Welp, it’s official. After months of rumors, we now have official confirmation that SC has lost the MK license. On their official website, Mortal Kombat is no longer listed under their licenses.This is extremely unfortunate, as that line was very well made and we were close to getting full rosters. They just released the new Shao Kahn and Goro which both were stellar releases. We’ve never had such a good line of MK characters and I doubt we’ll ever see one better. What the fuck is going on with them? They also never reissue ANYTHING, even though some of their older stuff would sell like literal hotcakes because they’re so expensive on the secondhand market. They just lost their most expansive and best selling line with MK and with Jada making great Street Fighter figures at a fraction of the price I don’t see those doing as well now. I’d be worried about them going bankrupt soon.

It’s funny how in other places I’m seeing people blaming Warner Brothers for this with their current merger. Maybe some of the blame can be placed on them, but no, Storm handled the license terribly. They kept putting out stuff people didn’t want and would take years to release shit. We were about halfway to a little over halfway of getting a complete roster, but instead we’ll be stuck with half a roster forever. I hate how people can’t place some blame on storm.

Everyone else just got the MK1/MK2 version (Noob was going to get the UMK3 version, but it's not happening now). They also showed painted prototypes of MK2 Kitana and Mileena but never released them.

Just got my Storm Collectibles Yujiro...Fucking hell this guy is AMAZING. As my first Storm Collectibles figure (didn't buy em because the weird scale, but Yujiro works) I love the engineering on these guys, the soft bits don't bother me as much as I thought they would and I love how they feel. Really weighty too. This guy is super fucking expressive, almost on par with a Revoltech. Might pick up the Kengan stuff or more Baki shit.

Skullomania up for preorder, with just alt head and hands and a tempting low price (for Storm Collectibles at least). I think it's a good decision, as he's a cool and iconic character with potential for many fun setups but it's usually hard to justify the high Storm prices unless you main the characters in question.
