I wanted to start a thread to talk about historical figures or similarly themed figurines.

Freeing has published the table museum collection as well these neat iron maiden figurines, and i want more of this.

Figures based on famous historical objects are something i wish more companies would do
>>
Kaiyodo made some 15th century Gothic knight figures. They had a couple of variations and a few colors, including an armored horse.

Those look great, i also would love to hear stuff similar to table musuem if anyone knows of any similar figurines. There really isnt many companies or groups that seem to make figurines based on famous objects
>>
Biblical Adventures is doing Jesuses, saints, Romans, demons and other interesting stuff

FREEing's Table Museum line is pretty unique. Kaiyodo's Takeyashiki Jizai Okimono line (where the pictured armor comes from) were somewhat similar, at least the armors and Shinto-based statues, anyway.
I think Sentinel did an antique diving suit that is *kind of* in the theme. But yeah, the TM line is pretty much it.

>kike fairy tails, which are nothing but stollen and perverted summerian/egyptian myths and actually spiritual texts
OP said historical, not some warmongering inbred retards' cult stories

Kaiyado also did a buddha statue based on a particular national treasure specifically

ive been real tempted to buy the neca Boris Karloff mummy & sarcophagus accessory set. It looks great from pictures but It IS neca, so I'm not sure how awful the quality is...

Yeah. Kaiyodo has done a lot of that kind of stuff on the gashapon/trading figure side, not actually figures, though.
Oh, figma also did a Hokkaido higma (ceramic brown bear) that would definitely qualify.

I know a lot of people had issues with this figure but I always thought it was really cool.
>>

What's the historical value of Iron Maidens? Their use as a medieval torture/execution device has been debunked as myth, it's just something people in the victorian era made up to show off as a supposedly historic attraction and wow the public with absurd over the top contraptions like this.

Still historical.

You’re probably one of those guys who says Pluto isn’t a planet.
>>
>>10959409
What scale is he?
>>
>>10959690
It’s definitely not a bad figure. Might just need to boil the joints first, I had to since my arm swivel seemed to be stuck
>>
>>10961276
5.78"/147mm or so. Officially non-scale.
>>
>>10959886
I liked how he was different from the knight on foot with slightly altered armor, big pointy sollerets, and long horse riding spurs. The horse itself was also pretty cool. Wish they'd redo them at a slightly altered scale or make different European armors at least.
>>
>>10959565
These look cool. Is there a historical basis for the ark of the covenant looking like that or has Indiana Jones just cemented that look for it.
>>

Mummy thicc.

I need to get caught up on the Table Museum figures. They're fun, but I fell off of collecting them a while back. I did get the DX Tut, though.

>>10959409
I picked up two of these guys so I could have them joust on my desk, and I never even got around to unboxing them. I should get them out of the closet.
>>
>>10966066
I got DX Tut too. Felt like a bit of a rip-off but I love Ancient Egyptian stuff so I couldn't pass it up. Looking forward to Vermeer's Milk Maid. Hope they rerelease some of the older ones like Venus di Milo and the cherubs like they did with the Winged Victory. Plaster Thinker would be cool too, although I still need to grab the bronze one. Since Table Museum Annex isn't exclusively art objects like paintings and sculpture but things that had other purposes like the moai statues and Tut's sarcophagus, I hope FREEing might pull a Kaiyodo and do an armor set or two, that would be really cool. Venus of Willendorf too.
>>
>>10970105
i just wonder what will come after the milk maid honestly, i do hope we get some armors or objects than more paintings
>>
Luv me, Playmobil

Tut DX wasn't a very good value, especially compared to the likes of the terracotta warrior or Otani Oniji. I still eventually bought him.
>>
Still waiting on a Figma Christ The Redeemer or Sistine Chapel.
>>
>>10971588
For sure, I definitely didn't appreciate the cost for what I got. The Shakoki-Dogu was also not a good value given the price and what you got. The milkmaid seems like a pretty sweet deal comparatively. I liked the terracotta warriors a lot but I wanted to get 3 of them so I could pose them all together with the different heads, unfortunately I didn't have the money at the time for even one.

The mummy might be Karloff but the sarcophagus is Steve Martin
