>Cataphracti Terminator kit comes with 6 dudes>unit comes with 5 Seems like a pretty obvious opportunity to convert a character out of one. Can a Terminator character unlock vehicles? The detachment system is still a bit obtuse to me.
8th for Night Lords.
>>97627225a centurion unlocks 2 detachments because of Officer of the Linea consul unlocks 2 detachment because it's a command slot
>>97627225Anything that goes in a command slot grants access to at least one detachment of your choice - this includes things like command Rhino's. Depending on the detachment and type of vehicle you want you can take anywhere from one to eight vehicles for one command choice.
The classic Imperial vessel layout is what most of the Heresy-era ships probably looked like, with exceptions of course.. What would you want your flagship to be?
>>97627295>>97627239Looking at the rule book, if I’m reading this right, filling the High Command position gives you access to a Apex Detachment, and filling regular Command positions gives access to auxiliary detachments, seemingly two for each dude. Is there any issue sticking Command units in units in other detachments? Like I bring a Terminator Centurion to get the Shock Assault Detachment to bring Termies, and then he joins his buddies in their unit.
>>97627381Oberon class is also post-Heresy, being a variant of the Emperor class. Desolator class battleships and Vengeance class grand cruisers were around. Despoiler class as well (in a way) in the form of Terminus Est. Maybe some other ships as well, since many are described as old and obsolete or never given a clear indication they're post-Heresy production?>What would you want your flagship to be?/mydydes/ settle for a simple strike cruiser, enough to carry their company with support elements.
>>97626923I legit love this dude. He's like a big Armiger and I adore Armigers.
>>97627209LI/AT NEEDS plastic Armigers. Give me them JAMES! ffs
>>97627409Only centurions (or rather, the officer of the line rule, that centurions have) give you two auxiliary detachments. Regular command give you one detachment. You can attach characters to units like in previous editions, and there's no restriction between characters having to attach to units from the detachment they unlock. It only matters for force org slots.

I want to get into Heresy, but I'm undecided on the army. I'm thinking of either Iron Warriors or Loyalist Death Guard, because I really like the look of 30k vehicles and heavy weapons and these two feel like a good fit for that>Imperial Fistsdon't want to paint yellow>Iron Handswho?
>>97626923I mostly like them, but something's off about the heads. They're *too* knightly, like they literally just stuck medieval helmets on some mechs - all the other knight classes have heads that are clearly technological even where they're clearly aiming to evoke knightly helms. It makes them look uncomfortably like Warjacks. If they fix that issue, they'd be awesome. I'll wait for an STL to get made though, knights don't belong in 40K's model scale so I only use them at Epic/8mm and 15mm sizes.
>>97627205Oh I thought it was like a pile bunker and shoots straight out.
3rd and 4th edition epic really cooked with the scenarios and narrative play rules. Too bad they are the least compatible with Space Marine and Legions Imperialis
>>97627205I'm guessing it's less about the reach and more about acting as a piledriver. There seems to be a rocket engine at the back of the thing, so it's clearly designed for forceful thrusts. Get in close, line it up and ram it in.

>>97628857Meanwhile they keep putting kill teams in combat patrol boxes and they probably wonder why no one plays combat patrol despite the sales
>>97628854I do believe more people would use knights if they had twice as many games they could use them on
>>97628873Ah, but Kill Team isn't a real "game" - it's a development space for new units without disrupting the main codex releases. It's all still 40k sales
>>97628834Reminder that GW does not want your money
>>97628873Many couldn't play Killteam either with new release being FOMO hoarded by scalpers, and the funniest part is that scalper's price would still be cheaper than single releases by GW. /ktg/ pretty much dead because no one can fucking buy new products.

>>97629108And yet KT kits have more options and customisation than 40k ones...
>>97628834The idea is to make you buy another army to play the other game while they're also using it to track the performance of model sales by game. There's a few oddities from this shit policy though>Armies that allow for far more conversion liberties like Imperialis Militia, Renegade Crowns, and Venators don't exist in GW's two flagship games (even if meant encouraging buying more GW models)>Daemon Princes and Belakor are among the select few who directly advertise as being usable in AoS and 40k on their own boxes with swappable features, like desecrating your base with a Primaris lieutenant>Imperial Knights and Custodes needed a bit of mercy for 40k specifically, because they would have jack shit otherwise; the latter even still officially coasts on basic Contemptors from the 30k range as a codex unit>40k cult legions just kind of do things arbitrarily, even more so than an Age of Empires tech tree>>97628747Cerastus chassis going to 40k Legends would be hilarious since it would likely just cuck Chaos Knights
>>97626834
>>97629178wrong thread, my bad
quick question to run by y'all, can 40k's Inner Circle Companions be reasonably ran as a proxy for a Horusy Era Dark Angel unit? I got these little guys before really getting invested into HH stuff. I could return them I think, but it'd be nice if I could still use them for something.
>>97629187Definitely not. Also, here's a (You) award for such obvious bait!(You)
>>97629187No.
>>97629187You can cannibalize bits if you wanted to hang on to them. Or maybe hang onto them for 40k, since the Dark Angels are still secretly a Legion in 40k you can have your Heresy dudes be the direct predecessors of your 40k dudes.
>>97629187No.They're too tall, they have shartmaris helmets/backpacks/bracers/guns, and they're cringe.

Is this box good for a newfags? I already have one deimos rhino for the breachers and I suppose I would get a spartan for the termies, once I finish with this box ofc
>>97629350short answer: no
>>97627381>What would you want your flagship to be?There was a nice piece of fluff of Xana having fleets of automata battleships which is what I would probably do if I wanted to play BFHH so a carrier version of that that's big enough to carry 4-6 escorts. What I'm probably going to make first is a cruiser for my IH, one for my cybernetica legio and the Red Talon to run in epic armageddon.
>>97629187I have a better questionCould the Nephilim Jetfighter / Corvus Blackstar be reasonably converted into a Xiphon Interceptor proxy?
>>97629397>Xiphon Interceptor proxyAnon, it's like 20 pieces. Just recast the bloody thing and move on.
>>97629358why? are breachers bad? I know that the termies are scubtastic, but old kit is sold out at my place
>>97629397Depends on your definition of reasonably but I would just get the xyphon. It looks much better.
>>97629350If it's the only box you're getting, not really. Both breachers and the terminators kind of need a transport to really shine. The leviathan is nowhere near as bad as internet hyperbole makes them out to be, so if you like the models it's a decent value box.
>>97629443Just wait for the plastic release so you too can enjoy 300 premium plastic components instead of 20 gigacancerous chink resin parts!
>>97629445NTA but breachers are great. They're the only line unit marines have that can reliably blow up AV 14 tanks. Power maul cataphractii are a solid deterrent for keeping scoring units away from an objective after charging out their land raider.
>>97629445>>97629485DESU breachers are mehVet breachers though? Wew lads they are good.
>>97629474GW really needs to release plastic kits for the fire raptor and storm eagle already. Don't care about the parts count, I am not dealing with those long thin warped resin sheets.
>>97629495Nah dude breachers are an absolute terror for vehicles. Even if most of the unit is killed, as long as you have one or two breachers with lascutters left no vehicle is safe.
>>97629504Yeah....but vet breachers get 4 las cutters
>>97629187Not without a lot of conversion work to pass it off as artificer armor
>>97629311If these were the first ever "chaos titan" kits we get and we don't get the post-Beta Garmon Banelord in plastic I WILL RIOT
>>97629311Sabertooth had one of the two titans as one of the cards so it's not like they forgot about them.
>>97629521Which is massive overkill against most vehicles. Don't get me wrong, veteran breachers are great too, but unless you have to kill a super-heavy vehicle or spartan regularly they're a bit heavy on the point cost.
>>97629455that's fine, I was thinking about starting Heresy with that box and then expand with combat force box (or whatever combo box that comes out in the future), once I finish assembling and painting
>>97629561Granted i also use mine specifically to deal with things like Land raiders because ill either put them in a drill, or sling shot them in a rhino, also they are mean in melee becuase they are 2 wounds a peice and you just let the non las cutter guys soak up the hits while the las cutters just slice everything apart.
>>97629455Not that anon, but I had the “fantasy” of breachers hopping out of a Rhino when conceptualizing my list, so you’re saying that’s the more optimal way of playing them.
>>97629187Parts of them? Sure. But the general armor design is very clearly primaris in aesthetics which doesent really fit anything else in the game. The robes are also something that isnt really a thing in HH.
>>97629588Yes, it is. Mechanised infantry in general is very good this edition.

>>97629556Anon that was like 20 years ago lmfao

Still seeking;Anons, do you have a link to the Horus Heresy Black Books that I could download? I was thinking of reading the Horus Heresy series of Black Library books, but I've been told the Black Books are like, the real canon of the Heresy. Any help would be appreciated. ( I figured it made more sense asking here than in the Share Thread )
>>97629742>>97558136 is it still up? test
>>97629570Lascutters may be just a single attack, but I think they are more reliable than meltaguns, and also have more utility than them, being both melee and range, as well as being cheaper. Imagine a measly rhino disembarks a squad that can kill a land raider!Idk if I should replace the rest of the unit's bolters with a couple power weapons or something
>>97629813So again im speaking only for vet breachers but i just run them with 5 bolters, 4 las cutters and a fist on the SGT. They do work.
>>97629832I could believe that unit being viable. If they are antitank, I assume their Rhino's gun is anti infantry. Havoc launcher?
>bought garrius because it's a great model to make agnostic>realized I don't have any spare cataphractii arms for the conversion I wanted to doOops.>got some spare indomitus bits and a body to two>indomitus marines have fuck all customizationPoop.
Traitor RG: Bird emblem or just XIX for their livery?
>>97629870nah lol.I run a siege breaker in that unit as well. and what i do is just sling shot them to the closest LR or something i want dead, and if something like say a terminator unit walks outta it, i still run into them with it, because they are still WS5, 2w vets with a 5++ so they wont die that quickly and the las cutter and a siege breaker with a hammer will do some work. they wont kill Elite legion specific TEQs but they will tie them up and wreck their transport. But for the rhino, yes i always take havoc launchers.

>>97628834Yes. But the studios don't get credit for the sales of kits branded for games from other studios, so they don't care about that, and the counters of beans who want to assess the performance of model kit ranges in minute detail really, really want model kit ranges to be as separate as possible.Yes this is counterproductive, yes it encourages wasting manufacturing and warehousing producing duplicated products, yes it will cause market cannibalization within their own company, yes it devalues their products by making them less usable, and yes it relies on faulty and demonstrably untrue logic about consumer spending. It's super obvious but for whatever reason GW is currently treating keeping main and specialist studio games separate as being more important than selling that product.

>>97631566I like the fusion of 80s RT aesthetic and the heresy setting. Its a shame that by 2nd edition epic had if not abandoned the heresy had encompassed 40k as well and turned its focus to that. Luckily we're so fucking back Epic Battles in the Age of Heresy brosAlthough 2nd edition era Epic Renegades does give us far as I know the first mention of the daemon primarchs. It's all much of what you'd expect from Index Astartes until the present day. Fulgrim mentally manipulated by a slaanesh demon against his will, Magnus tolchoked by space wolves over psykana, Death Guard get stuck in the warp and go nurgle to escape the warp diseases which is interestingly consistent for an era when Chaos Squats were the ones creating techno-abominations instead of the dark mechanicum. The only outlier is Angron. No nails. He is instead of honourable if viciously brutal warrior and master tactician who joined horus under the premise of a "we the warriors must restore honour and vitality by the strength of our arms" military coup type deal and fell to khorne due to martial pride.

>>97630577This is nothing to do with capitalism. Profit motive and a hierarchical organizational structure mean that this behavior is harmful to the bottom line and to investors, but is also easily corrected via top down mandate. GW Frequently mention in investor reports that they struggle with logistics, but they blast themselves in the foot by doing things like making 2 different versions of night goblin spearmen, one of which is just worse than the other, which requires different packaging, takes up its own warehouse space and takes valuable time on machines to make. That's not behavior that is concerned with profit, that's maladaptive behavior based on faulty implementation of performance tracking, it's just incompetent. What is supposed to happen is the the capitalist, or the proxy of the investors (CEO) is supposed to notice problems like this and get them fixed. What's insane is that these problems are so bad that they are apparent to GWs customers, are easy to fix, but seem to be getting worse.

>>97632801Yes.
I’ve had a flash of inspiration, and would like a second opinion. How do you guys feel about Ultramarines with Averland Sunset trim? The idea in theory, is that post Calth mobilization of new Marines would leave less time to make sure their armor was ornamented correctly, so instead of proper gold trim they’re sent into battle with a warm yellow paint in line with 2nd edition trim.

>>97632814Reminder that originally trim denoted which company a squad belonged to, so there should be ultramarines with purple trim kicking around.
>>97633383The Ultramarines second company is legion sized.
>>97633383The trim denoting company seems to have been introduced with the Codex Astartes. Unless there’s some reference I’m missing, the Ultramarine Legion colors are primarily blue and gold with white for Sergeants and leadership. The Rogue Trader colors seem to have been canonized for the Heresy too, but that’s largely just adding stripes to beakies. My idea was to do warm yellow for the fake gold/retro call back to denote quick mobilization where proper ornamentation could not be followed, but also give them red weapons like some images show elite Ultramarines having (also a retro callback) in the same way they gave medals to soldiers before sending them to the meat grinder in WW2.

Bought a reaver. What Legio should I paint it as?Loyalist preferred.
Assist me. anons! I can't decide how to paint my LI and AT god engines. I'm currently debating whether I want to play Legio Tempestus and House Ærthegn because as I said here >>97631673 the Gothic Sector and all its accompanying lore is my favourite part of 40k and I'd love to have the forces that took part in the Manachean War. (I also want to get some of the Dark Mech Stalkers so if I did those I could paint them up like they're from Cyclothrathe!)But, Vengeful Spirit and Titandeath (despite both being very flawed) might be my favourite HH books. I fucking LOVE Legio Vulpa and House Devine and think their colours look fucking suck and would they'd probably look great on the table.Help me choose, anons.

>>97634773Saturnine armour suits are piloted using the black carapace interface, in addition to a neural interface link similar to those used in dreadnoughts and titans. The lore also mentions a rumour that cybertheurgic resonance is also required, but we never got exact details. Considering everybody that isn't a psychic blank has some level of connection to the Warp, it could just be that having a little above average psychic potential is beneficial - which would still be many levels below the psychic talent needed to become a librarian.

The points scaling of Titans in modern AT is the same as in Space Marine/Epic 2nd edition so the points cost for that Imperator at 2250 pt would be accurate (4 1/2 Warlords). >>97643284>dual pistols are hard to come by>the kits are 75 usd for 5Damn that’s a shame. I suppose I can load a squad of something up with special weapons to play pretend as a Destroyer Squad. Also it seems strange that Siege Terminators are Legends too, that seems like a very Heresy thing, almost as strange as Indomitus Terminators having Heresy rules at all.
>>97643312Hold on a minute, it seems like the war gear loadout got folded into the Despoiler squad. Still a pain cause you need ti convert a kit into one, but you can have a fitting troop option for Destroyer Squads.
>>97640922Thank you!>>97641994>>97643282God damn it.
>>97630148>>97629604Are you retarded? Genuine question, be honest
>>97640829kill team will add them eventually as it happened with a bunch of other minor factions
>>97640611Here's a fun tidbit. The Titan in that story is meant to be a Banelord, however according to NuLore/Retcons it cannot be as the first Banelord was created after the end of the Beta-Garmon campaign. So either the story takes place much later in the timeline compared to when it says it is set, or it's been Retconned and the Titan is merely Warp mutated generic Chaos Titan.
>>97643566That is actually kinda interesting. The timeline of the Heresy is fucked these days lol
>>97643566...a slaaneshi banelord? The khorne titan?
>>97643686I was mistaken about what kind of Titan is it. It's a Banelord lol>>97643566 is right
>>97643566>according to NuLore/Retcons it cannot be as the first Banelord was created after the end of the Beta-Garmon campaign.Easily the coolest moment in Titandeath tbhon. Book was great but that moment was something else haha
I found it :) Also the Hellstorm firing 3 large blast templates in rim contact with each at AP -2 is metal as fuck. Although if I understand barrage points correctly technically it would be hitting any models under the pie plate on a 3+ which is slightly less metal but still neat. >>97643843Speaking of Titandeath if I ever paint a loyalist warhound I'd choose Solaria as I love the mint green livery. As to if the anon asking about what to paint his titans should choose them it depends on how hot he finds of MENA women.
>>97643895I fucking love Solaria! If I wasn't playing Traitors they'd be my go-to Loyalist Legio

>>97644272>Eye of Terror
5 or 10 man for support squads?I have a 5 man squad of Missile Launchers and a 10 man squad of Autocannons. The 10man squad feels like it might be too many points for what it offers (3E).
>>97644272You could not pay me to play 10th>t.nidfag
>>97644521Yeah, you guys got pretty fucked, huh?Battleshock is such ass.
>>97644376The eye of terror exists in 30k
>>97644534battleshock's assSynapse is assShadow in the Warp is assPsychics assMy datasheet are assMy detachments are assAt least I have been mostly enjoying 3rd edition and TOW so it's not a total loss
>>97644622We had the Eye of Terror campaign over two decades ago.
>>97644690People currently playing 40k weren't alive yet at the time.
>>97644521Never forget what they took from you. I'll admit it, 9th edition word bearers is the most fun I'd had with the game in 10 years, especially before the gay ass patch that removed the synergy of being able to use any daemon strategem on any daemon unit, CSM or Chaos Daemon. Felt more word bearers than even 1st edition HH dark brethren...
>>97644726The 9th edition tyranid codex is unironically one of, if not the most flavorful codex GW has ever written across its 30 year history
>>97644690I hate that modern 40k is just "Hey remember all that shit that did really well? Yeah just keep repeating that dont bother making anything new."
>>97644272How can it be eye of terror when they destroyed that part of the setting?
>>97644794>Lets do it again, but worse! To be fair we can't really talk, HH is nothing but poorly executed nostalgia bait.
>>97644817Modern hh? nah i would say they are at least trying new theaters but the problem is the lore is lame and no one really cares.
>>97644817I find it....Pretty good when it's not talking about primarchs? That rules out all the novels of course.
>>97642377Yes unless you are talking about robots in which case they fit very well.
>>97644272I'd rather fellate a shotgun if my life went so wrong that I would willingly play 40k.
>>97644272After how they raped Apocalypse last time, I don't get the hype.
>>97644965>ass raped apocI get what they were trying to do with Apoc, and some of the things were OK, but i think they lost the plot and the point of Apoc games. They tried to make Apoc games something you could do in an afternoon, but failed to realize the entire point of why people like Apoc games is because they want to play big ass multi day Apoc games with all their cool toys.
I've finally decided the name of my Chaos Titan! I've even got a bit of /mydudes/ lore for-What?I've 4 more to name?!And the Knights?!Oh...
>>97645118Best thing about naming things is anything you can ever come up with will be better than what Black Library has done.Stupid names like Angron the angry, Angrath the angry-wrathful, Malok the bad guy (malo).
>>97645118what is the name
>>97645166Namegron
>>97645166Malefica Dominatus. It was a Reaver belonging to Legio Gryphonicus named Glory Dominatus that Vulpa brought low during the early days of the Beta-Garmon. Vulpa's tech-thralls repaired the machine, and the priests of Davon imbued it with daemonic life at the behest of, quite likely mad, Princeps DeSant, who now commands the deamonic God-Engine.
>>97645220>DavonI ALWAYS misspell Davin >:(
>>97645220>Cool name>Gryphonicus getting fucked up>Davin Priests remembered>Decent idea for an eeeeevil TitanI like it.
>>97645240Davon is the ladies
Rules for Madail when?
>>97645055but that doesn't require any changing of the rules. just use... big army...?The nu-apoc (and presumably this nu-nu-apoc) ruleset was for people who did want to play massive battles but didn't want to die of old age before the first turn was over.
>>97645348Plastic Ruinstorm Daemons when?
>>97645447Hopefully never, that's when you'll get gayass equipment restrictions
>>97645447Next Thursday.
>>97645354Yeah that was the problme with nu and nu nu apoc. There did need to be some rules for apoc though like the old school formation rules were really fucking cool and the massive fortresses you could buy were really fun. You also had to house rule things for example my group we would do a normal army pool, so like "Hey bring 5k or 6k points of an army, then we will have a 6k titan pool that is separate from the rest of the army and the titans cant target anything but other titans for the first 2 rounds."That was because other wise who ever went first basically wiped out the other sides army before they could even do shit.

>>97645475None of the good ones.

>>97645220>>97645161People trying to make /yourdudes/ is cringe af tbhon
>>97645714Better to play your own whatshisname than play some BL dude written by Abnett.
>>97645738Horus Heresy is, basically, a historical game with tons of lore. You're meant to study it, find something/someone you like and play that. 40k is the /yourdudes/ game, not 40k.
>>97645752Yeah, it's a historical where 99% of pages are lost and are meant to be inferred and filled by players. You're probably that autist that refuses to have WS and UM fight because "they never do that in any of the novels".
>>97645780Unironically, WS and UM wouldn't fight lmfao none of the traitor WS we know of ever interacted with the UM.
>>97645791That and the fact that the WS were literally out on the fucking edge of the galaxy doing what ever the fuck they wanted.
>>97645714>>97645752>>97645791>So creatively stunted he can't imagine anything outside of BL slopYikes.
>>97645800>M-muh dudes would totally do that!No they wouldn't. Respect the lore of GTFO.
>>97645752>40k is the /yourdudes/ game, not 40k.
>>97645220I like it anon, but Malefica Dominatus sounds rather dramatic and ott for a Reaver, perhaps make that you're Warlord?
>>97645808not Horus Heresy, don't be FOID/QUEER. You knew what I meant.
Idk if Melta should only work on vehicles. Like Dreads are armored ceramite'd or something?
>>97645805>Unless daddy GW publishes a story about it, it didn't happen!Guess the Imperial Army doesn't exist either.
>>97645830>Nigga never read Legion or any of the other novels featuring the IAJust admit you can't read.
>>97645799Then Ultramarines can't fight can't fight Emperor's Children, or Iron Warriors, or Death Guard, or Thousand Sons, or Sons of Horus, or any loyalist, or basically anyone.According to you, all World Eaters got the nails. Then Endryd Haar arrived, with an excuse on how his whole force didn't get the nails. You cannot think anything your BL masters don't allow you to.
>>97645856You're the kind of tit that uses Chaos Marines in 30k and cries "BUT THEY WERE LIKE THIS IN THE LAST 5 DAYS OF THE SIEGE OF TERRA! IT'S 100% LEGIT!!!" while fighting battles on Isstvan.
>>97645834Not that anon, I read Legion. I strongly discourage you from reading it. That "Imperial Army" looks NOTHING like what you'd expect Imperials to look like. They use crawler vehicles, got gravity pikes, don't actually ever use a Leman Russ. And nobody liked the other parts of that novel, especially the Cabal. As for all those other novels prominently featuring the IA...what are they? Not trying to be funny or anything, I really want to know. I heard the Raven Guard are assisted by a guy who's called a "caesar" because that's what Legates are called like in his world, and his force is used as bait on Narsis?I'd like to read more about Lucifer Blacks though.
>>97645881Nta but god I fucking hate people like that with every fiber of my being to the point that if we ever had purges like that one movie I know where I would visit first.
>>97645562Thank god it never happened then.
>>97645898NTA NTA but, the Raven Guard books feature the IA a decent amount, might be the only good fucking part of those disasters. A few short stories also feature them, one involving Malcador has the IA in it as main characters. It's called The Remains or something.
>>97645881>IN THE LAST 5 DAYS OF THE SIEGE OF TERRA!Try the first 5 days. Or book 2.Blood Angels didn't have Illiastus guns until the last 55 days of the war. And White Scars didn't, for some reason
>>97645898Nta either, that's just a single regiment. Other regiments use different, wondrous things, some of which were never seen before the crusade and would never be seen again which is a thing that I feel really encapsulates 30k as a whole.
>>97645933nta but I posted this and far more proof about Chaos Marines being usable in 30k a while back and was basically crucified lmfao Good luck if you pick up this cross!
>>97645935Not in any of the rulebooks or novels, so all of that isn't real.
>>97645933That's not even GC Night Lords tier
>>97645933>Blood Angels didn't have Illiastus guns until the last 55 days of the war. And Manus died in the opening salvos of the Heresy, but still gets to have rules for the whole thing.
>>97645675I like it when games have fun expansion packs.
>>97646010At least Magnus has the excuse of "The Warp did it"Ferrus got decapitated frame one of the HH yet still got rules and a model.
2 lascutters or gravgun+lascutter?
>>97646141Two lascutters.
>>97646010>And Manus died in the opening salvos of the HeresyVery much so. And Tarvitz dies even earlier on Istvaan 3. Should he be banned from being used against, say, Alpha Legion? I say let people have fun, write your own explanation if you want.Though when fighting loyalist vs loyalist, coming up with stuff is better than "it's a simulation" or "they were lied to buy AL"; those reasons are kind of too used up.

>>97645933>their armour had bones and blood and ashes on it with helmets amplifying their voice and some of them use whips>this means they threw out all the armour they have used for 200 years and used that one specific type they would use 10k years from now which isn't even used by all of the csm. This makes no sense. I think the first thing I would notice when seeing them if the latter were the case would be all the fucking trim and the arrows. It would read more like>our former brothers were glistening with golden accents so much that I had trouble identifying them as part of the 3rd legion. And the spikes, by the Emperor, the spikes... I think some of them accidentally poked each other bloody when engaging us in melee. They all had a symbol with 8 arrows somewhere on them.I doubt that in the time it took to corrupt the ECs they could have remade their armours to that degree while still fooling the loyalists into believing that nothing had changed and go down into isstvan 3.
