>>10965238>>10965244>>10965250Actually if you can deal with the broad bodies, particularly at the hips, the Crime Syndicate Superwoman and Flash movie Supergirl are probably your best bets if you mean Toddslop only. Some of the DC Direct had more perky breasts, perhaps, like the Rule 63 Superwoman that is also with the Batwoman from that wave, but she has a very distinct face. So your best bet might be this, which tends to be way overpriced on the secondary market just because it's a bit hard to find.

>>10965376Ok, he WOULDN'T, judging by that figure.
>>10965366The way Todd does shoulders bugs me so much.
>>10965360I finally found one two months ago for a good price, used, with some paint smears that I was actually able to clean up, and she was part of a lot of about 5 figures that I will be able to flip 2-3 (for either what I paid or close) for the entire lot, so it was essentially free. I don't like the cape, it's excessively big, but that's actually accurate to the comic book. Her figure is good one, I can understand not liking the hair - but again, accurate to the comic. If all that is an issue, the Lucy Lane Superwoman from the New Krypton wave is probably more your speed since she has longer hair but she's even way more overpriced and I've never seen her loose, secondhand, in over a year plus of looking through sites.Todd makes truly SHITTY female figures. Don't defend that slop just to hate on DC Direct; it's not even Mattel you're bashing.
>>10965387Its mostly just how some imports do it although a bit cheaply with the washer just covering the gaps rather than an actual butterfly joint
>>10965355thanks for putting me in the right direction
>>10965401With mcfarlane you as always have to be really picky. A lot of the figures are bad but they make some good ones too. The superwoman and supergirl from target are pretty bad for example. But the Injustice 2 Supergirl headsculpt is pretty nice

>>10966683>Betting on AmazonDangerous business
>>10966269For some yes, but my intent is that the execution of the design doesn't match the McFarlane style of 2020. I don't know if there could be an execution of Ambush Bug's design that does, but it'd require actual paint on the figure besides its head for one. Something they weren't willing to do.
Todd is just the worst when it comes to this shit.
>>10966481>Why does it need 3 weeks to be delivered once it releases?Because when McFarlane ships like 5000 units of a figure to Amazon, it doesn't get delivered, processed and sent off to the people who preordered in a day.
>>10967017Todd does not like it when people speak ill of the grapefruit.
Looks way too small for 7 inch
>>10964372Average McFarlane fan
>>10967079These seem dangerously unprofitable the more niche they go with them. I can see Keaton's Batmobile, but deep diving into stuff like a design used in a few trade paperbacks seems like a futile effort.
>>10967017Todd knows that variants are what killed comics in the 90s, right?
>>10967085Variants keep toys alive due to molds being the #1 cost. There's no real issue with him making these dumb repaints and gimmicks since they're so niche they're entirely optional. Now something like platinums of different looks or random waves costing $40 is far more egregious as these impact the average fan of the line.

>>10967214I would've left it had it been on the back as well. I'd rather it be uniform. Hopefully when it gets rereleased with a plastic cape it won't be half finished.
>>10967220A better solution would be to add your own wash on the back (or redo the whole thing with your own wash). It doesn't have to be perfect or look exactly the same as the factory wash as the back is less noticed. It's useful to know how to do a wash for customizing, as it can really help a figure's details stand out better.
>>10967228The option is always there but I don't want to. I think it still looks great without a wash.
>>10967085>Todd knows that variants are what killed comics in the 90s, right?Thats an odd way of saying pump and dump speculators and bandwagon riding comic publishers flooding the market but its ok. Nope variant covers killed the stupid comic boom of the 90s. I dont wanna sound like a cock sucker man but damn.
>>10967241Calm down Todd
>>10965419NP>>10965422>With mcfarlane you have to be really picky. >... Injustice 2 Supergirl headsculptSee, this is my issue. I've been fine with some McFarlane figures. I understand the complaints people have with the Bermejo Page Puncher but I ended up with two because I bought one at Target and then ended up winning an auction for another new one for $10; one will end up being fodder when I get more free time. Same with Red Son and that Solar Suit (Lois & Clark) Superman. But other things I regretted or returned or simply passed them by. These people saying, I used this head and these wrists and these feet, I just don't understand why they want to go to that much work. I can see fixing a few things. Especially if I don't have to pay full retail to do so. More than that is a waste of time and annoying.>>10965562The Super Powers are fine at $9.99 each. I was at this store last Christmas, and they were there, with more of that BTAS stock as well. In fact, that entire section was full, including Retro Bat '66 crap and some Super Powers, and yesterday it was just seven things (if you count the two Disney toys) from Todd in that area. >>10968420We've seen Arkham Catwoman.
>>10968271Could someone modify this Catwoman to have a better crotch?
>>10968435only if its for making her dong bigger
I dont know what the hell to get anymore. i just want a batman thats fun to pose that isnt hush
>>10968444Amazing Yamaguchi Batman? Not that I've ever had one
>>10968444Get the first appearance Batman with the purple gloves. It's the Hush body but a fabric cape so it won't get in the way.
>>10968368>I never thought there'd be a reference to GL:Mosaic anywhere everthere's been toys of that suit before
>>10968457I think people are more surprised because DC have been reluctant to acknowledge it at all since Gerard Jones was convicted in 2018.
>>10968517Actually fuck it nevermind, looks like they just did a War Journal variant cover referencing it a couple months ago. Great series by the way, it and the Adams GL run are probably the best two books DC are putting out right now.
>>10968444as far as mcfarlanes go, the DC Comics 27/ First Appearance Batman is the most fun I've had posing a Batman from them
>>10968551So this is the new meme Batman after Knightfall
>>10968562no lol
>>10968562Surprising what a wired cape can do for popularity.

>>10968585it probably won't. the freakishly long legs on the body they used don't look good in any pose. >>10968562i dont think so. im just a weirdo who really likes this one a lot.
>>10968640There's a few youtubers raving about it too. The cape looks great but my problem is I already have too many Batmen and this isn't exactly my favorite look by a mile.

>>10968383He's gonna be in the new Superman movie.
>>10969352That would be a movie figure though which may not work as a comic figure. If they have a brain they'll do a comic ver around the same time to benefit from cross-promotion

>>10965333Bro what the fuck is this figure from? I looked at that website and it mentions Knight Force Ninjas line but I don’t see this one in that line, and parachute Batman gets me nada.
>>10969519now that you mention that it maybe a custom bash between these two. still they are both good figures. part of me thinks it could have been a toyfair exclusive from baack in the day/warner shop exclusive
>>10969593Damn I think you are right, imma have to snag that Azrael and these two someday.
>>10969605If i were you id try to make sure the seller tellers you theiur conditions since the action features on these guys specifically loosen the joints real easily and most the figures i had back in the day wound up with legs and and arms basically becoming noodles even if you are extremely delicate.while we're on topic look at this guy he has 4 buttons on his back that make him kick and punch hes the most obnoxious thing i own. he s also bigger than most mcfarlane figures
>>10968650Stop posting these im getting jelly
>>10969209>as fodder.I already found the Krypto from that useless Mullet Supes Krypto box on EB for $5. >>10968383>>10969352>>10969358Yeah, it will be a piece of plastic that barely looks like a badly aging Rick Castle in an awful bowl hair cut.A doll that looks like the father (or maybe grandfather) of Malcom Reynolds who got fat butt then had too lard sucked out to wear any form fitting clothes, so you'll get a GL Guy outfit with something that looks like slacks or even cargo pants, and a very thick version of the sweater vest jacket.
>>10969209That's most McFarlanes I buy>>10969635You're actually stupid. Your line of thinking is moronic.
>>10969613Thanks for the advice anon! I also will have to look into that one, I got soft spot for stupid stuff like that.
>>10968551You are probably right. im sure the next mefex might be the only thing that comes close for the forseeable future (unless todd really embraces the cloths capes more which im down for) im really upset the targets and games i check didnt have the DC27
>>10969730McF can't really go back to the plastic capes now that people have gotten a taste of cloth capes, especially with how many figures have had them. It's about the only premium thing McF does.
speaking of cloth capes, didn't think this would be in until tomorrow. glad to finally have a cassandra cain after passing on the dcsh 16 years ago when i first started collecting again.
>>10969768swapped the hands instantly
>>10969768>>10969770Is it really just the Batgirl buck with a new head/cape?

>>10969842The six pack version has a cloth cape.
>>10969821>>10969842Can you guys find smaller images?

>>10969821I don't care for Batmobiles, nor vehicles for caped superheroes in general.Dynamic plastic capes > blankets/towels on wireAnd to be fair, i haven't really seen McFarlane's new cloth capes in person, so maybe they're nicer than your general cloth cape from other lines.
>>10969851Yes, I do.
>>10969852how dare you besmirch micromen, their one weakness was their capes and they only have plastic because they're so small todd doesnt have that scaling issue theres no excuse.you've had several decades of plastic capes to pick from its time to let the cloth reign
>>10969867post it u wont
>>10969872Already knew this was coming
>>10969807It doesn't to me, especially if they have a flat, straight down cape but you're trying to do a dynamic pose jumping to the right or left.
>>10969877cool box bro but i dont think that will fit in the tumbler
>>10969890I didn't buy these to PLAY with them, these are gonna pay for my kid's college fund.
>>10969868i hope that's real leather, because that fuzzy texture on pleather is tacky as fuck. Also, looks bad. Both sides should have the grain leather texture if it's pleather, but that would add even more thickness, huh?I think DCD and Mezco have best cloth capes, but even then, i still prefer plastic. There's no hope for cloth when it bunches and bulks around the seams.

>>10969894it was my first custom from like 2018 i probably shouldnt have posted that as an example. cape is waaay to thick and it isnt even the right shape. i just dont have to many cloth caped batmen atm which is kinda why i want todd to do more so i dont need to create more abominations
>>10969905Looks better than anything Mexco ever did
>>10969904>I built a bigger shedImplying anyone on this board can do manly stuff like that. Get your butt back inside mister.
>>10969909its on par i really dont like that neca figure at all, but back then it was hot shit
>>10969905should have used bridal leather. You can also shave off the fuzziness on calf/lamb skin and it's much thinner. It's not hard, but you can fuck it up, but when you're working on a small scale, you have plenty of material to work with even if you only buy one square foot of leather. With real cloth, you kinda need to learn how to sew. Also, they sell plenty of custom capes on ebay. I'm sure they're all quality. Kinda expensive tho.Anyway, nothing really will ever match the perfectness of plastic. Always dynamic and looks most accurate.
>>10969932just get a statue you contrarian
>>10969932Why not just buy statues then?
Plastic capes are a relic from the era when people could only A pose their figures because they had 10 poa max.
>>10969932>Anyway, nothing really will ever match the perfectness of plastic. Always dynamic and looks most accurate. But the plastic capes in the very picture you posted aren't dynamic.
>>10969173>dat cope
>>10969944Still wouldn't pay 25 for it.
>>10969944Are they going to make Batman Returns Catwoman?
>>10969932if i cant do this i dont want it
>>10969894That cape looks trash. Not sure why they went with that material in the first place.
>>10969952fitting for a batman thats shaped like a garbage can
>>10969939They're dynamic. Here's what a nondynamic cloth looks like.No life. No air going through it to look full. For non-wire superhero cloth capes, it looks flat and doesn't have taht ruffled shape people associate with cape comics (those peaks on the edges, that eventually became part of the cape design). Most toylines when they use wired cloth look like they're using blankets and towels, and usually an unfinished looking underside. No natural looking folds either, unlike plastic capes that are sculpted to look natural.
>>10969970My idea of dynamic is moving with the character in a natural manner. This is possible with wired capes, >>10969768 while more limited with plastic ones since they're mostly static
>>10969970>>10969934
>>10969934Just cut a piece out of an old shirt or your underwear if you want a fabric cape.
>>10969980static (as in one pose) yeah, but dynamic nonetheless. And like i said, yeah, cloth can be more dynamic, but it's usually too thick and the underside usually looks unfinished.Again, if McFarlane made a really nice cloth, I can't really say until i've seen it in person. Black can be hard to judge, because it absorbs shadows. Also, the picture you linked to has Robin with his plastic cape looking super nice. Just look at how the cape gives itself shadows. Its closer to the comics than a cloth cape can be.I forget if they have that really nice thin silicon rubber too.
>>10969970heres ur dynamic cape pose
>>10969995He would consider that dynamic by his definition. But maybe just not a good figure. People seemed to dislike the mcfarlane cartoon figures so they stopped getting made. Now some people's teams will be forever incomplete.
>>10969905I have the same Batman (great figure but it's more of a statue, the articulation is worthless) and used pleather. Like >>10969932 said you can shave that fuzz, I went an extra mile, sanded then used a hot iron to give it shape to the wrinkles. It's not leather in the movie, I believe it's some fabric with a coating of latex/rubber.
>>10970004It's not my definition, it's literally the English language's definition. Why don't you consider drawings to be dynamic, just because they're stuck in a single pose forever and ever? You just have a very narrow or selective view.Check out these shadows, which are more faithfully reproduced on plastic capes. No paint apps are even needed.
>>10970041fuck off subby
>>10969851>>10969821>>10969842I also do not have that 6 pack, but I did slap an extra cloth cape that I had on Bale. For the life of me, I can't get a good photo angle, but it does show how you can get some more dynamic poses with the cloth capes. I'm fairly happy with this one but I'll probably replace him with the mafex if it ever gets a reissue.
>>10967171>>10964351Computer generated comics!? This was a thing? I wouldn't mind getting figures of these iterations.
>>10970088It's basically just early photoshop comics.15 years later they did another digital only comic book and it looks a million times worse.
>>10970111some more shit
>>10970111>a million times worseyou mean better. Early 90's CGI is kino while 80's EGA shit looks like ass. I get that this war machine comic is ass and is actually from the early 00's but it still has that silicone workstation/90's CGI look.
>>10970114You're dumb.Crash looks like stylized amazing that puts any current pixel game shit to shame and would have been praised in the 90s by anyone who enjoyed SEGA CD or PCE VNs.Whereas WM2.0 was written by the worst writer Marvel had at the time and looks like unfunny bootleg shit from the 90s. Irredeemable trash, except i guess from people who enjoy that Jerma guy.
>>10970119Yeah none of what you said has anything to do with what I pointed out. Crash looks like the worst of the 16 bit era, though I will point out that we don't have the benefit of viewing them on CRT's which would definitely help. And yeah of course the art style would have been praised in the early 90's PC's were shit even compared to consoles and that shit was pre-rendered. I'm not pixel-art hater, I just have a soft-spot for 90's CGI. Those 80's comics would look great with a scanline filter or something if you ever wanted a fun way to reread them.
>>10970122are you seriously a parody of the retarded dad who gets his kid bootleg pixar movies and thinks they're just as good just cause they use cgi?
>>10970137Reading comprehension is not your strong suit, it appears. That's ok, I will clarify. Yes, I realize the Warmachine comic is an utter abomination. I'm just saying I think the art style looks better and that I'm not a fan of the pixel-art style that Crash uses. Seriously try the scanline idea btw, I think it could be cool to read those early digital comics the same way the designers made them.
>>10970139>Reading comprehension is not your strong suitYeah, no.>I'm just saying I think the art style looks bettersee? parody of retarded dad who gets his kids bootleg pixar films because he thinks cgi looks great just cause it's cgi.

>>10970280>don't talk to me or my batson ever again
>>10970479>>10970485I wanted some of the Gentle Giant micro figs and the cheapest way to get them was to buy a new lot from a seller off EB, I ended up with a few of these (the smaller 3.75" versions, the Aquaman and the Hawkgirl so I am guessing those were the least popular) and a Logan. If I even get $3-4 each plus the shipping, of course, I'll recover my expense. I'm going to make a custom with a Todd Slop from this show, but I would have no interest in a body buck that matched Bruce Timm's model style. But I'm probably not the key audience for that art, and this these toys.
