That's the absolute best they can be via a conversion unless one has a few months per book to completely redo the formatting and layout from scratch. The original core book had fixed formatting that others had trouble converting with Calibre or existing Python scripts, so I had to create a completely new script to keep the text in the correct position in relation to the background images. The advanced book was a standard ebook without set page breaks, but it also had border boxes around much of the text which wrecked readability on an auto conversion, so I had to make quite a lot of different versions to get it as acceptable as it could be. Here are the original epubs if you'd like to see if they have better usability for your purposes:d/MxMc8gC3You are also welcome to try your hand at new conversions. If you come up with something better, make sure to share them here. Another thing you could try is obtaining physical copies and scan them yourself or send them to Carse.
