Received a shipment of KO CoD figs yesterday; one of the store's listings was for 5 random figs for 5 bucks which I understood to be like the random Halo figs I'd previously bought several times before. Was surprised to see that they have actual blind bags for not-CoD, going by the listing pic and reviews there's at least four different series but they sent me 15 from the same series.Only opened one so far but presumably they all come with a stand and a sprue of weapons and gear, not bad at all for a buck a pop. The fig needs to be fully assembled like all the other such not-CoDs but this was one of the easiest I've ever had, everything popped in without a struggle. Already ordered another batch, hopefully they send me some from a different series but no big deal if it's more of the same.

So far this is the only store I've seen with the random figures option for the not-CoD stuff. I am a big collector of lego-scale firearms and I find they tend to look better in Mega hands than Lego.

Four of the bags were the same set as the first order, one was of this different set and the last back was a mix of the two. Have opened and assembled all the bags from the original and these are the results. The front and back of the bags imply there's 12 different figs in the series; in 38 bags I can confidently account for 11 different ones, though admittedly I lost track of which weapon sprue came with a particular fig. I ended up with a single sprue unlike any of the other ones (included a Vector smg) and the apparent figure list on the back shows one with a bolt-action sniper rifle that didn't make an appearance so who knows.There's two different vests/webbing, boot types and colors of hands; three colors of belts; four different heads (as far as I can tell) and types of headgear and some figs also included a bandana. QC issues were minimal, given the cheapness of the figures; one soldier had a deformed piece for attaching the legs (had a spare from previous orders), another was missing his beret, a couple heads had a minor fault with an eye from the pinpricking process to make the eyes. A few figs had random extras of body pieces (all included by default an extra arm joint piece). You'll notice the troops with the less common boot type (with kneepads) are standing at attention rather than more at ease like the rest - those boots can't really stand that far apart on studs, whereas the other boot type are angled inwards and conversely can't really stand at attention.I went ahead and ordered another half-dozen sets, telling myself last time heh.

The front and back strongly imply just about every different soldier should have a large firearm of some kind - 1 in 4 of mine fit this and they appear to be the same soldier. I feel the weapon sprues were generally consistent with the other set, hoping I'll get some more of this second one to see if the under-gunned trend continues. Could've done further studies with various bolt-action rifles, maybe another day. This was 7 years ago with every CoD weapon available at the time, some definitely more awkward than others.
