>>11152740Nice
>>11154080thank you anon
>>11152740>>11154229Yay! Love your lighting as always.>>11154947Lol’d
Took me forever to find this guy, hes not available on the us yet, i managed to get him at a walmart in mexico, hes nice and bulky but articulation is iffy, especially on the feet. Accessories arent great so posing with some other guns i had lying around
Getting a ton of mileage out of these guys, i have many more pics but none worth sharing, will probably swap them out for the season
You will ignore obvious stand photoshopping

>>11154964thank you so much anon! i see you got your mizuki finally!
>>11156852I sure did! Managed to luck out on Y!Auctions for 40 bucks due to a small tear on the box.
>>11152740Yes GOOD choice in OP photos. Hopefully, I'll have time to take and add some new shots before this thread starts falling into the weeds. Please don't forget to post a link to the prior thread - I think, especially when the thread is new, it's a good way to show others what types of images and comments are being made.Cheers!
>>11156854awesome use of back ground and sand texture. I think it would be best if you crop that little corner of floor on the bottom right and make the sand cover the edges of the background to get more immersion. Really fucking love this though
>>11152740Took this a little over a year ago
>>11152740Good work anon. Everytime I see the thumbnail I think it's a color page from the berserk manga.
I gotta get into SO-TA's stuff more. They put out some incredible little things
>>11157370>>11158204Thank you very much Anons!
>>11158021Thanks, I made a tray from cardboard and filled it with very fine sand, it's clean and has no smell, I think they use it in shrimp aquariums or something. It's my makeshift diorama, I'm planning to make a real deal one next year. I'm modelling some vehicles for 3D printing already,
>>11158358It’s not Halloween yet, those ghosts are too spooky!
>>11158219Every time I wonder into a Ross (or other remainder store with discounted toy options), I now look through all the rows to see what I might grab. I found two unpainted, likely birchwood tables perfect for a 6-7" figure and THAT gave me the idea of asking the neighbor kids for Popsicle sticks although I did find and enjoy some frozen fruit ones from Trader Joes. Last time I went to a Michael's (which is a schlep, none are near me), all I bought was paint. Next time, I'll probably wonder the entire store.
>>11158590>ghosts
>>11156854That's one expensive display
>>11160054Every pixel in that backdrop costs fifty-six dollars doos.
>>11158446NTA you replied to but that looks good. I just found out our main library has a 3D printer for public use, although you have to go through some 'training' to use that equipment and I'm not sure what other limitations there are to use it.
>>11159084It's "wander", esl. Also asking kids for their used Popsicle sticks is creepy!
>>11161185Fucking kino
>>11158219I love SO-TA, they have some awesome mini figures and monsters.
>>11161685Oh, that reminds me to go check mine! Probably won’t have one, but it’s an idea.
>>11161685This is the model I'm working on. I know for sure that Tunshi wont make this truck, so I'm gonna try to do it myself. I used in-game sprite in combination with concept art and created references and then a 3D base model. Now I'm gonna turn it into prinatble parts. Still needs a ton of work, it's what i call a "3D sketch", just to get the proportons right. 3D printing a hard surface model comes with a log of challenges, hope I will manage. Want to combine 3D printed resin parts with soft goods. It helps that I got artistic and engineering background. If I succeed, I will do more, like the tall tank Sarubia.
>>11161692thanks for your friendship and love, stranger!
>>11161749Very nice model. If you ever make stuff like this available to download, I might just buy some metal slug figs after all. Also, yeah, this would look amazing with a real canvas tarp, especially since it would match the soft goods on the figures better.
>>11161710I took the train down to San Diego to visit a friend who was in California for training for a week; he had a rental car, so there was no point in driving and I could get work done on the train and back.We had a one-hour layover in Oceanside, which is a small, touristy town, mostly families, tourists and surfers, hotels, etc. etc. I went to the library for free AC and to charge my phone/lap top and THEY had an EFFING 3D printer. It's probably a one post office, one cop station town, too. Also, you can make requests at libraries for them to get resources.>>11161749>I got artistic and engineering background. That looks very nice. I've got the former but not the latter. Advanced math was never my strong suit. I might buy a design since they don't seem expensive on EB but you're right, working on it would be more satisfying AND give you more control.
>>11163947jesus bro no one asked for your life story
>>11164364Love this, anon.
>>11164118
>>11164410Thank you, it's a great figure I can recommend.
>>11161697and purchased on sale!
really dig these moncolle figures. wish base charizard wasn't in such a stupid pose, but at least mega zard looks good
>>11164908Harleyposting hours activated.
>>11165289>contentment
>>11165292What does Charizard look like?
>>11165405i got it to complete the kanto trio, but manthey did my boy dirty
>>11165794Your kitchen in the background kinda looks like a medieval tavern, or i'm high af.
>>11165985That face sculpt is softer than I was expecting.
>>11165985Why would a Hoth trooper be smiling?
>>11165985Hi! Few things to start off with =] 1. Yes I replied to your post because you’re a female collector, ‘tis an awesome thing to see! 2. I’m Brian. 3. Don’t be intimidated, but I’m not a stereotypical guy. If anything, I’ll be the one in the kitchen =D.
>>11166506Unit 00
>>11166045even if this is satire i still cringed hard
>>11166551Ops wrong photo
>>11166793
>>11166799lol this is because men, especially nerdy ones who would be showing off hobby items, are generally unwashed slovenly beasts who haven't bathed for a week or cut their hair in years. if you were cute you'd want to be in pictures too.
>>11165873>or i'm high af.Nope, I see it - as long as you edit the can out. And move the pan/pan lid out of the background or put them so out of focus that you don't really know what they are.>>11165985>>11166793So it's Girls Buy Toys, Too Sunday or something - and no one mentioned it?
>>11158026Cute
>>11166678You must be very new to not have seen that particular copypasta before
>>11167197
>>11167208Oh, nice.
>>11154947>Fight!
>>11167235
>>11167115no, i've seen it, reread the post. "even if this is satire" means like, I know it's satire but I still cringe. It's not like "I don't know whether or not this is satire." It can technically be read both ways
>>11167279>even if I think you meant ‘even though’, then.
I wasn't even planning on taking pictures today, I was just dusting them off and got the urge
>>11167359
>>11165312<3
Moooooon riveeeeeer
Originally wanted him to look down as if about to submerge into the water.got a cubric stare instead, somehow.still liked the shot enough to share
>>11167203Nice
>>11167203where is that iceblock from, anon? it looks cool
>>11167613It’s the hasbro gelatinous cube from dnd.
>>11167735>>11167613it's also not a very well-made toy, it's pretty cheapo and Hasbro could have done so much better. props to anon for getting a good shot out of it.gelatinous cubes have been portrayed in many different oozy ways, not sure why Hasbro's is so dull looking. Even the lid could have been concealed better with a drippy sculpt, the straight dividing lines are just so apparent.
>>11167466Bruce looks so fucking pissed lmao
>>11167613>iceblockI need a caveman.
>>11167383These are all awesome
>>11167208nicely managed
Sorry these are not in better poses but took this for someplace else BUT thought it would be a good bump for the thread.
>>11167466
>>11167891>gelatinous cubes>>11167613>>11167891>>11168243It's not hard to find a glass brick vase, I got the one I have at a thrift store. Probably looks TOO smooth to completely compare to a GC - my only real experience of what that should look like is last year's DND movie, but it might work well for toy photography. I'll try to take some pictures tomorrow, outside, because my interior lighting is awful right now.
>>11169247youre right, never thought about these!
I wish I had space to make dioramas. I don't have any good background stuff so I just end up clipping out my toys and editing them cheaply into backgrounds from google lol
>>11169433You don't have room for like a shoebox?
>>11168718nice early 2000s camera
>>11169457>>11168718Poorer quality shots are often better in black and white.
>>11167613Lol, we just had a bunch of anons complain about it.
>>11168718Why don't you people dust?
>>11169247I kind of feel like this gives more of a cum jar feeling somehow...
>>11169457>>11169463It's a cheap free Android phone.>>11169478The two on the left were just cleaned and came out of a box. The two on the right came off a dusty shelf. I'll will slash my right wrist on your behalf right after I dust that shelf - or in about 4 years, fair enough?
>>11169313variant of that shot in portrait mode. dont know which one i prefer
>>11170276Horizontal one for sure. So much more drama, and each element has room to breathe. The vertical one is claustrophobic, does not read as well, and feels like Samus and the bot are competing for space. The pose also just looks better at the angle you've got in the horizontal shot.If I had any suggestions to make, I would just try the horizontal shot again with a little more blue light splashed on the BG there and the angle altered a little to show those stairs. Blue lighting is kind of a meme in toy photos, but in this case that blue is really reminding me of Super Metroid in a good way. Yeah, I know, not the right game, but it still brings a gravity to the scene because Super Metroid is so iconic. Great work as usual from you.
>>11167549All work and no play….
>>11170292thank you Anon! Guess youre right! portrait is something i often struggle with
>>11170292I kinda disagree here. The particular landscape looks good but it has a lot of wasted spaces. The claustrophobia of the portrait one adds to the Metroid atmosphere imo.
>>11169313>>11170276Those look nice. What background did you use?
>>11170276The thing in the bottom, I would suggest you raise a hand or something to better bring out what it is.
>>11170468thank you anon! i usually collect some stuff i find on fleamarkets. Most of what you see should be from some joytoy playset, but also some playmobil and other toys>>11170470gotcha anon, thanks for your feedback
>>11170466It just doesn't work for me compositionally at all. Think of these images in terms of three layers, fore, mid, and back ground. Think about the silhouettes in each and how they overlap and touch each other. This is why I said it didn't read well to me. The vertical one is a bit of a clusterfuck and the silhouettes are not distinct enough. The flame is distracting, it is the same height as Samus and bridges the gap between her and the edge of the frame competely so her silhouette doesn't stand out (both of these are tangents, which you want to avoid as a general photographic principle). Additionally, light and dark clustering is not good, again the three layers are not distinct and do not do enough to stand out from each other. The shadows are deeper in the horizontal one and they all play opposite to light sources so you get an immediate impression of depth. The vertical one is kinda just all brightly lit, there are no real dark darks. Less drama, and it just turns to brightly colored visual mush imo.And yes, claustrophobic is a good emotion for a Metroid shot, but if the composition is not good you're done even before the vibe check
>>11170526dude shut up
>>11170526i think i agree with this. Thank you very much anon, this was helpful!
>>11170827I see that Adam, unsatisfied with merely refusing to authorize use of the Varia suit in the lava room, has graduated to demanding Samus take her power armor off entirely.
>11169457>11169463
>>11170492Also maybe raise her gun like she's getting ready for a battle.
>>11170526Dude, are you from /ic/?
>>11170276I really like this one. Maybe the framing could move over a bit to cater to the rule of thirds.
>>11171000This is such a wonderful vibe.
>>11166918#rekt
>>11170827No prob. Hope I didn't offend you in going so hard on the vertical shot, I personally quite like your photos.>>11170892No, just a longtime photography enthusiast (both toy and non). Might as well put that expensive film school education to use for something.
>>11171013I kind like how the stairway leads the eye down into the picture thought.
>>11152740Really need to find a screen bigger than my dinky little tablet to use as backgrounds.
>>11172449Oh right and picrel, guess I stroked out
>>11170962toy photos in real life environs look so great to me
>>11173180Wow cool pic...
>>11171752noice
>>11166918Naw, it's because women are attention whoring. Even when guys do it for attention they at least make sure the toy they are showing off is prominent.
>>11175801again, it's because they're fucking ugly lmaoyou'd want your face front and center too if you were cute. you just can't grasp it because you've never lived it. it's a world beyond your comprehension
>>11176629
>>11176635just a lil dump of my latest model.

>>11175862>they only show the toy because they are ugly>they appear in pic for attention because they are uglyOh, you're just retarded. Ok.
Took this on LSD and thought it was the coolest thing in the world lol
wow not even one you on my pic cool guys thanks.
What kind of lights do you use for your photos? I was going to buy a 26 cm led ring with a 2 meter tripod but maybe I can buy something smaller?
>>11182880Little LED cubes that go on sale on amazonhttps://www.amazon.com/Neewer-Magnetic-2500K-8500K-Rechargeable-Photography/dp/B09RB4NVWKi think i got these for like 15 bucks on a sale
Geralt:"Hens, feathers, muddy footprints... odd. No typical predators around. A couple of missing livestock, nothing too big. But the way the blood's sprayed... too violent for wolves, too chaotic for a leshen. Could be... something that burrows, moves through the muck. The way the chickens reacted, too. They’re nervous, scared, like they sense something underground. Kikimora, maybe. Nasty thing, if I’m right. Hates loud noises, drawn to—"Ciri:"You're doing it again, Geralt. Thinking out loud. It's really quite something."
