HOTSHOT IIjust looks that coolllllll
>>11739291>Tamiya still producing the exact same kits it did in the 80s>it's still somehow the gold standard for RC kits.
>>11739291I had a car like that looked something that as a kid, I think I broke it on Christmas day and it never recovered. Looking at pictures I think it was a Nikko.
>>11739291Where do you guys play with your rc cars ?, often when I go to practice at skate parks I see guys with these monster trucks messing around in the half pipe and bowls.
I was wondering why theresnt an RC general(Including toy grade and hobby grade cars, trucks, boats, planes and helicopters) or i am missing it?
>>11746650I have a client that has a backyard with half of it converted into an RC track. Has jumps and a figure 8, all that.
is it ok to store spare parts in acid free baggies like this? i dont want to have like 100 2x3 bags for each fucking hand, seems a bit sillyim worried about paint stain or paint rubbing if stored for 10+ yearsis that possible if i just store the baggie in a drawer with no friction ?
>>11743697And I thought I was worried about my stuff to a crazy degree.
>>11744988Just explaining why you're allowed to worry about your stuff to a crazy degree, because everything degrades and will decay even faster thanks to conditions that are in your control.I think most of us have been collecting toys for at least 20 years, so we know how slow they actually decay, but have come across toys that have taken less times for issues to pop up. So there are steps you can take so that those issues won't happen for decades later.Again, i personally just dump shit into boxes with some organizing, because i know most toys will last for a long time without problem. i do check on them though.pic took 30 years to happen. broken despite still being sealed in package. you can see the yellowing on the border of the package, since that's where it's exposed to air the most.
You could unironically store them in comic book bags. You could use acid free boards to separate stuff. You could even buy a comic book short box or long box to store the parts standing. An acid free tissue paper would work in just wrapping some stuff and placing it in the bags.
>>11746471Forgot to mention, current/modern bags are the smallest, silver thick could be bigger. Magazine size are larger. Treasury size are huge. Just look up the dimensions on a site like "BCW Suppplies". At one point I was using trading card sleeves to sell Lego figures.
>>11746471Not the worst idea. Store them in a comic book box too I guess. Depending on how you do it.
I know i have been for a while now
>>11746918He's rich, he lives in a Mansion with 50 rooms and doesn't need to rent storage.Just like Rudy alpha investments, hoarding isn't something middle class people can afford.
>>11747088They did a lunchbox too of when he was a kid and if you follow the story around the sides it is him gettting beat up by bullies and his money stolen. At the end he is putting stuff back in the lunchbox and it says something like "I love you my big boy, I know you are going to have a great day!"
>>11748613and it just got worse
>>11736522I know I am and I blame FOMO culture that's gone full force on all fronts in recent years and the scalper market that's accompanied it.I find myself buying a bunch of toys that I just end up storing away in the attic as soon as they arrive. The reason I do is when I see a figure or toy I only sort of want I tell myself "Well, years down the line I might want it more and if I don't get it now it will be super hard for me to find" so I just buy it and "store it for later". I have almost an entire store shelf worth of unopened Lego sets that I got just because they were retiring and didn't want to pay triple the price for them when I finally had enough time or interest to assemble them.Worst part is I used to make fun of people like this and wpuld tell myself I'd never become like them.
>>11749042Im the same way but i have no idea how to get rid of alot of this stuff. I was gonna use facebook marketplace but i recently deleted my facebook because fuck meta. So ill have to figure out another avenue to rid myself of excess toys i dont want anymore.
>check local facebook marketplace daily>nothing but scalpers and retarded parents What's on your local FB, Anon?
>>11741922>>11741932ebay is annoying but is the only actual alternative since people here allowed B/S/T to die.Once this board become infested with assholes, bots, /pol-tards, and people who just want to shit-post and settled in /toys/ because /co or /fit or whatever else ran them off or banned them due to better janitors, B/S/T has become a mostly inactive shell. Y'all fucking shit on hate on reddit but the only things I managed to sell in the past six months (admittedly with very little listing because I haven't updated in years) was two toys on EB but $100+ in flipped Joe's to one buyer on reddit.
>>11740531
>>11741932That’s why I stopped doing Craigslist or Marketplace. The wasted time was a constant frustration. That, and the prevalence of people expecting you to ship or deliver items to them.>>11742305eBay would be so much better if they made the filter controls easier. The app is gimped, you literally have to go through a labyrinth of menus in your web browser to be able to filter out foreign buyers, who always fuck things up, no question. Also, eBay should get serious about banning accounts that engage in bad faith practices like bidding on multiples of the same item before reneging on almost all the auction wins.
Some cool stuff. My state has a toy meetup group that has a market show every month.
Local sales are best for things that would cost too much to ship but anything cheap and easy to ship is always cheaper on ebay or reddit. I've gotten some good speaker deals on FB, either by people who have no idea what they have and want to clean house or people who do know what they have and price accordingly. I can't imagine there's anything else worthwhile on there

Need some Help identifying a weird McDonald's Item.Recently picked up what seems to be a McDonald's Compass Watch, supposedly given out as a birthday promo item. In my Case manufactured in Dreieich, Germany. It was made by Simon Marketing (aka Simon Worldwide). It's in very good Condition and even comes with the original Packaging.I’ve tried to find Info on it, but there’s basically Nothing — no Listings, no past Auctions, nothing Comparable. Only the one from which I bought. So I’m not sure if it’s actually super rare or if I’m just looking in the wrong Places.Does anyone here recognize this Thing? Were there multiple Versions of it?And do People even collect stuff like this?Pics attached. And yes, the Spelling is intentional :)
You should post this on Reddit also, this will double the chances.
Another option would be to ask experts directly or ask YouTubers to make a video about the discovery
Bring back black watches.
>>11741787Back? Are there no black Watches anymore?
Thank you all for your helpful Comments and Ideas.I won't forget the Compass Watch. I'll do everything I can to find out more about it. I just listed it on eBay for the first Time (No Link for you Guys because I think that’s not allowed here and I don’t wanna put out unauthorized Ads).In the End I think Things will only get really interesting once we have more Information and know the Story behind the Watch. So we will have to wait.

>>11746470Part of me agrees. But it caused breaking a cracking issues if the arms were in their default position. And it would fall apart with the slightest stress so it turned them into display figures. Not play figures. A new part was needed. I wish they did a non curved version of the new skirt piece. So it still looked like the old one without damaging the arms and being more secure with the waste interlocking teeth(?). Whatever those are called

It'd be awesome if they did Darth Maul or Grievous for Star Wars stuff.
There was a recent announcement that both SHFigurarts and figma will make actions figures for Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider. SHF will make Tojima and figma will make Tacke. Is this the only time where competing companies announce that they will work on the same line together? I can only think of maybe the Revoltech Izustumi for the Dungeon Meshi figmas? Stuff like Hasbro making traditional Star Wars action figures while Lego makes Star Wars building toys doesn't count since they're different categories of toys.Usually companies are all competing and racing to make the first or best version of a character. For example, we have 3 Tanjiros, 3 Dekus and now 3 Okaruns from different brands. I know Jada wanted to do Street Fighter Alpha after they finished SF2, but Storm got their Alpha figures first. Is competing companies collaborating together the future of toys?
