like nighthaunt just got nerfed down to dust after their tome, and soulblight has got so much wholly within shit and hoops to jump through to get a decent punch into your opponent, its annoying as hellbut then lumineth out here with literally every buff at their fingertips and mega game control over spells n shit also eltharion to make the game utlra easy mode. (imo positioning units is a good 80% of the skill of this game and eltharion can just teleport to whereever he is needed whenever) i am hoping (ultra coping) that they on-boarded some new game design staff right before doing the tzeentch and lumineth books because the favoritism is pretty extreme if they just think lumineth just deserve these types of rules

You get singular points to add to any given roll so unlike before where you would just put down a fate dice with 6, you now need to accumulate 6 fate points for the same effect. Fate points you don't start with, and you'll be averaging only 15-20 FP per game, assuming your taking the worse traits that help you generate more fate points. The worst part about this is I don't even really mind that the overal effect is worse, I just hate that you don't interact with the mechanic unless your losing. Objectively unfun design that only serves to mitigate losses and objectively worse than any mechanic that you can use right away to start winning. >>97516353I like daemons besides slaanesh
>>97516540I’m actually curious if they’ll do the same battleforce for slaanesh. Probably not.
Kinda wish if they made kits less customizable they would at least do what that one high elf kit did, and just have the entire body already assembled and leave the arms up to me to glue. The new marauders do not spark joy upon looking at their sprue and instructions.
>>97516847Someone somewhere calculated that 5mm thiner box lets you save money on shiping which resulted in models being awkwardly cut in half to fit in the smaller box
Huh.

>>97516919I’m losing my shit, they really boggified the elves to be chads. Also featuring cado.
Some fallout from Arcane Cataclysm>THE WAR OF SHAME>When the Many Tombs of Sarandua in the land of Iliatha are breached, it triggers a ferocious war of sorcery between the Lumineth and the worshippers of Tzeentch. The cultists seek the forbidden devices that have been ensconced in sacred sites ever since the Spirefall. The lands around Tor Kitise become thronged with cult demagogues, arcanists and magisters hell-bent on unleashing these ancient artefacts. At the Sanctum of Elucidum, Fatemaster Sykoreth, the Unholy Vizard, attempts to sunder the wards of radiance around the vault. His prize is the Arch-Pendulum of Thalventir, with which he plans to attack the city. Loreseeker Vethial and a phalanx of Iliathan simulacra succeed in stopping him, but the end of the war is nowhere in sight.

Can someone post the Zaitrec gallery in the codex sounds cool
>>97517027The real soulblight was the curse of the Norwood reaper.
>>97517046It's just models painted red and gold.
>>97517027I guess he was from Manfred liniage after all
>>97516933
>>97516394>>97516443This is literally the only reason I'm not starting Tzeentch right now; I've dealt with the faggotry of GW long enough to know that a deal as good as that battleforce is practically confirmation of a major release wave with the next battletome.>>97517119That reminds me, I have a random question for anyone who plays CoS; does the steelhelm kit come with enough options to have all dudes, or are you required to put a chick in it, and make her gay and lame?
>>97517184>does the steelhelm kit come with enough options to have all dudes, or are you required to put a chick in it, and make her gay and lame? All the CoS kits give you an absurd number of heads/helmets. You're not forced into anything.
>>97516919They should get Henry Cavil to make a !Witcher series for him
Hmmm…to paint a treelord or finish my sacrosanct stormcast.

>>97517539Same. They were cute. I kinda wish CoS had something like them.
The writers excused the conspicuous absence of Ydrilan spirits from the army.>Unlike the other temples of the aelementiri, the Ydrilan do not currently venture into battle alongside their native elemental spirits. The war-forms of the river have proved difficult to ally with even in favourable circumstances, for they cannot be entreated through patience and contrition like those of the mountain nor can they be tricked or cajoled like those of the air. A river spirit demands surrender to its will and flow of its supplicants, but there is an even greater impediment to their incarnation. The blight of Chaos contamination is so thorough and pervasive that many of these spirits are beyond communion. They suffer so heinously, they can only express their torment through devastating inundations or reckless torrents. The Ydrilan toil tirelessly to cleanse these spirits and bring them back to cogency, but the resurgence of the Skaven, polluting rivers and streams with warpstone, and the Maggotkin's recent efforts to taint the waterways with their plague mills have made this task more difficult. Yet, the effort of revivification continues and there is hope that the greater spirits of the temple might yet be restored.
>>97515781I do miss the art deco and general bigness of stuff.
>>97517658>Yet, the effort of revivification continues and there is hope that the greater spirits of the temple might yet be restored.Translation, we're keeping these in our pocket until the idea bucket runs dry.
>>97516933This
>>97515736Are they ever planning on introducing new cities or are they just going to kill em off to show that this or that big bad faction is the real deal? I feel like the twin-tailed crusade was supposed to do that but embergard got blown up immediately and verdigris was forgotten equally fast.>>97517729Same as it ever was innit
>>97517658If Lumineth get a big fish water monster I think every Idoneth player would kill themselves on the spot
>>97517899The one river spirit we know about is Daxio Whitecrest and it looks equine rather than piscine.
>>97517907Right, it matches up with the River Guys having horse helmet crests as well.
>>97517907Yeah, but it would be funny if Idoneth become the 2nd fish elf faction because James Workshop loves Lumineth more
>>97517925I guess it could be a seahorse. Or riverhorse in this instance.
>>97517927>riverhorseLumineth hippo riders incoming
>>97517927It's probably more like a Hippocampushttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hippocampus_(mythology)
>>97517933We need crocodile riders to go with the kangaroos. The full Aussification of lumineth cannot be stopped
>>97517952They're already committed to the horse motif, like it or not. And for a while now it's felt like the AoS team has been restraining itself from putting any design ideas into production if they could be deemed too outlandish.
What's DoK wave 2 going to bring?
>>97518045A wave sort of similar to what khadrons got. Does the faction actually even have faction terrain?
>>97515009I just hope for some HOH POV
I never noticed the new dice for tzeentch and lrl. They look nice. Although tzeentch really is not beating the cotton candy allegations.
>>97518072They look tasty.
They look not bad.
>>97517986>it's felt like the AoS team has been restraining itself from putting any design ideas into production if they could be deemed too outlandishis that why everything has bullhorns now?
>>97518076nice colors but it's a bit bright and cute for me>>97518079literally anything would have been better than their old dice
>>97518088I have these. Took my LRL to the RTT and 0-3'd like usual but they feel so nice to roll.
>>97518088Those are aesthetic.
>>97518052No faction terrain.
>>97517184You don't have enough helmeted male heads for all models, if you want all men then some must be without helmetspriest aside
>>97518088These might suck to actually use idk but they are so unbelievably SOVL
>>97518088I would prefer they make weird shit like this and the squig dice you can get generic dice anywhere
>>97518277I'd fuck and cum inside someone for a cool pair of themed dice for even a single army in each GA.
>>97518187>>97518092They don't suck.
>>97518335They look like they'd be a pain in the ass to read though. Reminds me of that one idoneth (?) dice set that was like clear with blue waves or whatever for numbers. Horrible.
>>97518346They're actually very clear to read. As you can see the pips are far from the borders and any sane person would tell you skulls are 1 and Alaithi is 6. But even on these, the 1 being skull is further evidenced by the number placement.Alaithi3 52 4 1
>>97518349I wrote 1 instead of skull...
>>97518349It's more the adjacent sides being visible like that, feels like it could throw you off on a glance y'know what I mean? But yeah never seen em in action so I'll take your word for it
