They’re still far from the rest of the T’au empire so they can’t replace the Gue’vesa. Instead they make concessions to make their human helpers more comfortable. Things like letting them write prayers on armour and mounting skulls or other heraldry in places. They’ve also gone into worshipping the Tau’va goddess themselves to a degree that will likely get them all purged or re-educated if they ever reconnect with the main empire.
