Now that Votann exist, is there any reason for Space Wolves to? Votann do the Nordic themeing better and even actually raid other worlds for resources, GW should just squat the Yiffs and be done with them.

>paint stuff in OPVery nice to have means of finding close enough colors from hobby paints for miniature painting that come in droppers.I still haven't gotten the Stahly paint charts that are the best ones.It makes me wonder if he is saving paint lines like the other AK 3rd Gen acrylic lines and Japanese hobby paints like Mr. Color and Tamiya's acrylics for later as an emergency when he can't come up with other content.A lot of AK and Vallejo's paints used for painting Warhammer 40k models are often derived from the RLM and FS historical colors. Makes me wonder how much of this is the case with GW's paints. Any oldgods here remember the inks? Which Liquitex or Daler Rowney inks are closest to the Citadel inks? And what did you use them for?I'm not sure about Coat D'arms' stuff in how accurate they are as there may have been small changes to the original recipes over time.

Is it too much of a hot take to say that wh40k can be something sold to legitimate toddlers?I remember those old playskool transformers toys that were made to be stupidly sturdy, imagine a big fat astartes toy (probably a terminator or a centurion, or just something that looks wide and chunky) made for babies, that would be fun.
>>98392470
I like the idea of tyranids but the models are just lame.

>>98392493This guy is so mentally broken. What did Chaos do to him?
>>98392263>>98392275>>98392288Being a model selling company first and foremost it was a fun snub from Relic to suggest that you could buy one box of XV25 and split them between your three three man squads as the Shas'vre. Something similar should be implied with the new XV26, with the second fusion blaster being a XV25 model.>>98392366T'au naming/codes were supposed to be identified as in universe Imperial logistic designations and the XV26 designation should be understood as a further breakdown of established naming conventions as new theaters and elements interpret the data.
>>98392510GW may try that with the Warhammer 40k IP. It is a bit weird that they hadn't. I don't think the Warhammer novels for kids counts. How were those books anyways for those who have read them?>transformers toys playskoolTransformers was having some pretty dark things in it's stories across different continuities despite all the lore being made to sell toys to kids. I sometimes wonder how deep and dark the Bionicle lore is that like Warhammer 40k lore was made to sell toys too.
Speaking about the Tau.What are the opinions on the new lore of the Damocles Crusade being a controlled conflict engineered by the Ethereals to test the T'au Empire and identify its weaknesses?
>>98392519Not bad. Could also be reused for hive gangers and alternative miniature wargaming cyberpunks. >>98392524Told him he had no izzat
>>98392527Ok, so Imperials are identifying the new stealth suit as an aero-space suit? Must not be a very good at stealth then.
>>98392566>>98392527That doesn't make sense since the Tau use the same designations for their suits.
I like orks :D>>98392452>TQ:for left, I wanted them to be based around liking to larp as human royalty and ruling over ‘umies as “protectors” which is why they’re called “Green Knights of Orkney” and so they have a lot of purple which is a royal color. I’m also listening to “Once and Future King” by T.H. White while painting to get more inspiration for them. for right, I wanted them to have a camo pattern, but didn’t like the idea of using navy, jungle, or desert camouflage, so instead I took inspiration from the spetsnaz in MW2 which would give them a cool pattern while also being flashy. there’s also some fascism elements in them because their soon to be gorkanaut will look like the fascism HQ, and have a big fasces on top with the boss nobs having similar fasces boss poles.>challengeI’ll try in the morning.

My friends got me to play dark tide and it was fun so I want to get into 40k. I think I want to play drukhari because every friday when I was a little child, my mom would beat me and tell me how I my hair was too greasy and that she regrets giving birth to me, and I think I can relate to drukhari because some of them also look greasy. Should I start collecting them now or wait until their eventual range refresh?
I have managed to secure a preorder for Exodites. I have been jazzed for Exodites since the rumors about them first started, the kit looks great, and I'm super excited for the book with some proper fucking Exodite lore and color schemesBut now I'm thinking... if I got two of the boxes, then I could build one set of regular Exodites and one set of the characters, I could flip the second book, and I'd have a bunch of the coolest kind of Orks, Beast Snaggas. Would I regret doing a small Beast Snagga army? I'm already rotating ideas in my mind for some simple conversions to make other Ork units more Beast Snaggaey...
>>98392716HAHA THIS NIGGA IS SERIOUSLY BUYING THE EXODITE BOX FOR THE ORKS HAHA
Besides Tau and individual space marine chapters, what is the weakest army when you put all of its resources together and ignore factional infighting?
>went to the library to make a shipping label for item>came home and put package in mail>ups picked it up 10 minutes laterDamn that was fast.
>>98392724I'd be buying it for both the Exodties and the Orks.
Anyone else feel like once exodites actually became a thing they stopped being interesting
>>98392714Idk when the refresh will be, but you could buy one box to see if you actually like the painting and building, so when the refresh happens, you'll be good at the painting and building
>>98392732Any given Astra Militarum regiment. No space capabilities at all.
>>98392738every concept is cooler in our imagination than GW's execution of it
>>98392732Sisters of Battle probably, just due to small scale of their total troops
>librarius sternguard combo is pretty strong but not even a tournament topper>GW pushes this exact combo in their own articles on their home page>out of nowhere nerfs librarians, librarius conclave, the enhancement is completely rewritten to never work again on the units it originally benefitted, and the two units (Sternguard and infernus) who are NEVER taken in 10 mans outside of this one fusillade brick also got points nerfs for max size unitsI do not think 4 different fucking nerfs and point increases were required as an emergency balance patch for something that wasn’t even game defining
What is yalls most dogshit Warhammer opinion. Mine is that imperial guard on the tabletop should only be cadians. No krieg. No catachans. The entire plastic model should just be these guys.An army being a hodge-podge of 3-5 regiments is fuck ugly.
>>98392738NoBecause I was already kitbashing them from wood elves, cold ones and shining spears anyway which is basically the same thing.
Bros I fucking love sternguard because veterans with super bolters is badassWhat detachment makes the most of them and how can I run lots of them in a list
>>98392732I think any of the traitor legions are super weak armies but only if you reduce them to the individual level because World Eaters, Emperor's Children and Night Lords can be curbstomped easy under the context of factions having shit available to them without infighting involved. However, if we start talking about the Black Legion in this context, having "all of its resources" implies the BL is doing Horus Heresy 2.0 by having all traitor legions (and their primarchs) united in one big black crusade
>always thought that models from the corsairs like the assassin, felarch or the psyker could just be generic assassin, felarch and psyker models>GW didn't do this and instead foisted named characters like kharseth and yriel to serve the psyker and leader roles (you can get around yriel by kitbashing your own corsair prince but kharseth is the only corsair psyker option)>looking at exodites>......>GW quite literally made it possible to play a 'whole exodite army' by allowing characters like the Stonesinger to take the place a Warlock or Kharseth would in the craftworlder or corsair armies>Kill Team agents are actually useful in 40k>technically don't even 'need' a wave 2 for Exodites because it's all right hereWhy didn't they just do this before
You can literally run exodites asCharacter models>Warlord: Clanblade >scout/assassin agent: Leystalker>psyker: StonesingerBattleline>Dragon Knights x6 with x6 for 36 of them racing across the fieldAnd wallahWell maybe not the most fleshed out army, you'd have to add in some other stuff to back them up obviously like a tank or a knight. But better than what the corsairs got on release.
>>98392738Not really. If anything the derpy raptors are starting to grow on me. I still think more standard dinos would've looked better but I'm starting to like the beakie boys
Both the knights and Leystalker can use 2 drakolithe tokensGW really jewed up by not releasing this with 6 models, like the Tomb World box had 10 deathwatch to make a full kill team but this is just 3 guys. They absolutely want people to buy multiple boxes.
>>98392778If anything, Cadians should not be so omni-present. I get the whole "OH BUT THE GUARD HAS TRILLIONS OF SOLDIER" schtick, but the Fall of Cadia should equate to the whole cadian army to suffer a humongous fucking loss that them being so overshilled is counter-intuitive.At least with Blood Angels making a comeback after Nids bit Dante's Baals can be justified with the primaris schtick, but Cadian regiments by this point are probably as rare as Space marines themselves.
I like orks ecks dee XD :DD le XD
>>98392792Other legions like thousand sons, death guard and word bearers are not fragmented though and could give the BL or the imperium a run for their money. Especially the Iron Warriors since they have large detachments of dark mech and traitor guard working for them. AL capabilities unknown.
>>98392819to clarify, im fine with multiple regiments in lore. Its the tabletop where you have like 4 or 5 different regiments represented at the company level i dont likebecause for the table we have>cadian>krieg>catachan>scions>attilans>tanith (which im counting because gaunts ghosts is an auto-include in most guard lists
>>98392778>An army being a hodge-podge of 3-5 regiments is fuck ugly. This is a bad opinion and instead ideally you'd either have generic army box+10 upgrade spures like they do for space marines, or just have Catachans be the infiltrators, Cadians the elites, Krieg for heavy weapons, Attilan for guys inexplicably on horses, tallarn for guys inexplicably on cavalry, Steel Legion tanks etc.
>>98392819Honestly it would've been the perfect time to make Cadian Vets a specialist troop and RETVRN to the old Guard armor
>>98392825Word Bearers could absolutely do a lot of shit, given how they're the richest legion in terms of resources, and they're also the most kindred with chaos so chaos daemons galore will be involved with the WB's.Alpha Legion at full power is hilarious to think about though
>>98392828I think that problem stems from the guard range having inconsistent quality, there's some good IG shit, but then you look at catachan's models and yeough.Maybe all guard regiments could be expanded to have more shit so you can go full catachan or full krieg or full steel legion, yadda yadda you get the picture, but IG is probably one of the armies that gives GW a concussion to even think about.
>>98392824BAZED :DD XDD
>>98392778An army being a hodge-podge of 3-5 regiments IS fuck ugly, but you've drawn the wrong conclusions. The solution isn't to make a specific datasheet for every fucking regiment, or to squat regiments or their models, but simply to fucking give the Guard regular ass infantry squads back so they can be mono-regiment again.
>>98392843The Guard and the Eldar and the Orks and the Space marines all share in common that Large Ranges aren't worth buying in their entirety. Some tanks, your regiment of choice, sentinels, artillery, some rare commemorative models etc. and you've got a good thing going. Catachans cadians krig, the crazy guy running attilian cavalry, someone with M2O Steel legion or vostroyans etc. no reason to collect them all with some of the models being stinkers and ugly/unappealingFUCK you GW for forcing Snaggas in the exodites box.
>>98392828I have trouble caring about this when we have like 10 different flavors of marine that each gets more attention than all of those regiments combined
>>98392832I'll be honest, I genuinely forgot the AL exist because they are pretty irrelevant compared to every other traitor legion. What do they even do in the current setting? Sabotage imperial worlds? Literally everyone does that.
>based snaggas dabbing on the eldarfagsYou love to see it
I know it won't happen but it would be lovely and funny to see Blood Bowl 40k, if only for the absurdity of Tyranids whose biomass is specialized for god damn American Football
I don't really know how /yourguys/ are done for each army; for CSM, how do you justify /yourguys/ instead of being part of a legion? How do you justify "oh, my guys have Thousand Sons rules, but aren't Thousand Sons, they have their own color scheme or whatever?"
>>98392861yeah if marines were like guard then it would be>ultramarines intercessor squads>blood angels assault squad>imperial fists devastor squadand so on
Let Chaos Idols take this thread!
>>98392870>how do I justify the scheming, treacherous warlocks who worship the god of scheming treachery having splinter sects???Gee, it really is a fucking mystery. And if you can't figure it out on your own, there's plenty of examples in the tsons codex
Gents I might find myself stuck with the Armageddon marines. What should I paint them as if I do?>Crimson Fists>Marines Malevolent >Drop the pretext and paint them as an Aspect host. Dire Avengers as Intercessors, Vanvets as Warp Spiders, Eradicators as Fire Dragons (I'll find some melta bits) etc.
>>98392866>What do they even do in the current setting? You want my spicy take? They justtify the narrative behind loyalist vs loyalist battles happening. Like all loyalist chapters are very aware of Guilliman's return and the whole indomitus crusade, way too far for having Primaris Marines in the narrative of the Badab War work, how do you justify Little Timmy playing Ultramarines against Old Timothy's Blood Angels? Just say its Alpha legion.Which gives the AL equal parts of being omnipresent that if they all had an unified goal and don't infight, they'd be bigger than the Black Legion, and equal parts bullshit because even if the AL is unified, you'd still have to toss a coin between them being loyalist or traitor>inb4 what if renegade that trolls and fucks both sidesthey already do that, hydra dominatus
>>98392631Still doing mine. I gotta finish the armor quickly so I have enough time to do the banners proper
>>98392885Unfortunately I don't work for GW

>>98392778Isn’t the cadian flak armor the standard pattern of flak armor across the imperium as GW’s justification to not have to make as many different extra guard stuff as marines get?

>>98392933Always need 1 C'tan
>>98392798To be fair, there are plenty of void dreamers in the lore. Kharseth is just the one for the Eldritch Raiders. I do wish there were explicit generic options for named characters, though.
Given all the horror stories I’ve heard (and somewhat experienced) around Orks, I’m surprised they came out as one of the slight winners of this balance update
>>98392948Nothing beats their blue/grey urban camo with the red shoulder pad
>>98392964It's generally believed that GW purposefully makes the starter box armies a bit overpowered to entice new players at the start of a new edition.
>>98392964Wasn't people's main issue with Orks that their shooting phase took hours to end because of how many rerolls everything had? Not even winning, just shooting for the love of the game.

>>98393006Pretty sure they're a modernized take on the necromundian spiders, but I could be wrong
>>98392985They are. Thats how they looked back in 3rd ed.
Multiple guard models is fine. in fact, there should be more of them, like armageddon, vostroyan, mordian, savlar, Fusiliers, etc. And they should all have a unique special rule that is thematic, like Mordians get +1 to hit with las weapons if their bases are arranged in perfect formation for example. But what also should happen is incentives to not mix. Like if your army is only one regiment, then your officers get +1 Order per turn or something, to represent these are units that know how to work together instead of being a disparate hodgepodge that have different culture and would thus not communicate perfectly. or something. But make it a benefit for not mixing, instead of just making it illegal to mix, or punishment for mixing. Incentives are more fun for the player, but they can also ignore them for some reason (like right now there's already reason to mix and still would be even if there's incentive not to).
>>98393035blow your brains out NPC
>>98392959but the way they've set it up is that the KT agents form generic characters for the exodites, and then you can add more dragon knights to the equation. Presumably there would be later releases like exodite bastiladon with d-cannon mounted on it, or exodite pteradons with riders with shuriken rifles and a bright stallion centerpiece, but the corsairs still feel like they're 'missing' bits because you have to take kharseth and say "this is barseth, my original character" instead of just having a generic Soul Weaver acting as overall psyker. They did the thing I wish they had done before with Agents for the corsairs, but for the exodites, and I see this a lot where I'm like "they update stuff digitally so how hard would it actually be to just announce an addendum here to fix this missing thing.Like how lost and the damned could literally just be a detachment of 'damned'+'lost' imperial guard tanks the way brood brothers is, or gue'vesa, or any number of things. Addending the rules or adding detachments is the easy part, they don't have to make a new model to do this- just expand playability for models that already exist.
>>98392975What edition? In 8/9th maybe because of Deathskulls
>>98393035>include an option but actively disincentivize itThat's fucking retarded. It should be a tradeoff rather that a flat bonus. Something like mixed regiments get access to more strategems (representing the mixed force bring joint tactics to the battle) but mono-regiment armies get bonuses to battleshock (representing stronger morale and coordination due to a singular culture and command structure). Make both options fun instead of acting like you have a grudge against one style of play.
>>98393048>>include an option but actively disincentivize itisn't that just what pointed wargear was
>>98393035yeah.same with marine chapters. let them work together, but if they do, they lose something.
guardfags getting uppity again, huh
When is 40k Classic coming out. With the increasing number of retro 40k channels popping up you know GW has to try to cash in eventually
> all these points changes for Eldar> wind riders go up> warlock sky runners go upThe price we must pay for sins of Reconnaisance I guess. Can't complain though. Hoping to see an Autarch Skyrunner refresh this edition. Shining Spears are lonely without a leader.
>>98393054No, that's explicitly what a tradeoff looks like (more powerful/specialized option = higher point cost). You could argue that mixed-regiments are inherently so much more powerful than mono-regiments that mono-regiments need a bonus or mixed regiments need a drawback to bring the two in line, but that's a completely different mindset than "GW should include this option but then punish you for taking it because I don't like the way it looks"
>>98393035It's really strange that someone repeated what you said, that you should use an incentive system and not a punishment system, but said it in a way that pretended to disagree and even called you retarded. I will never understand some of the blatant mental illness that is pervasive here.
are Dark Angels still considered the gay chapter?
>>98393097well they're named after a gay poet's poem about being gay, so sort of yeah. wolves are pretty gay too with all the yiff stuff, they would be ok if that was toned down.

>>98393149Aren't the Tau usually more supported by fascists anyways? You usually see the commies tend to like the Guard more cause it's the 'common man' taking the fight to the enemy with overwhelming numbers whereas the Tau are more that 'elite efficient force that makes the trains run on time and performs drills a lot'.

>>98392933Still wondering
Why is gw delaying the release of custodes box?
>>98392566>>98392572The original Imperials that used the a(Chassis)b(Role) numerical designations are no longer the same Imperials making the XV26 designation. The new Imperials identifying the XV26 suits went "Those blueberry slitheads are running some new stealth suit what do I put down in the report?""I don't know man just put down XV26 and push it through so they can publish it to sectorial command. That way the boots on the ground don't start thinking they're being killed by ghosts and summon a demon or someshit."T'au proper refer to battlesuits as Hex'er'vre which is where Imperials picked up the XV designation from. James has helped clarify this some by starting to drop the designations in rules simply referring to the unit as "Stealth Battlesuits". The world building reflects the setting so that the niggling bits falling apart makes sense in the broader unreliable narrator interpretation of the media property.

I'm confused on the Catechism of Divine Penitence for Sisters. I know it lets you attach a Cannoness or Palatine to Repentia and they also get the penitent keyword, but if you attach them to, say, Battle Sisters, do they still get the penitent keyword, and do the Battle Sisters get it?

It's fucking Custodes, what do you want me to tell him? He's just gonna crash into the enemy with his armywide 2+/4++ and either win by virtue of being unkillable while shitting out a million attacks that hit and wound on 2s, or he's gonna get outmaneuvered/fail enough 4++s and lose.

>>98393463Directionally, I think everything looks pretty good. There's a couple of weird unnecessary point changes, but nothing I think is too disruptive. The changes to some of the dispositions on detachment's I think is just a Band-Aid on a problem that can't really be fixed until more factions get codexes though. There's just not enough 1 DP detachments for most armies to get any kind of reasonable variety in list building, and locking some armies into or out of certain dispositions only reduces that variety of options even further.
>>98393590Can't fault you for that.I just dislike them because they're sorta baby tier to play also.Their jetbikes with lances is very cool tough.>>98393586Eh... I don't think this changes anything, except 4-5 Baneblade lists are gonna start appearing, I don't think that's good for us or the game in general.Mech Guard in theory got a big buff, but I don't think Mech works due to the maps, not their costs. Yarrick and Banes going down is silly, they're like the only units that was good. That being said, it being way harder to stack -2 to hit is a MEGA buff to us, so maybe we're back due to that.
If a unit is battleshocked, for example via the tyranid army rule, and an ability causes it to return to reserves, like space marine scouts or baharroth, it's un-shocked when it returns to the table later on, right?

>>98393605The core rules don't say you remove battle-shock when you pick up a unit, and page 68 of the core pdf says>a unit that was battle-shocked when removed from the battlefield would still be battle-shocked if it makes an ingress move in the same turn.

And Guard make for a good straightman to make you realize how terrifying a cartoon villain can be when he's the only one running on cartoon logic. Really it's the space marines who feel stuck in their own little world away from the rest of the setting. Which is why I guess GW wanks off chaos so much, because soace marines would feel out of place without chaos to drag everything down to their level. Hell, we have direct evidence of this with Pariah Nexus:>neurons and admech are deploying their most profane doomsday weapons on each other >its a classic mad scientist vs mad scientist showdown full of destructive hijinks>but whoops! everyone's having too much fun so Chaos has to shoehorn themselves into the plot and bog everything down by being the fun police

Had my first game of 11th Tuesday. Played against a pretty chill Ultramarine player using my Sister's. Was pretty much tabled in 4th turn but that was entirely my own fault. What I found was that Recon is pretty great, Celestine is useless at 150 points and her 4+FNP doesn't work with how wounds are allocated now and I failed so many battle shock tests that I might start using miracle dice on those tests more often. I'm glad I got to stack the -1 to hit strat with my tanks in cover a for 1 game before that was nerfed yesterday. Overall it was a really fun game, I just need to not be such a pussy with Vahl and the paragon unit and actually put them in places where they can do some real damage. How's everyone else's games going lately?
>>98393120>>98393123thanks! I’m glad to hear it looks good >how to make camo like that?here’s the back for a better shot, but I just randomly painted stripes, and then put some L shapes, and blobs to spice it up. I’m not sure if it applies to you, but when I started, I was trying to make it look like a zebra with clearly segmented stripes, but then I realized camo is meant to merge together to make it look like a mess, so I let them overlap.

Nigga also fucked up with his terminators and they were stalled into surrender by my hearthguard. Hekatons reign supreme, its cool when army rule actually does something now
>>98393939>her 4+FNP doesn't work with how wounds are allocated nowwhy not?
>>98393939still havent played a game of 11th yet. im planning on visiting a friend who hasnt played in probably close to 2 decades at this point who has just started collecting again so ill at least be able to play a game or two
>>98393945I think it happened to all the micro factions GW introduced around that time. They just don't want to go that way anymore with their overall faction design and just give them continued minor support out of obligation at this point. Tempestus Scions have at least gotten more models and some pretty damn good dedicated rules in the last edition, which is more than some smaller side-factions got.
Are you guys ready for OC3 intercessors?
>>98393958Its not just that. scion squads dropping with a command squad and all their rules punch well above their weight class so GW keeps punching them with nerfs. a 10 man squad almost cost as much as a riptide

>>98393641You take battleshock even while in reserve. This is also true if the unit is put into reserve but is at half-strength, it still takes a battleshock even when off the board (this is a buff when compared to 10th, where it would have had to take the battleshock when arriving from reserves, meaning you could get fucked after placing the models, but now you know if they're battleshocked or not ahead of time).

>>98393950NTA but presumably the opponent precisioned the Gemina first which turns the ability off.Celestine in general is incompaitible with the new heal rules since its technically possible to precision her out of a squad and then when she resurrects she can't bring back her Gemina because she has a starting strength of 1.

>>98393950Bodyguards always takes failed saves first (can't voluntarily put them on characters), so even if it's just Celestine and a Geminae left, you aren't allowed to put wounds on Celestine before the Geminae, thus can't use her 4+ fnp unless the opponent uses precision, because the Geminae will always be gone by the time you reach Celestine. You COULD however run her as a solo piece with just her two bitches and have her take wounds first, as she could be the first damage group then. Honestly not necessarily a terrible way to run her, I think, she's kind of fucking tanky with the 4+ fnp, even if you don't get to abuse allocation shenanigans and won't get to bring back Geminae because you intend Celestine to take the hits.>>98394058Celestine's own resurrection doesn't set her SS to 1, and you can't use the Divine Intervention strat on her anyway. Facts about Total War 40k!New Armageddon Steel Legion will 1st be added to the game and if they are liked by the community GW will release the army (like Cathay for TOW) or if they aren't well received GW will delay the release to work on them longer (like nu-Kislev).There’s a good chance the guys at CA will ask GW to flesh-out/develop some factions for them, ones that are currently underdeveloped, to populate the campaign map (just like they did with Kislev and Cathay for TWW3), Traitor Guard and Dark Mechanicus are strong candidates.
>>98395140lmao fuck off with this embarrassing delusion /v/ermin

>>98395251>It's literally the TWW3 / TOW pattern.schizophrenics addicted to patterns when there's no actual correlation
>>98395251Kislevfags must be the most delusional cretins in all of Warhammer bar maybe Edoxitefags
>>98395240So what happens if the thing that humanity worships finally gets off the throne?
>>98395262definitely nothing interesting, considering how dogshit GWs writing has been in the past decade
Tau are the good guys of the warhammer universe everyone else is somewhat evil
>>98395269Yeah but they aren't humans so therefore they're bad. Also they don't even have tits. I'd be fine with alien overlords with nice tits but since they don't have any, they're evil and need to be genocided.
>>98395260You may call it GW - CA "special relationship" if the word "pattern" scares you.>The Baddest Bad Moon is coming to Warhammer 40,000 AND Total Warhttps://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/5vutonxu/the-baddest-bad-moon-is-coming-to-warhammer-40000-and-total-war/
>>98395229Nah, he's fine. Just being a lazy bastard is all.
>>98395269Tau are the friendly cult that lets you judge everyone else as savages as it's too new to have blown itself up yet. No shock they're really popular in the US and not anywhere else.
>>98394419Does this mean nobody here is a true 40k primary? Even with models?I know you joke but someone might take that nerd hierarchy seriously.
>>98395297Nazdreg is gay.
>>98395306>tau are popular in the United States Is there a reliable chart showing the most popular 40k armies per country? I bet it will mostly be marines.
>>98395269Wrong we just got an article about the actual good guys
>>98395297This was a promotion of convenience and you'd be a fool to extrapolate it
>>98395251What the fuck would there be to "test" with the steel legion? We already know what they look like.
>>98395262the emperor gets a model but it's a forgeworld $1000 sculpt and the equivalent of a warlord titan
>>98395329It’s marketability
>>98395331I mean if it’s the Emperor it shouldn’t be statted at all
With the new points changes I'm able to run this list which makes me happy. It's 2k exactly. Wraithknights got slightly cheaper which makes me happy since it's such a cool model.https://www.newrecruit.eu/app/list/t9d15
>>98395261You mean those people who just got cool new models and now have four playable units that they didn't have a month ago?
>>98395313We had a survey here one time that showed what armies everyone collected and what country everyone came from. I think it only had like 300 responders though. Let me see if I can dig it up.
>>98395267>>98395303>>98395331Do you Anon's want to see the Golden Throne be done justice? To be seen properly seen with the horror its been described.
The emperor will die and be reborn as the chaos god of order and Terra will shatter creating warhammer 50k
>>98395400>CHAOS god of ORDERuh
>>98395372All you got is a shitty kill team with dinos that look worse than anything aos has, pipe down.
>>98395422They look pretty cool and kill team is fun
>>98395384Now this is based (and redpilled).
>>98395411It was foreshadowed in the Horus heresy
Remember when almost every daemon engine had exactly 4+ ws/bs
>>98394302>one fail swoop
>>98395375>>98395313Here it is
I think the votann and admech robots both look pretty cool. I wish votann didn't take up the DAOT tech faction slot so we could get a cool army of robots
>>98395384Meh, I always preferred pic related. It's cooler and fits better.
>>98395422trying too hard guardfag
>>98395441Only thing foreshadowed was that Emperor specifically outright refused godhood and abhors it.He refused to become the Dark King, and based on the conversation he had with Guilliman he is still entirely bound in Real Space.Emperor isn't a god and never was and refuses to become one because he knows that him becoming a god is a terrible fucking fate, not just for him, but for humanity as a whole.
>>98395262the emperor becomes the fifth chaos god, terra falls under demonic forces, and the chaos rift under the throne expands either to the size of another eye of terror or to engulf the whole galaxy because the galaxy has been so fucked up by other rifts alreadythen the dominion of the chaos emperor begins with everyone burning in eternal enslavement under his iron grip, or getting procedurally enslaved by his armies of the damnedit's not a good ending
>>98395479>>98395384
I honestly prefer the books interpretation, there's a big fake corpse for pilgrims, but the real emperor is a series of cell cultures within the great alien incomprehensible machinery
Guilliman said it’s a good thing they worship the emperor now
>>98395530I THINK GUILLIMAN SUCKS
>>98393939Sisters is also just a shit army in general. Meltaguns suck dick at killing vehicles since 10th and flamers are kind of a meme because random D6 attacks so their infantry are fucking terrible. 100 points for 10 man squads and you can't even take 20 man squads to buff them further with a hospitalier or palatines increased saves.>>98394058>>98394159The Gemina are actually part of her unit and are not bodyguards so they can always be brought back and you can always choose to allocate wounds to celestine when being targeted because again same unit not a bodyguard.
The emperor isn't real and Gulliman is a Mechanicus plot.
>>98393799This was the majority /tg/ opinion back when this board was good btw. /tg/ still loves capeshit characters as long as they aren't marines (Ciaphas Cain, Yarrick).
>>98395530Yeah, but it's not a good sign when the space elves admit that humanity is channeling power to a being that isn't naturally divine. Combined with humanity's corruption, I don't think it's good if the God Emperor is capable of action and observation through its power. All it takes is a powerful vessel to manifest something into it, right? That's why we had that dark king entity temporarily existing in reality.
>>98395558>flamers are kind of a meme because random D6 attacksThey're changing to 3+blast now.
>>98395558>you can always choose to allocate wounds to celestine when being targetedYou are explicitly not allowed to do this. Characters always go last unless your opponent has precision and chooses their allocation group to go first.
>>98395571yes but the Dark King was rejected by the Emperor, whatever he has become in the last 10000 years isn't the same.
>>98395592The next time it won't be up to him to reject the coming of the God
>>98394089it might be a boring utility piece but at least he looks kinda cool so i don't mind him, might get 500 worlds batallion for another set I think
At 40 points now, is the crusade ancient really still that bad? He's about a sword bro and a half worth of attacks for the cost of about a sword bro and a half, and the fight on death and extra oc on kill are basically just gravy after that. Plus support means he can basically go in any squad.
>>98395505nah thats retarded
>>98395578Well it seems you are infact correct because I mistakenly thought that the Gemina superior also shared the character keyword but the unit profile actually does only give it to celestineits clearly how its intended is that if you only have Celestine and the Gemina superior then you can allocate to her for the 4++ FNP but apparently GW is infact that retarded and have somehow given a unit a 4+++ FNP that they literally cannot use
They should bring back the rule about only allowing one captain equivalent per army. Perhaps make it per detachment.
>>98395663No that was gay and retarded and existed only for muh lore purposes but also then prevented a lot of lore accurate setups such as if you wanted to run 2 companies of space marines from a chapter in your army or say Ghazkull and like 3 warbosses
>>98395630The ability protects her from precision snipers, it's very simple.
>>98395609But why take sword bros when bladeguard now do everything they can and more?
>>98395677Because you can't attach BT specific leaders to them and they give better buffs than generic HQs
>>98395669Yeah but also the problem is shes basically worthless as an HQ if you run her FNP rules as written. So theres no point to even precision sniping her with or without her 4+ feel no pain, shes decent at killing infantry with her sword for 2x the cost of like a Marine Captain or Warboss that could do it the same and does nothing else besides coming back once while those 2 and other Captain equivalents also give a buff ontop of being a beatstick.
>>98395728That's a slaaneshy sister.
>>98395728>in praise of Emperor's kindnessSlav or Asian artist?
>>98395740Polish, I think.
>>98395753It's a jpg, how is it polished? It's not metal
>>98395728>purple sisterYESYES
>>98395623anon asked what happens, not what you wish happened
Even though the emergence of the Dark King was stalled by the Emperor's decision, the Ruinous Powers maintain that this Chaos God will emerge at some point as prophesied, given that time flows differently to Chaos, and the Dark King's servants and dominion already exist. Warhammer 50k foreshadowing… it’s not a matter if it happens but when.

>>98395857>>98395880They are an army with universal appeal and you cunts are probably xenosfags in denial. The really interesting bits are daemons above CSM. Black Templars and Admech being so high when they are usually bottom of other popularity polls.
>>98395924>black templars>bottom of popularity pollsthey're literally THE most popular marines, they're what somebody who doesn't know about 40k pictures when they hear 40k
>>98395924The sad thing is guardfags ACTUALLY believe this
>>98395935Yeah sorry, the human army soldier with a laser gun will always have 10,000 thousand x more appeal than your fucking gay torture dark space elves.
>>98395951I play marines retard, the ones that ACTUALLY have appealnobody who doesn't know about 40k is gonna look at a cadian and go WOW I WANNA BUY THOSEkeep seething you subhuman NPC
>>98395018You’ll use everything in the solo KT Box though. The little Dino tokens are part of the dragon jousters mechanics, not an extra character like the jump chaos lord.
