The corrupted sisters were able to perform acts that mimicked faith miracles because the chaos gods knew that would be scary to the faithful, so they manifested their power in those ways. The fact that faith abilities still work in areas cut off from the warp proves that faith abilities are not from deamons or the warp. Faith abilities do come from the Emperor and operate on different rules as warp sorcery. This has been established in other books as well as the 40k tabletop rpg rulebooks.

So far they’ve been able to play for time, the imperials sacrificing planets in order to wipe out some splinter fleets and even managing a pyrrhic victory against the largest chaos warband. The tau are probably doing better in the long run, their biggest threat is the imperials so they’re busily subverting anyone they can and making incremental gains year after year. Either group could be wiped out by a big Waaagh or a proper black legion force though.

Got a game in with the new votann detachment last night. If you don’t hold them in place at least they may slide. There is also a very specific part to glue them to and it’s hard to see on the hull, which itself is curved. These spikes are super small too. Drukhari are tiny as fuck and so are their vehicles. Each spike is smaller than a finger nail clipping.
