I'm about to sell most of my legos I've had throughout my childhood, and I'm feeling kinda depressed about it. Should I go through with the sale?
>>11121447No. Surely you must know a kid that would like them.
>>11121447Depends what you plan on doing with the money. In 2011, I wanted to buy my first car and sold off almost all of my lego collection to fund it. I wish I didn't sell it, but at the same time, I'm glad my hobby was able to help me progress in life at the time so I don't really regret it. If you do decide to sell it, I'd just suggest to always keep your favourites.
>>11121447Sort them out into the individual sets if you haven't already. Keep the ones most special to you and sell the others individually to get the most money for them.
>>11121447don't do it bro
Sometimes you just need to Lego.
>>11121455delusional extreme cope response. kids either don't know what toys are at all, or wouldn't want them because a cool black guy would disapprove. itunes giftcard for rap is the best choice if you want to gift a kid something.
>>11121447Keep the best and most sentimental ones nigga
>>11121447Post collection or this is a LARP.
>>11121831This is a lot of work but it's the way to do it.
>>11122149Bricklink is the best place to sell sets.
>>11121447For me I feel like you should atleast keep one piece of it as a good luck charm or as a piece of your memory. I sold some of my old blind bag toys a while back but kept the one i used to play with the most. And I'm glad I kept it.
>>11121952>>11122219I already sorted out some of my faves, and the blind box minifigs to possibly sell later. The dude I'm selling to has a family so I think it'll go to a good home.
>>11121675I'm selling to get some extra cash to build a home server for my pirated movies and upgrade my pc to modern hardware
>>11122061Here's a pic
Brick Daddy I'm drooling
>>11121447>Should I go through with the sale? No, keep them you dolt
Get the money another way. You're depressing over it and theyll be worth more in the future if you want to sell.
>>11124197this. If you're just trying to buy hardware can't you get a job? If you're not trying to get rid of it outright, isn't an exchange for time and money much simpler and more flexible? You've only got one shot to keep your lego collection (which is only valuable if it's inventoried, or else resellers are just going to lowball it) and you essentially have infinite ways to make money.
>>11122539Don't sell it.. please..
If it's difficult to get rid of it, then you should keep it. All you're going to do with it is buy different toys with no sentimental value. If you need the money to buy a house, or fix your car or maybe invest then yeah, do what you have to do, but this is just cringe.
>>11121447Don't make my mistake anon. you will regret it
>>11127464nta but holy shit you just saved my childhood collection of transformers thank you
>>11127464Seconding this anon.
You will regret it. I had a pretty massive Lego collection, sold it all in 2022 and while I made about 30k doing it (and would have made more if I had just waited until now since prices have continued to rise...) I wish I never did it. It all took up so much space but I had it all sorted and organized by parts, and I just kind of wish I never sold it all especially all my childhood sets which were mostly complete.
>>11121447Many people I've seen who sold their lego collection, soon wished they still had their lego bricks. How much of an hassle would it be to just keep your collection in storage until you like lego again, which will inevitably will happen?
>>11121447Don't do it. Keep them for your kids. I had left mine undisturbed in a bin up in actic and glad I did. Nothing better than watching my son have a epic battle between my old blacktron's and m-trons.
