>>98342144>Now that everyone agrees the hybrid mana change would save EDH,fucking lolwhat a faggot lie that is.hybrid mana is fine as it is. deal with it, fucking scrub.
>>98342174Yawn. 0/8You're not even trying with that b8.
>>98342144I would sooner get rid of abilities being a part of color identity even though that would make me rework at least one of my decks.

>>98342144>TQwhat do i want to see?boom, instant cedh staple
Is this thread strictly for edh commander or can we also discuss canlander, cali commander, oathbreaker and similar formats?
>>98342221>Sorcery with 1/1 statlineWeird this was how they decided to make creatures that die to Spell Pierce
>>98342225We don't even discuss EDH here we just have the same retarded arguments every day with the same people that don't change their mind and after it's all done both of them just start spouting "I accept your concession."
>>98342144>Missed the hybrid mana episode because I spent the day at church like a square
>>98342225With the baseline low odds that you receive a cogent and useful answer to your question, your best bet is going to be the default Commander ruleset as that's what people actually play. You might get a response, this thread's less bitchy about contents than most of the other magic generals, but even someone willing to engage with you in earnest needs familiarity with your niche format.
>>98342270Dope thanks. I play custom banlist bracket 2 canlander but we allow a signature spell and hybrid mana. It works really well for our pod but we only get to play every couple of months.
>>98342144I was waiting all last thread to post this.
>>98342280It 100% would be an auto-include in storm decks if it wasn't green. It's 0 mana cast a spell, draw a card, fix two mana.
>>98342315Yes I'm sure Manamorphose will be what pushes it over the edge and this is a hypothesis you tested instead of just inventing a scenario your head.
>>98342225Discuss whatever you want but make sure to attract attention to the post with bait questions/images to get engagement. Here I'll give you an example:(Legitimately question:) Is Thalia a good hatebear commander, (Bait responses:) or is she too busy being frog poop to be good?
>>98342325I neber said anythimg abput power level, I said it would be an autoinclude, but like the card you posted already is, but better because it costs no life and mana fixes.
>>98342382She's so beautiful, brothers, why did it have to end like this...
>mfw pod wants to try bracket 4-5 decks and I just want to keep playing my bracket 3 equipment deck or my bracket 2 angel deck
>>98342408>two friends in the pod proxied up b4+ cEDH sloppiles that tutor out infinites to win by turn 4>me and my friend are still playing our <$100 decks we built like 8 years ago >"what's the point in playing Magic if you're not going to use the most powerful cards to win every time????????"sigh...
>>98342209https://moxfield.com/decks/t1mfAXBiZXecym-QEqLgBQI don't have it put together yet
>>98342432I hate how this doesn't have red so *so* much. Chaining extra combats to pull off Scute Swarm shenanigans sounds so much fun. I know blue is the "chain extra turns" color but I've never liked that idea
Definitely putting hybrid green/red cars into a grixis deck. But I don’t think there’s any land tutors so it’s still somewhat useless
https://archidekt.com/decks/24298032/parnesse_en_bergmanaged to win with this deck, pretty funny. >landfall deck durdles for 10 minutes and drops craterhoof + scute swarm>cast tainted strike and backlash and kill him with craterhoof>have an extra copy of tainted strike and backlash, kill 2nd guy, give a pair to an opponent>he pays 20 life to target my commander (harmonic prodigy)>cast slip out the back >he scoops
>>98342221This would be a stupid card and over powered
>>98342469>he won with a 2000 dollar deckHaha so funny
>>98342483don't be so upset that I trashed my prerelease with a prerelease vivi and a foil vivi, and I have a surge foil of my favorite FF guys here.
>>98342382>Is Thalia a good hatebear commanderNo. You want your hatebear commander to be a wincon not usually a hatebear itself. Winota, Ellivere, Jetmir, Tayam, etc. etc. Thalia can annoy people but she can't really end the game the way a good hatebear commander can.
Is Tayam the neatest WBG commander imo

I love my Drafna-One Ring deck!!
>>98342542play PEDH they agree and games are too fast
commander day was dead at the main LGS I go to in my town. there was one table of a pod there already playing and people waiting to play rift bound. no randoms for commander at all. left after an hour. what gives
>>98342408Many such cases. Only takes 1 faggot with too much money and not enough social decency to turn the pod into an arms race.

>>98342660pizza pizza
>>98342660so many creatures and not 1 wrath of god. and any deck without green and with white that doesnt play land tax (now a 12 dollar card with all the reprints) is severely short selling itself
just play all the staples in every deck

There is no such thing as an interesting mono colored commander deck
>>98342237that's /tg/ for at least a decade
>>98342706I don't want boardwipes on this deck, I need my creatures to inflict damage with caesar, that's why I instead run a lot of protection.Land tax is 19 bucks according to SCG, maybe I'll buy in in the future, what else would you recommend for the deck?>Here's the deck https://moxfield.com/decks/_dwafxT2KEWbSdUnaOQ_sg
Landfall is really the worst mechanic ever conceived for MTG as far as how badly its warped the game is concerned

>bro invites me over to build edh decks from our draft chaff>choose toluz because I never built esper>go with a clones+flyers theme>friend goes with 5cmc izzet spellslinger commander that makes a lot of tokens and draws cards>test decks>lose first game, win the other two games with removal and card advantage while beating him down with my fat flyers>bro goes on an one hour long rant about how bad removal feels
>>98342961those pants are way too ugly for a hooker, they have standards
>>98342961And that's a good thing
>>98342980Yeah, if I hear the counter spell crash out one more fucking time I think I'm going to lose it. It was bad enough in duel formats but in Commander it's just stupid how whiny people get about it being a casual format and removal an unfun thing to use.
>>98343048>he thinks I ran counter spellsI reckless spite'd his and my commander, then returned two more single jank target removals to my hand, which tilted him.
>>98342280this goes in every deck just for free thinning and if lutri had to go for unfair advantage, this should too
>>98342863princess yue is funny
>>98343074? you cannot reckless spite Toluz
>>98343161GIVE ME LIBERTYGIVE ME FIRE
>>98343486That's because Street Wraith is an old expensive card nobody knows about and most people that do can't afford it. Manamorphose is recent so everyone has access to it.
>>98343486costs 2 life =/= not freeeven gitaxian probe doesn't gain you the 2 life spent on it. unlike manamorphose which fully refunds itself
>>98343161Do you run Mishra's Bauble and Urza's Bauble in every deck?
>>98343599We agree!
>>98343599>costs 2 life =/= not freelol this is how I know you're new to the game
>>98343599bait
>>98343161Isn't this like reverse thinning the though? With fetches your getting two land drops out of your deck for one draw, decreasing the chance you draw a dead land drop. With stuff like bauble and bad cyclers your reducing your good draws and increasing the chance you draw into a dead land drop.
>>98343472my bad, it was cleansing nova on game 3. reckless spite was game 2 on two of his guys. he was playing pic related.
>>98343848Huh. So does his last part just win the game with infinite mana and literally any X spell? Granted, yes, I fully understand you better be winning with infinite mana in the first place
speaking of which, what's the general consensus on board wipes, especially in low power brackets?personally, I like them almost too much, but my friend complains that low power games take too long to recover from them.
>>98343884You better be running a few. This is a great budget one for people running lots of indestructible creatures/commanders
>>98342909theres a brand new printing of it from Secrets of Strixhaven Commander that can usually be had for under $14 shipped. Also Battlebond is saying it's $12 on there, one is on there now for like $12.32 shipped. I bought a 4th edition one with the classic goofy pimp art for $17 2 weeks ago. I would also put in Archeomancer's Map to help with lands. I would put in Darksteel Mutation for ultimate locking up of enemy commanders. You also look light on the artifact/enchantment removal. Disenchant is the instant classic to destroy or Revoke Existence at sorcery speed to exile but if you like a lot of creatures I know theres white creatures to destroy target enchantment when entering I just don't know their names off the top of my head. white also has problems drawing but red can get wheel effects if you ever running out of steam. If you like creature based do Magus of the Wheel ($1.50). For Caesar on-theme consider Wheel of Misfortune ($7-9). Reforge the Soul ($5) is another good option. Of course the OG Wheel of Fortune is a $3 proxy from Bootleg Mage but if for some reason the people you play with dont like that kind of thing nor do you think you could get away with convincing them its a real $300 card you bought, I'd go with the cheaper options
>>98343888yeah if I seent that running my mono green Toski deck I'd be LIVID. but thats a good card for sure.
>>98343074why destroy when you can exile for the exact same cost?
>>98343873I would play him a pure token + ETB groupslug commander, with every X token spell I could find
>>98343915You nerds bringing up these fantastic old cards like this is the reason I keep coming back to these threads
>>98343900I'm actually surprised there's so many budget options. But yeah I put Spectacular Pileup in every deck with white I have, it's just way too good for being like 25cents
>>98343915we met in person and build the decks from our draft chaff. he said he wanted the real commander experience. it was really fun, for me at least.>>98343888I usually run 3, but sometimes up to 6, as one-sided as possible. when I'm feeling cute and run one that lets everyone keep a creature. so what do with the friend who doesn't like them? I can't keep punching him this hard, he refuses to learn from it.
>>98343884wrath of god is a must include in all white decks and Farewell (along with Tithe) are the auto includes for white dominant b3+Larry Niven's Disk is an underrated wipe for green to utilize, I also use whirlwind in green. Every other color has something good. Evacuation for blue is a "fair" alternative to cyc rift
>>98343933I run shadow spear in a lot of stuff (cheapest version being Donnie's Bo TMNT version for that effect)
>>98343933drill my beloved
>>98343946I used nevinyrral's disk in my inspirit indestructible lockdown set, shit was cash
>>98343955Oh my god if you can handle the SHIT art it's such a fucking bargain. I didn't know it got a reprint, only knew it as the most expensive card for this ability
>>98343946>Larry Niven's Disk is an underrated wipe for green to utilize"Underrated" is a neat way to say "one of the only goddamned options". Still insane that black got enchantment removal before green got unconditional boardwipes
>>98343926cant thank me, I saw that card on here like 2 weeks ago from a REAL old OG
>>98343977yeah I know I will be kicking myself for not ordering more copies of it for basically half price. Love the Tomb Raider art though ordered a couple proxies of it from Bootleg Mage (I think I actually ordered them direct from Usea from china ) I try to have real copies on hand though in case I play against rando's who are real picky but yeah the TMNT art is not great ha
>>98343983I also saw someone post Withering Wisps as a second/backup Pestilence, which is a fantastic idea for monoblack/deck with Snow Swamps
>>98343982I never seen anyone playing it these days. barely ever see black running damnation. I know it's 18-20 bucks but its well worth it.
>>98344004oh thats very interesting. I picked up a very heavily played pestilence for a few cents recently and have been thinking of how best to use it
>>98344013I dunno how much Enrage stuff is in black but I've got a red/green deck and Pyrohemia goes fucking insane in it

>>98342423>Friend and I decide to build low power meme decks because everyone else in the pod aren't great deck builders, or pilots and are more interested in having fun and trying to do the thing>So I build a bracket 2, and he builds a bracket 2>we play them with the group, neither of us win but we both had fun>next week>he went and upgraded his bracket 2 to a 4 because "it just feels like I can't do well without all of blues free counterspells and infinites."

I never understood why the secret lairs of basic lands didn't give you enough to actually play with. Come one how many pennies would it have cost to give me 5 of each basic instead of 1?
>>98344385>sorcery speed>have to guess what will be the threat, might not be coming at you anyway, doesn't give someone else at the table the opportunity to answer it before you have to>instant speed>save it for the last moment, can play in response to protection or other effects to fizzle them, can wait until the opponent is tapped out, can play something else like a draw spell if you end up not needing to use the mana you held up, forces the opponents to play around whatever you may or may not have, can force opponent to use mana during their turn if they do have a response
Anyone going for that charity secret lair? The Lathril and Dark Rit look pretty slick
>>98344563no since I dont plan to play lathril and the lair is obviously designed around her
>>98344563Probably for finale of devastation, though I should probably skip it because fuck them for only making the charity boxes print to demand.
>>98344563The "muh vagine" one? No I'll pass.

>>98344606oh, I guess you are expecting to flip them. nvm. Are garfield collectors still a thing?
>>98343884The longer I've played the more I started to move away from board wipes. In lower powered and higher tables. They just doesn't often feel worth it.
>>98344563Probably not. I don't particularly care for the art on most of them. But the Finale Of Devastation does almost make it worth it.
>>98344416Fuck. The new arts for these don't usually go for that much do they? The only thing I wanted from that was the new art for Six.
>>98343884I stopped running anything but one sided board wipes, progressing my board is priority.
>>98344782The ones from my last box paid for most of the box
>>98343884I only run the ones that leave bodies behind, I found by invitation to be a really dope one

>>98342209This might have been the worst deck I've ever built
>>98342209My first EDH deck, and it's so old it can drive.
>>98344985oh nice you still post herelooks like you made some changes, more alt arts?
>>98343486Fuck I should have used this card's stats in my image.
>>98343650too slow replacing themselves>>98343759both banned thankfully
For how much larp there is about Manamorphose I never actually see it
>>98344507couldn't pay me to sell that
>>98345076Well the hybrid change didn't go through first off, second off people suck at building decks in general.
>>98345076it's an upgrade to almost any deck but it's a very boring, tiny upgrade that also costs $5 and did I mention it's boring?besides, most commander players are trying to squeeze extra spells into their 99, not trying to reduce their deck size by 1.
>>98345076Because storm itself is dogshit despite how much retards LARP about it being one card away from ruining the format.>Yes, I would like to cast Grapeshot with storm count 120 please. This is clearly the best thing I could have done with infinite mana and infinite card recycling.
I opened my first ever display box today!Surprisingly actually went even on the price.
>>98345123Most of the decks it would actually be a meaningful upgrade in don't contain green. That's the entire problem with the card.
grabbed this in foil from the $1 box at the LGS on a whim. might it be worth playing in Kraven the Hunter? the deck has a lot of instants that cost {1}{G} and {1}{B} that the dudes can help cast using their Firebending. so it's kinda like a weird ramp engine that also applies pressure...
>>98345158Do they contain blue?
>>98345169Probably. Just getting 2/2s stapled to your instants alone is probably worth 2B.I'm considering it for Y'shtola for the same reason (board presence); getting a bunch of instants out on combat is also pretty nice.
>>98345169>im going to put fire nation occupation inmy kraven the hunter deck im late to the part but fuck ub
>>98345010Slowly making changes. I'm also making an alternative version of it that an anon gave me suggestions on that's much leaner, but not the exact theme that the deck originally was.
>>98345261Daring today aren't we. Can't have your broccoli touch your fucking potatoes can we?Who the fuck do you think Kraven is?
>>98345173No no NO stop pointing out how rarely you see Git Probe! The narrative MUST be maintained! I can't see the broccoli in the fire deck!
>>98345270>Who the fuck do you think Kraven is?some super hero slopyeah and fuck broccoli and potatoes I wouldnt want either of them in my MAGIC the gather game either they belong just as well as the others.
>>98343884I've never had one when I needed it. I've never wanted to use one when I had it. I've won maybe once or twice by coming back from behind by using a board wipe and cleaning the slate. Unless it's asymmetrical I just don't find it worth it to include them, I'd rather include 1-3 target removal.
>>98345169Oh, that's a good call there anon. I've got a good amount of instants in my Silverquill list and this would do well to give me bodies to sacrifice into his Casualty effect.
>>98342209New player here, tried to build a Boros combat/kinda voltron-y deck, intended is Bracket 3 Some sites read it as Bracket 4 though so idk if I should swap some cards out so I'm not That Guy at my friend's tablehttps://archidekt.com/decks/24330217
Why is pile shuffling not allowed? I don't understand how people riffle shuffle these fucking huge EDH decks
>>98342209Finally done upgrading Killian!
>>98345400Who said it wasn't?
>>98345410Someone told me it was like mana weaving and I couldn't do it
>>98345415LOL, pile shuffling before a game is not the same as unsticking your cards while you're searching.
>>98345400It doesn't matter how you shuffle. Pileshuffle, mana weave, etc, as long as you shuffle to randomization. So I hope you riffle shuffle 12 times, otherwise you are a cheating fagboi
>>98345425Do not mix up mana weaving with acceptable shuffling methods. Randomizing your cards to sufficient entropy can be achieved in a number of ways; mana weaving is intentionally altering the distribution and order of your cards.Do not do that. As a rule of thumb if you have to "shuffle" your cards face up, it's not shuffling; it's deck manipulation.
>>98345400I still cant riffle shuffle but with the sleeves make sure youre "mash shuffling" the cards from the side. I hadn't played paper magic in a very long time and when I did I only briefly used sleeves near the end of my original run but when I got back to it and tried shuffling from the top I split 9 dragon shields in one deck and 1 katana sleeve in another. and they wouldn't shuffle its easier to start with 1/4 or 1/3 size piles and go horizontally trying to be mindful to not grip either pile too tightly so the cards actually can get in-between each othereven with pricey cards I wish I could riffle them but not sure how to even get started on that
>>98345447No you dont understandPeople do the mana weaving and then do normal shuffling to randomizationIt's doubly retarded
>>98345419I pile shuffle sometimes though after searches, I'm pretty fast at it and don't want to hurt my cards like riffle shuffle does when I split sleeves>>98345425That's what I thought, I shuffle sufficiently after every match and do light shuffling after searches
>>98345261yeah well when (if) I eventually order a bunch of mpc proxies I'm going to include a "Garruk but he got desparked" proxy for Kraven.I kinda like the avatar artwork though... >>98345343>>98345185yeah it's just a little awkward since there are a couple of sorcery speed removal pieces in the deck like Bridgeworks Battle. but I think it's worth it over rampant growth maybe
>>98345125actually anyone arguing manamorphose is for only storm is the larper
unless you're the world's most neurotic jew who the fuck cares about shuffle methods, just let another player cut the deck and let's move on
>etali player hits windfall and wheel of fortune>cast pic rel and copy it reverb>erm>this doesnt say you can cast it right now, it doesn't ignore timing restrictions!>have a huge argument>table decides I'm wrong and I can't cast my opponents ulamog and time stretchThey are a special blend of tryhard and fucking retarded that makes them insufferable
>>98345547Yeah it's for that whole 5% of decks that run Git Probe except not even that.
>>98345343that card is pretty cool, its a shame both of his artworks are ass.
>>98345569>You cast the copy while Reenact the Crime is resolving and still on the stack. You can't wait to cast it later in the turn. (2024-02-02)Okay so why didn't you just whip out your phone and prove it with the rulings?
>>98345598I did. They said 'that doesn't mean you can ignore timing restrictions. Exile an instant or something with flash'
>>98345609Yeah that's when I scoop and tell them to fuck off and learn the rules. I don't have the time or the patience to deal with retards anymore
>>98345609It literally doesI hate card game players so much
>>98345622Well, this is where they kept saying ‘where does it say you can cast it at instant’ and I pointed to etali, but they just said it was different. Where do the rules actually split? Jeska’s will vs etali for example
Lol got a warning
>>98345632>Etali>If you cast any of the exiled cards, you do so as part of the resolution of the triggered ability. You can't wait to cast them later in the turn. Timing permissions based on a card's type are ignored, and the spells resolve before blockers are declared. (2021-03-19)Like I said, scoop and tell them to fuck off
>>98345530>I pile shuffle sometimes though after searchesHopefully as you end your turn, I wouldn't wait on that lol.
>>98345642Thats EXACTLY what they pulled up. Reenact the crime doesnt have that ruling, so I just wasn’t able to reconcile how they are the same
>>98345641no racism outside of /b/, chuddie.
>>98345644Ah, I get it. But also:>You cast the copy while Reenact the Crime is resolving and still on the stack. You can't wait to cast it later in the turn.>You can't wait to cast it later in the turn.>can't fucking waitTaking a single action, letting one thing resolve, doing ANYTHING will count as "later in the turn". So, same difference.
>>98345632thats because they don't understand the rules.the spell is granting you access and the ability to cast the spell, right now, at this moment, while the spell is resolving, or you lose itimpulse "until end of turn" gramts you access to the spell until the end of the turn but doees not give you additional permissions to cast it
>>98345647I called you white btw don't feel bad
>>98345644it's the same wording, every "you may cast" that doesn't specify timing ignores timing rules. miracle, madness, cascade, discover.

>>98346403Bolas was such a boring fucking villain. His entire plot through ALA to WAR was excruciating to sit through. The writers crammed him into the background of every new plot to keep him as the "threat" even when what was going on had nothing to do with him. His big villain moment in HOU where they needed to write him getting out of mustache twirling villain chair and beat some ass was incredibly lame. He killed nobody and just gave the Gatewatch a harsh spanking. His lackey gods did more than him in that set when they murdered the Amonkhet pantheon (except for the pervert.) Don't even get me fucking started on how lame his final assault in WAR was after 10+ years of cockteasing hype. I am beyond mad they kept this ugly Gobina excuse for a dragon alive and I'm gonna blow a gasket when we get stuck with him as the big bad for another decade. Every card they did for the big ugly fuck was exactly the same too>DESTROYDISCARDSACRIFICEDRAWDRAWDRAWDESTROYDESTROYDESTROY I WIN THE GAME!! XDDDDDDDDDDWow riveting. Give me literally anybody else as the villain. Eldrazi, Phyrexians, Jace, fucking evil Loot if it really comes to that. I am still so beyond sick of Bolas even years after he stepped down as the main antagonist because of how hard wotc pushed him as their Thanos. I will not miss the Gatewatch era not matter how hard nostalgiafags cry they liked it better than what we have now, and it's mainly because of this ugly fucking "dragon."
>>98346175I own all those cards. They are either expensive staples I didn't want to buy duplicates of, or they are just cheap cards I wanted to make fun proxies of to use instead. Not that it really matters. Its a lower end of a 4 for fun.

Call me uninspired but the 5 color deck for MSH should have been The Watcher as a Saga commander. ETB or attack remove or add 1 lore counter on a saga you control. At the beginning of your second main phase if he didn’t attack that turn draw 1 card for each saga you control.
>>98347115>draw 1 card for each saga you control.mother of god Narci already has me drawing way too many goddamned cards each turn, and my turns are already long enough with how many sagas I get out
>>98347118Idk what payoff to give for not attacking. Maybe he gets a +1/+1 counter for each Saga you have instead.
>>98347129Fair, actually. And the +1/+1 counters make no sense since he only watches, never engages in combat
>>98347135gain life, timmies love life
Why not just use the 5c saga commander that already exists?

>>98347276>5c bannedarisu would never
>>98347280she cute but still way too fucking expensive for a card that was $0.50 before final fantasy
Is it too strong for a bracket 2 deck with a deathtouch theme but no aristocrats sacrifice shenanigans?
>>98347333it's fine for b2 relax
>>98347333Is it threatening a win by turn 5 or 6?
>>98347280Cute af but not good enough for the price
>>98347335>>98347354It's a Pharika self-mill sort of grindy value deck, I don't think it's winning before like turn 10. I'm just not super certain on the expectations of B2, I mostly play stuff that would be considered B3-4 and it seems kinda vague beyond the explicit hard limits like no MLD.
>>98347368>I don't think it's winning before like turn 10.Then it's fine. There are precons that can win faster than that.
>>98346486I just want to make a Jurassic Park deck that shit should not be 5 billion dollars
>>98347368>I'm just not super certain on the expectations of B2it's easy>no mld, which are cards that "regularly destroy, exile, and bounce other lands, keep lands tapped, or change what mana is produced by four or more lands per player without replacing them" (gavin's words not mine)>no infinites or "you win the game" alt wincons until everyone has had a natural turn 8, if you get it in hand early you sandbag it until turn 9>no GCs>don't sweat the "no chaining extra turns" gavin never defined it anyway and 95%~ of them are infinites anywaythis ensures that combat damage is relevant, nobody argues about "muh combo is inconsistent please allow it" and that nobody cries about a b2-legal combo deck from the cz that comes out guaranteed starting turn 5, picrel
>>98347449continuing on what i said gavin never defined what a "lock" is either so don't sweat about that too, imo "hard locks" are ones that make you skip your draws and/or prevent you from casting spells but hey i'm not gavin
>>98346661Draw+Discard is garbage and I'm sick of pretending it isn't.>just run graveyard recursion broYeah let me just further dilute my deck that's already packed with mandatory staples like draw (that actually lets me keep cards), removal, ramp, protection, etc that already kills any sense of theme or individuality my deck might have as this format rapidly degrades into standard/modern netdecking where anyone who doesn't show up at a table with the current meta just gets btfo'd.God I hope riftbound catches on.
>>98346686He was banned because back then he was ruining the soul of the format but wotc has long sinced killed the soul of edh so his banning is utterly pointless now.
>>98347333>ward - 5 poison countersGod I wish I could utilize this as the wincon. Is there no real way to force opponents to take them except for Mindslaver shenanigans?
>>98347471>muh theme>muh individualityimagine being whinier about smashbros tcg (which is what edh is really) than nintentards that actually play smashbros
>>98347333Even with reanimation it's solidly a bracket 2 deck. If combat damage is your wincon it's bracket 2, even if its commander damage or you put in a threatening creature like Fynn who could theoretically end the game in one turn. You still have to figure out evasion, people still have to think about whether to block and how to. Turns are interactive for the whole table instead of everyone sitting there just hoarding their combos/combo counters.Bracket 3+ is for comboslop and fagdecks whose sweaty owners just can't help cramming in busted staples like Rhystic or TOR.
>>98347507Man the princess bride art is fucking great. Montoya is still my favorite commander because of it

>>98347733Pure sagas are boring busywork. Saga Creatures is a great rework of the card type but we're not going to see a new one for at least two years and the ones we currently have aren't great.
>>98347746>but we're not going to see a new one for at least two yearsI don't think it's really something that they couldn't justify again in other sets. Crumbling magic creatures, escalating monstrosities, even the flip saga Praetors showed it was possible in one way or another. But knowing Magic, yeah fuck they won't bother until they absolutely have to next Final Fantasy. And even if they did it doesn't help how much you have to keep track of when dealing with sagas.
What you don't know is that Reality Fracture is the end of Magic's story, period.
>>98347775>Realities Fracture so that all the UW characters get flung into UB planes >every set afterward is UB but sometimes Jace or Sorin or Gideon is in there hanging out with the Paw Patrol or BioniclesThat would be supremely based.
>>98347737Tifa has 2000 less decks
>>98347791Fynn's been out for 5 years, reprinted a dozen times, and costs a quarter. Tifa has been out for 1 year, is $2 bucks at her cheapest, and has a single print. Tifa is clearly more popular.
