Got a guy to spill the beans at a local Walmart. Mods finally include them, but they're not arriving until past the 20th here. Everything is cross-referenced except for singles so far. If you can find them in the wild, that may be your best bet if those are delayed.
Idea for a bit concept. I call it "Light". It's a defence bit that is designed to maintain stamina by reducing surface area with the stadium floor.

I got the stadium set, and putting Mammoth Tusk together, there's resistance when you twist it into place. It feels like the ratchet has a god damn death grip on the blade, which isn't something that happens with my TT ones, but that might be a positive if it means it's harder to burst.

Finally got my hands on a X beyblade. (Keel) Shark Edge. I didn't realize they were so compact compared to the burst stuff. I think it's even smaller than my Nightmare Longinus. It's pretty cool, though, especially not getting punched in the dick by import fees...for now.
Also they need to create a green insect/grasshopper beyblade so I can have a tatoba combo.

You know what, after trying out beyblade x at a local event today I can say that it has almost the same amount of soul as MFB era. Clear distinct battle styles of each bey, and initially I thought all beys would take advantage of the ridge and make customization useless but I was dead wrong. Love the intense battles and the sound of the metal clacking.

Defense types are just shittier stamina types, and balance types are probably a better fit to try and beat out stamina because they still have some momentum after the first hit.

Taper is likely your best bet because it can utilize the extreme line and still have stamina unlike the flats. If you want something that hits hard you have Phoenix Wing, Hellhammers (or any Hells layer really), and Shark Edge at potential choices. Disclaimer: I keep all my gear stock (explained here >>11020059) so I have no idea whether or not my suggestions work with each other or not.
