>>97957463unless you intend to use them to sit on an objective always max out gaunt squads before getting another squad. combat resolution is a bitch and will wipe smaller gaunt squads fast. bigger squads have better combat res and both win combats better as well as resist lost combats better, there may be a sweet spot of squad size to avoid being unwieldy but i personally never tried to find it. maximize or minimize your gaunts, dont halfway with gaunts.

Which edition is better to get into, 3rd or 4th? I found 10th to be boring and I don't see 11th being any better.
