>The Ork's victory condition is capturing Armageddon, if they take it, they'll prove they're capable of defeating tens of thousands of Space Marines in battle and will have a staging point to launch invasions of the Sol system

Well, that's it for the time being. Undoubtedly there will be maybe 2 more releases sneaking in over the course of the edition, but otherwise this is it for the Ork refresh. I think it's fair to call it a win, though one or two sore points for me, the most recent being the Nobs - what I'm seeing is pointing to a far less modular and interesting kit than what it's replacing. It really seems to be literally just 5 torsos built the same way every time (previous kit had modular chests and shoulder pads), and then your choice between two loadouts - plain old choppa and kustom shoota, or the "snazzy" version of a big choppa, or double klaws, or whatever - shoulder pads *may* change between loadouts, see the double kustom shoota guy vs. his generic build, shoulder pads change there, but not for double klaw vs. generic build.

Another one being that we just didn't get any particularly exciting new toys? I don't need the range to bloat, don't get me wrong, but man I just want us to either get a real heavy duty tank or even a medium duty one.

He's right. Dark King is just a bad attempt at "grimdark" and it just comes off as pompous and retarded grimderp.
Doesn't help that Dark King has basically never been mentioned to even exist in the setting before it first introduced in End and the Death. And even in that book it might as well be irrelevant filler shit that doesn't need to exist because the entire "problem" gets solved in like 1-2 pages probably even in less time.

It's
>dumb
>never was set up
>never mentioned before
>pointless filler
>bad attempt at "grimdark" and instantly falls flat
>a non-issue that gets solved in the story just as fast it was introduced
It's like how Erda's character is fucking useless and pointless in Saturnine. She's walking, talking plot device whose only reason to exist is to vomit up inorganic exposition in form of her shitty backstory to Grammaticus (why is she even telling him all of it?), who is only visiting her because Gram thinks she might know a way to get inside the Palace (news flash: she doesn't, so visiting her was fucking pointless)

Both Saturnine and End and the Death 1-3 were all written by Abnett. So his shitty, pointless exposition that does nothing just is his style.
I don't understand how people see this guy as "peak" of 40k literature. If Abnett is the peak, then I fucking dread as to what rest, shittier writers, are like.

Outside of aesthetics, why play Chaos Marines over Loyalists? What do they have that is better than something the Loyalists get? Or nothing they have is better, which is why they're bitter.

The Tau. I get the whole "fascist counterpart to the Imperium" thing they're going for, but it doesn't really work when they're such a joke. It's like, you can make the Nazis threatening, you or can make the Nazis goofy, you have to pick a lane. The Tau are too small and incompetent to be threatening but too malicious and cruel to be played off for comedy so it doesn't really work.

Aesthetics is like 90% of why choose any army but sure:
You want to play the bad guys
Your local community is Imperium-heavy and choosing CSM offers a more narratively appropriate opponent
The idea of daemonic war machines and mutations is appealing
Dark Pacts and things like it are a fun mechanic
You are a buffoon who wanted to get into 40k with a lower model count army, not taking into account that each model demands twice or more as much time because of all the trim and bullshit, couldn't be me.

Traitor guard/chaos cult tourist from a few threads ago; is this an okay list for my first game? My friend is probably gonna be running his world eaters as usual.

995 points chaos cult:
dark apostle with amulet of tainted vigour(65+20)
dark commune with incendiary goad(90+25)
20 cultist mob(90)
champ with bolt pistol
traitor guardsmen squad(70)
sarge with chainsword, boltgun
1 grenade launcher, 1 sniper, 1 plasma
traitor guard
power weapon, boltgun on sarge
1 flamer, 1 gl, 1 plasma
another guard squad
power weapon, pistol
flamer, melta, plasma
2 16 model units of accursed cultists(195 each)
fellgor beastmen(60)
champ with plasma pistol
1 with great weapon, 1 with corrupt stave
3 nurglings(45)
>>
>>98486443
Loyalist marines have the ability to do individual things better than them but they get split up into mutually exclusive codex supplements. Black Templars have better melee, Blood Angels have better assault, Salamanders have better shooting, but CSM is like a jack of all trades, master of none of each of the chapter supplements.

I’d only run double-wide accursed cultists if you have a dark commune with em for that one turn advance and charge to make sure you get them in. I can’t tell what you’re attaching the second one too, guessing dark apostle? You could be fine making them a small unit. And try to hide as you move em up. This’d free up some points for at least one traitor enforcer for a guard unit, and maybe a beast of Nurgle to go with your nurglings

Because he asked.
>(news flash: she doesn't, so visiting her was fucking pointless)
It actually wasn't. Erda sends Leetu with John to help him save Earth (and by extension, humanity). I'm starting to think you haven't read any of these books.
>Both Saturnine and End and the Death 1-3 were all written by Abnett. So his shitty, pointless exposition that does nothing just is his style.
The Dark King plot was built up from Horus Rising and finally resolved in TEatD Part 2. That's what all his exposition since back then was for, to finally reveal that the Dark King was the Emperor all along, and then resolve that plot thread.

That list is nearly all "chaff" units
You need some bigger "damage dealer" units, preferably ones that also have more staying power than spamming t4 infantry. One blast weapon attack placed right could wipe 1/4 of your army as-is.
A loyalist guard roster has tanks for the role I'm describing, something like that.

>>
>>98486528
>then it is the lesser of all evils presented to us.
The entire point of the Imperium is that it didn't have to be as wretched as it is, but the systematic fuckups of everyone involved from an early age led to what it is now. We know what a 'less evil' Imperium looks like, it was the Great Crusade Imperium, which while still autocratic and feudalistic, and still forcing everyone that wasn't in a position of power to work bone-crushing labor shifts, was at least functional and gradually improving over time. The Mechanicum was becoming more open-minded to technological progress thanks to the Emperor's meddling, the Administratum and Senate were still competent with Malcador overseeing the bureaucracy, the military forces weren't fractured to avoid rebellion and it was still expanding rapidly throughout the galaxy. It was far from perfect, but it had a real chance of becoming a true utopia. Horus ruined everything, and even after the Heresy, it has only gotten worse and worse. So no, it is not the lesser of all evils, it's not even close to that. The only dimension in which Imperial life is superior to the alternatives is in survival. That's all the Imperium is good for now.
>>

>>98486504
yeah maybe I shouldve specified; both the commune and apostle go on the accursed. And from what Ive read and looked up accursed cultists are like the strongest units this detachment can play? So I thought I should have as much of them as possible. Combined with the enchancments and stratagems they can actually punch up tougher stuff, but yea Im fucked if they die.I was thinking of using an enforcer or 2 but they seem kinda bad and not worth the points idk. Definetly wanted a beast of nurgle but Im kinda starved for points, maybe I could ditch the mob or the beastmen(I pick em for the flavour)
>>98486518
I was under the impression chaff is how chaos cult is played. And for the blast issue I think the play is to shift the dmg from your accursed to your shitty mobs or guardsmen with the mortal thralls stratagem. And again; I would rather shower with napalm than play a normal guard army.

Im mostly iffy on the guardsmen weapon selection but it probably doesnt matter. I could make 1 accursed smaller and ditch the beastmen or squad, make 1 or 2 smaller mobs(2 10model mobs cost 10 more than 1 big one) and put some actual meat and damage but I rly dont wanna use marines for this list, maybe a tank or hero unit depending on the points

Two powerfisfs, two chainswords, and a lascannon for 90pts. Still unmatched value man. Plus you can stick a sorcerer on them and throw em in terrain, welcome to the cage match, because you’re gonna have to go in there to clear em off.

Yeah AC is the best imo, but you can really make em zoom with a dark commune between the advance and charge and the desperate pact from the detach rule. I’d just retool it to have 2 AC/DC bricks as the core.
>I was thinking of using an enforcer or 2 but they seem kinda bad and not worth the points idk.
They used to be cheap, but what happened is people were running them solo, sticking 2 of them in a noise marine rhino with Cypher as a little jump out gang, and they were so hard to kill for their point cost so they pumped it up in 11th. Only way to fix it now is if they gave us a traitor command squad and made the enforcer and ogryn a support duo. That way they could be cheap again.

I think I understand Pile In a little bit:
>Say I have Howling Banshees attacking a Rhino
>But nearby one of my Howling Banshees is a Chaos Marine
>If it's within 3 inches AND my Banshee is in coherency with the other Banshees in the unit, I can both melee the Rhino with my other Banshees and my 1 Banshee that's facing the Chaos Marine can attack the Marine instead of the Rhino
Did I understand that right? Where I can basically attack 2 enemy units with 1 unit as long as they're both within engagement range and in coherency?

Played a game against my guard friend today, 2k points combined arms + abhuman detail vs Creations of bile. Over all felt like very middling as far as a dice roles went but I enjoy hanging out with the guy so it evened out. I’m kinda starting understand why guard players have been bitching the past month because I don’t think I’ve had a game against guard where I was able to continue just pushing up the board practically unchallenged.

On a side note defilers even post nerfs feel good to run but not absurdly broken like previous, not quite an auto take anymore but close.
Ended 75 - 49 my favour, I felt quite bad about this one as guard is my friends main army and he seemed quite dejected about it.
>>
>>98486447
Honest answer: The value that 40k has had to me in the past is that you can show up to the game store for pickup games with whoever else shows up because it is the most played game, it requiring any prior arrangement completely invalidates that value. In practice since I skipped 10th edition I don't really do that anymore, and most of my wargaming is done by loose prior arrangement with the same group of people "I reserved a table for battletech at [Xstore] on [Yday], you coming?" or "We doing horus heresy on [Xday] at [Ystore]" etc, or are part of some kind of campaign system or league or whatever where everyone knows what they are doing and when. I almost certainly could arrange to play some older edition if I wanted to, but I don't really have enough preference for 40k in particular to do that over just playing something else.

>>
>>98486620
Any "chaff" army is built around a few big damage dealers among the horde while the horde units eat up enemy hits, give chip damage to all enemy units and slowly work forward for objectives/screening. Your traitor guard are still squishy and have no way to avoid enemy fire beyond either "just don't be the target" or "be out of range."
If your opponent has a Forgefiend, that's your entire horde gone in 1-2 attacks. Same goes for any unit of his with "torrent" weapons (flamers, etc).
You would struggle to kill that Forgefiend in response to it wiping your cultists; it's t10w12, your strongest weapon is s9ap-2 (guard grenade launchers) and you only have 2 of them (but they have very little staying power because they're in infantry units).
You should at the very least invest in a dedicated anti-vehicle/monster unit.
>>
>>98486651
>I’d just retool it to have 2 AC/DC bricks as the core
Id really want to, but then I dunno what to do with the apostle since only he can use the amulet of tainted valour, which seems too good not to use with AC. Being limited to only 2 AC and 2 enhancements in 1k really limits my choices imo
>>
>>98486699
Yes. So if you’re using an infantry chaff unit to prevent an important unit behind them from being charged, make sure that screen is spaced tight enough for models to be forced into base contact with them, unable to move through, and make sure the screen is more than 3 inches forward.

I think you are underestimating ACs with commune/apostle and the stratagems/enhancments the detachment has. From my understanding and the mathhammer examples I saw they rly can punch up, if they have to. I dont know how they would fare against a forgefiend but trying to tickle him with the guardsmen probably would never be the play. If he actually uses his turn to kill my 20-40 model blob of fodder thats a minus on his action economy while I got do obj-s and take over the map. Atleast thats how Ive seen it being played out in the miniscule amount of games I could find with this detachment.

>anti vehicle/monster unit I could pull thats not a marine?
Your own Forgefiend is the only thing that REALLY meets that request.

Yes, sometimes for example the new Raptors for chaos are a core unit and thus at 6 months ish get added from KT to 40k. The actual cycle is supposed to be 2-3 years when KT editions cycle. So everything will eventually make it into a 40k box but unless its a core unit it will be a long time. Like those exodites will probably take the full 3 years.

>>98486875
None of that is what I said
What I said is that "flooding the board and not letting him move" is only possible if your units don't get folded over every time they get attacked. Currently, your roster lacks a way to not get folded over every turn by blast/torrent weapons, or at the very least, lacks a way to keep that fodder on the table via killing/distracting the things that'd kill said fodder.

>Saying you need a forgefiend to win against a forgefiend sounds retarded at best
I'm not the one saying that, you are because you refuse to use any "Space Marine" part of the Chaos SPACE MARINE roster. That roster is reasonably (as per the name and total roster) intended by GW to include said Space Marines. You set the arbitrary limitation to not use them, the only person who is making it sound "retarded" is you trying to turn an apple into an orange so you can play traitor guard in a way that the game is just not meant to do as-of right now.

Nta but lore is very important to warhammer 40k whether we want to admit or not.
The problem is how anons always state their observations or interpretations as factual without even sourcing where they got their info from. I think many don’t want to cite the YouTubers they listen to.
Even if the lore source is false it is still better than just “trust me or be lorelet” stuff.

I can see Malal as the minor chaos god of fear and misery being about inflicting the fear of being hunted and consumed by a more powerful predator and the misery of starving too death.

So Malals mortal worshippers are hunters and predators but are also as rabid, unpredictable and dangerous as a starving person so you get the culutral ideas of that kind of monster from within like the Wendigo/mournguls from fantasy or hungry ghosts from eastern folklore. Malals slaves are ambush predators who are absolutely desperate and kind of mad and instabile who spread hunger like a disease.

How are a series of stacked metal cake bake boxes that come with lids in a door dash delivery bag for a diy mini transport bag?

I just think that cannbalism could be the 'primal' emotional elemnt of Malal that isn't covered by the big four. Malal as the 'outer' chaos god like Sithis in TES has been given to Belakor who also has the shadow and darkness demon thing going on. Fear of starving too death is pronounced its one of the four horsemen in christian thought. So the chaos god of that fear embodying that conclusion of people turning their family and friends as being nothing but a food source would suit a chaos god very well.
>ES Daedric Prince Namira could be a good inspiration
>all creatures who feed on rotten flesh are her spies.
>ritual murder and cannibalism to honor Namira
>followers tend to congregate in dark or filthy places, reveling in their misery and the darkness.
Kino. Power goes out in some forgotten part of an underhive and thats how a cult of not!Malal emerges, his rites can only be done in complete blackness in squalor and filth of his followers who are more like maggots than men

The point is Admech get to monopolize any actual tech advancements for themselves and kneecapping anyone that isn't loyal to the Mechanicus that tries to innovate ensures that. Same reason the navigator houses will send assassins to kill anyone that finds some way to navigate the warp without them. Most important factions in the Imperium would rather fuck up the rest of the Imperium then lose their comfy positions.

The thing with older pose-able models is that to me at least, GW still sculpted the models to be more representative and game-piece like than literal scale model, which went well with the squat proportions. That's why while I appreciate the detail and more natural poses of modern models, they don't have the charm of the older ones.

No particular reason, I put little spots of color on my guys to give them a bit of individual flair. /mydudes/ are a sub-set of Black Legion who are the most bitter lost cause Horus/Abaddon loyalists you can imagine, several of them are actual veterans of the Heresy and a piece of their armor, usually the right pauldron, is kept in the Sons of Horus colors to show it. I take inspiration from the yellows and reds used in second edition era color schemes to prevent them from looking like smudges of black and dirty metals.
>>
>>98487453
Can we see your models?

I got the new campaign deck and there's cool stuff in there. narrative play is not dead. they have a lot of entries about how to set up different depending on which battle in the sequence it is, and the players switch off with dispositions, and it has its own terrain setups and objectives and stuff.

I think I might set up a demo game and do some of these and see how it is. As soon as my terrain comes in.

What the firstborn retard doesn't understand with the new kits is that they do not have the armour variations like the tacs do. The poses for the tac box has always been shit, and its why the primaris kits with armour variation get the most amount of praise lately.

The brow angle makes it look less "cartoonish"
The brow going forward and the grill angle makes it look less "flat" (which also has an affect on looking "cartoonish")
Those are the most obvious changes.
At least that's how I see it; it fits alongside the "40k is SUPER SERIOUS, guys" push GW has slowly worked themselves into over the years.

I used to at my old job at an urgent care when the provider would call out. They'd keep me on just to route phone calls if someone had an emergency and was too stupid to call an actual hospital. Anyway, during the coof the office got absorbed into the nearby hospital to help people there and they just left me alone in that office for like 2 months so I got a lot of painting done while on the clock. Was pretty nice. One of the nurses came in around the second month to raid some of our medical supplies and saw my paint setup and the bitch ratted me out to management, so they quickly found more stuff for me to do. I ended up leaving there like a year later and my current job is too busy for me to actually do any hobbying on the clock.

tl;dr nurses are the worst.

Thinking about painting a slaaneshi chaos knight. I want to paint it like a cracked marble statue, and in the cracks and stretched between the joints is red raw muscle tissue. Maybe throw in some silver nmm here and there, maybe a thorn motif.

What knight chassis should I go for and are there any cool bits out there? Obviously the paint scheme demands a more “clean” look so I’m thinking it might be better to start from a loyalist kit?

>never happens, like with Tau?
It does happen with tau thoughbeit, just super duper rare. Back when the Codex: Daemonhunters existed there was an article I recall that showed how to make a daemon conversion out of various factions, as the army had a rule to replace one of your opp's HQ units with a prince and you'd get extra points for killing it. One of the examples was a daemon bursting from a crisis suit. The Fire Warrior video game's playable character was also tainted by khorne, hence why he was slaughtering his way through everything. All this to say that yes, there are probably definitely Chaos squats out there.

Correct, but not for the reasons you think.

>btw replace your model with my model
Who cares lmao
>also your army is chaos now
Not necessarily. It was just one model, not the whole army. Narratively, your inquisitor could be chasing after some prophecy of a daemon summoning and it just so happens to burst into realspace when they're fighting orks or whatever.

No the reason it was shit is that it was a thinly veiled attempt to get Daemonhunter players (all 3 of them) to buy extra models from factions they had no intent of playing.

the reason why they didn't get separate codexes for their "knights" is because the point of a separate codex is that you can buy it as supplement for one of many imperial/chaos armies, meanwhile only orks use stompas, only eldar use wraithknights and only tau use the stormsurge

As an Eldar fan Chaos Eldar could be fun. They should be absolutely batshit crazy and powerful. They should make Druhkari sweat and squirm. They should be psychic GODS (since they don't have to worry about their soul getting eaten, it's already pledged), like prefall Eldar. You could argue that demons of Slannesh are essentially what remains of the Eldar who helped create it but it would be cool to explore what would essentially be pre fall Eldar living on some crone world, showcasing their mastery over the material and immaterial, their hubris, arrogance, the most terrible example of the Eldar psyche manifest. Both alluring and repulsive to all other Eldar.

I really like how the SM antagonist in the new book Elemental Council views the Tau as essentially what mankind used to be, vital, strong, and idealistic, but not actually a real threat to the Imperium, yet. Unlike his battle brothers who just laughed at his assesment. By acknowledging that he also implies the Tau are actually a very serious threat, because of how much they can expand and grow under the radar, until it's too late to do anything about the problem.

Ork newfag again, priming them went very well, completely covered with black and details are still visible, it didn't pool and obscure them.
Never painted minis before, so would it be a better idea to start with boss Nobs since they're bigger or an Ork boy?

Planning to go with Ninjon's tip for making some look rusty, going with a watered down red/brown/black mix coat over entire mini, then doing think red + green ork flesh 1st coat into normal ork green + red wash to make skin look lively.
And when it comes to watering down paints, would you say it's better to just dip brush and mix or get a drop bottle for control?
>>
>>98488909
I have literally no idea what this is, so I'm guessing Fyreslayers/Khazalid Holds. Because I don't see anything 40k about it or the skull.
>>
>>98488954
>I'm done.
YOU'LL DO NOTHING
>>
>>98488958
While Nobz are easier since they are bigger, start with a Boy.
Because it's better for a Nob & other bigger characters to be painted well, they stick out more.
Just do thin coats so you can fix if you mess up easier.
And with Orks it's fine to have some sloppy paint on armor/clothes since they are dirty and use cobbled together junk.
Fine to do it with brush.
>>
>>98488947

Hmmm, when you put it that way, yes. Other, "normal" Eldar should feel extreme unease and fear around Chaos Eldar, but also curiosity, and jealousy. Chaos Eldar have a degree of false "freedom", the ability to be fully "themselves", fully Eldar, able to use all their powers, indulge their desires, something many Eldar of both sides know they cannot do if they want to keep their souls. Even Druhkari have this deep seated hatred of what they are forced to do to survive. To be "free" of that? It would certainly be tempting for some.
>>
>>98488958
>so would it be a better idea to start with boss Nobs since they're bigger or an Ork boy?
No, you should start with an ork boy because they are mooks and shouldn't stand out. Unit champions like Nobz are important game pieces that stand out and you'll also want to survive through out a game because they have special equipment. Because of those reasons you should want to spend a little extra time and effort on them.

>We will get traitor guard and dark mech eventually. It's a certainty.
Definitely but there shouldn't be since chaos isn't really a faction that is supposed to be strictly subdivided. If anything there should be kits to represent these non marine factions put together with the marines into a chaos megafaction with different optional army compositions if you want to focus on one end of the megafaction more than the others. That aside I personally really don't want that to happen since there are a limited amount of sprue slots in GWs factories because of bongistans environmental laws preventing them from making more factories which means that for every kit made for imperium but spiky someone else is losing a kit.

All marines should be in the one codex: astartes.
All chaos should be in the one codex: chaos.
All eldar should be in the one codex: eldar.
Hruds don't work as an army or squad, just add one of them as a cameo in a side game or a squad for some other character like the zoat and tarellian.
Slanni shouldn't be like the lizardmen but sci fi, they're slann without the skinks and saurians.

Infiltrators get battleline

Dreadnoughts or a heavy weapon squad type gets battleline or something
That's all the first founding rules you need.

Traitor guard is literally guard+traitors
Your post is like saying Brood Brothers is incomplete because they need more than the kill team and Patriarch, they need like a Genestealer tank and a Genestealer Jet.

They are literally guardsmen who are traitors, I honestly have no idea what you would possibly want if not the ability to -actually field guard vehicles like the baneblade, but a chaos baneblade-. Like that's literally what the Moebian VI is, or the Vraksians, or the Blood Pact, they don't deviate except worshiping chaos and shit.
>>
traitor guard would already exist if gw wasn't allergic to making rules for models they don't sell
>>
>>98489353
I know about that, but I also know it's a shit suggestion for a cheap compromise in a context without a dedicated model range for sci fi slann, so why in the flying fuck would you suggest just converting fantasy lizardmen when you are daydreaming about potential new releases and you should know that slanni weren't actually like that and would be better if they weren't just that?
>>
>>98489377
Because Titans are literally a separate army in both the Index Titanicus and on their website? And putting a titan with the knights is stupid you don't need that many big robots.

You didn't do that, you posted your own strawmen and then tried to argue that noone ever wanted exodites, putting you solidly as an example of the short sightedness you're projecting on others.

I also only said that exclusively to confirm that the guy shitting on orks was indeed just the usual whiny guardfag.

You can use the imperial guard codex or the chaos marines codex or the genestealer cult codex for rules that would aptly represent any reasonable selection of units you would want to convert or use or source from third parties.

okay, but titans would be unusable at anything below 2k, and would be maybe 14 datasheets total if we're being generous. titans are better as an allied unit for other armies to take in an apocolypse sized game, smaller titans are completely unnecessary since thats the role that knights fill. If you want secutarii that pushes titans into being an appocalypse supplement for the admech codex.

semantics. the fact is the GSC army isn't just brood brothers and a partriach and a kill team. its an army made up of over a dozen units and there's no reason traitor guard shouldn't or wouldn't be the same (and no I'm not just talking about leman russ variants).

>I'm not stating no one wanted exodites.
Yes, you did, you tried to conflate the idea that noone thought exodites would be coming with the idea that noone wanted exodites, only showing that you were the one who never wanted exodites and were projecting that on others, just like you're doing with other thoughts and behaviours.

Basically all they need at this point is access to IG vehicles and an upgrade sprue. They have enough infantry to form a solid foundation already and plenty of daemon engines from CSM can be ported over no problem. It's basically free money just sitting on the table that GW refuses to pick up.

I already have my own fat frogs with jetpacks and lasers, I don't need GW to do them, I'm just saying that if GW has to do something with slanni it shouldn't be a cheap port-over of the fantasy ones. It doesn't work, it looks ugly, it barely does with daemons and they have all the help in the world both in terms of bits and fluff to help it.
If something should be left in the realm of kitbashes and conversions, it's lower stuff like additional guard regiments or traitor guard or looted ork vehicles.
>>
>>98489473
If you enjoy titans and want to play them then more power to you, I just dont think they need to be their own codex. We already have issues with other armies (WE, EC, deldar, votann) having very few options without having to throw on yet another super niche codex with next to zero datasheets.

>>98489403
This is the problem. Every single color of marine always wants this "but MY guys have this unique thing that should be represented!" and it is what's lead to our current situation. The Bumicus Fisticus chapter does not need a special unit to represent their Anal Annihilators special unit, regular marines work just fine. Inner Circle Companions, Headtakers, Sanguinary Guard, etc should ALL just have been bladeguard veterans.
>>
>>98489541
in a year or two when titans officially release and you point out there was a moron on here arguing thread after thread they were never happening you'll be called a liar strawman and responsible for those posts.

>>
>>98489471
You have the purestrain profile for demons, the various hybrids for mutants, you have access to pretty much all of the relevant normal guard units and you can use the gsc goliath profile for a demon engine since its rockgrinder melee attack is good to represent a demon engine's body

but is it bad if it was a modification to pre-existing datasheet or given out as an enhancement in a detachment? Like TS get to have quasi sorcerer-warpsmith due to said enhancement

I'm not arguing its not happening, I'm arguing it doesn't need to happen when their are existing codices that are in need of more support than knights but big.

the greentext is your position. you defend the 'exodite aren't happening' posts first by saying they aren't happening. then when you're proven wrong you shift to 'I was an exodite fan all along!'
>>
>>98489553
I'll tell you what's going to happen:
in a year or two when the plastic titan happens, but not its independent codex or its independent infantry troops, you'll shift your goalpost and claim that your strawmen opponents were all exclusively about the plastic titan itself, not the codex or the titan infantry.
>>
>>98489584
>the greentext is your position
no, it isn't, I was indeed an exodite fan all along

the opposite of that greentext is your position though, you always claimed no-one ever wanted exodites, you're the one who was proven to be wrong

you'll try to deny this, but it slipped out of you and you cannot take it back now, you showed your hand
>>
>>98489609
Nope. I made no claims about exodites outside the greentext, which is your position. In that context it only applies to you.
I'm here taking the piss out of morons like you who think we're not getting something just because you have a chip on your shoulder about valrak or guard or whatever ruins your day. we are getting traitor guard and nothing you post will ever change that.

You cannot "replace" the heavy weapon platform in a Guardian Defender unit with the standalone unit named "Support Weapon Platform" (Vibrocannon, Shadow Weaver, and D-Cannon). You CAN ATTACH the Support Weapon Platform to a Guardian Defender unit, but in such case, the Support Weapon Platform goes down to toughness 3. Read the Support Weapon special rule on the unit. You still get the Brightlance, Starcannon, scatter laser, or Missile Launcher from the Guardian Defenders unit's heavy weapons platform.

>a transport
The only one in the entire roster is a Rhino. A Marine vehicle. Anon doesn't want those by his own self-imposed limitation.
And what is that transport even supposed to do? It makes his squishy infantry able to move faster and tanks hits for them, something I pointed out that he was lacking.
>and those jumppack marines
Anon is specifically not looking for ANY marine units.
He is intentionally gimping his own roster by not engaging with a massive portion of it, and is complaining about a lack of choices to make up for his own self-imposed limitation.

This is like saying that SoS and SoB are the same because their armor is similiar and both are women.
