I've never played with (or against) a clone deck before, are they fun or just kinda stupid?
>>98875289They're stupid. "four mana best creature on the field" is a good effect in a format where everyone is playing creatures that are over 4 mana.
>>98875295nice creature I'd like a land that does what it does
>>98875289It is almost always better to just play broken cards in your deck in the first place, than to bank your deck construction on your opponents having something good enough for you to copy instead. Clone decks relying on the opponents are often very inconsistent and swingy, and again very dependent on the other decks at the table. They're also really hard to keep track of even if you've got those gay whiteboard tokens, and especially if the guy writing on those whiteboard tokens has illegible handwriting. So, they can be kinda fun. I guess. If you're into that sort of thing.Clone decks focusing on cloning your own broken shit? Can be good. Can be boring win-more that gets super btfo to interaction.
Why isn't BANE a good clone commander? Is it because a good opponent would never let you cheat something into play or something?
>>98875300You can literally just have 1-2 targets of your own to clone have the rest of your deck be clones. > than to bank your deck construction on your opponents having something good enough for you to copy instead. It's the format where you stick a strong creature in your perma-8th card slot.
You ever notice how Magic was better when I was younger and had no responsibilitieshttps://youtu.be/8maFitp8YFQ
>>98875309>It's the format where you stick a strong creature in your perma-8th card slot.Unless it's an extremely generic value engine you're not going to be doing much with timmy's cum each time a creature with an odd cmc etbs under your control commander. And if you do happen to get clones of both his commander and the pieces he has out, that means that his engine is online already and you're jerking yourself off a turn or two behind.I will concede there's almost certainly going to be a target on the field worth copying most of the time in the game, sure. But even still I hardly ever run a clone effect as a fun-of in decks because I hate fun, and also just don't think it's that good overall.

>>98875392blue and white has aggro flyer strats
>>98875342Still hits other players harder because Exploration effects let the landfall player power through Winter Orb and similar effects. This is the general problem with MLD against landfall: they have the tools to recover, bypass, or endure the fuckery better than most decks, because MLD is tuned to be played against decks that don't sac and replay their lands 3+ times a turn. Actual landfall hate is stuff like Tunnel Ignus or Ankh of Mishra, that directly punishes the act of playing a land.>>98875349Notice how neither of those are MLD? You beat landfall by removing the support pieces. MLD hits everyone, which means its more likely to draw hate from the rest of the table, and can interfere with other players' ability to use removal against the landfall player.
there is NO strategy that is effective against landslop that isn't even more effective and oppressive against everyone else

>>98875403Okay.
>>98875401Good. Oppress everyone else out of the game entirely so you can focus your removal on the landfall player. That is the way. Retards look at stax and see red, just stax them harder and shoot the real threat.
best strat against landfall is insurrection. they will vomit more in power than they have in hp. the only difficulty is making sure they don't have counterspells (they will)

>everyone thinks my Tifa deck is landslop>it's actually Counterslop
>>98875383>How can I abuse my graveyard thenDon't bother. Put in maybe the best free or synergistic graveyard interaction in your deck, but unless you are full all in on your graveyard, you do not abuse the yard as much as the landslop player does. Shutting off all yards and preventing the landslop player's recursion is better for you than losing value in your one-of eternal witness or whatever. I run Kiki-Jiki and Zealous Conscripts in an Aurelia deck that goes to combat repeatedly with powerful equipment. >>98876260it's a shame the actual pokemon game itself is dogshit. Now riftbound is the game with promise
>>98875892Personally, I'd be going with more straight-up auras than creatures, since Kaima's going to get big fairly quickly if you can get them out enough. I'd probably include more options for adding Trample so it can get the last hits in when you want. Maybe even Trailblazer's Boots to be unblockable. I'd definitely put more focus on that than Managorger Hydra and Forgotten Ancient. If you want more Treasure generation than just Magda, you could include Puppet Master, String Puller. Shiny Impetus might not go amiss there, either.Instead of or beside Bedlam, you could try Bothersome Quasit for unblockability and more goading. As far as your card draw goes, outside of a couple of power/damage-based draw options, I'd remove most of it (especially the wheel unless you have bigger plans for it) and instead dip lightly into some Enchantress stuff like Tanglespan Lookout, Verduran Enchantress, and Setessan Champion to make all the auras be cantrips or more. And in case you aren't in a position to close out the game with your commander by the time it gets down to a 1 on 1, Hot Pursuit ought to give you the edge to win.
>>98876260>>98876294PokemonTCG has a lot going for it, I respect it. I really like the video-game version, PokemonTCG Live.I like Riftbound too, but to be honest, I made some decks and played them a handful of times, and now they just sit on the shelf. If Riftbound had an official video game version I would be all over it.An unfortunate truth about why I play Commander is that playing 1v1 games, especially at an LGS setting, is a lot more intimidating than the '4 player free for all' casual experience that is Magic.
>>98876481the actual pokemon tcg itself is too basic for me to have any interest, it knows it's intended audience, 5 year olds, and doesn't pretend otherwise with gameplay complexity. It's the same reason as why they won't make pokemon video games with any base difficulty or complexity
>>98876481I can't imagine playing commander really consistently with randoms, I play it with friends i've played with for years, yeah that doesn't happen often, but it is easier to play a proper 1v1 "spike" gamemode with strangers where you are on the same page than facing horrible rule 0 discussions
>>98876503This is really the only way to play commander. Broadly managing expectations for a casual format is nearly impossible and brackets are not doing a good job of it. You simply need to know like minded people to have a good experience with this format.
>The vast majority of the Star Trek UB set looks like someone applied an AI filter over screencaps of the show and sent it to printHas there ever been a more doomed set?
>>98876546Aether drift was pretty bad
>>98876498I can appreciate why you would say PokemonTCG is basic. However, I think the 1v1 gameplay of PokemonTCG is better than the 1v1 gameplay of Magic in current-day (standard format Magic, I don't consider other 60-card formats). PokemonTCG cards are designed with more intention, there are lots of 'engine pieces' that only work 'in-engine. There are more constraints on what can happen and what you can do.In 1v1 Magic formats, it feels like WOTC gives literally no thought, they just make cards with AI-generated art-work and text-boxes, and just diarrhea-dump it into Standard. There is no such thing as an engine or an archetype in 60-card formats, you just play piles of good-stuff. Or maybe you have a 2-card combo in your deck, and that's the "engine".I actually prefer that Pokemon has more defined engines, because at least the deck has cohesion, and you don't have mix/matches of different Universe-Beyond cards just because your deck is full of goodstuff.
>>98876294>Give it this -1 this turnMagic doesn't have "until end of turn" copyrighted.
>>98876615you actually can't copyright or trademark the game mechanics at all, just the names of things, and names that are too generic fail to hold up to copyright or trademark standards, so orc, goblin, elf, mana, mage, etc... are all open to be taken. So any game could decide to be mechanically identical to MtG if it wanted, and terminologically almost identical (I think pl;aneswalker is unique enough to be trademarked/copyrighted) just have to make up different unique universes, the various UW planes are all off-limits for copying.

>>98876635on a similar note, I, like many others, lament what has happened to EDH since wizards monetized it and then took control of it as Commander. But that name change opens up the nice possibility of reviving EDH as it's own separate thing outside of wizards Commander ecosystem. My thoughts were on three points.A) making it understood that just like with Canlander, proxies are to be ubiquitously allowed, this prevents wizards from monetizing the format and great reduces the ability for them to fuck with it.B) an identity shift "Commander" would need to become something like "General" so that it is mechanically distinct and no cards that reference a Commander could have those abilities or mechanics function to disrupt the format, so deflecting swat would not be castable for free, command tower would produce no mana, backgrounds and partners wouldn't work, etc...C) and finally the only real novel element, and this one to fight back against all the made-for-commander legendary creatures, simply allow any creature to be made into the General of the deck.I would also think a points list like Canlander instead of a banlist would be good though it would likely need to be a different list as multiplayer has different power priorities than 1v1, but it could also just be an expanded list. But that first point, ubiquitous tolerance and encouragement of proxies is whta keeps canlander from being sanctioned and monetized, so that's important.
>>98876635riot did a bunch of changes to formatting like having cards in first person for their actions, it was just their style rather than copyright (not saying its a good style lol)

>>98876726That's not a reduction.
>>98876678A splinter format that doesn't use any cards that reference a commander sounds pretty cool. I've also been thinking about edh with only cmc>=7 commanders allowed. What's some blue/black goodstuff for a Royal Kidnapper deck if I'm *not* going all in on stealing as many of my opponents creatures as possible, but just want to make a deck thats disruptive and annoying at a 4 person table? Winning is nice if it happens, but the real goal is to just make shit happen that screws with other people's plans in interesting ways.So far I have a decent amount of Goading and other stuff that forces opponents to attack, combat tricks like Observed Stasis and Sudden Spoiling, and creatures and effects that bounce between controllers like Kain and Assault Suit.

So, is there any reason for anyone at a multiplayer table to EVER attack a Battle card other than its controller? It seems like a cute idea, but I just don't see why someone would attack a battle card instead of the opponent's life points directly if only the person who cast the battle in the first place gets anything when it dies.
>>98877009No. Not like you get the flip if you kill it, though you should.
>>98877009Politicking, of course. Battle Controller offers you something you want, you judge it worthwhile as you can either compel the deal or otherwise know the offer is trustworthy.Of course, judge with a discerning eye. >>98877009>So, is there any reason for anyone at a multiplayer table to EVER attack a Battle card other than its controller?only in specifics. for example, the table needs to kill an important creature with two toughness and the owner of invasion of kaldheim shows he has a land card he can discard if you just flip his battle for him
>Play theft>Slowly start realizing how terrible everyone else's decks are>Flip 18 cards no enchantment removal and lose because Case of the Locked Hothouse got to liveI'm slowly starting to realize why people build theft as "I take everyone's commander then play stax the whole game"
i think the problem is to effectively cram enough removal into a deck you either need to have highly efficient draw engines, a well supported theme that naturally has removal attached to pieces, or a really generic or compact thing that your deck does.
>>98876705that card SUCKS
>>98876742O fuck I need this in Sarulf

>>98877047You shouldn't expect to use other people's removals when you build theft.
>>98877078This. Theft is relying intrinsically on an inconsistent pool of cards made even more inconsistent by literally changing depending on your opponent. You bring draw, ramp and interaction from home.
>>98876705This reminded me that while I was making my Wick deck I was investigating the most efficient equip-cost-to-power ratio of all equipment and discovered that (other than Grafted Wargear) Heirloom Blade was the most efficient and unconditional cost despite having an incredibly useful effect. I've never really played equipment voltron archetypes before and I found it really surprising. I've always thought it felt really good to use just as a way to make sure I always have a creature available, depending how you make your deck it can even be used as a tutor.
>>98877089Love it, awesome art too
Thinking of throwing together this guy with living weapon mechanics cards and having a flicker subtheme. Obviously the best ones are the cheap For Mirrodin pieces, as you get a 2/2 token out of it each time. Are there any obvious mass flicker for equip synergies I'm missing? I've got>Silver Surfer>Nahiri's Resolve>Hide on the Ceiling>BragoI could obviously slot in Displacer Kitten, but he's such a slop card. And the second you run any sort of Urza-adjacent effect in the deck you're bound to go infinite even on accident.
Here's the alternate commander. Opinions?
>>98877160Yorion, Sky Nomad is the only mass artifact flicker that comes to mind that you're missing. But do consider Sigarda's Aid if you're dribbling equipment in particular.
>>98877184Yeah, I thought about Yorion but of those listed he's probably the worst. I was unsure if my scryfall-ing wasn't giving me something based off some weird wording on a card maybe. Sigarda's Aid isn't fantastic if most of the cards are living weapons. Most of the equipment is going to auto-attach to a creature already and be somewhat subpar.

>>98877218Yeah, I agree it has utility. I just think it'll be a bit clunky in terms of how the deck is structured. There's some weird bottlenecks for this sort of deck and figuring out how to make it gel. You're also in 5c so there's a surfeit of "equipment goodstuff" utility pieces; all of them, in fact. Factor in the slots that the theme of the deck eats up and only the real cream of the crop will be able to fit.Real reason I'm running the deck is this though.

>>98877543Who are you talking about you vague posting schizo
>>98877543I think the people who would most know the value of removal are the ones that base their entire deck around beating it, ie the voltron players. Saying run ample removal or you will get your face smashed in because you don't is fair.
>>98877560No I don't really think so.
>>98877483I haven't played my Light-Paws deck since the Bracket system was invented. What bracket is Light-Paws generally considered to be?
>>98877566Depends slightly how you build her, I guess. Apparently if you try and win before turn 6 you're out of bracket 3 because the commander rules committee is a bunch of faggots, and even with no ramp whatsoever you can swing and murderize multiple people before turn 6 with light paws. And do it with great protection too if you're not stupid and run all the good protection creatures and auras. So sure, you can probably say you're bracket 4 and compete with bracket 4 losers. Run good stax while you're up there.
>>98877543As a person how has a Voltron deck himself, no it's not. I routinely tell people to make sure have remove for me, because if they don't, they will just fucking die. Of course, I try to always have protection but that because I expect everyone to have removal saved just for me. And of course, I have removal for problem strats I encounter in my meta, because that's smart.
>>98877581Yeah this reinforces why I think it's hypocritical for voltron players to talk about removal.
>>98877589Can you explain your reasoning/thinking? Genuinely curious.
Can I upload a deck here for feedback? I've played magic before but not commander and was going to proxy a deck to try out
>>98877668Yeah absolutely, best to put it on a site like moxfield and link it for best results. Good luck with the feedback though
>>98877595When you're the player removal checking the table you're the demographic least-qualified to accurately assess how much removal the average deck should run.For example in this discussion where the argument was "just run Feed the Swarm/Withering Torment" the odds of drawing either is extremely low (EV is 0.22 copies of enchantment removal by turn 4). That's not really an adequate solution and at that point it's unironically correct to just not run the removal and go all-in on digging for answers out of your opponents' decks because theft is typically able to get much higher deck penetration through their opponents than their own deck (depending on the method used, "theft" is a super broad label that actually encompasses 4 play patterns, but the most common one is embodied primarily by Outrageous Robbery where it's very efficient selection offset by how mana-inefficient actually casting anything is).Voltron exacerbates this because voltron players seem to be under the assumption that being able to go off always means that their opponents are on Swords+Path and nothing else, but in reality opening removal consistently means you have to run 14-15 pieces to see it in your mulligan. So the burden placed on opponents is 14 points of interaction that broadly don't advance your own gameplan (those that do tend to be comically overcosted to the point they're no longer effective as removal, there's some exceptions but they're rare and definitely not common enough to make up even half of a 14-card removal package). Meanwhile voltron is typically running protection cards that naturally slot into its strategy which means now you're demanding multiple removal pieces from your opponents to compensate for protection that is frequently good enough to be a card you would include even if it didn't have protection stapled on (e.g. Sword of X and Y). It's ignoring inequality in the statistical contribution cards make to a deck.
>>98877684Meren graveyard/lands deck because I like grave shenanigans, aiming for strong bracket 3https://moxfield.com/decks/mUQzI9VBZE6EywwN5YmS9w
>>98877694So basically you're crying about having to run enough removal for problems you face? You're crying about having to spare slots so you don't lose? If you don't adapt, you die. It's that simple. If by your own reckoning, if you need 14-15 pieces to stop the voltron player, then run them or die. Not every card needs to advance your gameplan directly, sometimes you just need to eat your veggies and have the cards or die. It that simple.
>>98877744I'm glad I spent that time explaining to you the math behind something only for you to respond with an emotional argument. You have once again reinforced my claim.
>>98877694If it's theft decks specifically it's very recommended that you run protection and removal of multiple kinds solely because depending your entire gameplan on your opponents' luck is inconsistent. Using your own deck is always reliable, though, so a deck built around such things is all control, lockdown, and draw or die embarrassingly with your hand in the cookie jar called "your opponents' stuff".
>>98877749I find it funny you think this is emotional for me, when it isn't at all. All your math proved to me is that, if I'm in a meta with a Voltron player, I need to make sure 14-15 cards of my deck are removal of some sort to deal with them. I'm sure I can make at least a few fit my deck's gameplan but I'm ok with running generic removal. Thanks for the tip, sad how you don't follow your own advice.
Go on. Tell me it's busted. I tried making messing with lands fair and flavorfull.
>>98877763The central premise of theft is that it's not reliable. Every single facet of the deck you're not outsourcing undermines the original premise behind playing theft. The best "theft" ever was was the brief period right after OG Emrakul released and everyone was running it so 1x Bribery in any blue deck meant you won the game. However that's also not exactly what people would envision when they say "theft deck" despite it being a deck that wins off an opponent's card. What you're suggesting is just a control deck.
>>98877771If you want to keep burying your head in the sand to act smug, go ahead. All this does is prove voltron players want everyone else to cater to them but they're unable to handle what happens once they start getting edict looped.
>>98877781If you're in it for fun then sure, steal to your heart's content. If you actually wanna win, you're gonna need more than "I sure hope my opponent packed something good". Like all gambling, it's great IF you win and hit the jackpot. It's gonna suck when you don't hit the jackpot and now someone is very irate and coming over to punch your face into next week.
>>98877775I'm confused by the design of Woodfall Temple. Why does a green land deal a bunch of direct damage and turn things to swamps?
>>98877717That's a whole lot of your main strategy but not a whole lot of ways to protect it at instant speed. I'd suggest finding a way to fit in Heroic Intervention and maybe Tear Asunder just to snipe common sights like Grafdigger's Cages and RIPs.Also you're playing black, find a way to fit Dark Ritual.
>>98877837Woodfall Temple is literally located within a Swamp, idk why this dumbass didn't just make the land a Swamp
>>98877775I'm not sure if I quite understand the theme of land hate on the land cycles here. Largely, they seem like the best case scenario is that there's some combo to turn one of them into a really annoying stax piece. Stone Tower Temple is neat for flipping at least.
>>98877775The main thing about lands is that the effects on them are typically extremely weak and intentionally comically overcosted even relative to what would be safe printing on a 1-drop. Look at War Room for example which is one of the best draw lands ever printed and it's still {3}, {T} and it costs life on top of that.Woodfall Temple for example is repeatable, off-color Price of Progress on-rate. This would likely be 5+ mana on a land (compensating for the fact it's repeatable and there's almost no opportunity cost for putting the card in your deck).Snowhead Temple technically isn't overpowered but it's a type of effect that just wouldn't be printed anymore today because D&T isn't exactly a play pattern people enjoy. Would likely be 3-4 mana instead of just 2.Great Bay Temple needs a bit of a wording update for what I assume is the intended effect. It comes off as Snowhead Temple but worse though. That being said I think Great Bay Temple might be printable in some form albeit likely in a Modern Horizons set (compare Dampening Sphere).Stone Tower Temple is comically broken both halves individually are an effect that's like 7+ mana if you want it repeatable on a land.
is my deck considered Bracket 3 if I have the Memnarch +liquimetal torque/coating?
>>98877838>Tear Asunder just to snipe common sights like Grafdigger's Cages and RIPs.I've got Foundation Breaker, Assassins Trophy, Vraska, Insidious Fungus and Maelstrom Pulse for noncreature removal i thought that would be enough. Did consider Heroic Intervention since there's not much protection but not sure what Id cut
>>98877853It is a great combo but I don't think it's infinite so it'll stay bracket 2. Torque especially is some good shit, it ramps on top of helping memnarch steal shit.
This is about as dumb as "basic lands should be free" and "mail doesn't come on Saturday" to the point it has to be performative.
>>98876856>>98876862ty anons found one on amazon
>>98877873>I've got Foundation Breaker, Assassins Trophy, Vraska, Insidious Fungus and Maelstrom Pulse for noncreature removal i thought that would be enoughOf those, the only one that comes out at instant speed is Assassin's Trophy, meaning there's a good chance your strategy can be upended permanently before it comes back to your turn. Also, they're all Destroy effects. Indestructibility is a thing, and your enemies can play the recursion game too. Making sure something stays gone has value, though I admit your main concern is gonna be RIP and enchantment recursion is not nearly so common (enchantments are usually protected by shroud and the only way you're gonna hit them then is with Back to Nature or Fade from History, rather niche selections).
>>98877775I want an enchantment land and I don't give a rat's ass how busted it would be or how much you cry
>>98877792>they're unable to handle what happens once they start getting edict looped. That doesn't happen to me. Use real removal.
>>98877899Ah yeah forgot Tear Asunder is exile that could be useful. Grafdiggers Cage and RIP are pretty brutal but wasn't sure how often explicitly hateful cards like that are run
>>98877837Woodfall Temple exudes poison in the game. The water there hurts to swim in, therefor damage for nobasic lands. This ability exists on green cards.>>98877842The color identity for this deck is bant. I therefor can't have black mana symbols but since it is literally inside a swamp I tried to relate to it. The surrounding land will be an actual swamp and appear in the Skull Kid deck.>>98877844The temples all mess with the surroundings in the game. I thought it would make sense to have literal land hate come from the temples.>>98877847Okay, I'll consider upcosting some abilities. With Snowhead I was torn between what I posted and just bouncing or exiling a creature (Darmani). I don't see how Great Bay needs a rewording but I am honestly not sure how. It's supposed to make islandwalk viable without actually granting the opponent U. The idea is that the water is murky.>>98877903Not sure I understand the request. But if you have any ideas, tell me.
>>98877913Yawn.
Doom has come for your EDH table...after I actually figure out a list...
>>98877775>Repeatable Sunspine Lynx on a green land that comes in untappedCan we please get the custom card general so these morons can go somewhere else.
>>98877781>Every single facet of the deck you're not outsourcing undermines the original premise behind playing theft. That's like saying you can't put plowshares in voltron because it isn't equipment. What the fuck are you talking about? You're allowed to put generic removal cards in your theme deck.>but I wanna draw into my opponent's removalIf all of your opponents are running 7-10 pieces of removal and you topdeck each of them twice, the EV of actually hitting that removal is 0.38-0.49. The removal EV of an actual removal card is 1.Drawing other people's removal is a cute idea, but you're not gonna hit as often as you think.
>>98877931>The temples all mess with the surroundings in the game. I thought it would make sense to have literal land hate come from the temples.I suppose that makes some sense, but while the curses themselves are environmental in nature, the problem is usually more about how it's affecting the people there. It especially doesn't make as much sense for Stone Tower temple, since the curse there is about angry spirits and restless undead.
>>98877961Mash ccg and ai slop together and they can both be happy in a containment thread thats at least has 10 posters
>>98877965Topdecking each of your opponents twice is the same as looking at 6 cards from your deck and only gets more extreme as you playing cards dedicated to deep penetration. This isn't even account for factors like how it's far easier for selesnya to have 7 enchantment removal than for rakdos to have more than 2.
>>98877899Oh how do you feel about the number of lands? I wasn't sure what was normal when factoring in the other creature mana sources and the curve
>>9887804833
>>98877990seethe
>>98877903
>>98876804that's MLD auto banned
>>98878099Nah. MLD has to hit all players, including yourself.3 players isn't 4.
>>98876834
>>98877986Knowing flip cards exist, there's no way I could resist using the mechnaic here. Like, come on. It's Stone Tower. It has to be a flip card. With regards to flavor: Clearing Woodfall unpoisons the Swamp, Clearing Snowhead unfreezes the mountains, clearing Great Bay (supposedly) makes the Ocean clear again. Clearing Stone Tower, however does NOT remove the undead from Ikana. I'd argue it's a special case and deserves a card that falls out of line.
>>98878106Cabbages aren't artifacts tho
>Cast a board wipe>Opponent flashes in Life in response>I destroy all of his lands>I'm sweating now>He calmly calls the judge>The judge, a 6'6" 300 pound tranny waddles over>Xa'am judge he did an MLD>The looks at me, a full on ketamine and fluoride stare>I don't say anything, I just get all of my cards onto the table and push them towards the player whose lands I destroyed>Since I did an MLD against him he gets my entire collection and I'm banned from the store
>>988781034 player edh is fucking boring, there's no real depth to the game, it's either free-for-all, the table gangs up on one guy or 2v2 (which is just 1v1)you need 6-8 players for the format to really shine.
>>98878109>unpoisons the Swampswamps aren't poison anon.
>>98878109>Knowing flip cards exist, there's no way I could resist using the mechnaic here. Like, come on. It's Stone Tower. It has to be a flip card.Yeah, I said as much initially. A Flip card makes perfect sense. The question is what tapping all the land has to do with Stone Tower, other than just making a generic land hate effect to fit in with the others.>ClearingIt's not like you're mechanically implementing the concept of clearing the dungeon anyway. Again, why is Stone Tower tapping all the lands, instead of flipping over while making zombie/spirit tokens or something?
>>98878122Cabbages are food. Food are artifacts.
>>98876772Name 15 ways
>>98877566Most voltron decks default to bracket 4 because the system is poorly designed
>>98877913In response, I conspire with the other players to always assign Alexios' full damage to our 1/1 blockers
>>98878069chat is this real? Why didn't you tell me about this
>>98878103I think you can't Armageddon with Heroic intervention in B3 anon
>>98878194You can't, but making lands into creatures and then boardwiping is still allowed on bracket 3.Especially when you aren't the person who made lands creatures. Gavin stated that example specifically.
>>98878190Because it's not a particularly notable card.
>>98878221Gavin let me cast natural affinity then wrath of god in B3? Based I didn't know
My friends that I play with haven't even heard of brackets and this thread makes me think it's a great thing
>>98878285>I'm 12 and what is this
>>98878285You're wrong.
>>98878138Stone Tower turns lands around as it rotates the world. I don't think I could've done it better than that. It making monsters makes about as much sense. Maybe as an ETB (opening the doos) but I don't have huge textboxes to work with here.Alternate ideas I had included:>Making the bottom half an enchantment that enchants player. Making him untap all tapped lands and vice versa or have all tapped cards be treated as untapped and vice versa.>Making all flying creatures non flyers and vice versa.>Inverting Mana costs (e.g. green mana becomes U/B. R/B becomes White.)>Something with an untap symbol. The idea is to invert the rules/battlefield in some way. I still think using lands and changing their state makes the most sense.
>>98878395Why?
>>98878406I've been on the side-lines and I've always wondered a pivotal piece of edhg lore.Is the guy who repeatedly posts the picture of Toski with no text "the gay bolas" guy, or is Toski-poster the "aggressively anti-gay bolas" poster?Did people care about him before he posted the Toski?
>>98878428I don't think he's either, but I also don't care.GaybolasProUBfag has taken it upon himself to replace swordtard as "biggest cancer on /edhg/" and that's all that matters.Never forget the time he threw a literal tard tantrum and spammed 2 threads back to back with random card images to try and hit image limit so he could make the next OP and put his precious gay furry porn link in it
>>98878179This literally never happens, I have personal experience.
>>98878428It's a bot.
>>98878475Every anon is gobanon
>>98878406But that's countered by the fact this exact thread was not made by gay bolas poster and still has "pro UB sperg".
>>98877775All of these are hilariously broken or useless>Woodfall is green and not black>Snowhead is white and not redWhat the fuck. do you know anything about magic or majoras mask?
>>98878478Maybe I need to take meds but I'm pretty sure UB fag is also the retard that would nonstop shit up threads bitching about proxies he just changed tactics because of diminishing (you)s
>>98878446>This againWe already proved it wasn't the gay bolas poster who did that. It was the other sperg trying to make his thread look more active.
>>98878221>>98878238The requirement is that *someone else* (not you) boardwipes and then *you* cast natural affinity, that way you can say that you didnt intentionally build your deck to regularly mld
>>98878497It's gobpedo, get it fucking right.

>>98878681Now post the flat ones I know exist
>>98878407The stone tower flipping is good but untapping lands for 3 white is giga busted unless you make it weird by making it trigger with untap and then just don't give it a mana ability
>>98878691It's obviously a black mana symbol, don't be a corpo-cultist.
>>98878770I get it. Here's a more novel idea where everyone flips over their library.
>>98878776I like my magic cards to look like magic cards. can't you just pretend they aren't the trademarked symbols on your etsy? I doubt anyone would rather you out
>>98877181Not about him really, but making transform cards for the 3 transformations masks would be cool to see.
>>98878783That's a lot better
>>98878785And what do magic cards look like? Because not even wizards/hasbro seem to know, there's something like 20+ different card frames now. Also complete card alters are tourney legal, the only requirement for a card is that the name and mana cost are present and that it's on official MtG cardstock.
If you don't put this in your deck your nongreen decks you are punting games to landfall.
>>98878804Wotc acting like retards with the readability of cards doesn't mean you should do it too.
>>98878829>hiredappointed, they don't get paid.well, the ones not working for mossad don't get paid.
>>98878791They do exist but weren't particularly popular either.

>>98878449In my experience playing pic related players are simply unaware they can over-assign trample damage onto creatures even if they're trying to work together against me.

Hang on, they're actually making zelda cards? I just tuned in to see how the trek set was coming along and learned this. Zelda in mtg is a pipe dream I've been talking about for decades, and unlike trek or fallout it doesn't require mental gymnastics to fit in the setting
>>98878867No, anon is making custom cards
>>98878859A skull in a circle is the real symbol. And I would never accuse you of being a Natsoc, that's a high order compliment.
>>98878867Oh, how honored I feel. No, anon. These are just my own pipe dreams which I couldn't contain.
>>98878867No those are custom cards you can tell because there's no obnoxious alternate borders and such
>>98878861Yes, you could pick up your whole deck without saccing anything, but you still lose all the life that ad naus deals you and should still notate that should it become relevant. It probably wont if you've got your whole deck in your hand, but still. You can't pay life for effects that ask you to pay life with lich in play, like fetchlands, but just losing life from ad naus is fine.
>>98878878Well damn. I would want to kms if I wasn't so relieved that I don't have to drop a fortune on them. These are really good, anon.
