Western Michigan Railway GP40-2 number 2501 northbound through Sparta Michigan. 2501 was the first GP40-2 painted in the railroads paint scheme, and also one of the first locomotives purchased by the railroad at startup in 2005.

Thank you Anons!

My camera is a really old dslr, Sony Alpha 350.

My Backgrounds are a wild mix. Some is just old fleamarket toys, some playmobil, fishtank decor, even intelligent slime in some cases. I throw in some joytoy playsets lately though.

So there has been some recent drama on YouTube regarding copyright and fair use and the use of another artists photography. I won't mention any names to avoid drama, but I'm genuinely curious as to what your take on this is /toy/ photographers.

To sum up the scenario, a YouTuber that monetizes his channel and uses it as advertising for his mom Internet job used some toy photography from someone's website in his videos. The YouTuber never credited the photographer and even went out of his way to remove or obstruct the watermark on the photos. The photographer found out about this, learned that the YouTuber used a several dozen photos in this manner, and subsequently began the process to have the photos removed or have them credited to his website. The videos themselves can be seen as educational, but the YouTuber has also openly admitted he uses the channel to advertise his day job and that it's monetized. I won't say either way what exactly happened subsequently, but I'm just curious as to your guys thoughts on this. If someone else used your photographs in a semi-professional to professional manner without paying or crediting you, or even letting you know they were using your photos, what would you do? Would you let it go or would you try to get credit/the photos removed? Thanks guys.

If they were professional enough that I felt the need to watermark them, I'd feel a little miffed that they went out of their way to deceive people by removing them.

I post my pictures anonymously on 4chan so I wouldn't exactly care if they got reposted elsewhere. If I had a website and watermarked my photos I would be annoyed at someone reposting them without credit.

If I wanted to print out movie posters for a 1/12th display what should the dimensions be?
>>
>>10972165
IRL measurements divided by 12. A typical one sheet should be 2.25"x3.33" Getting them to print at that size will depend on your editing and printing softwares.

I wanted some kind of backdrop for whenever I decide to take photos so I hobbled this together in an afternoon. It's nothing fancy but compared to my generic wall or white construction paper I had before I like it.

When you take photos do you go for a more authentic backdrop for what you're shooting? For me if I was going to do that I'd have to make set ups for like every different franchise, or at least something fitting. So a street setting/interior setting was fine for me. I also generally just take shots when a cool or funny idea (to me anyway) pops in my head.

I also try to create environments fitting the scene, using props. I could never really just take a shot in the living room or something.
