The whole Simpsons family $19.99
I could nitpick but it feels like a decent deal.
>>
>>11070403
What scale is this?
>>
>>11070405
2.5" but they're also making 3.75" I believe.
>>

>>

I dont see it

Also could you post the DPCI of them for me or at least take a pic of their barcode?

No, it's a 5" line, and maybe a larger scale one too but that's not confirmed what size the largest ones with bases are yet. I'm thinking 6-7".

The 5" line is being found at Target now too. $12.99, basic hinged and swivel hinge articulation, plus an accessory or two. Again, not super incredible figures, but they seem like a good enough deal for the price.

Some Youtubers have reviews up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0AQFHOLJZQ
>>
>>11070403
I have no idea how these are priced so much lower than the Sonic lines. You'd think Disney-owned Simpsons would have a much higher licensing fee.

Sonic 2.5" figs are $5 each, 4" are $10, and the 5" Prime ones were $15.
>>
>>11070490
Have you seen the ratings for it?
Fewer people watch it now than the amount of people who watched shit like Fosters Home for Imaginary Children in the 00s.

Also, you have no idea how licensing works. Shit like pic is produced for dollar stores. Lots of companies can license expensive series and produce cheapo 12PoA toys.
Which really says a lot about how cheap toys actually are to produce.

I think I might buy them all. That price and the fact that Jakks FOMO exists are incentives for me

simpsons fucking sucks and nobody gives a shit about it anymore
sonic still has a diehard cult following and they haven't completely run their legacy into the ground. and even if they did people would still love it

also, OP, those figures are fucking terrible. stop being a consoomer. just because something is cheap doesn't mean you should buy it. would you buy a bucket of trash if I told you it was on sale for 4.99? you probably would because you are buying those garbage figures

some weird fucking sleeper agent memories started FLOODING my fucking brain
like ive been activated
i havent given a shit about simpsons since i was single digit age but seeing this just reminded me of an early memory where i went fucking loco trying to cop some simp toys and all i finally was able to get when i was scouring the land with pops for some simpsons toys was 2 keychain
fuckin bart "rofl"ing and homer naked in a towel holding a toothbrush
and i made them go on grand adventures with some LOTR figures or something like that, memory fuzzy
so yeah i need this shit
thanks for the heads up that this exists
finally ill be on my way to acquire some normal simpsons figures with minimal articulation
>>
>>11070649
Jakks will probably do a bunch of deep cut characters over the years, they're doing it with Sonic and the figs are cheap and good, but the distribution and character selection every wave is the worst, like 3 Sonic and 1 of every other character per case so scalpers rape the shit out of their fellow collectors every time
>>
>>11070403
>3poa
hard pass for me might as well just buy the world of Springfield ones at that point
>>
>>11070403
I'm more interested in the Killer Krusty doll they're making, but if they make Itchy, Scratchy and Poochie in this line I might pick those up
>>
>>11070683
I just want in universe figures like Krusty, Itchy, Scratchy, Poochie and radioactive man.
>>

What Simpsons figures are there aside from the Super 7 ones which are now done and were never at retail for the masses?
>>
>>11071538
oh yeah, their eyes amd skulls shouldn't be bigger than their parents
>>
>>11071689
but maybe the kids figures would be too small if done to scale. or disproportionate size/cost to make the parents bigger
>>
>>11071548
>>11071676
maybe anon is talking about world of springfield but those figures were only about 3poa because the legs didn't move due to a stupid talk chip at the bottom of the feet. It is still to date the longest running simpsons figure line, N*CA tried to bank on the nostalgia for it with their weird run of simpsons figures by trying to make them scale with Playmates, but that did not last long.
>>
>>11071692
If he's talking about WoS, that's just silly. That was over 20 years ago. There are multiple generations of casuals who would buy Simpsons merch again.
>>
>>11070554
This is a good PSA. I saw the 5" in person and noticed Bart had googly eyes too. For anyone interested in buying them, do it in store while it's still an option. If not, order more than 1 and return/scalp what you don't need
>>

>>
>>11072018
I would be interested since Jakks makes good cheap figures and will keep the line going as long as possible but I just don't want to dedicate any kind of space it would eventually require to keep a massive Simpsons collection, it'll probably be year 3 or 4 before we'll really know if it was worth it to keep up with, if it's like their Sonic line and there's 20 Homers at every store and he's the only character anyone but scalpers can find then that'll be no good
>>
>>11072018
I've wanted ugly posable garbage my whole life, especially after Disney buying Fox increased that chance. What's even worse is now it's a mousecuck brand no less than Marvel and Star Wars now
>>11072022

>>
>>11073505
They're 2.5" figures. You have to have more leeway at that size. Making them perfectly in scale would make the kids and especially Magie super tiny and they still want to articulate parts on them. They 5" line has them scaled better.

I found a decent Homer. Articulation feels on par with what super 7 did. This is ironically the most articulated Homer figure to date but that's not saying much.
I found another Bart but of course he had googily eyes.

I still hate the upcharge probably due to Disney but I hope the line goes long enough for us to see Sneed and Chuck. I'll buy him even if he's googly eyed.

Wonder if Jay Sherman is doable...

Why does jakks make most of their 4 inchers with thousand yard stares and no expressions?
Several of the Sonic and Mario ones just have a :[ expression

I want to like these but man. Two (three?) different scales. Ugly articulation. Overpriced. I wish Playmates had made another go at these instead of Star Trek.

how much leg range does Homer have? Is it similar to Mario?

I'd say on par with Mario as he can move his feet, but also has bicep and waist swivel.

I wish they went with a more expressive face but a lot of modern Simpsons merchandise they went with neutral expressions like most of the lego minifigures and super 7. Not sure if it was a mandate or something.

I think this is a promising start especially if they perfect making the eyes properly aligned.
>>
>>11073915
>I still hate the upcharge probably due to Disney
What up charge?? What other line is doing 5" articulated figures for $13? I was thinking these would end up being at least $15 like the 5" Sonic ones
>>
>>11074042
I thought they were closer to the Mario and regular Sonic figures. The Prime ones are bigger, but maybe you're right?

If anyone is curious how big the 2.5 inch figures are. They have a waist joint so they can sit down which I hope will be useful for future playsets like the Krusty Burger or Simpsons car or something.
>>

jfc $20 for something a chinese 8yo made in a sweatshop
>>
>>11074120
All toys are made by chinese in sweatshops. You guys fin the weirdest reason to hate everything
>>
>>11074051
The main 4" Mario and Sonic lines are $10. The 5" Sonic line is $15 and the 5" Mario movie figs were $20, so these are cheaper than expected for me anyway.
>>
>>11073915
they've got to make a 2.5" Steamed Clams diorama with Chalmers and Skinner
>>
>>11073505
this actually makes me think the figures are better than i initially thought. not 1:1 to the image but not super far off.

I made a wishlist of what I'd like to see from Jakks in the future. Honestly curious if Apu/Kwik E Mart is off limits.
>>
>>11074186
shit didn't think about steamed hams, they could probably make a line entirely out of that.
>>
>>11074188
Sounds like an epic meme
>>
>>11074186
doubt they would do this. they are only going to stick with shit they know for sure will sell.
super 7 took chances with "unpopular" characters so they had a better chance of releasing these types of characters.
>>
>>11074197
Doesn't matter who makes this crap, it's gonna bomb either way.

it's a wishlist for a reason. We'll probably get Moe, Nelson, Ralph, Thrillho, Mr. Burns, and Krusty easy within year 1-2.

>>
>>11073985
If its anything like the Mario and Sonic lines, 2.5 inch will be the superior with playsets and certain characters exclusive to it.
>>
>>11073985
This.
I might pick up the 2.5 inch ones just because they're nice and tiny, but the 5 inch ones look like hot trash. They went overboard on the articulation being noticeable. Jakks' Mario and Sonic lines hide the articulation fairly well, what the hell happened here?
>>
>>11076235
Jakks has started using those stupid separate ball joints for the arms and shoulders that does nothing that breaks up the sculpt more. They've done that for the 5" Mario Movie figs, the 5" Sonic Prime figs, and now these Simpsons ones. They should just do normal hinges like the 4" Mario figures and the 4" Sonic knees are done.
>>
>>11076240
Yeah I've noticed that too and it really is ugly as hell. I don't think it even improves the range of motion, the Sonic Prime figures in particular had a really weak range for their elbows.
>>
>>11074186
