Hola!
>>11003027The RLC car is now the second best purple Skyline in 1/64.
Still no idea what all this crud in the package is.Took the car out and there's a tiny bit of scuffing on the rear but nothing that would make all this sooty crap.
>>11003531Was the crud inside or outside the plastic? Because if it was inside the more likely answer is that during packaging the car fell in a pile of shredding, the little metal filaments that fly off when you're polishing/modeling the metal parts of it. It must have fallen, picked up, not dusted and placed in the package. If it's not metal filament, then I'm not too sure. And if it's outside the package, shit, maybe it fell on the dirt during movement.
>>11003556It was on the inside of the packaging so must be filaments like you say.
A Siku Porsche set with a licensed trailer I was photographing tonight.
How come there's no girly Hot Wheels? Did they try it in the past and it didn't work very well so they stopped, like the girly Nerf guns? Or they just never cared enough about the girl market to try?
>>11003919there are some girly cars
>>11003919
>>11002972Oh boy. They're doing an EJ1 coupe too
>>11004192
>>11004192>>11004193>some jap shitbox no one gives a fuck about>ohhhhhh guys they done it again!!!kys
>>11002972Where can I buy SBM 1:256 diecast?
>>11004192>>11004193Holy shit, I was waiting for that for so long. Best I could find in 1:64 were the eg hatches or 6th gen coupes by HotWheels
>>11004250Sometimes I want to mock people who are interested in that shit, but I feel the same way about generic American sedans from the 70s-90s that probably also don't deserve to be made into diecast, so whatever. I'm happy for them.
I've found my Holy Grail, lads! This is it, I'm out of the game!
>>11004343nice cat, whack holy grail
is it "cats with cars" time?
>>11004380no it's not, shut the fuck up poorfag
>>11004380>>11004395okay I'm sorry, the kitten looks cute, I just have these mood swings, and I thought that starting a conflict is at least going to keep this thread alive :(
>>11004331They deserve to be made into diecast god i want one of these in every scale
>>11004508I'm a big fan of the Matchbox police Caprice. I really want a good stock version of the 93-96 Fleetwood, though, because I used to own one. I know Jada made a handful of shitty low-rider/donk versions or whatever.
>>11004192How’s the quality on these? They seem to be the only people I can find making a half-decent looking De Tomaso Pantera at this scale.>>11004250Faggot.
>>11004192>>11004193Para 64 is frustratingly inconsistent. Some of their cars are bangers and others are a big letdown. Pic related. But I guess for the price they're alright.
>>11004327I know right? We have a surplus of Ej1 hatchbacks in 1/64 scale. I'm glad to see that the coupe is finally getting some love too.>>11004250>he doesn't know about the Ej1 coupes
>>11003934>>11003936I meant in their regular lineup. How come I can't just walk into a store and get a girly Hot Wheels for a buck without it being more expensive, special collab releases?
>>11004192>>11004557>>11005092Speaking of Para64, I finally decided to buy this CTR2. I has been saved on my wish list for more than a year.I will post pictures when it arrives,
>>11005178Everything in those pictures from 2018 on (except the monster trucks) is a regular, $1 release in the basic assortment, anon.
>>11004250this (only when it's honda)
>>11003934that 2023 barbie corvette is pretty
>>11004534can't say im a huge fan of matchbox's casting. maybe some parts looks to thick of me, but their upcoming caprcie sedan looks good, and just looked up the jada fleetwood, not much pics, they look pretty good but must be super rare, chinks have recently made a 1/64 model of it although its quite expensive and made a 1/18 of it toohttps://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=k_oH82JWZxA
>EEERRRMMM I like this cheap chink shit and this cheap chink shit.OMG shut the fuck up and get your money up and buy some high grade diecast, not some poorfag shit...ffs
>>11006888Learn to take a picture you daft witless fuck.
>>11006888High grade? Just because there's a carbon fiber pattern on it doesn't mean it's high grade. Does it have openable doors/boot? Does it have suspension? Plastic headlights?
>>11006911>>11006922>some chinklet poorfags got madshhhhhhhh.... it's okay
>>11006929Just answer the question, poster.
As a rally car enjoyer, excited for this. Had all their 037 and some Maxi Turbo, they just need to release the Quatro and we're good
>>11006888every diecast is made in china now tho
>>11006929>posts 2 cars worth $150 that were made in the United States>chinklet poorfagOk bud.
>>11006953>worth $150the cope is hard with this one, your muttbay price is not an original retail price, stupid poorfag.
>>11006956I spent $150 on them because $150 is not a lot of money to me. I buy plenty of cars with jacked up MSRPs too.
>>11006959>I buy plenty of cars with jacked up MSRPs too.Idiot detected
>>11006888EEERRMMM i like PREMIUM bag of shit, i work at mcdonald, i'm better than you>>11006959>i have $10000, thus i don't care if someone robs me €1K, i'll have €9K leftanons, WHAT. THE. FUCK?is anons pretending to be retarded the only way left to not let the /dcg/ die in the sea of /toy/ spam?
>>11008176Supply and demand you communist.
>>11008176What the fuck does that even mean, you fucking poorfag spic, post your diecast you fucking homeless mongoloid
>>11006859>their upcoming caprcie sedan looks goodMBX is making another caprice?
>>11008709woops my bad meant to say caprice wagon, but its actually a buick roadmaster
>>11009317Luv me matchbox
After a few years, I finally loaded up the Rally Case.
>>11009751Nice group of cars but at least pack them with some paper towels or something.
>>11009972I see I'm not the only one who does this. I have about 12 more cases, roughly 1200 more cars to retroactively wrap and place back in lol
>>11009751I used to have one of those cases at my granparents' house, it belonged to one of my much older cousins. I still remember how irked I was by how bad of a case it actually was, since you had to put cars in some compartments in weird ways, and some longer castings just wouldn't even fit in most of them. Really kinda forces you to realize how much lower the bar was for boomers; some fat lazy fuck working for mattel designed that shitty "case" that doesn't even do a half-decent job of holding shit, and he probably retired on it.
>>11009751>meanwhile european logical smoothsailingsuch a good thrift find, love this thinggreat way to sort and organize my favourite cars that spread around on a desk when i need some workspace and clean up some clutter
>>11009972>paper towelsNo, paper towels are abrasive. If you're going to pack them with anything, use cotton or tissues.
>>11009751>puts highly scratchable rlc's in a plastic shitboxgenius....
>>11011760If you use cotton, you're only going to protect only so much of the car before the rest of it bangs the plastic inside, or another car if it's a shared space. Tissues are fine, but very thin. Paper towels might be abrasive, but as long you don't jostle the case around a bunch or the car is secure enough not to flop about in it's space, it should be fine. With that thought, has anyone else noticed that with basic Hot Wheels, and Premiums (excluding the Spectraflame paint), the paint colors are always the same? There red on one car is the same red as on another. Something easy to gloss over when tampos are meant to capture your attention. I get that they are built to be as cheap as possible, but I've noticed that when cleaning the rivets off on mine before storing my loose cars that some paints are very hard, like the bright/regular yellow, whereas the blacks seem to be softer. Using a toothpick to clean it up, (Yeah criticize me about that, idgaf), I've noticed metallics are also softer paints. The gloss colors generally the hardest.
>>11012601what?
>>11012601
Still no sign of either a 1/18 or 1/64 cast of the front engined NSX GT500, Spark has drafted the last Type-S model, and Tomica just released the 2018 champ, that is not the weird FR model I wanted
Is this Plum Crazy? No, it's not mine, but I do collect the D100s
>>11003934I have the silver car, one of the Dream Campers, and the RV Monster Truck. I think i'm going to get the pink Vette the next time i see one.
>>11014298>but I do collect the D100spost pics, I'm interested in seeing your collection
What's your dream diecast model? For me it's AutoArt making a diecast Z31.They've already made a couple of the Wangan Midnight cars, they should make Harada's Z31.
>>11002972Posting the previous thread >>10974150
>>11017368stfu
>>11017278I still say we need more concept cars in diecast form. Any brand will do, just make it happen. My top picks:Pontiac Special A-BodyGM-X StilettoFord Ranger IIFord Seattle-ite XXI
>>11005178>whiner has no clue about the subject of their complaintsWeird how this keeps happening nowadays.
>>11003238Is that the pop race skyline?
>>11019295No, Tomica Limited Vintage.
>>11017278I want a full lineup of iconic "shark fin design" cars of 1959 General Motors. In 1/64 scale of Autoworld quality or better.Right now i could easily find a Cadillac and Chevrolet, but Oldsmobile, Buick and Pontiac dont exist in 1/64
>>11019970Second this with Mid 2000s GM W Bodies. I like base models, but I'll take super Special editions like an SLP GTX Grand Prix
>>11017278Currently I just want a Ford Escort that doesn't have a shitty Lime/metallic green paint job.
>>11017278A definitive De Tomaso Pantera.I got my first Mini GT Kaido House car today. As someone who loves Fairlady Zs and tuner versions of them, I’m very happy with this.
>>11021618Astonishing detail for the scale.
>>11021620Great-looking car.
>>11021618>>11021620>>11021622This thing is sweet
>>11021618>>11021620>>11021622datsun friday much???
>>11021798Is that Hot Wheels or another brand? That metallic blue is really, really nice.
>>11022445It is a Hot Wheels 2018 rlc selections car!
>>11022465Interesting. That would have been around the time Jun Imai left as lead designer and went on to start Kaido House with Mini GT. Imai actually owns a 260Z he customised himself that looks very similar, I wonder if the Hot Wheels team meant anything by this?
>>11022631>I wonder if the Hot Wheels team meant anything by this? The selections car is being chosen by rlc members every year, then they choose colour, wheels and livery and the design team puts it all together, maybe Jun had to do something with it but looks more like a collab with greddy since the engine is labeled, picrel is a development sheet
>>11022999autism kicked in, here's the entire sheet of compiled material
My local flea market always has at least 4-5 tables with people just selling dozens of on-card Hot Wheels. I always wonder if they ever have anything good or where they got them. I just assume they were stolen or the person just bought a whole crate of them and is selling them at a markup.
>>11004343Found that one on a peg at a supermarket in Boston. I already have one of this casting, in blue #59, but fuck it, it was only a buck-fiddy.You can never have enough Ford GT's.
>>11024624>bostonNice, my son got that same cah at mahket bahsket the otha day.Just found the white version at stahp n shahp too.Haven't collected any cars since I was a kid, but now that I have a little car buddy I hyped to look for 'em!
I just started collecting and got a shitload of different multi-packs. I have no idea what cars are cool and what cars are shit. But I am happy to get a gold Honda Civic.
>>11025689>I have no idea what cars are cool>I am happy to get a gold Honda Civic. Then that's the one that's cool.
>>11025689Plus, outside of the civic, yellow porsche, and fiat 500, all of those castings are exclusive colors/releases of the year only found in the multipacks. Same can be said about the 20 packs as well
>>11025689cool cars are the ones that you like in the real life??? I guess??? Don't really know how it works, but usually it's the people who like real life cars who collect diecast.
Received something nice today: an Inno64 Liberty Walk F40.
>>11026486
>>11026488
>>11026489
>>11026490This is a really lovely model. Excellent details and extremely crisp paintwork.
Ever just walk into a Shaws (or other grocery store) not expecting to see any Hot Wheels, only to round a corner straight into two deep bins of current and previous year mainline singles?...I'm not sure if im thrilled or scared that I just bought $50 of tiny cars completely unplanned. Got 2x red Alfa Romeo GTV6 3.0 and 2x white '20 Toyota Tacoma that I was looking for though, so that was a nice surprise!
