There are a few set ups I've seen that let you handloop just off of pellina, which is cool and all,
but it requires doing some shenanigans like popping garsem with kuribolt or vermillion dragon mech to get to faultroll... its not as bad as It could be for youtube meme combos, but its rough.

If pellina gets hit by ash blossom, that's basically it. you won't have enough bodies to extend.

Which really sucks because bruno enables a bunch of cool stuff and you can actually use gottoms emergency call to bring bodies out on the opponents turn and quick synchro

The only decks on here that will preform differently in the TCG vs MD is Adamancipator, Onomat Ryzeal, and K9 VS (maybe soon) due to differences in banlist.
For K9 VS, it's a top deck right now so it might be a target on upcoming banlists so air on the side of caution that it might get hit soonish. The other two are kind of gutted of their endboard assuming ryzeal is the heavier part of your onomat ryzeal.
What I would recommend you do is use ygoprodeck (website) or ygoomega (local client and sim) to copy your existing decks into one of their deckbuilders and they will give you a price estimate. Note the estimates are sometimes a little off but it will give you an idea if you're spending $50 vs $500.
While you're on them you can also check the differences in the banlist so you can make adjustments.
Only deck I might not recommend is Shining sarc due to the power not matching the price tag. Wait for the 2026 megatin for maybe a sarc DMG reprint.

TLDR
If you want something good and cheap consider Swordsoul, Orcust (non sarc), Laby, Onomat (pure).
If you want something good but expensive and might get hit VS K9.
If you want to spend pennies just to try out paper Dinomorphia.
Anything not listed I would maybe skip for one reason or another.

I can't really speak for magnet warriors, maybe somebody else can give you some insight.
One thing I would recommend if you're getting into paper play is to set aside some money for:
Sleeves ($10x2)
A decent deck box($15‐25) or an ultrapro 100+ deckbox ($5) if you want the fuck-it-cheapest-option.
Playmat ($10+)
Optional playmat tube ($10), or use a thick rubberband for free.
So about $40 total.

I know I've posted this several times already but I feel like I'm so fucking close to making this work. Are there any new cards in TCG or archetypes that I can shift around that would help?
Gist is pretty much
>Get Dragon Buster Link 2 using Sacred Sarc or Magicians' Soul + Diabellstar
>Summon Dark Dragoon to prevent Nibiru plays (bait handtraps)
>Get a shit ton of draw power from Azamina Engine/Soul Servant/Magicians' Soul and skillfully draw into one of the Magistus cards. (if I haven't already)
>Go into Zoroa fusion and equip Dragon Buster.
Otherwise, get Zoroa synchro and play traditional Magistus with Dark Dragoon protection.
It's pretty resilient but a raigeki or even fucking blue eyes can get over the Zoroa which is whatever since I can revive with Selene but still facing BEWD decks is a bit of an uphill battle since I can't recycle dark dragoon (and even if I can he still needs to negate to get 4000) and Primite Engine fucks me sideways.

As soon as I posted this I literally answered my own question...Regulus Engine seems to work well with this. adds a second body, Zoroa can revive Regulus for the battle protection. Verre adds Verre Magic to bridge to Magistus plays by dropping Splenta which allows me to equip Link 1 and summon Aleister.

This is is probably the reason, you can ask anyone about dragonshield sleeves when it comes to japanese-sized ones, and most will tell you they're awful due to horrendous/non-existent quality control BUT that you also can't get better sleeves for the price (katanas and eclipses are $20 iirc).

So basically you have to put up with sometimes getting a pack that is damaged out of the box (some sleeves are either slashed or bent) or that might not be tournament legal (more commonly seen with white sleeves, each one will be a different shade of it, with some of them outright being "cream" colored).

Personally speaking i dropped the brand almost entirely, katana might be nearly thrice as expensive, but it also doesn't suffer from any issues, and even if you don't double sleeve (i do, with dragonshield outer sleeves because those are not affected by the company's usual lack of QC) they don't wear out as fast as dragonshield. A friend double sleeves by using inner + normal and his pack lasts him nearly a whole year, and that's despite him shuffling constantly and flicking his cards.

Problem with Worms is that their main play is pretty solid, it's just that the game evolved to be too fast for such a slow control deck. Worms also just lack any alternate way of winning past their Yagan/Xex/Meteorite grind.
Give them some kind of field spell with build-in protection and a way to cheat huge Worm Zero for a plan B. Or maybe scrap Worm Zero and give them a completely new boss monster.

I'll double sleeve sometimes but it's more out of obligation if a card is worth more than $90 in the deck so the rest have to follow suit.
A lot of people get it in their head that if a card is worth >$10 that they need to double sleeve but I think they're fooling themselves. Single sleeve is perfectly fine for 90% of play.
I'm literally about to sleeve up a kewl tune deck single sleeve, which isn't cheap to say the least. And I'm not concerned about it in the slightest.

Why?
If it's because of different color ED, you shouldn't be siding ED cards because that's likely not a very good side deck.
If it's because of de-siding, pro tip: just remember your side deck and reassemble it post game. You can also print out/write your side deck list on a sticky note (fold over the sticky part onto itself or cut it off), sleeve that in something that sticks out, and refer to it post game. If you can find all 15 cards in it then all your decks are good.

It's not as unplayable as it was before, but it feels incomplete, and i totally understand why. XX-gottoms sniping your entire hand, and then omega robbing you of your last card next turn would have been a real possibility had they made the support too good.

Still, the deck is too reliant on pellina. If she gets handtrapped you absolutely need emergency teleport in hand to extend. You always want to normal summon pellina even if you know she'll get handtrapped right away, as her body is simply too valuable (because she's a level 4 tuner, not because i find her hot you fucking morons, she's literally a leopard with tits).
The only other good normal summon the deck has is boggart... because it can special summon pellina from your hand. But again, if you can normal summon pellina, there's no reason to do anything but that.

It also doesn't run many other old names because they don't need them, which turns garsem into a garnet.

Lastly, there aren't many good level 6 synchros it can summon on the opponent's turn with bruno, it's just hyunlei (up to 3 backrow pops), barkion (trap negates), brionac (discard for a targeted bounce) and silvera (book of eclipse). If you're willing to run a small psychic package, you can also synchro serene psychic sorceress to get a bounce (if they get rid of her or you link her away with masquerena) and a quick play that will let you fuse a 4.9k monster with a summon negate built into it.

It's also an awful genesys deck for several reasons:
>e-tele and tenki both cost 35 fucking points each, and they're crucial to the deck
>there are ZERO good level 10 synchros besides chengying (baronne costs 80)
>despite being a lower powered format (it isn't), a single well place handtrap can ruin its day, not to mention all the tier 3 and above decks eat it alive

Even konami knew the deck was bad, so they shoved its cards in a product that would sell regardless.

Stick to sky striker and mitsurugi.

I wish there was an earth warrior counterpart to something like flame swordsrealm. some kind of way to stun effects when you summon so that the effect resolves.
chain blocking would also work, but that would require summoning something at the same time as Pelina, which, I mean you could do with Gottoms Second Call, but if your resolving gottoms second call your already in a good position.


I guess you aren't that hard locked to X Sabers, an engine summoning 3 bodies that can ladder through 7 into anything could go through gottoms to get saber combination, then ladder to either XX-gottoms or Souza to trigger combination, summon palina from the deck, and pop off there.

Needs more cooking I guess.

I'm also really annoyed that Wayne wasn't in the deck. Like he isn't a great fit, but its the only synchro X-saber they skipped and it still probably fits better then Cloud castle.

If they go after the old valuable cards (vidya promos, 1-of-a-kind prizes, etc), no one cares because not a single one is meta.
If they go after staples, no one cares either because most people aren't buying them right away (unless they attend YCS and/or are sweaties/tryhards), they wait for reprints, at which point their value crashes.
If they go after the boosters themselves, KONAMI just prints more.

And if they go after the overframes once they start importing them, KONAMI also already announced that they're printing those cards in standard rarities as well. Engage zero isn't worth it, the raigeki effect is win more and amatsu also negates a monster (phantom of yubel style), except it isn't a on-summon effect ie it has to be used right away, and it negates a wider pool of monsters.

The pure deck is ass but it does come with a full King's Sarcophagus package as well as Selene into Accesscode. Familiar Possessed Lyna and Familiar Possessed Dharc allowing them to bridge are hard carrying the potential use, and they're for bridging mainly.
Charmers could take off without that though. It just requires Konami to print some version to replace the Flip monsters because they are too old. There's sorta tge Channelers, but those are mono-attribute support with locks which innately conflicts.

Just spitballing something, give them all:

Lube and Lost are definitely a package deal imo, I wouldn't play one without the other. I don't think either those two or Superpoly are winmore cards and on the contrary I have won many games I really had no business winning off the back of Superpoly in particular but also Lost. If you do decide to run Superpoly, cutting the Sprind for either a Mudragon or Garura is the obvious choice, I'm not sure what exactly you could put in instead of Sprind if you don't play Superpoly. The extra looks very well-rounded as is. Another Mirrorjade might be the play if you want another Albaz fusion, or you could maybe play Dragostapelia, Secretarion or Mysterion. I would say Guardian Chimera is a good choice however you're not playing Branded in Red so I don't think you can reliably summon it.

I'd say to go for 1x Talents, add 3x Triple Tactics Thrust and 2x Infinite Impermanance, Thrust setting Imperm if going first and adding Engage or Triple Tactics Talents to hand if going second. While there are more expensive printings of Thrust, the ones that come from the Legendary Modern Decks are about 50 cents a copy. You can put the third Imperm in the side, but this is an alright ratio of things.

I'd echo >>97744792 about adding a Shizuku and a Hayate for two of the slots and for the third, use the Super Starslayer TY-PHON that comes with the Legendary Modern Decks I presume you picked up. It's very much a backup plan that will rarely come up, but when it does, it can turn some guaranteed losses into a win.

Side deck, Different Dimension Ground is seeing play as a 1 of that thrust can fetch if you know you are going first that can fuckup your opponent, and the last 3x Slots are your choice of Purulia, Nibiru, or Dark Ruler No More for commonly seen Sky Striker side deck cards.

I've been rewatching the Virtual World arc and despite a couple of flaws that could have been ironed out better its honestly a lot more enjoyable to watch then I remember it being. The Big 5 are actually way better duelists then I remember them being. See the issue is since this arc takes place in the middle of Battle City and is not in the manga people dont care about its existence but I lowkey kind of enjoy how the Big 5 duels. Its extremely flawed but I get what the writers were going with

There's no difference. Domain has casual builds but if someone plays anything that can kill you quick (most archetypes now) then it doesn't matter.
Also if you play these in domain with a group that has a brain then everyone will target you because they then know your gameplan is to take a long time and the counterplay is to rush you. Meaning you just end up on stun shit and thus the game blows.

Depends on what your friend is playing. If you want to have a good time then you'd be best off cutting out the Lockdown aspect of the decks you're playing (assuming lockdown = stun) and focusing more on the Control aspects.

If you're alright with Control/Beatdown, three decks that I can recommend off the top would be

based on how strong your opponent's decks are. If they're competent decks, go with DogmaRegenesis. If they're weak, go with Witchcrafter. Though they're all of considerably different levels of power, all of them have pretty good redundancy, baked-in protection, and strong control elements. Your buddy's gonna have to put in a little bit of elbow grease to dismantle your boards with these, but they can still be dismantled.

Preliminary list for X-Saber, if anyone cares.

The idea is that you normal summon pellina, tribute her for bruno and garsem, then do your synchro climbs with those two.
Without faultroll in hand (you have searchers for pellina and bruno, but not this guy, so you have to max it out and pray) the combo just ends with gottoms, beast and bruno, with a search in the end phase when garsem blows up (either boggart or faultroll).
With faultroll you get to add a level 10 synchro or masquerena to your board, with levilazebul being the best choice (targeted negate + steal). Not that you have many options, it's literally just these two (OCG gets baronne as an option).

In the opponent's turn bruno immediately synchros into souza, who triggers combination and summons pellina, who tributes herself for another bruno and darksoul. The level 6 of choice is silvera (book of eclipse), but i'm running a small psychic package here because it gives you a bounce and set up for next turn (3.9k beater with a summon negate) if you did manage to summon masquerena. If you don't like it, feel free to replace teleport fusion for a TTT or pot of prosperity, and the psychics for barkion (none of the naturia synchros are OPT/OPC, so in order to avoid a total backrow lock they need to droplet beast) and any other level 6/7 synchro or even accesscode.

There's no point in running more than one copy of the archetypal spells/traps (or any of the other spells/traps, for that matter), gottoms can fetch combination from the grave and this deck is awful at playing into a established board, so why would you run multiples of a card that already needs bodies to pop cards, or that generates resources BUT denies you of the one thing this deck is good at (OTK)?

The handtraps are up to you, but i would always run droplet because again, the deck sucks at going second. You can play dominus purge, but would you really buy a $20 card to play in a budget deck that tends to die to a single interruption?

Konami is notoriously shit at making a fun product to open and the root of the problem is the packs themselves. Packs are shit because of rarity spreads and you get only 1 card of any use per pack as bulk is REALLY bulk and unusable. This drags down any type of product they release because these are the main thing you're spending money on in the end.
The other problem is that the game doesn't use, or can use, any trinkets. Dice are useless, and literally unusable in official play, for 99% of decks. There's no kind of "damage dice" like an MTG life spindown or PTCG damage counters. The most we have is field center tokens which are great but are pretty scarce in release and doesn't satisfy.

They certainly aren't going to meaningfuly fix the issue anytime soon.

Most people aren't collecting yugioh because rarity is fucked and you're not even releasing any cool alt art or "collectable" products. no mega cards, no cool posters (ew but it is something haha), they do sometimes do a "meta kit" once in a while and that's nice but it's nothing on the level of pokemon's trainer toolkit which has literally 90% of the cards you need for a deck. Most archetypes are broken into two sets which means there's like no reason to buy booster boxes because you'll almost never have a playable deck from one-two boxes. It's just fucking retarded. I unironically think the meta is fine now and the greatest thing about yugioh is the meta and how there's a lot of depth and playable archetypes but Konami is doing fucking nothing with it. I know the biggest problem is cost of entry and even the level of entry (because learning the game is hard), but it feels like this company can do some shit way better than it's competition because of the complexity and it just doesn't. I think no cash prizes because of Takahashi definitely hurts the game but I actually respect that choice It does mean though there's no competitivefags playing this game seriously though...

On the topic of TCG product, the shit that annoys me the most is that Konami IS releasing really cool products and extras, but only in the OCG. Look at shit like the Branded complete file, or the Maliss box, hell they've already announced they're doing another box for Sky Striker with new overframes

Like it's too the point that if I feel like I want to open product for fun, I'd rather buy and import OCG product that I can't even read over buying the TCG's product.

Yes, buy Midterm Destruction, Battle City Finals, Duelists of Shadows, or Streets of Battle City and play without modifying the decks. At most, modify them with the guarantee cards in the box.

I don't feel the burnout yet, but i only ever boot up the game to do dailies so i can build petdecks, and sky striker tenpai has gotten me through all these shit metas for almost two years.

If your hand is paidra/genroku/chundra and 4 useless cards, you normal summon and hope for the best.
You can tell right away if your hand is shit, so no need to watch the opponent masturbate, you surrender on the spot.
Since the sky striker cards are just a glorified draw engine, you can safely surrender if droll resolves OR you don't draw into a tenpai name.
You don't run handtraps (at least i don't), so if you don't have enough boardbreakers you can surrender right away.
The combos aren't long (they're not exactly short either), but sometimes the opponent just gives up as soon as you duster/raigeki droplet their board.

I usually don't make it out of silver V-gold I unless i REALLY need the gems, but the deck has carried me to diamond I a lot of times without issues. I genuinely believe i'm cursed so making it to master is impossible, as it requires iirc 5 consecutive wins, but even if i optimize the shit out of my deck, my hand always ends up being at least 2 useless 1-ofs and 3 cards that just don't work on their own ie TTT.

Call it the Master Series and import the decks in sets of 2 or 3, pull in dollar decks from Master Duel's structure deck pool, generally capitalize on pre-Tearlaments Master Duel nostalgia by releasing everything from Heralds up to Labrynth/Runick. It's all URs unfortunately, both halves of the deck got taxed, and the generic draw/removal spells you want to run are all UR as well.
And it's STILL not complete, the deck is missing "the fallen and the virtuous" and "ecclesia and the black dragon", both of which are absolutely going to be UR. You also run one lubellion, but last year's campaign deck was branded, which gave me a copy for free.

Ultimate slayer and super polymerization are interchangeable, technically the later is better since it's a quick play ie discard fodder for vision, but slayer almost always forces an interaction, since it spins a monster and then bounces/negates/pops/draws another card unless the opponent answers to it.
The TTT's are non-standard, but there's nothing else i'd want to run in its place. IRL i would go for the aforementioned F&V package plus terraforming.

Is Dueling Guard a good binder brand? They have one with DMG's droopy puddly boobies on it.

If you want something along the lines of "activate a card from your deck", you want an effect duper that would copy the effects of a card when it's activated on the field. The only card that does that for Traps off the top of my head is Rafflesia, and that's only for Trap Hole traps.

For Continuous Spell/Traps, Field Spells, and Pendulum Monsters, you'd have something along the lines of "Place 1 <x> from your Deck face-up in your Spell & Trap Zone". This is exclusively used for Archetypal tech as of now (DM/BEWD, Voiceless Voice, Branded, Charmers, Galaxy-Eyes if you could believe it, etc). More commonly you'll see effects that let you Set the cards from your deck and activate them the turn that they're Set, but that's pretty much limited to Archetypal cards (and Continuous Trap Monsters).

Just looked at the price and it's almost double the price of a similar but plain binder from well known companies. Since you're coming back after some time. Most of them are what's called "handtraps" now which are usually monsters that are discarded in response to something happening or in open gamestates. Stuff like mirror force and other actual traps isn't really played anymore due to a shift in philosophy of how the game plays as well as player mentality.

I'm an oldfag with some shitty rp decks and I want to make sure I'm understanding shit correctly. I'm running Ra. So, summon Ra's Disciple, fetch and special summon the other two copies. Play Ancient Chant to fetch Ra, banish Chant for the on-summon effect, use the extra tribute summon the spell grants to tribute all three Disciples for Ra. He enters as a 3300/2400. I can still use Ra's ability when he enters and pay all my LP -100 to pump him up to 11200/10300 since the spell sets his original atk/def and his ability says gains. Is that right or am I retarded?

Between Mitsurugi and Sky Striker, which should I learn from the Legendary Modern Decks once I get it? I can't remember both.
Also, can I learn them using Master Duel instead?

Sky Striker is braindead simple, and Mitsurugi as a deck vs Mitsurugi as an engine are two different things. So it depends. I'd learn Striker as a deck and Mitsu as an engine. Though Mitsu as a deck is surprisingly sovlfvl, lots of stuff that they don't get to use because it doesn't contribute to their splashable engine.

Correct. ?/? becomes 0/0 when on field until it is overwritten. Chant will overwrite the base stats, the ?/? aka 0/0, as it says and then if you decide to pay the LP for Ra it increases on top of those base stats.

If there is one takeaway, it's that they don't really do many, if any, "setting non-original stats" effects anymore like Limiter Removal due to the nonsense it causes so it's just stat boosts and setting original stats to keep shit simpler.

Anyone have a decklist for a Winged Dragon of Ra deck at the same rough power level and card amount as the precon Egyptian God decks?
I like turning TCGs into fixed sets for board game and my MtG Jumpstart cube was a big success, so I'm currently grabbing some YGO precons and noticed that one of the God Cards was missing a deck.
I have both of the Egyptian Gods, Blue Eyes White Destiny, Chronicles Fallen & Virtuous and Legendary Modern 2026.
If anyone has a Millennium Exodia deck at precon power levels, then that'd also be cool. All other decks will be looked at, but not necessarily built. Any recommendations for other precons will also be considered, as long as I can find them in stock at a reasonable price.

I think I can throw together a Ra deck for you to chew on that meets the powerlevel of the other 2 tomorrow but the E. god decks are MISERABLY bad. No joke they are among some of the worst SDs that have ever been made. If you like the super low powered, that's fine. Its one thing to be lower power, it's another thing to be as bad as they are.
I would say they are huge flavor fails if you want to anime LARP too. Why do the decks contain stuff you'd expect to see in a Ra deck? Why did they not put all the poker knights support in the slifer deck, that's literally made for it?
Just baffling overall.
I might throw you one for each of them that takes some bones from the existing decks so they don't feel like a major waste of money. What would your budget be, about $25usd each? Not counting the SD MSRP.

Thanks for your offers, anon. I'm happy for any deck list you throw my way and my max budget would be around $40USD per deck (TCGplayer hasn't shipped to Australia for a few years and if YGO is anything like MtG then buying singles is more expensive for no good reason). The decks are purely for playing against what I've already bought and any future deck I like the look of, because following the meta and entering tournaments has never been for me.

Fuck. That's my fault for not looking before buying. I figured that after doing research for the C:F&V, BEWD and Legendary Modern 2026 decks, that Egyptian Gods would be a safe and fun choice. More fool me.

Mitsurugi is the better deck, but it's on a timer, OCG limited prayers and TCG limited habakiri, once TCG gets "end of the world ruler" and "cyberse contract witch" they'll let it off the hook for another 3-4 months and then limit both cards across all formats. TCG tends to be a nigger about """regulating""" formerly expensive meta engines however, so i can totally see them banning habakiri.

It seems to be a dumping ground for newer tier 2-3 decks that would be bulk otherwise. That's the only explanation for why Erebus, a handrip cards that should be 100 points, isn't pointed.
I find Genesys is so disappointing. It should've been the place to play your petdeck, but sadly not. How foolish to think that KoA would ever allow you.to play your old cards and not buy their shit products.

Spirit dragon kills the thing it tags into, its tag is not considered a synchro summon and it only tags into light dragons. The stuff crimson dragon can tag into is much more degenerate than the stuff spirit tags into. Ideally you get two spirits on board, have one spirit tag into ultimate and have the second tag into crimson, crimson target ultimate, tag into sifr and now sifr protects the ultimate from spirit's pop.
