Yeah more like horny corsairs than hardcore agents of Slaanesh. Fulgrim himself has been known to join the raids because my warband is so fun and loud. Well fun for them, not so much fun for the people living on the planets they pillage. But if they didn’t want to be pillaged they shouldn’t be growing so many fields of space-poppies and be making so much space-opium.

It would be cheap if it wasn't for how I want to play lol
I'm building a Separatist Holdout, because I want to fight my buddy's Empire.
I plan to include only characters who are still around during the Empire so Maul, Kalani, Bossk, Cad Bane, Hondo and the generic Sep Leaders. I'm debating whether or not I'm "allowed" to bring Ventress as she's still alive then and I love her character, I'm leaning towards yes due to the fact that while she isn't working with any Sep Holdout in the canon or Legends, she'd be around and would certainly fight against the Empire if they forced her into a battle (IE Inquisitors) so I'll probably bring her but paint her sabers yellow and clothing a different colours as she'd be in here "not Sith" phase.
I also want to bring some pirates and mercs who have been hired to bulk out the Holdout's military. I'm also playing with the idea of making a custom Gizor Dellso and using Poggle's profile for 'em.

In short, nothing I want to do is cheap which is a shame but it's going to be kino. I've built my Supers, Droidekas and most my B1s but still need to pick up the leaders and so on that I need.

Space Marine 2 is full of rhinos and it shows primaris using them so when are they gonna lift the transport restrictions? Tons of primaris squads would benefit from a 10 man transport that doesn't cost more than 200 points.

I boguht too many models from 2024 to now. In 2023 and 2022 I barely bought anything, the bare min. I indulged too much. It was cooler to just be like "having some plague marines to paint sure would be cool" but now I haven't bought a death guard cunny patrol or that stupid drone model they have because I already got most of their stuff. It was better to dream, to imagine, than to own. Once you own and paint and place them there what mode do you do? Play with neckbeards? I'm sorry to hear that anon. I don't wanna dump the entire list of anti depression stuff on you, but if you really just are in a rut all the normal stuff really does work. Your diet and shit affect your mood heavily, your exorcise level does, how regular your sleep schedule, staying hydrated, making sure you aren't consuming too much sugar and its fucking with your energy levels. All that stuff can help, but you gotta put the work in to get to the other side. Also seasonal depression.

If you are depressed because of something in your life, you have to address the route cause. Like if you are lonely, I'm sorry I'm lonely too. But the above stuff does help. idk, feel better homie.

You actually need help if it's that much. Like actual help, someone in your life to help you say no. If you have that much to spend you don't need to worry about the savings on bulk deals. I don't wanna be that person but seriously dude that isn't healthy or normal. It's okay, it's okay to be failable, it's okay to be different, but you need help managing that because clearly you aren't going to be able to by yourself or the people around you are enabling. If you have entire rooms of unopened boxes its literally just shit cluttering your life, and its probably a contributing factor in being depressed.

For that I'd have to ignore Kharn not realizing he killed Sister Commander Jenetia Krole, but that was an anticlimactic death that I didn't like, so I'll pretend Kharn did kill her on purpose, just wasn't all there himself because of the nails.

The appeal for 40k to me has always been Space Marines, and I enjoy how customizable you can make your lists with all the options the get.

Maybe orks, but even then they're nowhere near as customisable as they should be. Every non termi space marines having swappable arms and heads is such a nice building opportunity. You can even mix up CSM and SM bits, theyre that modular.

What horrible design on GW part. They should have made them a part of the side pieces themselves or even the little dangly chain decorations. I cannot be convinced that there isn’t a better way they could’ve done the spikes, even for a somewhat older model.

And yes, the spikes dug into the fresh knife cut on my finger during the multiple attempts to center them and preventing them from getting knocked off. Power from pain is a real concept when building drukhari.

Sisters are all daemon worshippers but don't realize it, and their power doesn't come from the Emperor.
Evidenced by the fact that in a WD that came after the Arks of Omen story where Khorne uses the Murder Curse to corrupt an entire crusade fleet, in the following WD the chaos corrupted traitor sisters were performing the same miracles as the loyalist ones.

An average imperial hive city contains anywhere from 10 billlion to 100 billions within it.
If we got with the 100 billion figure, just conscripting 1% of the population you'd still end up with an army of 1 billion humans.

Imperium is not at all running out of people, neither men or women.
Regardless you are, the Imperium will just throw you into a hell-ish battlefield to get chewed up by the meat grinder in the hopes that your corpse slows down the enemy a bit.

Hell, it'd make more sense and be MORE grimdark, if the Imperium intentionally drafts fuckloads people, both men and women even children, purely due to over population so they can literally kill them all off in a war so they don't take up resources, while they also take out an enemy of the Imperium. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
Imperium doesn't care about humanity, you should never forget that.

The corrupted sisters were able to perform acts that mimicked faith miracles because the chaos gods knew that would be scary to the faithful, so they manifested their power in those ways. The fact that faith abilities still work in areas cut off from the warp proves that faith abilities are not from deamons or the warp. Faith abilities do come from the Emperor and operate on different rules as warp sorcery. This has been established in other books as well as the 40k tabletop rpg rulebooks.

Judging by your picture made by an artist who draws warrior girls with delicious abs that beg to be licked.
I think you might like the wargameexclusive sisters in heresy female heads.
You’ll have to do some blender editing so get generic space marine stl head.
Remove the head but keep the bottom neck piece and resize the female head onto the neck piece.

This all hinges on whether the female heads will work as they are sized or not.
Here’s the space marine neck piece:

Those who want female space marine models but just whine for it vastly outnumber those who actually go make some so just acquiring stls makes one of those separate from the cattle.

Is it fan “canon” that autoguns/stubbers can use ammunition that makes their individual shots better than the lasgun and even hotshot lasguns?

From what I recall lasguns are used for the guard because the mag recharges on its own eliminating a lot of logistical issues and making the load of resupply less stressful than it already is.
>>
>>97588411
I'm not familiar with the artist, I just wanted a female Chaos SM pic to go with my post. Those heads are great tho, it's a shame they're sized for SoB. It's odd that they don't have size options, a lot of Etsy stores that do 3d prints like that offer regular infantry scale and Space Marine scale on their heads.

I might grab some anyway and see if the size difference isn't too bad. Thanks!

My Tau are 4th sphere vets. Black templars, basically. They are on a crusade and they are racists: that makes them black templars.
They think the Greater Good is the way, but it's only for those who are good. They "spent" their auxiliaries, and when the Empire punished them, they defected to the Enclaves. But the Enclaves were too tolerant for their tastes, so they broke off from them too. If Empire Tau are shaped by the doctrines of Shadowsun and Ethereals, and Enclaves by Farsight, these guys are by O'Kais.
So, Mont'Ka with Monat characteristics. Big Monat (lone rambo suit) culture where they aren't renegades, just a deliberate operator type.
Currently they're looking for minerals with which to grow their military, and they don't have a water caste: it's all Earth Wind and Fire :^)
>>
As an /m/fag I thought for sure I'd play Tau, but looking at their models they just look like boring western Battletech shit
>>
>>97588449
But why are they not happy with sisters of battle? Their genesis in a meta sense even was from being a female group of space marines, even if the lore has changed on that to be their own unique (and arguably cooler) thing. They're already getting top billing in most GW secondary media with a ton of extra books and animations compared to other factions.
>>
>>97588443
The Space Marine current runs through just about everything important in 40k (don't @ me about some unimportant xenos vs xenos shit).
So to the outsiders, interlopers and invaders who are demanding female marines, its not enough to raise SoB or whatever because they will never be as important as marines. There is nothing you can do for SoB that will placate these people.
>>
>>97588421
Back in 2e lasguns had AP-1 like bolters. In some novels Navy is said to prefer auto weapons due to less penetration, which is preferable when fighting inside pressurized vessels where a hole into space is not good. Lasguns are often described as blowing off limbs and fist sized chunks out of reinforced concrete. Now, auto and stub weapons can load different munitions for different targets, but las weapons can also have varied power settings, hot-shot power packs, blast chargers, etc.

Think the big difference is that many lasguns are described as semi-automatic while autoguns instead are described as having high rates of fire. If a laspistol is semi-auto and autopistol an Uzi, yet both have similar stats, it's arguable that a few shots from a laspistol equals a few bursts from an autopistol. Then again, some gaming systems make autoguns more powerful than lasguns. So go figure.

From what I have gathered it comes down to two main things (please note these are not my arguments)

1 is that space marines are the posterboys of the game and SoBs until very recently were barely even acknowledged. Having women in the faction is about making them equal. They think having women play prominent roles is important. For some of these, the recent shift towards SoBs playing a larger part within the imperium is enough for them to back down.

2 is from people who see the pushback towards female space marines and want to make ""chuds"" mad. They dont actually care about women or about any faction, they just want to see the people they assume are their political opponents get mad. These people will not ever back down because it takes them so little effort to get the reaction they want. Even if you try to engage them in discussion you will be called a misogynist, a chud, ect as the goal is to make their "opponents" mad.

I think femarine fans (porn addicts) want T4 S4 superhumans regardless. And femstodes fans (porn addicts) did succeed in getting S5 T5 gfs.
But to add to your thinking, I'd also have emphasis on SoB being the Ecclessiarchy's Private army. Literally a PMC with religious characteristics. Big funding, big faith.
They are literally the Papal Guard.
I mean Custodes are also the Papal Guard (with actual halberds), but SoB are the ones protecting pompous old farts who are as much mafioso as they are preachers. Most importantly, SoB protect Ecclessiarchy's assets and missions, which Custodes do not.
Custodes instead protect the actual God Emperor and further His True Will.

The lore exists to sell overpriced toys but unfortunately that means a lot of warhammer followers need daddy gw’s permission from conversions to even paintjobs.
Now it stems primarily from making things fit in the setting and I get that but what really matters is if the models makes one happy to assemble prime paint and play them.
Too many people care about tabletop performance in that department too which I think is unfortunate. It has led to ugly sterile L shaped terrain.
And they aren’t even stylized to look good most of the time just mdf boards set up.

I think it's brit authors being noguns and exaggerating stuff. Remember this is the same people who were saying bolters couldn't be wielded by mortals because recoil would probably tear the arm off its socket.
Lasguns are just a gun with more abundant ammo:
30 .556 bullets have about 50 kJ of energy and a solar panel gathers 6500 kJ daily. So, one solar panel can reload 130 lasgun magazines in a day.
Sure, that's on a sunny summer day, but it beats digging a hole a hundred meters deep searching for a stone you then have to extract metal ore out of, then work into bullet form.
Lasguns can increase RoF or concentrate the entire magazine power in just a few shots, but like regular autoguns it does needs the proper gear to do so.

Can anyone even cite where this is said? Only thing anywhere similar to this is in one of the FFG RPG books. And the same book says Astartes and non-Astartes bolters are mainly differentiated by their build quality and ergonomics. Not only has GW given humans bolters (as well as handheld heavy bolters, autocannons, etc.), but stuff like Munitorum Manual merely states they have a heavy recoil and might require some training to use properly without assistance.

>And femstodes fans (porn addicts) did succeed in getting S5 T5 gfs
From what I understand from rumors is that the only reason femstodes exist now is because GW had to fill in some kind of diversity quota for their Amazon show deal to add more women in prominent roles. They couldn't use SoB because Amazon didn't want an overly religious faction be the main female group to shill to normalfags and they didn't want SoS because they can't talk. GW was apparently smart enough to realize femarines would kill their franchise so they used Custodes since they aren't anywhere near as popular as Marines or featured in many stories but meet the requirements of "super human with power armor" to appease the Amazon corpo overlords.
Basically femstodes were a test to see how the fandom would react to something like this without needing to sacrifice their actual cashcow (Space Marines), and judging by how bad the reception was and how they had to confirm there are no female marines...It's pretty telling that after weeks of the new Custodes models dropping they edited the femstodes out of the trailer after everyone clowned on them. Either way, the Amazon show is in development hell at the moment with people not even knowing what the basic plot or timeline it takes place in. The only thing anyone is aware of is that Henry Cavill is in it and that's it.

>Tq

Just trying to survive. Both /mydude/ factions are isolated from heavy support on the galactic rim and facing tyranid invasions, awakening Necrons, and chaos warbands. So far they’ve been able to play for time, the imperials sacrificing planets in order to wipe out some splinter fleets and even managing a pyrrhic victory against the largest chaos warband. The tau are probably doing better in the long run, their biggest threat is the imperials so they’re busily subverting anyone they can and making incremental gains year after year. Either group could be wiped out by a big Waaagh or a proper black legion force though.

nta but I liked centurions when I first saw them in the WD back in (~2013?). They were ridiculous, but I like that they were "terminators 2" with their own honor/crux terminatus.
I never liked the dreadnought feet though

Because everything in 40k is ridiculous to varying degrees and marinesfags will buy anything.
>Everyone complained on the damage primaris did to the fluff. Yet it kept going.
Primaris were never going to fail because again. It's space marines. Space marines sell and making them look taller and nicer makes them sell more.
>Everyone ridiculed how stupidly wide Aggressor primaris were. Yet they fly now.
Space. Marines. SELL.
Custodes are not space marines and are never and will never be as popular as them. So, unless GW does something genuinely retarded that'll kill interest in space marines they will never die.
Custodes DO NOT MATTER. That's why they got stuck with femstodes and why femarines don't exist.

Anon who likes centurion here.

Aggressors have two big issues:
1) Being an Nth marine unit that's nothing revolutionary/interesting
2) Looking like ass

I like the gauntlet weapons, add that to the arsenal, that works. The little missile pod things are retarded.

The primaris range, especially the first wave(s) was clearly trying to reinvent/reboot the SM lineup in a very bland way, today they still feel like kiddy marines (so yes, extra kiddy)

>The beloved Necrons novel starring Trazyn the Infinite and Orikan the Diviner – The Infinite and the Divine by Robert Rath – is back like you’ve never seen it before, with a glorious illustrated and annotated edition. This epic tale of two Necrons holding a grudge over thousands of years is an incredible adventure with hair-raising fights, courtroom drama, and witty banter aplenty. Now cut with author insights and new illustrations, this edition offers a fresh take on the story even if you’ve read it a dozen times (like us).
How many editions of this book are there? It feels like GW has published it six times in the past three years. New artwork + annotations at least sounds cool.

Got a game in with the new votann detachment last night. First game I've gotten in since September.
Opponent was a fairly new CSM player playing veterans.
I tried my best not to power game against him and explain everything that was going on, but with all of the buffstacking votann has now I think I fried his brain a little bit.

Gonna post some notable moments, like our dedicated transport fight between this rhino and sagitaur (sagitaur lost due to interference from a venomcrawler)

I wonder if the warhammer BL books that are praised as good are genuinely good by book writing standards.
But I’ll be honest I think BL should have been a comic book publishing arm putting out Warhammer comics instead of novels.

I’ll also admit I haven’t read a chapter book in a while. I’ve read the legend of sigmar omnibus and it was alright but misspellings at the end left a sour taste in my mouth.
Are the short stories from those BL celebration books any good?

I enjoyed the bionicle chapter books a bit more than black library book i read and I can’t explain why beyond nostalgia.

I like their models and crunch. The pitch for them in fluff is also really fun, "swordsmen who try to impress invisible groupies with showboating."

The fluff presentation annoys me a bit, there's so much page space used to convey so very little meaningful information. That's a general complain about the EC codex. The word economy is awful, every point is tediously belabored from one section to the next, and the individual points are either poorly demonstrated by the text itself or simply not very substantial to begin with.
>>
>>97588819
Kriegers don't have PA either, yet they can use a heavy weapon all on their own.

Trust me, tried that and it’s not as easy as it sounds. The spikes are curved and if they aren’t “crescendoing” in the same direction it will look really weird. If you don’t hold them in place at least they may slide. There is also a very specific part to glue them to and it’s hard to see on the hull, which itself is curved. These spikes are super small too. Drukhari are tiny as fuck and so are their vehicles. Each spike is smaller than a finger nail clipping.
