The woof hate here comes from just wanting to spite the resident ban evading space wolf autist who gets branded variations of the decal label.
The space wolves in Warhammer 40k are actually pretty great in Warhammer 40k.
They do hog the spotlight of the "noble savage" from the White Scars a lot. I think the White Scars legion and their successors does it better but white is notoriously hard to paint and probably still is today so I think most go for the space wolves instead for their noble savage space marines.

What green was used for that ork head? I like the shade and genuinely like the lime green orks GW has been doing as their official paint jobs. It makes their gear "visually pop" more.

Has anybody used the AK blood effects 3rd gen paint by chance?
How is it compared to the other options like AP's blood effects?
>>
>>98551303
See I wouldn't even call White Scars noble savages, they're just from a planet with a very non-Imperium culture that gets left alone by most everyone else, so it comes off as more alien. Woofs have a similar setup but they're such massive glory hounds that it brings too much attention from outsiders, so they're not nearly as isolated. Sang also asked Emps top leave his people unchanged so BA's are sort of similar in that regard, but it's fucking Sanguinius, no one dares to speak an ill word of the second most popular human to ever exist, so they get a pass too. Also.

Does anybody have STLs of those shotguns? Same goes for the shotgun from the ForgeWorld Cadian veterans with shotgun pack, please?

I just thought of the ogryns with twin linked heavy stubbers.
How likely would I get told "no" in casual games if I homebrewed regular ogryns to use the Krieg heavy stubber stats for their ripper guns. I'm not sure if heavy stubbers were good in 10th edition. And I don't know if they're good in 11th as of right now. same for their heavy flamer.
If I find ogryn STLs of them holding double barreled machine guns instead of not!Ripper guns?

Also are Krieg heavy weapons allowed to be used in Cadian flavored armies and vice versa? There's no autism rule that prevents that? I know homebrew of the ignoring kind can be done, but it is never a good feeling of having to homebrew to "fix" something if that makes sense.

In the OP? I thought those torrent links are dead.
I've never got into torrenting because it is highly likely that I'll be an idiot and get some serious malware on a Linux system so I choose not to torrent. I get a lot of crashes on my system so maybe the hardware is busted or the OS or both.

I'm surprised a working good successor program for that hasn't been made. Most just jump to Blender now after using SFM.
>also
Way to remind me that I missed the downloading period of the GMOD Warhammer 40k models that small group were keeping under wraps that Sodaz got.
I wish I could get the whole collection even the most private ones.
I hope Sodaz is doing well. Supposedly he got done very dirty by GW and the reeing of the Warhammer 40k autists for selling out. South Korea is pretty terrible so it is understandable why he jumped at the chance to put his animation skills to really good use.
I think the majority of those space marine GMOD/SFM models started off as modifications of the Space Marine Chess vidya game bought just to rip the assets.

How likely is GW going to DMCA me if I make some Warhammer 40k animations whether they are serious toned or just joke animations?

I actually like the way SFM and S2FM renders stuff when the rendering is done right and I'm ready to ask chatGPT and/or Gemini for advice on making Blender cycles replicate the rendering look because web searches

I still listen to the music made for Sodaz's Krieg animation. I like it.

Understandable. I hope you or I can find it to share the old OOP books.

Are Forge World's books like their red and black HH and Imperial Armour books considered "old lore" now?
I mean I wouldn't be surprised if the new blood in 40k consider 8th edition starters as "uncs" now which I think just means the same as "boomer."
>>

I see your point.
Maybe the paint scheme designer meant the red scar to be the scarring of the white color hence "white scars" because the white color got scarred?

>/40kg/ is a banning minefield because a permanent ban evading autist there keeps coming back resulting in ban waves.
>So the risk of getting a false one is too high so it is better just make 40k threads outside that general.

I like this place to discuss Warhammer 40k because the other places need usernames which means you're already on a minefield but that's just the tip of the ice berg of typical normienet autism.
But out of curiosity how are Bolter and Chainsword and Dakkadakka as Warhamemr 40k discussion forums in the current year? What are the average community members like there?
>>
>>98551510
I was giving my chub the scrub to Liz during Bioshock Infinite's heyday. I was witnessing either the birth of beginning of 3D lewds taking off.
Now I want to know how popular Warhammer 40k 3D lewds are. I think I've seen some Tau ones but they seem very rare.
SFM may be the "easiest' animation software to work with because of the loads of GMOD assets.
But I'm still serious when I say I wonder how likely GW will go after me if I make Warhammer 40k fan animations.
Was GW really shutting down Warhammer 40k fan animators? Proofs that they were or did they just hire a few like Richard Boylan and the Astartes fan animator and they had to take their animations down and that scared fan animators and future fan animators?
Richard Boylan's Helsreach animation is probably the longest Source Filmmaker "film" on the internet. If it counts as one.

>But out of curiosity how are Bolter and Chainsword and Dakkadakka as Warhamemr 40k discussion forums in the current year?
The former is milquetoast as fuck and confined to the age-old forum format for better and worse while the latter is THE hangout for faggots like Arch/Gamza but has a ton of good stuff beyond that like the paint comparison chart and photo database. Neither are definitively better/worse than each other but both miles ahead of this dump.
>>
>>98551534
>THE hangout for faggots like Arch/Gamza
How? I thought most of the social media sites would be having a culture similar to the popular places of say Reddit with toxic positivity.
How is Gamza doing anyways? He purged his miniature painting tutorials. One of them was pretty good and left "black shadows" instead of eyes which I thought was nice.
I find Arch funny because of how he puts on the fake accent and his opinions gives Warhammer 40k normies (and some of us) the shivers or even outright anger.
Same for that Marshall Bohemeond or however you spell it guy. Does he really make money getting into Warhammer 40k related fights on X?
None of them are my cup of tea, but I don't think it is right to silence them because speech related things. Paradox of Tolerance be damned.

It probably already has happened to me as I have to use the email captcha to use this place.
Ip is "temporarily blocked due to abuse" so something is tripping the system or someone in my ip range is being a naughty boy.

>you WILL eventually be collateral for a schizo playing cat and mouse with the mods
It probably already happened to me as my ip is "temporarily blocked due to abuse" or whatever the red block actually says. Someone on my ip is messing around with me or something with my router is tripping a system function for this site. I like this site because lack of username is liberating if that makes sense. Anonymity is a blessing even if abused by some.

Wolf hate is reddit, its an echo chamber of the same incorrect lore spouted over and over. You can hate factions, or chapters, it's such a diverse setting so it's bound to happen. Just wolf hate is beyond forced at this point.
Speaking as someone who thinks their lore is dogshit (first founding chapter moment). The overuse of wolf is not defendable but, that's fair game.

The Renegade marine's boltgun is pretty big. Like Primaris Bolt Rifle sized. Feels a little strange as I always thought boltguns were designed to be shorter for easier close quarters combat especially in spaces that would be more confining for space marines.

Has anybody tried those Wargames Atlantic glass nano files for hard plastic? I tried looking for glass cuticles and glass nail files with the nano part and never found any nano specific ones that would be lower than the WGA hobby markup price surprisingly. Which I found odd.
With that said.
How easy or hard is it to scrape away the chaos looking details for them to be utilized as regular firstborn marines anyways.

Aberrants in Rockgrinder, Metamorphs in the Truck for twin-linked AP-1 hand flamers. Rapid Ingress Abominant + Aberrants to take down big targets so they don't get shot on the way. I still use demolition charges on Acolytes, it's not effective as the damage output is extremely swingy and requires you to spend a CP to get in range but when it works it works. The 2nd unit of 5 man acolytes are there to harass, score me points, same with 2x5 genestealers.
Primus' Neophytes start in reserves, Benefictus starts on the table to have a gunline protecting the smaller guys in the middle. You can get them off the table via return to shadows to deploy them later to get sustained hits/ignores cover as you like. 5+ crit is now a bit conditional for it costs 2CP, but it came quite handy in my last game as I was targeting a big-ass Landraider.

Bolts are not simple jyrojets. They are two-stage: first a conventional propellant charge is used to give the bolt stopping power at short range, then a rocket engine ignites to give it velocity and accuracy at long range.

I know Inquisitors are supposed to be, well, Inquisition obviously, aka Spies and do stealthy investigating and shit. But their lack of a proper army doesn't make any sense. If the chaos cult or xenos infiltration or renegade psyker or whatever isn't big enough to warrant calling GK/SoB/Deathwatch and Inquisitors have to deal with it themselves they are supposed to just fix that shit with a handful of acolytes and maybe some Arbites? Across a whole ass planet? Bro just give us a Kill team of Inquisitorial Storm Troopers or Tempestus Scions at the very least. It's literally that simple. That's why they even exist in the lore. The molds can't be that expensive bro they are essentially just a different flavour of Guardsmen
>>

Does it have a pack of two that are cheaper than WGA and still get easy good smooth results when filing down details?
I know some of these glass files (preferably for gunpla) leave smooth almost glossy results. The WGA delivered smooth results but not glossy smooth results but maybe I'm using them wrong.

I think they have a function to check previous orders. I would love a link to the specific files you bought that I can use to replace my current files when they run out.
Or just buy and give the WGA files away if a buddy gets into miniatures. I'll debate on that if the WGA nano files really aren't that great.
Again I haven't used them enough and probably am not using them right.
And I haven't done much mouldline removal.
I have those glass files and then Tamiya's "basic files" for resin and metal models. That's it.

I know a Macdonald who's aunt got off a plane because the captain was a Campbell. Given that it's going to be obvious you're a tourist I don't think even the crotchety old men will care, they are more interested in your tourist bucks. The wargaming scene isn't as big as it is in England but it's probably better than what you'd find in America. I however would not bring my army with me because I know a guy who took a flight with his army to a tournament and they lost his entire Deathwing. They didn't even offer to pay him back.

I have heard that GW is popular in Japan specifically because they give you a place to play and hang out that isn't your shoebox apartment. Back before GW pulled out of my local mall I would go in every Thursday to find pickup games. Met all sorts of people doing that, some I even got to join my D&D campaigns.

Yeah I think it is for the best that I don't bring my army if I'm just going there for a vacation or something else. Not like I'm gonna stay for a while.
>but it's probably better than what you'd find in America
I'm not American. One could say even worse. A Leaf.
But I can understand the wargaming scene in Scotland being smaller than England to be honest. Wargaming is pretty big in the UK because GW is big and local sales are important to any company's PR I think.
Also I think wargaming just has deep roots in UK culture. I remember seeing a video of Peter Cushing painting minis.

I yearn for the day when the airplane business is horrifically and deservedly disrupted because of bullshit like this.

If you do go I highly recommend the distillery/brewery tours. IDK if you are much of a drinker. I did a brewery tour in Mexico for Dos Equis and the beer you can buy from their shop there had cocaine in it. I'm not exaggerating I've done cocaine and I know that there was cocaine in that beer. Fair enough anon.
I'll check Aliexpress/Amazon for fine glass nano files and glass cuticles.

I wonder what the grit for Tamiya's basic files are.

I am not much of a drinker but that hasn't stopped me from trying. I mostly like my booze to taste good so I took a liking for cocktails. The really sugary ones. If I want to get wasted I want it to taste good.
Anyways thank you so much.
Part of the reason I prefer busing to the local game store is so I can maybe bring some alcohol with me and not have to drive home.
Though I don't bring alcohol to the LGS because I fear being the reason for someone getting a drink and drive arrest or even being part of why someone dies.

Anon, I don't think you understand how Inquisitor works. Only the Emperor is above their authority. And only limpwristed amalathians like Eisenhorn care about under whose orders the fleet they requisitioned to put down a chaos cult was before.
Sure, there is some politicking behind the scenes, but that only comes into play later and at higher levels. When an inquisitor stands before you with a rosette in hand and orders you to do something, you don't go "well ackschually I am under orders of the planetary governor, and you would do well not to upset him, if you know what's good for you nyehhehheh" cause that gets you immediately executed for insubordination.

I'm confused with GW sitting on the fence when it comes to Daemons. They clearly don't see them as a real faction since they discontinued their Combat Patrol box, released no Codex for them in 10e and keep them in this weird limbo state where they support them with indexes but won't push them any further. Why won't GW just fully merge Daemons with their respective CSM Legions? It works great in AoS, everyone is saying that for years. Gods Legions' rosters are poor as fuck anyway, WEs are a joke. Without the full access to vanilla CSM units, Daemons would introduce some variety at least.

I also think they should be folded into the god specific books. Is there a specific reason why you can't just take them as allies? I just don't think they're viable as an independent army. I mean next to tournament players GW's ideal customer is a 12yo who's parents buy then whatever they want until their old enough to work their own job so maybe the reason they have been neglecting them is because they don't want a satanic panic esque reaction but that's probably thinking about it too hard.

I have seen miniatures with 1450 parts which means wargamers in general are into kits that take 12 weeks to assemble. GW is just getting way to expensive for me to justify buying any new models from them given that I'm lucky if I can get in 2 games per month. I can buy 48 beers for the price of a Dakkarig and get more enjoyment out of it. I am so glad I built my armies to 2000pts a decade ago.

I know you're talking about Garage Kit statues, but that's more of a comparison to FW releases. Let's compare plastic to plastic.

Back in the 80s when the plastic model industry really started to boom in Japan, it was much like every other country producing models at the time (Kits released in a single color, paint and glue required for assembly, and so on). The only difference is the paths companies like Bandai took compared to GW. What happened basically goes something like this
>Bandai starts producing a bunch of models for Gundam and a bunch of other anime, make lods of emone
>They invest money into their own production facilities so they don't need to worry about outsourcing (Much like GW)
>They see that they have an audience in both young adults that don't mind the paint/glue thing and children that do
>Start changing design philosophies, by the end of the 1980s they have the technology to print multiple colors on a single sprue
>The bubble bursts in 1990, quality drops for a few years but comes back around by the end of the 90s
>Through the 2000s and 2010s Bandai keeps trying to one-up themselves in terms of engineering leading to kits with far more posability than their predecessors, internal compatibility across multiple model ranges, better engineered part separation to decrease the amount of stickers necessary, multi-color parts already assembled on the sprue, internal inner frames at 1/144 scale, and more
Of course there are people that wish to paint their Bandai kits (myself included) but all of those engineering feats Bandai pulled off makes it even easier to paint since you don't need to do as much masking and can paint the parts individually.

Pic related shows how Bandai's engineering has changed over the last 46 years, meanwhile Games Workshop hasn't changed all that much asides from shifting from hand-made sculpts to digital ones and squishing as much shit into a single sprue as possible.

The new Primaris Rhino will be $80, all it's variants (Predator, Razorback, Castigator, etc) will be $100 or more.
The new Chimera that's going to come out alongside the Steel Legion models in 2 years will be $90
All the rest will just have their prices moved up to $70-80 without getting a refresh because GW thinks no one buys Xenos (and thinks everyone is a mindless consumer who WILL just buy their products at whatever price GW sets).
The alternative is tracking down a torrent containing 3d scans/bespoke close-enough models and buying a resin printer, which costs about as much as just buying an army at this point (depending on what army), even including the PPE and safety precautions. Or just going into a different tabletop game that has cheaper models.

Oil washes are actually very tricky to get right, most people I've seen on YT use the wrong colors and typically go too dark. Certain pigments stain a lot and just make the model look dirty. If I need a little brown in the wash I always make brown from red+green rather than use something like burnt umber, unless I really want that dirty look.

The point is that all those models in that image you're replying to cost under $20 to buy, meanwhile a Norn Emissary is like $120. Compared to a Gundam model that's actually around $120 and you still see far more engineering feats
>Fully posable inner frame and articulated finger joints
>Armor can slide out to expose
>LED Lighting for the monoeye and cockpit
>Deployable and articulated funnels on the back
>Pilot figures included in scale with the MS
>Weapon choices

Meanwhile with the Norn Emissary all you get is two build choices with the Assimilator and very limited posing options. Not to mention it's a fifth the amount of plastic for the same price (Norn Emissary box being ~330 grams vs the MG Sazabi Ver. Ka box being ~1500 grams)

Look, I get it. You clearly dislike the Gundam aesthetic. But that doesn't mean you can't accept that the average Gunpla kit has far more bang for your buck than a Games Workshop kit at the same price range.
>>
>>98552760

>>
>>98552750
They usually are already priced into the new price schedule. The published prices are already available on the public GW vendor site so you can see what their price will be after September 1st if you're really curious.
>>
>>98552760
I bet that guy still thinks that GW spends bazillion dollars on every mold they commission while HIPS casting got so cheap you can go to WGA, throw a few ks at them and got you own custom plastic kit. Even designing them got cheaper than it used to be during the hand-sculpting era. I'm quite sure that Norn Emissary mold was cheaper and faster to design and manufacture than Skaven Plague Monks 20 years ago.
>>
>>98552751
That also doesn't really work as a "combat" unit.
There's too many essential-to-its-function bits that are just entirely unarmored, and that's ignoring the pilot not wearing a helmet. Most of the mechanisms should be INSIDE of the armored panels.
>>
>>98552779
I expect the most expensive part of GW putting a new kit to market is tuning the injection for the mould purely because of opportunity cost. The space marine heroes show that GW can do much better sprues but the current design probably requires fewer iterations to produce acceptable casts.

Oils and enamels have been around in the tabletop hobby for quite a while (Grimdark Compendium has been around since 2016 and used the stuff from the start), but they seem to be showing up more frequently in online tutorials as people figure out that GW paints are actually pretty mediocre in comparison to the competition right now. On top of that, GW's official painting style doesn't really get you that great of an effort/result ratio compared to the freakishly smooth blends and shading you can get with a simple reductive pass over a slopped-on enamel wash, not even mentioning all the techniques brought in from the scale modelling hobby.
Really, GW is leaving money on the table not selling (or just rebranding) a line of oil paints and enamel washes, but the market is so competitive at this point that it's probably too late for them to get in at the price point they want.

>Massive Event happens in 3rd edition around like 2003 called The 13th Black Crusade. Comes with its own Codex and as well as introducing new models like Typhus and i want to see the Defiler but may be wrong about that it also added four event themed armies based largely on kitbashing. A new Imperial Guard army that was horde based, The Lost and the Damned made of kitbashed mutants, some ancient eldar black ops thing but its eldar who gives a fuck and the space wolves lost 13th company
>They had been trapped in the warp since the Horus Heresy because time is fucky in there. So even though they were still in their prime physically to the perspective of the 41st millenium astartes they were ancient figures right out of legends
>since they had no resupply options they had shifted ethos in the decades of on the move warfare becoming more like viking marauders. Pillaging and salvaging things including replacing bits of broken armour with traitor marine plate. So to kitbash the models you combined loyalist and traitor bits
>They also were called the 'cursed company' because they suffered most from the Space Wolves geneseed flaw "the curse of the wulfen", remember There are no Wolves on Fenris" after all and they must come from somewhere. So over time some of these astartes would degenerate into little more than beasts like the werewolves of ancient terran stories.
>But eventually with a shit ton of retcons and reworks in the 2010's they just said "eh forget that we rolled them into every company or something who cares".

Looking back it seemed they wanted to give them their own Deathwing/Ravenwing style company rather than a successor chapter for the event and while the players loved it there was always rumblings some Dark Angels fanboy on the team was super mad his special boys were losing their uniqueness and later squatted the idea but thats just hearsay.

Daytrading is objectively dumb. The shorter time limit you put on an investment the more likely you will lose, even if you're right about the value.

The LSE is a buy and hold market, a lot of companies paying strong dividends relative to their valuation. I know people in the US are under a shitload of restrictions keeping them tied to US exchanges, but for those of us with freedom it's not a bad place to find value.

Even completely throwing Gundam stuff out, Bandai's Star Wars kits were some of the best modelling experiences I've had. Something like $40 for a screen-accurate starfighter or $60 for a larger model with way more thought put into the part layout than you'd ever see from GW.
I built the Star Destroyer kit and think I needed to clean up like one sprue gate. All the rest and the mold lines are largely hidden by the model's construction.
>>
>>98552925
But they could be doing even more "right" by increasing supply via increasing production.
Increasing supply in the short-term would cause a (slight) decrease in price, but in 9 months to a year demand will increase due to your product being more available at a more reasonable price than before.
Two people buying a $30-40 box every other month is worth more than one guy buying a $70-80 box every 3.
The problem, as always, lies in competition. GW has a monopoly on "the brand" and so few people are willing to try competing games.

Wrong assumption. Several GW writers are on the record about how GW very rarely actively decanonizes something, the just pretend it never happened and do not mention it again. Like Malal, the BA civil war, etc
>>98552951
>i have zero memory of "warzone fenris"
Nobody can fault you, really. GW produces and forgets about these things all the time. Without PDF scanners and hoarders most of what they sell would be lost.

People mention EoT or Armaggedon because they were outliers not forgotten by GW. But they published tons more campaigns from 6th onwards that barely anyone remembers.

GW had a good market advantage since Citadel paints were stocked by basically every store that sold Warhammer and their paint lines were pretty good, especially their shades. Contrast paints were legitimately a game changer, but GW just kind of sat on their laurels and got out-skilled by even fucking Army Painter on that front.
Now you can find way better paint even in random LGSs from ProAcryl, Vallejo, and again, even fucking Army Painter (Fanatics). You'll get better pricing, coverage, and almost universally better bottle design than the shitty paint pots that GW clings to.
>>
>>98552943
>its not like you'd be achieving much by shooting it
Would shooting the brain in the head not do something about said Warp Field, since all the "redundancy brains" are scattered throughout the body and therefore not able to produce it to the same capacity? If the redundant brains are just as competent at making the Warp Field, then the one in the head that's exposed is pointless. It's a catch-22; either the brain in the head is redundant and shouldn't even be there because any soft internals being exposed is grounds that a fatal bleeding wound can be generated from, or it's essential for the Warp Field and should be armored.
>>
>>98552996
Probably because the Blackmane scheme was the original SW scheme from late RT/2e, and all the SWfags are so used to it GW doesn't want to fix it and potentially upset them.

Its the last of the old forge world resin so sometimes its soft like frozen butter sometimes its like boiled sweets, hard and brittle. You just need to wash it and scrub it with a cheap poundland/dollar store toothbrush then after its dry use a none expanding super glue to put it together. I use Locktite. Its as thing as water but bonds strong. Stuff like Gorilla Glue expands in foam and pushes the pieces apart and theres all this hard bubbly gack oozing out like the models got mold. After that it just primes and paints same as the rest.

Just remember locktite. Plastic glue uses chemical welding and will turn resin into green slop like that dude at the end of Robocop.

For the rogue doc is memory serves her whole body bar the arms and head is a single piece and the casting channels are on the bottom of both feet so theres very very little flash to deal with so its a great first resin to work with.

Battle-brothers make up the majority of the Chapter and are organized into packs of 5 to 10.

Big Brothers are the pack leaders—Marines possessing the experience needed to lead their brethren.

Alphas are the Chapter's veterans, warlords with centuries of battlefield experience.

The Alpha King is the Chapter Master and King of Corum; he is the Chapter's fiercest warrior.

Trivia:
> Terminator armor is reserved solely for the Alphas and the King; curiously, however, all Terminators in the Chapter wield dual power fists on the battlefield. These Marines have been observed running on all fours, a gait that grants them greater speed.

> The Chapter possesses stable gene-seed, though it carries minor flaws—such as enlarged canines and excessive body hair, particularly around the sideburns. Some "Sasquatches" exhibit two more significant mutations: completely dark sclerae and opposable toes.

> The Chapter is afflicted by a curse known as "Primal Rage," which drives battle-brothers into a frenzy of blind fury; Imperial Guard personnel have reported hearing Marines suffering from this curse scream the name "Horus."

Salmon is a little tough, maybe orange would be easier to paint instead. Orange and black are a nice combo and there's a lot of colours that'd compliment it. Plus, they could paint their terminators silver-black if they want them to resemble gorillas.

If you mean scale, that can be adjusted.
If you mean likeness, you generally won't find 1:1 recreations of GW models on stl stores, but they're floating around out there. Don't sleep on 3rd party unit adaptations, though. Some 3d print sculptors legitimately blow GW out of the water while keeping the models recognizable as part of GW factions. MEZGIKE, for example, does Ork models that fit right in visually next to GW Orks as well as a really cool line of deep sea-themed Death Guard/Chaos Marines.

with sekhetars counted as a 'vehicle', EC are now the only cult legion without a bespoke 'vehicle' that only they can use. And even though it mentions land raiders and rhinos with Sonic weaponry, the doom siren that comes in each chaos upgrade doesn't have rules. IT DOESN'T HAVE RULES.

I don't understand. In the past, the big sticking point was that a model or weapon upgrade didn't exist. But nowadays it feels like the models exist, but GW refuses to give them the rules necessary to use them.

Resin 3d printed models can look just as good as plastic kits, if not better since you can get away with very thin parts that wouldn't cast well if you tolerate a bit of setting experimentation. Just print at an appropriate layer height and you'll get excellent looking models with no resolution difference, especially after a primer coat.

Not just that, thanks to the federal reserve literally printing infinite money with no actual limits to it realistically. The US dollar is a fiat currency not backed by anything, only reason people believe the dollar has any value is because people, currently, happen to agree that it does.

Right is my vote. I like somewhat lighter Orks myself.

Try this method, anon. I yanked it from a Vince Venturella tutorial and it made batch-painting way more tolerable.
>Basecoat with red spray
>Zenithal drybrush with yellow ochre or khakhi
>Hit skin with green contrast-style paint of your choice
>Layer highlights if you want

>Experimenting with assorted skin tones for my Boyz
is there ork racism? do the lighter skins look down on the greener boyz? is there an orkkk?

Green is green. The orks are size queens, not racist, sadly.

I dunno if it's still canon lore in 40k, but in fantasy, the more greenskins fought, the darker and greener they became.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, wasn't a single choice poll - the mob will have (if I like how the rest of the scheme plays with the skin tones) all of these represented multiple times in varying ratios.

>>98554426
The way I think of it is variations would come more from diet or other factors unique to individuals affecting the content of the fungal spores in their blood supply. Otherwise, >>98554437

Tangentially related, >>98554447 this I believe is still canon but there's a few sticking points that confuse people. To start, freshly emerged Boyz are called "yellow" in the same colloquial sense that we call someone "green" to imply they are inexperienced or young, because as he says the skin tone of Orks gets greener and richer or darker the longer they live/more they fight, while a young Ork is more of a yellow-green. That being said, over in Fantasy land there are Black Orcs, who are generally depicted with a very dark green skin tone, however this is not the result of natural Ork growth but something they acquired from Chaos Dwarfs selectively breeding them for labor.
