Regarding the pre-painted terrain, if one of the barriers to terrain sales is the fact terrain is expensive for what you use it for, then isn't pre-painted terrain going to be more expensive? Sure, it's 'painted', but painting terrain is not the big barrier. The barrier is that people see it as a waste of money since it doesn't 'do' anything and doesn't have the same appeal as a figure or army unit
