What kind of gameplan you had with it?
>>98370358>TQI never cast him I just use him to get all 5 colors then play Hermit Druid :)
>>98370114They really gotta figure this shit out. I like the art of pic related but it looks like shit when paired with the ultra sleek mobile game tier frames modern magic cards use.
>tqWhile I have played magic on and off since 2000, I didn't have any desire to play Commander until 4ish years ago. So I don't have an answer. The oldest card I have as a commander now is Gisela, Blade of Goldnight.
Shit TQNew better TQ: Post your most hated, and egregious poorly designed cards of the last 5 years.
>>98370358Mono Brown fun stuff. Now, it's getting Mycosynth Lattice out and wiping my opponent's lands.
>>98370586why does it look... like that?
>>98370586Pic unrelated I assume. It's perfect engagement bait and for getting Timmies to self-report.
>>98370586Anon, this is the most nothing burger finisher, very few decks are going to actually use this and it's much weaker than both normal hoof or even moonshaker.Get help.
>>98370358I only have these 3. Ixidor is probably my favorite cause it's such an odd deck.
Thirty (30) starting life is objectively superior to fourty (40)
I love him and I'm gonna win a game by casting for X = 11 and putting like 40 1/1 counters on him with the right setup
Here is your token once-per-set slightly attractive female card, chud.Dont say I never gave you anything.
>>98370609No, its legit broken and going to warp commander, the format of artifact bullshit. Only a retard would think otherwise.
it's overhyped
Dude a Dragon Quest set would actually be so sick. Make it just like the FF set. Man i really want it now
>>98370747Too bad she's basically wearing a burka.
>>98370795>Modern Dragon Quest censored designs drawn by western artists commissioned by WizardsFucking no thank you.
>>98370759If you're generating 7 mana (including 3 red) and have enough creatures and artifacts on your board to win outright with this card you're already winning anyways. It's the definition of winmore and will basically see zero play.
>>98370759Shouldn't this be one of the highest played cards in the format then? You literally WIN with it. For free.
Remember how Jumbo Cactuar was going to warp the game around it?
>>98370842Only retards thought this unironically
>>98370842cEDH is all Jumbo Cactuar turbo now. The only thing that's going to stop it is Red Craterhoof
>>98370818NTA, but I hate the term "win more"Yeah, sure, you can be in positions where there is no to cast it to win, but you still do, but there are also plenty of times where you really need that trample break through. Also, if you're using a deck that just wants to slug everyone down, than anything that speeds it up like token doublers and impact tremors, that's not winning more, that's just accelerating your gameplan. Its a silly term.
>Have an Elminster deck>doesn't have a great scry payoff>get what I thought was the card of my dreams>"This ability triggers only once each turn."These are the worst words Magic has ever used. I'm legitimately seething right now
>>98370826You could easily win any given game with only the +4 and trample across the board with the new Crater, meanwhile this card requires that number to be at freaking 20 already AND for all your shit to survive an entire turn rotation.
>>98370957Looping this is just win-more. One fog is enough.
OOPS I DID IT AGAIN
but artifacts already have a craterhoof.
It's a bad card because, it just is, OKAY?!
>>98371064Zoomers don't understand how OP it is having a creature with 6 power and 4 toughness for only 6 mana.
>>98371081ludo kino
Back in my day, this was good enough as a finisher.
>>98371088Posting pictures was easier too
>>98371096This still gets W's here and there, but your right, nowadays you want something like Pathbreaker Ibex, the actual GOAT of this type of effect
>>98371096WTF this will make creature decks OP!
>>98370804what in tarnation are you on about
>>98371113What until you see this! The powercreep is REAL
>>98371131Pathbreaker Ibex has this as a repeated effect, strong ass goat
>>98370795You will never be Japanese
>>983710816 power for 6 mana?! No wonder green is the king of creature beatdowns. Vizzerdrix needs one more mana and even then it trades with craw wurm. Insane value. How can blue ever compete?
>>98371205peak magic
>>98370358>tqI'm relatively new to the game (started during ONE) but I've wanted to build a primeval dragon for a while, been considering oros since I don't have a mardu deck

I want to make a zen garden deck that isnt shrines. There are no rock creatures, far as I can tell. Suggestions?
>>98371319>No trample
>>98370759I won't even put this in my artifact deck because the effect being ETB kills it
>>98370358>What is your favorite commander that existed before 2011? What kind of gameplan you had with it?Nothing. Commander was not interesting at the time

>Package from the otherside of the country arrived, when bought after, one from the same state.
What do you think is a civil amount of board wipes to run in a heavier deck? 2 seems almost too light, 3 seems respectable, but past that and I feel like it's already eye rolling territory, especially when they're using Farewell
>>98371392Who cares. The answer is as many as you think your deck needs.
I'm running Vivi Spell Copies. What are some fun spells to copy? Right now Ensared by the Mara and Tasha's Hideous Laughter put in some serious work

>>98371420Splash some democracy while you're at it
>>98371420I tried this but if someone has used this before they all know to choose Silence. All it takes is one person at the table to explain how it works
>>98371420>Use this>Immediately someone yells out they are snitching
>removal.dec>completely shuts down 2 guys at the table>the third guy doesn't care and wins unimpeded
>>98371473You say that but I've tried to explain to my pod several times why they should always choose silence or never take the "tempting offer" cards but they never listen
>>98371420This card - like a real life Prisoner's Dilemma scenario - can be answered by simply murdering the person who opts to snitch.
>>98371338Bitch you're in red. If you're not running at least one of the dozens of "your creatures all have trample" cards then that's on you
>>98371420this is the best card ever printed
>>98371471voting =/= secretly choosing
Are there any interesting red decks?I really wanna build a red deck but I actually wanna use my brain while I'm playing it

>>98370358>What is your favorite commander that existed before 2011? What kind of gameplan you had with it?This big badass fucker. I run it as ramp and dragon tribal. >>98371642This guy is amazing.
>>98371756There are 15 in red.9 of those are tribe dependent.
>>98371762>9 of those are tribe dependentYeah so they're fucking useless.
>>98371762One of them (Archetype of aggression) also beats all other trample enablers.Namely because it removes trample from all your opponent's shit.
>>98370358>TQturns out having a 12+ power commander that dodges all spot removal and enables a lot of cards that care about greatest power has aged really well.
You sit down to play with someoneand they have a deck for every color pairso you ask>oh thats cool what do they do?>mill>oh ok, what else>mill, all of themwhat is your response
Building this now. And cool tech I should look out for before I dive into edhrec and scryfall?
>>98371793Show me the selesnya mill one
>>98371802self-mill
>>98371802Oh thats not me, its a hypothetical though Ive thought about doing it.Selesnya is pretty fucking difficult to do. Probably have to either pick the best artifact synergy commander or try to have everyone draw a ton idk. Maybe make a shit ton of tokens and sack them to force people to mill. The probably with that strat and a card like this>>98371809is that at that point you can just win with the tokens without milling and in John's case youre going to deal lethal commander before milling them out
Please say something nice about my wife.

>>98371856She makes games not take an hour and a half. It might not be you, but someone is going to win sooner than control and pillow fort players would prefer.
>>98371842luv me forced attacks

>>98371897Kill yourself staxnigger
>>98371786he's my goat, love this turbo draw green fatty
>>98371897some people want to play the game
>>98371904I think people would rather bitch about how I'm not letting them play turbo solitaire over playing the game
>>98371897imo it's just another wincongetting locked out on turn 8 is not very different from getting hoofed by 20 1/1s on turn 8I will shake your hand and go next if I'm pretty sure I can't win though, we're not playing for money after all
>older friend decides to get into magic again tonight >He asked if I could update one of his decks for him since he never did it>TFW it's one of the worse decks I've seen>TFW I remembered I made it for him years ago when I started deckbuilding and not buying precons.
>>98371897My regular pod hate forcefield more than they hate static orb. I don't get it. I get hating getting locked out of the game, but only being able to do one damage if I'm holding up mana somehow makes them seethe more.
>>98371897Honestly, people don't bitch about them enough. They deserve infinitely more hate.
>>98371856She drags games down to a crawl. All everyone wants to do is do everything they can to not attack. Even if their deck would have wanted to attack. Being forced to do something slows shit down to an unbearable pace as everyone else is trying to find a way not to do it.
>>98371941I learned this playing jon irenicus, all I did was give people unblockable 1/1s that must attack and every game they bitched and played weird
>>98371920Your old sins are coming back to haunt you. What was the deck?
so this card becomes instant game changer the second it releases right?

>>98370358>tqStill run her. Always liked cards with her flavor text and I think spellshapers are a great and underutilized card type.I built her because some guy at the LGS said mono-red burn was shit in EDH.It's just mono-red burn. Has a surprisingly high win rate.
>>98371334Zen gardens are all about rocks, right? Toggo, goblin weaponsmith
>>98372158>underutilized there are like 5 mechanics that basically do what the idea of a spellshaper was at this point
>>98372144
>>98370358>TQKami of the Crescent Moon. You've seen the meme, it's basically Owling Mine scaled up to 4 players. Loads of fun at lower power tables. >>98371786>>98371901I just converted my Ghalta to Multani and it's so much more fun, the card velocity is insane. I'm shocked he's not a more popular pick.
>>98372237>Kami of the Crescent Moon. You've seen the meme, it's basically Owling Mine scaled up to 4 players. Loads of fun at lower power tables.Kami was one of my first meme decks back in the day (2009). I ended up finding out about pic related and went full on him. It's a bracket two deck that everyone loves to play against and still wins pretty often.
I really like bounty counters thematically but how do I actually win with this guy without doing something boring like Second Sun?I guess I could do >hurr durr Orzhov Vampiresbut that doesn't seem very group huggy.
>>98372276>end step trigger>but not in blue so no Y'shtola
>>98371420This card is funny but it only gets funnier when it gets copied. If someone snitches on the first round the second round just turns into a circus.
>>98371961Ah yes, draw go rule of law propaganda is really engaging
>>98372346this but ionically
>>98371941Making people squirm sounds based
The fuck whitey gonna do?
>>98372356It sounds funny but that's not what's actually going to happen. People will just stare at their hands. Tap and untap a few lands and repeat on and on for about ten to twenty minutes a turn and then not cast anything and just pass. And that's me low balling how bad it will really be. The reality will be worse. It's the driest and most unengaging games you can imagine.
>>98372276>that doesn't seem very group huggyI personally don't understand how you win with Group Hug decks in general.
>>98372412There are plenty of good Group Hug Cards/Commanders that let you walk out with you getting the most benefit
>>98372414I was thinking of building the gay boys but I have no idea where to start.
>>98372430Just play all the good stuff Group Hug cards then use your free lands to play some big timmy X-costers or abuse landfall
>>98372430I know someone who played this with every shitty chaos card
>>98372276Replying to my own post, think I'm gonna go with Extort. Normally with something that hits the entire table like extort I would be wary about my own defenses but SURELY people won't be angry I drain everyone for 2 if I also heal them back later, it's still a net gain of life for me.
>>98372412It's a style that to win with either requires you to be playing with idiots or requires you to act like a fag and try to guilt trip people whenever anyone even attempts to interact with you or attack you. Otherwise everyone would know you need to be taken out immediately.
>>98372363Got a perfect commander for that.
>>98372460always kill group hugger first
>>98372476>... said the Green player.

>>98372493Not my problem you tards rule 0'd MLD.
>>98372476This has quite literally never failed me. The idiot sending both of my other opponents and himself +3 on cards every turn and +4 on mana has to fucking die. There is no magical way group hug ever wins but it's strengthening my enemies so much I'd be stupid not to kill it first. Don't ever get guilt tripped just kill it.
>>98372476Exactly. The fags will try to guilt trip you and whine but they need to be taken out as soon as possible.
>>98372506thanks I needed landfall triggers
>>98372507I think that's the thing players fail to understand. The group hug player isn't just drawing you one card or whatever the fuck they try to do. They're drawing your other two opponents and often themselves with extra cards too. It's badly skewed against you unless you do something about it fast.
Very proud of my high quality tokens i just made (idk how to draw)

did they announce a LORE card yet this is the funniest thing I've ever seen from Star Trek and I don't know shit about it really other than William Shatner was in the OG ones and that gay bald man from X men with the telekinetic wheel chair is in the later ones and the blind black man with the computer vision goggles. but when this meme dropped I had to torrent the 'sode and it was goofy asl

The funniest thing about people who hate UB is that since UB sets became a thing they have to hype up every in universe set despite the fact that they were the same people shitting on every modern set saying how dogshit the cards and story are. Now they have to pretend shit like the most recent Tarkir set was actually phenomenal. We could literally get UB - hot bikini bitches and some people would still perform olympic level gymnastic routines to tell you why wakanda the set is better. Thats a thing too man so many recent planes/sets are just so shameless in what theyre copying that it almost goes beyond inspiration>Harry Potter but MTG>Kaiju Fights but MTG>Wakanda but MTG

I've yet to use any post-block commanders so I'm not sure what I'll do there, but it's been a lot of fun. It also shows me the fucking power creep over the years. This has been my blog, thank you.

Zhalfir might be good, I have no hope for cyperpunk plane and am sad they are using Ikoria to feed it cause I like Ikoria. Nauctus looks good.Until reality fracture is out I won't know what they're doing with the story all all, so I can't comment much on that. >>98373247>wanpiss garbage eater spic retard not only has shit taste but also has no idea what he's talking aboutthe overlap between people who bitched about hat sets, which were all UW, and people who bitch about UB sets, is like 90%. yeah people liked Dragonstorm because while it was worse than og khans it was coming on the heels of 80s movie set, Racecar set, Cowboy set and Detective set if people are excited for the '27 lineup it's because it looks better than what we've been getting.
>>98373362speaking of newbies. got another story why I hate playing against them>be red>play ruination>fucks over the 5c slop pile and slow down the comboplayer who runs way too few basics for a 2 color deck>take out a player>boardwipe from comboplayer so they can keep digging>5 color player has done nothing but play land pass, full grip>comboplayer pillowforts to survive another turn so they can do the thing>5 color player has finally gotten to play a couple things>tell him I can kill the combo player if they remove ghostly prison>they refuse saying they'd rather get comboed out than letting me play. out of spite presumably>5c pile had a farewellhe could have won against me 1v1 but chose not to even try

More cool shit than Dragonshit for sure. Also its funny you say I have no idea what Im talking about when you are literally doing EXACTLY WHAT I SAID IN MY POST.Only talking about hat sets meanwhile glazing the absolute snore inducing return to tarkir and softlaunching support for the most uninspired copy paste africa wakanda plane. Give me a million final fantasy sets over that. Water world looks cool, and the kaiju set will have some cool visuals, unfortunate they had to neuter two established planes to do so

>>98373525>he's calling (You) a newfag for mentioning that 60-card kitchen table used to existbwahahaha
>>98373490The "average" EDH player in the era you're referring to wasn't a dedicated EDH player. They used the format to screw around and kill time with literal binder chaff before 60-card events because they were too socially inept to play D&D or a real card game. Very few people actually played EDH in this window and almost nobody actually took any of the rules seriously. This is also assuming they were good at type 2 which most of them were not because the average type 2 player was way worse at the time.Modern wasn't even a format at this time. If you want to fast forward for 2011 (when Modern was made), this is also when we got Commander 2011 and Innistrad, where cEDH was just starting to take off as an idea because people were now building dedicated EDH decks. The top 2 decks were, without question, Zur the Enchanter and 5c Hermit Druid (the latter of which didn't even want to cast its general/commander). However the average player didn't know this because, again, the average player was horrible at the game. Most players still didn't know Mystic Remora was one of the best 1-drops in the format. This is where the shift began from players being shit because they were bad type 2 players that didn't give a rat's ass about the format to players being shit because it's their first format. Notice how at no point in this transition was the average player actually good at the game.So I'm calling this claim out as LARP. The only reason the players seemed better in the past was likely because you yourself were worse at the game and didn't realize how they were constantly making obvious mistakes and bitching about things that made no sense, because you fucking agreed with them and thought nothing of it.

>>98373558I actually played the game at the time. You did not. This format was always comprised of horrendously incompetent players and the fact you have no refutation is itself evidence that I'm right and you know it, but want to pretend otherwise because it would mean acknowledging there was a period of time where you, like 100% of other players, sucked at the game.

>>98373638You gave the counterpoint to your own argument>WotC is doing UB because they want more money than equivalent UW cards>They are refusing to print your desired card>Therefore the conclusion can be drawn that your card would not make them more money than a different card
>>98373647Wotc wouldve gimped you from having reprints whether it's UB or UW, but thanks for admitting UB sells because UW is such a trashfire :)
>>98373653>WotC would'veConjecture. Doesn't address the question. If 4p Thoughtseize would be both healthy for the game and a bigger money card than a reprint, why haven't they printed it?
>>98373659>why don't people always do the correct action 100% of the time?because they're stupid, like you
>>98373675Cool theory, unfortunately it doesn't line up with how set design has ever worked. If they think a novel idea has promise, they'll print it. If they're concerned about its impact, they'll make it overcosted.Since Duress was printed in 1998 and Thoughtseize was printed in 2007, both predate Commander receiving official product. Let's be generous and say this only started in 2011. Why didn't they try even once in 15 years? Surely a 4 mana Thoughtseize for 4 players would be a safe card in power level.
>>98373696>yeah it also took wotc THIS long to give mono white *some* tools, but i will ignore this and other design issues because i have a hate boner for people looking and touching my hand
>>98373696Nta but Thoughtseize is already a busted card and people don't realize it
>>98373708Not comparable, in Magic we can draw cards to refill our hand with new answers.
>>98373704Non sequitur. White has historically been stronger than both red and green in Commander for basically its entire lifespan while remaining a great splash color in eternal formats off the back of Silence and StP/PtE. The fact this color was relevant for 20 years is exactly why it didn't get flashy new tools like green and red did.
>>98373723so mono white is supposed to suck forever right because wotc intentionally in their infinite wisdom doesn't buff the color? got it senpai haha
>>98373730Another non sequitur. Mono any color is functionally extinct outside Pauper and sometimes red in Standard. By this logic blue needs more tools because monoblue isn't played in Legacy. If anything this is an example of the color pie working when mono color decks don't work because their weaknesses are too pronounced.
>>98372968Yeah but he's also the best pingers commander with so he's expensive as shit
>>98373708That's a different discussion entirely although I agree with you.

>>98373824Irrelevant in every sense. Not only is monogreen not viable, but this isn't even related to your premise of black needing an added tool in 4 player (where it is already the second strongest color). If anything you have undermined your own premise by saying weak colors need more tools while your argument hinges on an already strong color getting another tool.Post the Good Morning Magic image now.

>>98374438The real answer for why WotC doesn't even try is that resolving it would take too much time for one card even if it's at an unplayable cost like 6 mana. Remember that this is in the context of the average EDH player being retarded so they'll play it without knowing what to take so you get 15 minutes of people trying to politic over it which isn't good design.
>>98374372You sound like a fag
>>98374468fear of people durdling hasn't stopped wotc from designing sagas/moving counters/non-deterministic storm bs
>>98374482A card that becomes a problem when there's 10 of them is very different from a card that becomes a problem by itself.
>>98374474I accept your concession.
>>98374485>a bunch of infamous durdling archetypes is less of an issue than 1 hypothetical card that is bound to be a GC away from b2 timmy pods anywayxD
>>98374521Okay schizo. Notice how one type of card got printed and the other exists only in your head.
>>98374532notice how you got btfo though for the nth time

Man what a good thread. I can only wonder why whiteschizo came here it's almost like you give him free (You)s.
Hey guys, you know what? I concede. Just letting you know.
My name is Anonymous and I hate Magic
>>98374491t. loet the argument
>>98374569No, your name is Winner and you love Magic the Gathering. I accept your victory.
>>98374568You can't scoop at instant speed
>>98374569
>>98374577Yes you can
>>98374577Well who's fucking turn is it? I swear if it's Adam durdling around while looking at his big butt anime token proxy collection again I'll put Painful Quandary back in my 99.
>>98373723>White has historically been stronger than both red and green in Commander for basically its entire lifespan>Than greenI'm not even part of this conversation, but this is wrong. White didn't even have ramp or card draw until 2019-2020. The only thing that kept it going was Knight White Orchid/land tax/Mentor of Meek. I've been playing the same Odrick, Lunarch Marshall since I put him together in 2016. Green had all the land ramp, plus card draw spells like Harmonize, Garruk, Greater Good, Momentous fall, Life's Legacy, and cards like Soul of the Harvest, Elemental bond, Garruks pack leader, AND Sylvan Library which was a powerhouse back then and now. Then they got Rishkars Expertise, and all this was before most of White "catch up" ramp was fleshed out or gave White the ability to draw cards. You had to get shit like Mind's eye and Well LDreams, if you were in a life gain deck, to get some good draw before 2019. Maybe Sage's Rev was the big draw spell but only in aura decks, and aura decks are just selesnya enchantress. White still doesn't have explosive draw like green, and the consistent draw is just Esp Sentinel and Trouble in Pairs. (Those cards are crazy good though)
>>98374586>I swear if it's Adam durdling around while looking at his big butt anime token proxy collection again I'll put Painful Quandary back in my 99.>No one in my pod runs or even owns painful quandary but myselfPhew, that was a close one.
>>98373723that was before stax got banned (bracket 4+, where it gets outpaced)
>>98374598I always hear things about trouble in pairs but I never seem to get good visible value from it, by the time I get decent draws I could have just played like one sphinx revelation or something
reminder that the fact that people can concede and grief due to certain rules interactions when people leave the game is only more proof that ultimately edh is meant to be played to win whether your pod is cedh or b1 draft chaff
>>98374598Good LARP but there's a reason even in 2011 half the field in cEDH was esper with no sultai.
>>98374617I guess it depends on your play group, but being able to draw up to three cards a turn cycle from one opponent is very big. And you only need it to happen once for it to pay for itself. Everything after is just gravy.
>>98374598It's Kraum and Tymna, not Thrasios and Tymna.
>>98374637blue black did all the heavy lifting for sharuum, white was just happy to be there
>>98374644the topic isn't whether white has good staple cards (it does), but whether white is a robust color in its own right (it's not)
>>98374637Strawman. I'm talking about white as a complete color, Esper uses colorless ramp, Blues card draw, blacks tutors, and Whites removal. I never claimed that White doesn't have the best removal, it does, but it can't stand on its own in 2011, it struggled in 2016, and it's conditionally good in 2026. Saying that White is better than Green for it's "entire lifespan" because of Esper Cedh is very braindead and not a good faith argument.
now you CAN'T concedethat would be BREAKING THE RULES
>>98374683Luther you madman!
>>98374653Basically no color is robust on its own anymore. Any monocolor deck prays it opens one of three cards or it loses. This is a very large departure from early EDH where Azami and Arcum were premier threats because blue was actually good enough to be run solo.
>>98374683i like that he wields a doom blade
>>98374691still my favorite alter of all time (from a reddit post 13 years ago)
>>98373387>fucks over player>surprised same player won't help you laterWhy would you expect something else? It's how the vast majority of players will play that. I'm not saying it would be the right play but it's what most would do. Most wouldn't read the table and realize they could leverage better one way or the other and put spite aside. Hell even the ones who do may just not anyway just to fuck you.
>>98374690the question is whether monocolor can win consistently enough in cedh to be meta (no) but whether it's worth using one to spike a tournament or two (it can, and you have a lot more chances with mono green as being a lands archetype bypasses counterspells than with mono white)
>>98374683>opponent plays that>"okay I concede">go make a sandwich while other players durdle for ten minutes>sit back down because I never actually lost>play doppelgang combo for win>leave
>>98374735Don't a fair bit of mono red decks do fine though? Like Magda, godo, and zada?
>>98374619legitimately this has to be a kind of mental illness or something. What is so hard to grasp about this? >battle royale, kitchen table Last night I had 2 games:>Ok guys super 4s!!! >bring out deadpool turn 2, turn 3 blade of selves >urza, kefka and kinnan player groan>WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I CANT DEAL WITH THIS>tell them I won't just instantly remove their commanders, its cool, I won't swap their commanders at all>DUDE YOU ARE JUST GOING TO REMOVE MY COMMANDER GOD I CANT PLAY>DUDE CMON MPLEASE JUST LET ME PLAY>they sit around passing turns paralyzed while I keep swapping their draw engine creatures>BRO CMON PLEASE JUST LET ME DO SOMETHING GOD>I NEEDED THAT SEEDBORN MUSE/FAERIE MASTERMIND/DRAW ENGINE PLEASE MAN CMON>reanimate ob nixilis>urza player scoops when he loses 10 life to fetch land, then another 10 for fabricate It's like they are on mental training wheels and have some predefined play patterns they can't veer from. When I told them my goal wasn't to just 'win at all costs' and I promised to not swap their commanders because I wanted them to have fun, but they immediately don't believe me and the kefka player scooped when I pyroblasted his cyc rift, then red elemental blasted his force of will and was pissed he couldn't play the game.
>>98374805>they sit around passing turns paralyzed while I keep swapping their draw engine creatures...but...deadpool gives them draw...literally every deadpool i pop puts the deadpool player down a card in advantage
>>98374805>Kinnan player whines because he cant play the game because people threaten his commanderLiterally.Every.Single.Time.
I always wanted to build a Zur deck, is his deck solved/futureproof or is there some cool or jank stuff you can do with it?
>>98374805man imagine all that crying just because it was your time to have a busted draw
>>98374805b1 and b4 are just containment brackets
>>98374833>Untap with Zur>Get Necropotence>Game is overYes he's solved but tutoring to play means you can do any number of faggy things you want.
>>98374842All brackets except 2 is a containment bracket.
>>98374849also correcteven though i'm familiar with cedh b2 still is the best way to play edh for the vast majority of players
Question: if you use a cast two cards that say "take an extra turn after this one" do these stack to two extra turns or no?
>>983748492 is like THE containment bracket
>>98373039I think if any person could handle 90000 tokens it would be an autistic person.
>>98373247This IS the funniest thing. Every shitty UW set has to be hyped now. And when it releases we have to be told "IT WAS THE BESTEST SET EVER! SOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN UB! A-A-AND EVERYONE LOVED IT MORE" "So what if I said Magical schools were garbage a few years ago?!"
>>98374925I don't know about you guys but I find something to enjoy with every set. I may not make a commander from it but I will put a card from each set in my decks if possible
>>98374933Don't bother with that guy, he's just responding to himself because he wants to go one another "UB good, UW bad" tirade.
All the UW haters will be kneeling when Bolas undergoes his redemption arc, causing him and Ugin to become one of the most iconic couples in all of fiction.
>>98374906I'm pretty sure you just get the one turn. If you wanted two extra turns you'd need to use the second card on your first extra turn
>>98373487I think people like urza and karn. and maybe Mishra. a lot of people used to like Jace. I think the Skyship Weatherlight is bad af
>>98374906>>98374955Extra turn cards stack. You'll get as many extra turns as you resolve
>>98374906>>98374955extra turns stack even if you cast time warp + twincast on the same turn
Kinda hope there's a Castlevania UB so we can get more whip equipment
>>98373887>what's the gameplanIt's a landfall deck, focuses on deserts. More lands, more sand boys. Witchmaw is my favorite design-wise, but very difficult to build anything remotely interesting around it. Ink-treader is completely broken.
>>98374286you mean good card pile? stay mad!!
>>98374544yeah im not gonna pay the one>casts this generating 15 mana, wins
>>98374833It's a reusable tutor in the command zone, so you can do basically anything. I made a pillowfort deck with him. No deck is "solved" in a casual format.Thwt said, it isn't all that fun especially if you hate the lack of randomness tutoring brins, and it's very slow if you aren't just playing combo or voltron, which random will 100% assume you are.

week 2 in a row of going to the LGS and not finding a game after sitting there for an hour. what the actual fuck. 3 weeks ago got a game and wanted to do my main bracket 4 deck and 2 of the other dudes only had bracket 3 and the other dude had a cedh deck so that game naturally sucked and ended on t4. is there any actual humans playing this game or what? if youre just playing with your buddies why not play at home instead of a store?? I mean long before the commander days back in 2010 we'd be chiefing cigs around the kitchen table playing 60 card magic or pokemon, maybe with a beer, some marijauno (not me weed sucks) or something silly like a klon-donnapinonly time we set foot in stores was to do pre-releases (most recent being Scars of Mirrodin and Pokemon heart gold/soul silver Call of Legends, awesome set with bonus Celebi sleeve)this is BUNK
