What went wrong? Did Lego have a change of management? All their sets from the last couple years look like shit. Incoherent designs with too many small details, and not enough large pieces to hold it all together, too many awful clashing colors. Pushing these ugly new colors into every set, weather or not they fit. A lot of newer sets look poorly constructed, and likely to fall apart before you can place it on a shelf. No play features or action features. No playability, as most sets are intended to be display only pieces. Lego has lost their way, and ironically, the bootleg brands have begun releasing better looking sets than Lego. My only guess is a management change at the top.

is there any reason the G2 bionicles cost so much more than the G1? It can't be overstated how much of a phenomenon Bionicle was in its early years, being the "hot toy" and every boy having one. G2 just never reached that level. Thus for G1 it's cheaper purely because there's overwhelmingly so much supply on the market.

is this the most forgotten theme? I only remembered it because brickset did a "set of the day" and I completely forgot this dino theme even existed. It was that strange era right before the jurassic park movies were rebooted so it's the last original dinosaur theme for Lego. Pirates of the Barracuda bay was an ideas sets so it has no consistency and it's been retired forever. There is no good pirate ship set to go with this. Castle theme has the same problem. None of the sets really seem to match other than the new Town Square, and they even messed up that by making the boxes not match. Lego is getting to schitzophrenic with their large sets hopping all over the place. Who wants just a Rivendell or Mordor set for 500 bucks each but there is no running theme to go with them.
