In the end, it was about who's auctor was the strongest resulting in more arguments and discussion about them than the player builds. When player builds were discussed, it was still based on the auctors. I say this as someone who enjoyed Magi Case. It doesn't deserve hate but it's not something I would play without anon.

They are even more busted now that you can upgrade you race at the start because you get +150 to all but luck, but the opportunity cost of picking them is pretty high. Stocks are the most valuable thing in the cyoa, as everything else can be gotten later, even races, and being a vampire means you have a lot less of them and way less variety, unless you spend your Auric to get a normal family tree, at that point you have even less, and variety is still bad. If all you want are stats then they are really good, but stats aren't that good in the long run, 150 in any stat is going to be useless once you get to the 1000 range.And all this is only if you are in the year 0 scenario because you have the good stats without the weakness of vapires, 1st gen vampires don't get the weakness perk, so you don't have to fear the sun, but in any other scenario they are just not worth it.

The human exp bonus gains 5% over double the first time, from 10 to 25, and 15% the second time, from 25 to 65. The vampire one gains 25%, from 60 to 150. Also every 2 rank ups the perk gets bonus effects too, for humans it's skill learning. So the final stats from the vampire perk would be a lot more than 1920, it would be close to 6000, maybe 8000. But even spending all your aurics on stocks you only get up to purple, which would be like 1000 something.

You need to keep them staggered. 2 perks of the same rarity fuse and upgrade, but 2 of the same perk at different rarities don't. If you fuse all your perks they stop growing at Red rarity, about a 10000% boost, but if you keep them staggered, keeping a lower rarity version to upgrade it later you can have more than 1 of those 10000% perks. It's less immediate gain but more future gain.

In the world you are supposed to complete special quests for them, they are not available to normal people. No matter how many class tokens you have you still need to buy the class with Aurics, which means that Year 0 is actually the only scenario where you can have 2 of them. Speaking of bloodline classes, I find it very strange that there is no class for the Abyssal side when you have both demons and angels. Bloodline classes aren't really worth it compared to what you could buy with those Aurics, but they are a cool thing to try and get later.
