The vertical stabilizers should hinge over so that they wrap around the back of the leg.
So yeah the wings likely socket into the stabilizer I guess.

I've been thinking of picking up an EZ-8 while it's still readily available. But I remember the initial batch had some factory defect. Amiami has it on sale, would those be the corrected releases?

Should be, Ez8 was withdrawn from sale once the defect became widely known. I had it in my HLJ warehouse at the time and they sent out a notice about the defect, offered a refund or replacement. I could still see Ez8 in my warehouse but did not have the option to ship it until the corrected replacements arrived.
>>
>>10953982
No, I'm pretty certain it's been stolen now, lots of people had the exact same problem with their package supposedly clearing customs then mysteriously disappearing. I started the procedure with paypal to get refunded, I can't wait one more month for amiami to finally be able to make an inquiry, as I chose paypal 4x payment, not going to pay again in may for something that disappeared into the void. Sent a mail to amiami support explaining the thing. Being financially irresponsible and retarded, I wrote that I'd make another order for the same item as they still have some, this time ripping myself a new anus by choosing DHL because surely they wouldn't steal it. Hope it doesn't result in a ban, considering how uppity nips can get about these things
>>

I was just thinking, since Bandai made the GM Command Guinea Pig team version, which is from Missing Link. Could that maybe lead us to a Guncannon Mass Production Type, since it was in that story too?

Fuck my better judgment, the Arcadia VF19kai is actually pretty nice. Really like the candy red look, I can't tell how much is bare plastic vs painted on gloss but texture wise it's very pleasant to handle.
That said, there's some douchey design choices like a hidden peg locking the gerwalk hinge to the wing root which is unprecedented to me coming from the YF19. Also it's just overall a stiff cunt out of box, but now I'd really love to see the mass production F and S models reissued.
On top of that, I did get a VF171EX with it which is kinds funny as the 171's design still has enough of the original 17 in it as to work as a companion piece to the 19kai.
>>
question about the Metal Build Hi Nu
did they ever made effect parts for the funnels? or maybe by some chinese third party?
>>
>>10956677
Nothing official, I thought I saw a third-party one floating around at some point.
>>
I don't get why Bandai would re-release the Gundam Alex and Zaku II Kai, but not the Kampfer.
>>
>>10957163
>an RX78
>an MS6

It's fucking obvious why the mascot machines would get priority.
>>
>>10957406
Kampfer is just as much a mascot to 0080 as those two. They're even re-releasing the GM Sniper II. What separates the Kampfer from them?
>>
>>10957452
Then just wait? It'll probably be reissued
>>
>>10957452
GM is also a mascot machine line.
Kampfer is a one and done machine of the week equivalent.
Kampfer may be iconic, but it's iconic specifically to 0080 and not to the broader identity of Universal Century.
>>
>>10957163
>>10957452
Have you seen the size of the Kampfer box? Production costs are likely much higher now with inflation going mad and Bandai can't charge above the original RRP due to Japanese laws.

>>
>>10959845
I dont know how it is to europe but I always pay for premium shipping now if my item is over 100 usd due to the fear of uncertainty. I freaked the fuck out when my Blue frame 2nd L metal build had an error in shipping but thankfully it was because the item was delayed by a day.
>>
>>10959870
In baguetteland you always get fees which is about 20% of the package's value. Just before I got into buyfaggotry I heard only packages with a value superior to 150 euros were getting the highway robbery tax, but then they removed that and every fucking thing coming from outside europe gets taxed now. That was the context for the following; I tend to always pick airmail because it's usually cheap, gets here in two weeks tops, save for that SF, and I don't get an atrocious amount of handling fees on top the import fee. In most cases I can't justify picking DHL because the price is insane, and they charge an absurd amount of handling fees on top on VAT. For exemple once I bought a 16k yen figure and DHL shipping was 40k, granted the box was big but man. I never had any huge issues with airmail so I figured I'd pick it for the SF as well, that was a retard's mistake. Now I know not to cheap out on the shipping for really expensive things. I'm still freaking out about this entire mess daily because of the absolute price I paid for it
>>
>>10959896

I hope your SF arrives soon, It is a great looking display piece.
>>
>>10959896
Why freaking out? Just make sure to ordre from a place where you'll get a refund if something goes wrong. I've ordered hundreds of expensive figures from Japan and China and always used the less expensive option.

>>10960067
I could probably buy 2 SF today with all the money that went into customfaggotry

>>10960690
Even if I get a full refund, the SF keeps rising in price, already up to 134k from the previous 127k, and before that it was around 90k. Also I used paypal 4x payment, to keep paying for something that may never get delivered isn't a nice feeling. And I can't get help from the seller for one more month because their policy for airmail is to wait two months after shipping to make an inquiry. The entire situation leads to freaking out and seething

Honestly didn't expect that level of quality from a chink brand. There's barely any defect, as opposed to the MRD Lupus I have which had plenty of visible paint defects and scratches OOB. I have a bunch of other Moshow mechas pre ordered, now I'm eager to get them but that won't be for a while as they don't have a prototype yet. As for the MB SF, there's not much more to say or do, best I can do is wait in a silent anger. I'll start working on my SF MGEX sometime in june probably, if yours gets delivered before then and you start working on it in june as well we might be done around the same time

The designs are pretty varied, there's roughly half of them that I don't like. They all remain very chinky in that they have loads of details, but it's not too much at least for me, and at this scale it's pretty enjoyable. I like the Iga Doushin a lot but the Asyura doesn't spark anything in my neurons
On another note I got joytoy mechs recommended to me in jewtube videos, they look pretty cool but I don't know anything about their quality

Personally I'm so far into my specific "it fits the scale and matches the aesthetic" autism of 1/48 and 1/60 military mecha that I can't branch out just because something presents itself as an economical option.

I'm fighting the urge to buy some Yamato 1/60 VF-19s off of ebay, I've spotted some of the blueberry versions and I kiiiinda want those if Arcadia has no plans of reissuing them.

Well god fucking dammit. Got two ANIME Kampfers in just now, was expecting 'junk' figures maybe missing minor parts based on what I was told. Nope, two complete figures actually from one of the Army Builder friends who passed away almost two months ago now.
Great old guy that is immediately friendly(good english speaker when my spoken JP wa- is still bad) from the first meeting on a GM Command he bailed me out with one of his extras when I missed out on the pre-order. Actually has helped out major with some other RD figures and such, and me not even close to being able to return the favour with NA stuff.

Other stuff came with the two, but seemingly he found these for me well before things got bad. Based on a jokingly said wish to get two to make symmetrical Kampfers, when we were gushing about the 'surprise' announcement of the Rick Dom II. Welp, gonna get some drinks and just cry.

I remember researching about this figure when I saw images of the design months ago or something, according to Google translate, most commenters are complaining about some kind of manga chapter featuring the mech itself that supposedly came with the figure, about how the story and characters were horrendous and unlikable or something.

Been looking into the G-Witch RD's more and man what the fuck are they smoking over at Bandai.
>1st release is Aerial that doesn't come with any Permet effect parts
>2nd release is a slightly altered version with a stand and different coloured beam effects but still no Permet lines
>3rd release has the active Permet lines (called "Permet Expansion Set") but it's a cut-down version of Aerial with the red lines, not optional parts to attach to the regular release like the name would imply. Not released in Japan, instead it's exclusive to SEA only because ???
>4th release is Permet Score 6 which is a Tamashii Nations exclusive, has new battle damaged torso and shoulder parts
>5th release is Aerial Rebuild, they learned from the mistakes of regular Aerial and included red and blue Permet effect parts, P-Bandai only though
>6th release is Calibarn, again it comes with the red and rainbow Permet effects but none of the promotional pictures actually showed this, with the description just saying "2 replacement shell parts", leaving people confused and wondering if this meant x1 deactivated and x1 activated effect parts or x2 activated and x1 deactivated (already installed on the body and not counted), another P-Bandai release
>7th release is Aerial Rebuild + the Quiet Zero display stand and Permet score 8 effect parts, P-Bandai release (the only one that seems like it would always have been a PB release)
>>
>>10967684
cont. because I typed way too much

I know there's at least a dozen versions of the RX-78-2 at this point and the Strike has a few variants already but why did they decide to handle Aerial this way? At first I thought it was because they weren't expecting G-Witch to blow up the way it did so they didn't bother giving the initial Aerial release all the usual bells and whistles you'd expect from the ANIME line but all the releases since have just been retarded. The biggest complaint over blast/thruster effects not being included was that it only had black Permet parts instead of coming with both to swap out (which Rebuild and Calibarn actually do) so why on earth would you then release a version that has those red parts and restrict it only to SEA? I'm sure people would have complained if it was P-Bandai but at least then it'd be easy to find, they've made the 1 version people actually want the hardest to find and barely anyone even knows it exists in the first place. That first release being botched has had a knock-on effect to all the other suits from the show now going straight to P-Bandai with the exception of Guel's Dilanza and I just can't understand what they're thinking releasing things this way, especially considering the supposed record sales of the G-Witch HG kits. They're clearly trying to correct some of their mistakes now with things like this effects set but I feel like the damage is already done, I'd be surprised if they release anything after Demi Barding with Pharact being left in prototype hell.

The only one coping here is you retard, I don't even use effect parts I just wanted you to know how monumentally retarded you sound saying that in a thread about toy robots on a board for toys.

man what a way to miss the mark if their aim really was for fans of the game to buy that shit

in other things, who here was madman enough to buy the MB GN Arms sets? Here's D

Why are so many WFM releases p-bandai? Isn't this supposed to be the most popular and successful Gundam brand in years? You'd think they would be pumping out all sorts of AD Stella MS for general retail. So far the only actual general retail releases are the first Aerial, Guel's Dilanza, and the literally who Demi Barding
>>
>>10967882
Like I said I think they fucked up by releasing a blank Aerial first, people just went for the HG to get one with Permet lines and everything else is going to P-Bandai for the initial release underperforming.
>>
>>10967684
>let's release a protagonist gundam with the signature flashy lights turned OFF
There's no explanation of this decision that isn't frustrating or inconvenient to the intended consumer. It's like they botched a general release just so they don't spoil a gimmick meant to be revealed in the second half of the first episode of the fucking show because the story is so very important unlike the toys they are trying to sell.

>>10953977
For that price point I thought this figure would be loaded with coral effect parts or at least the energy sword she waves around, buying new RD's are getting harder and harder to justify.

It's actually kinda fucking amazing how well Yamato's old VF19F has aged, the Kai reissue from Arcadia is cool and all but the 19F (and by extension the 19S since it's just the same figure with extra lasers and yellow trim) is like everything I wish the Arcadia YF19 would be like, without the frustrating parts.

In fact so many of the worst aspects of the YF19 Arcadia just end up being side effect of adapting the VF19's underlying chassis to the YF's particular aesthetics, resulting in places where it looks more unsightly on the YF (fatter leading lip on the intakes, obvious exposed extension of the leg when viewed from the side, a kinda meaningless flap hatch for the YF that on the VF is part of a cool battroid access hatch gimmick...). I get why they would do that, reusing much of the existing tooling would be financially wise and it still runs circles around the old original Yamato YF19... but I'm a lot more a fan of how it plays out with the M7 Excaliburs. Joints are rather slippery tho, but hey the Yammy era Excalibur is like 10 years old? It's fine.

AC fans are on average older than Gundam fans and won't care about kiddie effect parts.

Also, no alternate folded guns. Two on wrists are unfolded, ones on shoulders are retracted.

They at least could have given 2 spare pairs of Coral canons, folded/unfolded. Not even talking about it being transformable.

I had my hopes up on the RD line for AC6 but it seems I'll settle with the upcoming plamos
that Ayre is an overpriced piece of shit, I can see it being a shelfwarmer due to the criminal lack of extras compared to similar or even cheaper price point figures.
Seriously? no effects parts for the sword or cannon she keeps spamming? only 2 extra pairs of hands.
>>
>>10969903
any news about your MB SF yet? Today I finally got the update that the MGEX finally arrived to the country so i hope I can finally receive that model soon
>>
>>10970746
Nah,I still bit the bullet. Would be a shame to miss her.

I want Rusty, Steel Haze, Nightfall, Ibis, 51-003K and of course Walter's HAL 826. But we saw a teaser already for him, so I just wanna see Nigghtfall or Steel Haze to be next.

As for effects, I have some pinkish and red explosions, lightnings and all other good stuff. So, I ain't that bitter. Still sucks, yeah.
Glad I got all effects I could gather.

Looks cool but I'm not a fan of the design overall. Ball joint for the hands seems like an improvement, not that I had any issue with the c-clips on Lancelot but I prefer ball joints. Nice feet though, love me high heels. The additionnal articulated part for the stand is also a nice addition but I'm not sure it's enough to hold the weight in time

>>10970754
None still. I wrote a mail to customs to check if it's not stuck there but they told me they cleared it the day it arrived in the country. I'll be going to the local post office yet again today to see if anything can be done but I don't have any hopes, la poste is a huge piece of fuming shit as soon as you have any problem with a parcel going through them. The people working at my local post office are nice and helpful but the system as a whole is fucked beyond repair, even if they try to help they can't do much more than me
Good news for the MGEX, will you paint it ?

>>10970848
There's quite a few things they could've gone for with effects with coral, it's pretty disappointing there's none
>>
>>10970746
I'm almost glad there's no effects because it would have driven her price up even further. I think they should have ditched the metal parts though, they're trying to pass this almost as some MRD-lite at damn near current MRD prices. If she wasn't a good bit bigger I would have passed, but hobby genki having her down to 14k with the exchange rate being what it is helped me pull the trigger.

hope at least you get your money back soon
in any case, we most likely will soon get a new MB SF thanks to the movie

Makes me feel like murder. Seemingly the first compensation/indemnity thing was done after my second inquiry, and they never informed me of it, same with the second. The tracking was fiddled with, the package was gone as soon as it got out of customs one month ago. Such a fucking joke. Even if we do get another MB SF it'll be based on the movie so it'll have the movie backpack, while I like it I'd rather have the regular funnels backpack. Also it'd probably be 50k yen and pbandai only
>>
>>10971740
>The tracking was fiddled with, the package was gone as soon as it got out of customs one month ago
what a fucking horror story
which country are you from?
this is exactly why I get nerveous when buying thye progressively more expensive stuff, cheeky fuckers at customs can just notice the price tag, weight or origin address of an item and decide to just keep it
has already happened to me with a couple of figuarts and even electronic components
>>
>>10971745
Francistan. What worries me now is that the same nigger will keep looking for my name on packages, I import stuff every month, I never had issues with anything before but I feel like that's going to change. I'll be going to the police soon but I doubt they'll do anything, they didn't lift a finger when burglars stole everything in our house

Where these 30MM could be POed right now?

I honestly feel like there’s a good chance we’ll get final “anniversary” reissues for the Destiny and SF before they do the FREEDOM versions, they’re two of the most popular Metal Builds and the line’s 15th anniversary is next year. Truth be told I’m not expecting any FREEDOM Metal Builds until after the Impulse and hopefully the Infinite Justice get released.

>>10971879
Seems like they're still available for PO on HLJ. Local shops too depending on where you live

Got the Type D set in earlier this week and finally had a chance to get it set on the GN Arms. Gonna have to mess with it a bit more to get pose just right, which is really just height and angle of the cannon and missile pod. I previously had Dynames' shields open with him aiming down his sniper, but the open full shields didn't really fit with the side arms now equipped, so I closed it back up. Might be cool to ditch the full shield and have Dynames do something a bit more dynamic in there.
Overall it's a cool set. I don't remember how much I paid, I think 180something? If you don't have a GN Arms to attach it to I think it's an easy pass, but the pics with it on just the dynames alone look pretty cool. I didn't bother with any other configurations, I knew the full set was what I wanted so I went right to it. I'm not sure if the whole thing is really worth roughly 1k USD spent, but I do know if I had to seriously downsize my collection, it would stay.
