If your scheme is cool and bright already, you can go for a very intense blue. You want contrast but not discordance with the marine specialist armors.Think of your color scheme as looking something like this red circle, with it touching the edge of the wheel wherever your primary color is. If you're painting the scheme shown here, with kind of a lime green chief color, you can go as intense as you want there, and pretty intense with your reds and greens without running into ugliness, but as you get around to blue and purple you have to be very careful, because anything you paint with a blue outside that boundary will draw the eye instantly.
