Same. I feel like getting Saitama will be an easy pickup, but I'm not entirely sure on the rest, but we'll see how they turn out. Also I hope for more Yu-Gi-Oh. 2 protags and 2 of their signature monsters wouldn't be a weird place to end it, but I'd love for either more of their monsters (Flame Wingman makes a ton of sense) or if they want to go with new duelists and their monsters that works too. Lots of other cool stuff in the Revoltech pipeline but I think those are my main interests for now.

I'm gonna get saitama and genos probably. Genos will probably have a bunch of cool tech effects and I'm looking forward to a saitama with decent faces, I hate that the dasin and figma dont come with a neutral face, which is what he has like 99% of the time. Some of his funnier reaction faces would be good too. I don't know what punch effects theyd give him, all might shockwaves or consecutive normal punches would be enough. Plus he'll probably have a wired cape which is much nicer than the hard plastic ones

My concern with Genos is the look they showed off, it just isn't one I much care for. If it was that 'dragon armor' from the MA arc, or even the black tanktop I'd be more inclined. With Garou, he's got his main look, so that works in his favor. I guess that's always the problems with import lines, it doesn't feel as likely that we'll get other versions of the same characters, so do we compromise with looks we may not care all that much for, or support the line and hope that's enough to reach other characters AND eventually other looks for ones already made.

You misunderstand my intention. It is damage control for DC because DC toys started the whole no guns movement and that's no conspiracy. DC toys coming out in the States started taking out gun accessories. Japanese companies noticed this and started doing the same but didn't make a clear distinction between DC and Marvel. Recently Japanese companies have realized Marvel wasn't really doing that in America so eased off a bit. If all of this was voluntary for Japan or had some official intervention from License holders I think nobody knows for sure. I think it was voluntary because it is all very inconsistent. A cloth suit for Genos would be pretty good actually, since they'd be able to sculpt all his robotic details under there, plus that essentially gets you a second look. Since these are functionally S2 looks, I wonder if S3 could be an excuse for retreads with the dragon armor, and monster Garou, but it seems doubtful we'd get second versions so soon after.

Now that I think about it I wonder what they'll do for Saitama. A muscular body or his casual loose fitting look. Amusingly this (along with Oppai hoodie) could probably be excuses for a second Saitama.

All I can think of is additional stuff for deku's new quirks, but I don't remember if he wears a different costume when he starts using them, after the edgy vigilante look. I think he has a yellow scarf thing so if its just that it could be added but I'm sure there are probably more minor changes to the straps and lines on his suit too. honestly I had to think long about this and it still seems pretty niche, but I have some ideas, I tried to include something for most of the characters
1. Principal Nezu - would mostly be static, maybe some basic arm articulation could come with cup of tea and maybe a swap out head
2. Swap out Aizawa missing leg- happens during his fight with Shigaraki so it makes sense
3. Endeavor unpowered face - I tried to avoid swap out heads/faces but this seems like something that should have been with the original figure
4. Hawk’s endeavor doll - could be a cute accessory for hawks to hold
5. Deku crying face - I mean it’s Deku and it’d be pretty memeworthy
6. Bakugo’s best Jeanist swap out haircut - again, another funny moment and would work well if we eventually get best Jeanist
7. All might action figure or doll - would work well with deku
8. Swap out battle damaged arms for all might - this is part of his pose after he beats all for one and is an iconic moment, could come with battle damaged head as well
Again, this would probably never happen and probably wouldn’t sell well but I was bored and I’m probably forgetting things that would work as better accessories but oh well

AY superheroes especially the women figures are going for that anime proportions. That's evidentially clear from the fake Shunya style sculpts. Not the crazy idealized reality proportions of comics and thus their figures like Multiverse and ML. So it's kinda dumb to compare them. Catwoman's head size is a step in the right direction as she looks like the same scale as the male AY. Just compare her to the tiny head like WW.

I went and checked the manga about what Genos did while in that form that was shown for the announcement. Just to get an idea what he might come with. Besides the obvious hand blasts effects, I think the main accessories would be shoulder rockets effect, arm blades, and maybe elbow rocket parts. Maybe recreate the rocket punch with smooth peg for elbow joints and not bother with the elbow rockets when the arms are attached. Oh and faces and hands of course.

I doubt they wold do the double arm crazy cannon thing, it would be one solid replacement piece anyways and that's kind of boring and limiting because the budget will probably eradicate the other accessories.

Reveal to release is never constant in time. Don't forget all the figures that we never see a prototype, we just find out a few days before PO. MHA gets announced on Jump websites and comes along pretty quickly. It has nothing to do with the sculptors (but you can't deny Yamaguchi is or was one of the fastest figure sculptors) probably more to do with IP on how willing they are at showing the process. For example I don't even think release order is the actual order they were worked on or finished.

About the bootleg:
Size is the same as original. Neck area looks bad. Shoulder joints cannot be hidden. Knee joints look bad from behind. Thighs are slightly thinner. Paintjob is horrible.
Positive: joints are not loose. I did not try but seems like parts can be swapped with the original.

There is definitely a charm to the universal joints letting you swap almost any figure part out. Its even works on figma somtimes. Figma is also insanely parts swappable but Ive only done headswaps. Feels too easy to lose track of what body parts got mixed with what.

I don't think so. I'm still not 100% sure on how international distribution rights work on these figures. To my understanding most Japanese figures and kits are made only for sales in Japan anyways, so who would care where they end up after Kaiyodo sell to the retailers?

There wasn't much limitations before the great disposal of distributors, just the odd random few. What changed for sure is less discounts on the revos, like DC gets none. So then maybe the stores think it's not worth selling them because they have to charge so much to see profits, might as well sell something else. And not to keep shitting on DC but it's a good example, their movies sucks. So natural to think related products won't sell. Add the no discounts to that I can see stores not wanting to carry them, or only sell within Japan.

I've made it to the Joint Hero Arc of the manga and I think it's a genuienely fantastic super hero comic that stays on the simple side for better and worse. Characters are fun, action is good, the good guys are heroic, and the bad guys are dastardley.

I can see it going to shit the moment it tries to be too deep, but it's definitely worth a read for the good stuff, and this is coming from someone that's several years late to the party.

It's pretty good. Not neatly as good as it's fans make it out to be but if you like Shounen it's a solid story. As for how you experience it, I prefer the original manga but I've always been more of a manga reader than an anime watcher so I may be bias.

I thought Kaiyodo was going off trend a lot doing Railgun now, but turns out there are a bunch of stuff coming. There are a few statues and now a model kit by Kadokawa themselves. I think anon is thinking beyond the pose. The knees get about 90 degrees, but the skirt will likely be a hard plastic, so a hard stop for leg range. I'm unfamiliar with this model series but the torso doesn't look like it'll get a lot of motion, as otherwise it feels like they'd give her a bit more of a bend there. But who knows, maybe anon is just a salty guy and it'll move fine, but there's always the difference between handling a pvc/abs figure and a model kit.
