The miniature sculpt quality is high enough that as long as you don't choose some completely unhinged colors just a basecoat+wash will already look pretty good.Also small brushes are a trap for a novice. They have little body to retain the moisture, so the paint dries faster. Until you're confident with judging when to reload your brush, stick to size 1. Good brushes also hold a fine point even at larger sizes, so they may be actually easier to use.As for stabilization - the trick is to never just freehand shit. Always have a point of stable contact, like putting your wrists on the table or connecting them together. There are plenty of tutorials on this.

How do the admech arc rifles work? Trying to apply real life science to 40k is usually foolish but the concepts I've seen for making lightning guns involve shooting a laser out first to ionize the air, then dumping a huge charge across it. Or does it fire out a big branching arc like most pop culture electricity?

Thought about starting a space wolf army but it’s too reliant on named fucking characters so I don’t give a fuck about them. Maybe if they had more bespoke generic options I could care, but I’d probably be more inclined if white scars got something.
