Anyone have this Deku? He's only twenty and looks good considering the price, but I'm curious if he's shit or actually worth it. I figure if he's solid for what he is he'd make for a neat background character or as an opponent for others to fight.
>>
>>11138087
I dunno. You could be the first of us to buy it, then return it to amazon if you don't like it. But also ask this guy

No All Might, no interest.

I'd rather get the Anime Heroes one for like $10 more. I think Jada's making one. May want to wait for that.
>>
>>11138384
>$10 more
They're both the same price at $20, similar scale too. It really just depends on which version of his costume you prefer since by this point every company that has done MHA has a version available.
>>
>>11138428
I also like that the one version comes with flick fingers.
>>
>>11138087
The value is definitely there in terms of accessories per cost, especially at that $17 pricepoint. The faces are pretty... ugly for the most part though.

>>11138099
This guy talking about it being tight like it's a problem, then suggests to himself the solution of heating the figure up, then not doing it, is kind of a weird way to do a review.
>>
>>11138384
The one in the OP has the lightning and extra faces which I think already puts it ahead. There's just more you can do with it. Also no visible pins from what I can see.

I’ve only seen this hand posed pic, looks pretty good. Also the accessory pieces seem very good.
>>
>>11138099
I like the look, price, and accessories so sure I'll grab it. Whenever it gets here I'll come back and post a few pics if the thread is still alive. Are face plates on a domestic figure new? I've only ever seen them on imports.
>>
>>11139034
The anime heroes chopper had faceplates. Though it was likely done because its a smaller figure and they wanted to fill the box for perceived value.
>>
>>11138384
>I think Jada's making one.
Nope
>>
>>11139210
I was sure someone posted a thread about it here once. It was starting with a line of popular characters. Deku, Anya, someone from Attack on Titan, and I forget the other. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Jada is getting Cyberpunk 2077 toys, from the anime. The rest is Scooby Doo, and what remains for Street Fighter and Mega Man
>>
>>11139220
The line you're thinking of is the one being discussed in the OP. Total Anime by Jazwares.

They're better in person, honestly.

Obviously if you're a hardcore fan of a series there's better options, but as a cheap alternative to the imports if you're only casually into a show they're excellent for the price.
>>
>>11139220
I ordered Anya and need to pick it up from the post office tomorrow. I can post some pictures then and give thoughts if anyone's interested. I hope they'll make a Bond to go with her if she came out well.

Cool.

same, that way I don't need to get another Anya that is useless now that figuarts make the one with fabric dress

OP here. He just came in today. For being 20 bucks and all he comes with, he's great. His arms a bit stiff in the shoulder but it's not a big deal. I'd say my biggest issue is his limited torso crunch. You can get around it by raising the legs up as high as they'll go but a bit more range would have been nice. Still that's a minor nitpick. If you even mildly like Midoriya and don't want to spend on an import you can't really go wrong with this.

I got Deku and Anya
I don't have another figure of him besides statues to compare him too, but I actually could get him in similar poses.

Anya's hands are microscopic

I'm actually pretty impressed overall, basically feels like a bootleg figma figure at half the cost. Theres a lot better import options but for the price they're really actually good.
>>
>>11140099
How is this so much better than the promo image? I was gonna get him for the effect part but this actually doesn’t look terrible.
>>11142177
How’s the TV accessory?
>>
>>11140099
Photos is a bit blown up but yeah Yuji's face actually looks decent here.

It's a little plain with the peanut mascot sticker on it but still decently sized as a retro TV for other toys.

I think a lot of the Pokemon toy fans agree that the series would be perfect for Pokemon trainers too.

Only real thing that's a little annoying is that Anya has really tiny limbs and it makes it kind of hard to pose her/get her arms to pose. Its like the Spiderverse Marvel Legends where they're very accurate but fragile.

>I think a lot of the Pokemon toy fans agree that the series would be perfect for Pokemon trainers too.
They certainly turned out better than I imagined. Though for Pokemon ideally they'd do 6" scale rather than 6.5 cause them being tall than the average Select would be a disaster. Trainers in this style as a new Pokemon subline would be great.
>>
>>11143090
could you make a size comparison of her with other figures? it's herhair soft plastic?
>>
>>11143090
Those eyes don't even look like the eyes she makes in the show. It looks like a racist stereotype figure.
>>
>>11143695

>>11143090

Woops I'm sorry guys, forgot to come back with pics.

Here's Anya next to Deku, 2099, Spider Pig and a Lego Minifig.

No her hair seems like a harder plastic. You can't really even bend the ends.

Eh I can kind of see what they were going for. (100% they were looking st this Screencap too to make it. It looks like they probbaly lined it up with the original eyes they made for her so it's more rounded instead of elongated like in the show.

Yep, she comes with the stand, 4 total heads (meme face, shocked face, open mouth and smile which doesn't look good), 3 sets of hands (open hands, fists and finger point/thumbs up), the TV and Chimera.

Also back to >>11146287
The faces/hair click in like figmas. I noticed he prongs for her head don't really line up perfectly though and you kind of have to flatten her have a bit to get them in the slots
>>
>>11146293
I think something that always goes wrong with these figures is that the hair doesn't go over the eyes quite right. Also she really is tiny. Might be interested in getting the Forger family if Loid and Yor are made.
>>
>>11146299
Looks weird but has so much room for improvement, I hope they sell well so Jazwares can make them better
>>
>>11146324
>I hope they sell well so Jazwares can make them better
That would make them stop entirely... If they sold well improvements would continue to be made.
>>
>>11141684
We appreciate it, OP. Also it looks like if ab crunch is that important, the revoltech is the way to go even for any MHA because of all the crazy poses they do

I have a matte spray but when I used it on a painted head it still came out shiny. Anyone know what's up with that? What should I use to make a nonglossy coat?
>>
>>11142187
If you want a mini TV I suggest mini arcade Atari. It's not 1:12 but the size works well enough in my book. The thing actually plays games too.
>>
>>11151171
Looks bad why so wide
>>
>>11155621
It can be local humidity or even spraying it too close that causes matte coatings not to work. You want to do light layers from a short distance in low humidity somewhere with ventilation or it can come up glossy.
>>
>>11152110
If you took the McFarlane body and the Anime Heroes head and the Jazwares effects you’d have an aight figure.
>>
>>11156079
Thanks man. I'll try that next time. So matte is the dullest top coat or is there something moreso?
>>
Any idea when Kaneki or Denji will be up for pre-order?
>>
>>11156958
I'm waiting for Chainsaw Man. Theirs looks pretty good in the packaging shot, so I'm willing to give it a shot after Deku and Anya.
