The only difference is that it doesn't have a one size fits all solution because the setting has a lot more problems than worm. Worm only has 2 problems, being a puppet of the big worms in the sky, and your shard running out of power. They have 2 separate solutions, Abbadon shard for the first and Negentropy perk or Perpetuance ST for the second. LOTM has a lot more problems as a setting, but for almost every one there is a talent that fixes it.
