Decks that go wide and also have various +1/+1 tokens going out at different rates are so gay to play paperIt's something digital just does better by far.In paper it's aids to have dozens of tokens of varying token counts out and keeping track of that and updating them all when you add another count to them all. I've been working on a bart list with a Lurrus partner for a bit, but I'm really kinda reconsidering. I love Lurrus, truly, but there are so many good permanents that cost 3 or more that are very playable in commander. The value of lurrus being an 8th card is also kinda diminished by already having an 8th card in Bart, so I don't know. I want the deck to be mostly low to the ground, so I wouldnt fill it with tons of permanents that are more than 2cmc, so it would feel pretty silly to drop lurrus partner for just a few things. People can often underestimate you as well, at least until they play against you a few times. Many of the symmetrical monowhite stax effects hardly effect you. The only thing you can't really play are symmetrical rule of law effects, but you can still play Curse of Exhaustion to fuck over that storm player or whatever (and draw a card for your troubles).There's merit in considering Baral or azorious decks in general over Sythis, sure, but if you want to play to the board and be hateful then I think sythis is a fantastic call.

It is lower bracket, but even so, there is that new Dack deck which is making the rounds recently which apparently has the CEDH players whining for a ban. They have really rehabilitated white's image lately, you just kind of have to accept that if you want to draw cards or ramp in monowhite, you are going to have to spend a bit of money (assuming you aren't just proxying, anyway), and on average you are going to have to reallocate a lot more of your "plan card" slots over to card advantage still. The good news is that you have a lot of good interaction, both defensive and offensive, and you get to effectively set new rules for the game through the greatest access to various tax effects. Play your cards right, and your opponents won't really be able to interact with what you are doing profitably, meanwhile you have about as good access to one-sides wraths as black, and the best point removal of any color.
