3D sculpting and CAD. The issue is creating an original template to use so not to get in trouble :/

Is it better to physically sculpt by hand or to use a 3d printer?

retard thread. Probably made by someone who owns shfs.

Sculpting by hand is superior

Iceman’s frosty cock is an important detail to remember.

No it's not. It's just more authentic to the crafts roots. 3D sculpting is way cleaner and has revolutionized modern toys. I think hand made toys are charming and shouldn't stop existing. Just saying it's flat out better is false.

It doesnt look like an actual sculpt at that point and looks like a digital snapshot copy and pasted with articulation points instead. It takes the sovl out of toys
>>
Is it better to use a ruler or to eyeball it when drawing architectural blueprints?

Toys exist to represent a character or IP. The more accurately they do so the more objectively good the toy is.
>>
>>11139239
Not really, no. 3D sculpting/CAD allows for much more precise sculpts and also more sophisticated engineering (as you don't have to physically slice up a sculpted model). I like a lot of old toys, notably Kenner aliens and Beast Wars TFs, but come on.

3D/CAD may have a higher ceiling, but in the hands of people who aren't talented it's more slop than comparable traditional sculps done by amateurs
Something like Galaxy Warriors feels like it has more soul and life to it than modern cheap retail toys done off CAD templates.
Not even a nostalgia thing, I was born in the mid 90s.

You aren't able to tell the difference once it's in your hands, so why does it matter?
>>
>>11141453
Depends on whether you're more skilled with physical tools or 3d modelling software.

WRONG. Look at the playmates tmnt toys, look at how vastly different they are from the cartoon and how loved they are. There exist various versions of any given figure that deliver different things, so that argument doesnt fly, pedro.
