Pokémon toy generalTrick-or-Treat edition
Are the halloween packs at Targets already gone? I went to 5 and none of the stores even had shelf tags for them in the toy aisle or halloween aisle
>>11186131Wasn’t even aware there were holiday packs outside of the pearly paint advent calendar sets
I was at a store some hours ago and there was a Murkrow and Mimikyu thing that I originally thought was a statue. Now I am feeling remorse for not buying it.
Is Tyrantrum ever going to be released in the states?
>>11186426Still waiting for Metagross. Love from your Northern cousins. That said, for those in the maple country, the Heracross and Bisharp wave (just?) showed up Canadian Tire of all places. Check if out if you want any of them (or Blastoise or Toxtricity).
>>11186438Prior to this Canadian Tire had the battle feature wave with Flygon and Luxray so hearing this isn't that surprising. I wonder if some random store secretly had the Alakazam and Infernape wave this whole time.
>>11186229Seriously? They've been doing holiday 2 packs and single packs in regular paint for 3 or 4 years now I think. Christmas, Halloween, Easter and Valentines Day themes.
>>11186229They seem random. I sometimes see them at Target, and I see them at Five Below...
I keep finding Jazwares for sale here at the most random stores.First a pharmacy, now a telephone shop.Latter also had some cosplay pikachu plushies.
>>11186942Pokemon be everyone's side-hustle.
October always gets me in the mood for some ghost toys.
>>111869427-11 has them too
>>11187116DSW Shoes, CVS, Walgreens, Party City, Cracker Barrel, Sheetz. Lots of unusual places has jazwares pokemon things. But of course you can't find any of the main waves in the normal stores like Target or Walmart!
>>11187114Aside from Ceruledge that is out at Target today, did we get any other new ghost pokemon this year?
>>11187121I think we got Misdreavus but that might've been last year.
>>11187120I've seen them at Love's truck stops too!
>>11187121>>11187123according to that fan wikipedia, Misdreavus was last year. We also go Rotom this year but that was the only other ghost one.I like the wikipedia's pages arranged by typing or generation to quickly see what I'm missinghttps://jazwarespokemon.fandom.com/wiki/All_Ghost_Type_Battle_Figures
>>11187121Scale world got Skeledirge,Gimmighoul,Goldengo and Ceruledge too.
>>11187271They're pretty
>>11186893>>11186131Found the Halloween single figs at 5 Below at my local mall. Also got some Pokemon pet dispensers that I was thinking I could make into some kinda figure decor
>>11187569*Pez dispensers
I got selects ceruledge today and he can't stand by himself due to his derp wannabe persona design. Also the leg articulation is super limited.

>>11187784>he can't stand by himself due to his derp wannabe persona design.Obviously it was never gonna stand on its own without the base. But blame the design of the poke and not the toy designers. Im not sure I'll get it. It looks nice but like most of those figures from jazzwares, they don't pose well and so many joints are restricted as always
Just fun
>>11187784>he can't stand by himself due to his derp wannabe persona design. So we're you honestly expecting a design like this to stand on his own? We're you upset that Raquaza also needs a stand?
>>11187784Is he oversized next to a trainer figma like Lucario?
The next upcoming get collection figure set for next month.
>>11188096Nice checkers set.
>>11186475Canadian gamestops were trying to clearance out all their old pokemon stock a few weeks ago, I'm assuming to make room for some new product for Xmas, but they didn't sell so all the slowpokes and Rillabooms are back to full price. No new shit for us.
>>11188156Raihan's apparently about 2.00m tall.Ceruledge dex height is 1.60m.Raihan's figma and Select Ceruledge are both listed as 15cmSo in that case, too tall. Lucario'd.Then you got the kid trainers, all around 13cm tall.Moving over to animeland, I'll assume Liko's their height as well. Amethio's a head taller. His Ceruledge is like half a head shorter.Assuming the Pokepla will be around Cinderace's height.. it'll be half a head shorter than the kid trainers. So the pokepla's too small, but it'll look more "right" like picrel. Or a medabot.
>>111885352,00m !? Where does this value come from? He looks more like he's 1.80m tall. If you want to be generous, 1.85m max.
>>11186438just went to my local canadian tire and they didn’t have any pokemon stuff unfortunately
>>11188554He's a tall dude
>>11188570Ah, you were talking about him. My bad, I thought it was Amethio. I misinterpreted.
>>11188576Amethio feels more like a 170 desu
>>11188310Little Dusclops has got my interest.
>>11188156>>11188535Here's some pics from an old thread, if you have Tyranitar you can get a good idea of how it'll look next to your other figs. Raihan and Ttar are both about 15cm and 2.00m real height. Gloria is about the height of the trainer in the pic when next to Select Ttar. Ceruledge is gonna be like a head too tall for a perfectly average height one.
Got a Metagross and Tyrantrum on the way. No sight here of Zeraora/Deoxys yet though.
>>11187784Excuse you, he's a derp wannabe Mega Man Battlle Network design. And he's extremely based because of it.>>11188096>>11188318But how do you king them?>>11188310>3 normal balls and 2 apricorn ballsWeird choice. Guess somebody doesn't like the Ultra Ball.Very cute Espurr.

>>11188760Be careful with Pokemon Home measurements: sometimes they're not accurate, sometimes they're completely wrong. Fortunately for Tyranitar and Ceruledge, they didn't make a mistake.>>11189115Unfortunately not, and he forgot to mention that Koraidon and Miraidon also have a Terastal version.
more old and middle aged mons, less nu mons
>>11188760Scales are all over the place. Tyranitar its supposed to be 2m but ingame he is barely taller than a mc, jazwares one is still a midget anyway
>>11189511Size on Scarlet and Violet is good, provided you choose a Pokémon that is average for its species. Tyranitar isn't too small in the game, standing a full 2m tall. The only Pokemon that are reduced in size are certain large Pokemon over 3m tall, for practical reasons.
>>11189586is that a regular size or small size? Reminder that they started utilizing visual varied size since Legends Arceus
>>11189586I'd even add that the cubes in the dome are 1m high and wide. To show unity.Scarlet and Violet have the most accurate sizes (no wonder Game Freak decides sizes and knows how to measure them).Just don't put a giant Pokemon that's been reduced in size for practical reasons, and make sure your Pokemon is average for its species (there's an NPC for that).
>>11189611It's a normal size, I checked with an NPC in the big town that contains the school. This average Tyranitar is really 2m tall in the game.
>>11189511Its pretty much an average sized one based on the screenshot from the other anon. It works well with figma but it might feel small if you're using human characters from other lines that skew larger than figma.
>>11189859this is why i also bought that 1/10 scale via aliexpress. big guys should have toys
>>11189859Note, however, that the character we play is 1m50 tall and that he is a child. Tyranitar is barely taller than an adult man of 1.80m.
Do fucking human beings not test these goddamn Select figures before they go into production? Just like Mewtwo, Ceruledge's hips barely fucking function as intended because of their sculpt.
>>11190297ikr, someone on the discord who is usually very critical of the figures posted a pretty lengthy thread of comments about all its issues. Mine isn't delivered yet but everything they said seems correct from the pics people have posted. This keeps happening with every figure! Raikou is where it really pissed me off because I love that silly cat and it was hardly able to be posed
>>11190297>>11190310i could care less what the hips are like, it's their ability to stand on their own is my priority. I just hope the stand posts this and the plamo come with could act as a 3rd leg
>>11187982it’s currently on sale for $13.99has anyone found Tyrantrum in the US? it’s the only one I’m looking forward to right now
>>11190312People on discord were saying the hips, loose elbows, torso joint, and thighs were giving them trouble for different reasons. Bad news for you, multiple people said the base was one of the worst too. The parts don't stay together well aparently.
>>11186131I have yet to see them in my area and am wary of ordering online because of qc's. I wish jazwares had better distribution
>>11190312If you mean removing the stand arm from it's base and using it as a third leg?yes that actually does work with this figure.
>>11190403Do you have photos yet?
>>11190310A collection that focuses everything on the joints, but which is never able to achieve what it was designed to do. It's still crazy.
>>11190297>Let's save money on the quality of plastic.>Let's save money on painting printing.>Let's save on working time and not test our joints, just put them in randomly without the slightest thought. >Let's save money on product quality and fragility checks. Jazwares is ruining its own products, this is unacceptable. They are screwing up in every possible aspect, when will we have products with a minimum of quality? It becomes insulting.
>>11190340Damn, and here he's the full €30 at lowest. But I'm thinking on passing and sticking to the plamo anyways.
>>11190529I"m in USA, got Ceruledge for $13 and I still feel like I got ripped off. It's got so many problems and it's not a good figure :( Many of the joints don't articulate as usual with this line of figs
>>11190348>loose elbowsAs someone who wants a Scizor from them one day the elbows were always a worry. Those big pincers with the stick arms were gonna be trouble and I'm guessing here the swords are too heavy too. The plamo with parts swap won't have the elbow problem but not a fan of part swapping in general for limbs.
Im pretty happy with my Flygon, thats Jazwares' peak, they can go fuck themselves now, give the license to anyone
>>11190684>Those big pincers with the stick arms were gonna be trouble and I'm guessing here the swords are too heavy tooNo. The swords on Ceruledge aren't even heavy. The problem is the way they made the elbows. It's a Jazzwares thing, not a problem with the design of the pokemon. Tons of figures from other companies have stronger elbows and knees
>>11190684Seems easy enough to cut and drill holes in for a small joint, but if it can still carry the pincers is another story.
>>11190691yeah flygon is a surprise after all of the recent shitty ones and i imagine zard x will be fine since the orignal zard was good, but imagine if it has some new shittier tooling insteadeveryone will be livid

I don't think it looks bad, but all the problems that those other figure's parts had are still here so it's just like moving sideways instead of being a big improvement. I definitely think the smooth Jazz tail is way better looking tho
>>11193979It looks better
>>11194307Correct and modified the shoulders. Made the tail twice as longer. I did consider to use the bendable wire tail, but seems like it will be a great hassle. Due note that although it is bendable, it's not that bendable and might tear after long use. Thanks for the feedback. I just wanted a fetal position mewtwo like the movies. The shf had no knee joints and puny hands, so improvised.
>>11194534Thank you.
>>11185753Does Pokemon Center ever restock? I want one Fit plushie but the one is sold out
>>11194307And the jazewares head joints are terrible. SHF looks more like the movies. Where the jazewares one is a direct crop of the 3ds model. Game freak even changed the new 3d model in SV, but still does not look as good as the movies. No soul.

>>11194927It doesn't look correct but it atleast functions.
>>11195228Are you talking about the tops of his legs?
Just got Golisopod. Interesting figure, but as one would expect, can't do all that much. Surprised that the little claws have articulation down to the nails/claws. Limited range, as one might expect, about 45 degrees at each joint and connected by a ball peg at the base. Big arms are likewise limited, something like 30 degrees at each joint, the one that attaches to the body and the armored part of the arm. Little tiny legs don't move much and the stand will do the most of the work, but they have what I think is a ball peg at the hips which don't get much movement, the little knees, then a rotation at the foot. Torso can crunch and rotate a bit. Nothing at the head unfortunately, would have been nice if the front segment could move a bit so he could have a bit of added dynamism. Got it for a bit of a discounted rate so I'm not too mad at the figure, but as usual it could be better, though, this design definitely presents difficulties as an action figure.
>>11195558Where did you get it? I was expecting the big arms to only rotate.
>>11195222>Shodo's haxorus is better than almost everything.Compared to what? Nothing? what a low bar.
>>11195982Gamestop. The movement is limited but they do have a hinge at the shoulder.
>>11195558Do you have pics? Sounds like more of the same form this line. Joints but joints that hardly move like they should. I don't understand how a company can work on the same line for like 4 years and literally have the same problems figure after figure and never improve at all. Literally how can the people at Jazzwares be this bad?
>>11196261They've probably actually regressed. It's still cool to get Pokemon figures like this, but since Charizard it genuinely feels like articulation decision making has gotten worse. The number of joints are still there, but the functionality is sub-par. Jazwares has made and is making some well articulated stuff in their Fortnite, Total Anime, even Halo lines, so why this is so difficult is anyone's guess.
So pokemon figures have offcially become coomer toys?Jazwares Rapidash when

Incredibly random price, but that's at least 40% off the retail (GS usually has them at 29.99, TRU at 34.99) so definitely a great time to buy them, especially with 3 new Pokemon in the wave.

these stands are so fucking flimsy. ceruledge’s keeps falling apart.

>>11198342While you're there, any news on Jakks Wario reissue?
Zeraora’s articulation is terrible. Ceruledge’s is better but still not great. Golisopod is the best of the 3.
>>11198771Zeraora looked the best of the these three. What's bad about it? Ceruledge is really bad so I'm shocked if Z's is worse>>11198640Ceruledge's stand is the worst one they've done. All the past ones have been more sturdy.
>>11198773zeraora has no shoulder range, its arms are stuck out at all times. its feet have no range. its fingers have gaps despite having no articulation.
>>11198782You made me open mine cause of how absurd that sounded. It can bring its arms down fine. Leg knee range is pretty ass, they don't bend back and only forward a bit. Hips can move forward and outwardly without too much trouble, but without a thigh swivel it makes things a bit tricky to pose. Feet themselves move as you'd expect them to. Fingers can bend inwardly, though not outwardly as far as I can tell. They can also rotate at the base. Must as well talk about the rest. Head is on a swivel while the neck has a hinge. Nothing in the wrists (where the big hands connect to the arms) so you can't swivel the hands at all. Double elbows work fine, bicep swivels work fine. Back tail thing is on a bendy wire throughout and works well. Torso crunches at two points, barely at the visible part, and has a hidden crunch in the crotch. The lower one works well while the mid torso shouldn't even be there. There's no swivel though, just a crunch. Better design would have had it be a ball.
>>11198799Big one I didn't talk about, the collar doesn't allow the neck hinge to go back, so he won't be able to achieve any low postured pose. And the lack of knee range means that the leg moving far forward won't be used for much. Could be kicking I guess.
>>11198771The standing type of Pokemon design like Lucario, Toctricity and Zeraora consistently are the ones that turn out weak. The ones that resemble dragons are usually the better ones and I hope we get more of those. We've gotten quite a few of the humanoid looking ones recently with Deoxys also coming.
>>11198782>zeraora has no shoulder range, its arms are stuck out at all timesOh you meant forward and backward range. ya the arms won't be going forward any time soon. You can fake it a bit with the elbows, but the chest fur is hard plastic and won't allow movement.
>>11198773>Ceruledge's stand is the worst one they've doneAren't they all the same stands? Not just getting a dud?
Ceruledge thoughts, paint is pretty nice, the way they did the gradient is good. Mid-torso up it works pretty well. Head is on a swivel and hinge again, I think the torso is on a ball, though the range isn't spectacular. Shoulders work well enough, with the armor being sculpted onto the arm (on a really weirdly designed hinge) so that range isn't completely hindered, and while there's no bicep swivel, the arms can do mostly what you'd want. The blades being able to swivel is great. Lower torso is made of the hardest plastic known to man and don't let the legs move much. The range is probably only around 15 degrees back and forth, and same thing outwardly. Thigh swivel moves inwardly more than outwardly, which is barely for the latter but what you'd rather want, but it'll mostly get the job done. The double knees get under 90 degrees, but not even because of the pokemon's design, but because of the way the knee is designed. I think if you cut out parts of the knee joint (the actual joint part, not the sculpt of the main figure's legs) you could probably get some more range. If you're ok with him mostly just standing there with the arms being somewhat dynamic, he's not that bad, and one of the stronger releases from the usual expectations of mediocre figures. I do so wish that the only thing carrying these figures weren't that they're just Pokemon and that they were just generally good figures. I am still hopeful that Trevenant is on the way, I can't really see how it could be screwed up.
>>11198825Yes, they're all exactly the same. Tolerances at the joints will vary a bit from stand to stand, but mine are all mostly tight.
>>11198826So plamo range superiority?
>>11198826>Lower torso limited>legs can barely move despite Ceruledge being a very dynamic PokemonRuined. The had one job, and they fucked it up. another dud to add to the list.>>11198830>plamo range superiorityIf Jazzwares can't pull it off, how do you expect Plamo to do it? Plamo is just as bas, if not worse since it relies on pre posed arms. What a waste, at least Meowscarada and Deoxys look promising...
>>11198830Gonna break it down to a few key points. No torso, and though Select's doesn't give it a ton of range, it breaks up the normalcy of a straight torso. Select wins.I can only guess for head, but I'd think it's on a ball. Select's swivel and hinge work mostly the same way without much hindrance. I'll give it a tie.Arms seem to get a bit more range outwardly, but it also has alternate arms if I recall over elbows. Not super far off but I'll say Select wins. Well done paint vs stickers. Looks like the head flame is done in 3 pieces with the bit of translucence, but I can't imagine the arm blades being done in any way except for a sticker, or maybe even a PETG sheet, though that would give it an awkward thinness. Select wins.Leg forward motion doesn't look great, and I can't tell from the pic but outwardly looks like it'll be there. I see a thigh swivel so that probably works better than the Select's which has a stopgap for no reason (could probably be removed with some customizing, if so desired). Nice simple but functional knees, probably get around 90 degrees. If the hip range is as I expect it to be, Plamo wins. Plamo will likely be smaller, and the Select is a pretty nice size (I just have him next to the other two in the wave right now, and Zera looks disproportionately large in comparison, while he looks good next to Golisopod). Up to you what you prefer. Despite my harshness against the legs, it does cut a nice silhouette, and I like it overall. Far from great, as always, but a solid figure. I'd personally lean towards the Select (though I of course don't have the Plamo in-hand to compare to it, or even non render pics), especially if you can get it at a good deal. I feel like it's worth what I paid (probably less forgiving if it was at full price).
>>11198826TLDR- Ceruledge is just horrible. Like all the people in the discord who had it last week were saying. how the hell does Jazzwares keep getting worse at articulating these figures? The joints ate there, but the range just gets worse and worse. Literally how do you work on a toyline for 3+ years are actually get worse??> If you're ok with him mostly just standing there with the arms being somewhat dynamic, he's not that badIt's really pathetic that the best we always say about every figure in this **super poseable** toyline is that they are okay if all you want them to do is stand there. >>11198828Multiple in the discord said their Ceruledge base was in fact worse than previous ones.
>>11198879Tbf the hip armor would have to not be there for this pose to be achievable. Only way a Ceruledge figure can be posed like this is if Revoltech has a go at it and takes some liberties with what can move.
>>11198885>Multiple in the discord said their Ceruledge base was in fact worse than previous ones.I can only speak to mine then, but his base and that of Golisopod and Zeraora are all more or less the same. If anything Ceruledge's was overly tight at one of the sections.
Can confirm that the selects are only $17 at Gamestop Canada for some reason.
>>11198886>Only way a Ceruledge figure can be posed like this is if Revoltech has a go at it I would much prefer this over Jazzwares, why havent they done it?And Jazzwares can do it on there own, it is achievable. Some solutions: -Make the armor pieces seperate instead of one sculpt and make the armor flap the same material as Entei's hair for easy access. -Add a hinge in the middle of the armor flap to move it out of the way (indicated by the red line)-Add better hinges or swivel in the hips so the legs around the armor flap.
>>11198896You canadians have it good. I just want to go there one day
>>11198961It is not usually this good up here. Trust us, overall you guys have got it way better in terms of figures.>>11198956Whoah whoah, hold on, that's too complicated, our articulation designer always does a fantastic job. Thumbs up to him. Our scaling is also great. On a serious note, you're talking about flaps and things, we don't know exactly the kind of impositions TPCi may be putting on them. I believe it was Jada that stated that for Tony the Tiger they were told they weren't allowed to have any alternate heads because it would result in needing to pull the head off of the figure, and I wouldn't be surprised if all the random things like random notches limiting poseability have to be some thing requested, there's just no way a designer would knowingly make things that way. Other things like certain choices in how articulation is implemented I'd have to think is their decision, so they're definitely not off the hook for the way these figures are turning out.
>>11198971Stop making excuses for the absolutely piss poor design job that Jazwares does on the 6" figures. There is no way TPCI tells them to put all the joints in each figure, but design them so badly that they have the absolute minimum in clearance to actually move. It's just simply incompetence on Jazwares' part.
>>11198896Hold up! That 2" Select wave is new! The one with Drillbur. That wasn't been found yet. Can you take a pic of the back?
>>11198976Nta but I saw Charcadet and Impidimp in those black cases at the one I went to a few days ago. Didn't check the back, kinda just pass over them by habit causes its like $10 cad for 1 figure.
>>11198961we haven’t gotten any new jazwares stuff all year until now. entei flygon and toxtricity never released here.
>>11198976I took this but i don't remember the entire selection. I know there were Clefairy, Impidimp, and Drilbur.
>>11198972Like I said, they're absolutely at fault, but certain limitations could certainly be due to how the licensor wants their characters handled, especially with a brand as protective of their IP as Pokemon.
>>11198984>>11198988So it's probably Charcadet, Impidimp and Drllbur as new figures we haven't gotten before? Those three were actually the other figures revealed by them at the panel at SDCC.
>>11198989Maybe so, but there is no way they are being told to make the joints that they've already put in the figures to function poorly. I wouldn't be surpised if TPC/Nintendo told them not to do separate heads or hands, but there's no way they'd make them intentionally design joints badly. That's just Jazzwares being Jazzwares
>>11198988Those aren't on the wiki site either and that guy is usually on it instantly. So these are def very new.
>>11198995You never know, could be something like "don't let their heads spin completely around". Things like "we'll put the articulation under Garchomp's shoulders rather than at the shoulders" is likely a them thing since we've seen other articulated Garchomps articulate in that way. Could just be their interpretation of certain artwork its featured in, but as a functional toy, it's clearly the wrong choice. Same as Zera's fur blocking its arms movement, or Ceruledge's legs barely able to move.
>>11199003"Don't allow this figure's legs to actually move" "Don't allow this figure's knees to bend more than 20 degrees" WTF are you on about? No company is going to be that anal about it. Why do some people defend the absolute worst figures like their life depends on it?
>>11199006You've clearly stopped reading and are just assuming posts say what you want them to.
>>11198989>due to how the licensor wants their characters handled, especially with a brand as protective of their IP as Pokemon. But the Shodos exist, and they have more joints and articulation compared to Jazzwares, some going as far as to break the sculpt (which I personally dont mind). Hell even back with D-Arts figures too. If Shodo can get away with it, why can't Jazzwares? and it can't be a budget thing, cause look at the Legendary Birds, Mewtwo and Rayquaza, who are standouts of the line.
>>11199021THANK YOU! Idk why this one anon is defending Jazzwares to the death for their absolutely stupid designs and shit articulation.
>>11199044I literally had a stroke reading their replys. bottom line is, Jazzwares needs to do better. that, or TPCI should just get other toy companies to do it like Revoltech, S.H.Figuarts, or Good Smile. Or you know... bring back more Shodos... I wouldnt mind, im obsessed with them (and im surprised they didnt, since they did Umbreon and Glaceon, you'd think they would make all Eeveelutions...)
>>11199050>bottom line is, Jazzwares needs to do better.Yes 10000%. The weird thing is some of their other toylines are very nice and have no articulation issues. Their Fortnite figs were great and the new Anime line is great with good articulation too. It's got to be the people they have working on the Pokemon Selects that is the issues. I always hope the figures will move better and will continue to hope so
>>11199051Like the other guy said, the Jazzwares figs look great for standing on the shelf but the articulation is always done so disappointingly :(
>>11199061>Jazzwares figs look great for standing on the shelf but the articulation is always done so disappointinglyIm the type that likes to display figures, but every so often, play with them on my desk, or on days where i have a lot of free time, play with all of them and recreate scenes in my head.
>>11199021>>11199050>defending shortos
>>11199076alright hot shot, defend Selects
>>11199078They're big, like the monsters that are supposed to be. There, I win.
>>11199088>They're big, like the monsters that are supposed to be.>Only applies to Tyranitar, Rayquaza, Garchomp, Charizard, and Legendary Birds>The rest are small frog and dogs and punk purple geeko>"BiG mOnStErS tHaT aRe SuPpOsEd To Be"Big but can barely move like actual monsters, unlike Shodo, and even S.H. Monsterarts pose better, and they have qc issues.
>>11199112Selects don't have those one-sided elbow joints neither. i win again
Jazwares is the only product line where consumers are never happy. “It's not to scale!!!”“It's not well articulated!!!”“They don't print the paint correctly!!!”“I have to check all the models on the shelf to take the one with the least defects because the quality of plastic and paint is lousy!!!”“They put ugly and useless gadgets!!!”“Quality control is non-existent!!!”Despite all this, they continue to buy their crap instead of boycotting to send clear signals to the company.
>>11199359I have no complaint with anything else, just articulation. and its not all figures, its just the ones you'd expect to have better articulation.
>>11199136neither do Shodo? at least they have better range compared to Jazzwares, have you owned Selects Tyranitar or Entei, Raikou, Suicune? they can barely do a running pose
Not to mention “in-store product distribution is bad”
>>11199359Its because there is no other option. What else is there? All other companies abandoned making Pokemon figures long ago. It's literally only Moncolle, Scale World, and Jazwares
>>11199524Moncolle and Scale World are generally well received by those who consume them. This is also the case for other brands such as Bandai Kids and Re-Ment. I'm not going to mention Plamo, because everyone complains about the stickers, and rightly so.
>>11199359 >boycott It's automatic because you can't find them.
>>11199403>neither do Shorto?lol. also what's the point of better range if the joints pop easier and aren't even big figures? Also the selects are still capable mobile poses anyway
Boycott deez nuts
I'm very critical of jw and I don't buy a lot of their trash but the ceruledge is awesome. It has a retarded design and I wasn't expecting much articulation. It's head and forearms are enough for me and the paint is fantastic. I got lucky because my stand works fine and the swords aren't bent. It looks great and is fun to play with.
>>11200033I like mine too, despite the trash legs. No edgy lunges for this Ceruledge. Would love to also get an Armarouge too.
>>11200033>>11200043I love the pokemon's design as a big fan of MegaMan inspired designs, but I hate the figure. How can you guys be happy with it when half the figure can't really be posed? The legs offer basically no movement at the hip and the knees can't even get a full bend. I just can't praise an action figure where half of the entire body is almost immovable.
>>11200085it was $20 and the flames look better than any other jw fire types
>>11199824>also what's the point of better range if the joints pop easier I'll give you that point, that is a complaint that I have with Shodo. that being said, the range is still better than being cucked by Jazzwares with a joint that looks like it SHOULD go further, but doesnt. >aren't even big figures?figure size doesnt matter. They could be as small as a AAA battery and I'll still play with it, so long as they can pull off a pose frrm the anime. If size and accuracy is your concern, Scale World exist.>b-b-but Shit World is shit!Fine, buy the claw machine vinyl figures then. They're just as big, if not bigger than selects, and accurate, but they aint gonna do anything.>Also the selects are still capable mobile poses anyway. Try to get Tyranitar in a slashing poseTry to get Raikou in a pouncing poseTry to get Ceruledge in a running sword slash poseWe can argue all day. I personally see Shodo as the better option articulation wise and fun wise. But that doesn't mean Selects doesn't have its gems. It just baffles me that Jazzwares is either so lazy or so stupid that they cant better engineer figures.
>>11200172So what? I don't care how much it cost. If I'm buying an action figure that is supposed to be articulated, I would like to to actually be able to move. The flames look good so we have to look past all the countless problems with the figure? Why do so many of you defend obvious shit figures??
>>11200199>Jazzwares is either so lazy or so stupid that they cant better engineer figuresQuoted for truth. How have the never leaned after almost 25 figures?
>>11200202Because so many more expensive figures have shitty articulation too. It's not a shit figure you esl dorkwad. It's my FOTY. It's my favorite pokemon figure of all.
>>11200236What a fantastic argument. Other shitty products exist too so this shitty product is just fine.
>>11200277$14
>>11200199why would I want a small thing of a big character to do a pose? It's a small thing and not worth buying anyway just because it's thuh only wun. and here's the terrible Select doing that pose terribly. I'd still rather take the time to custom it than buy a shorto just because it poses better. And Raikou can do a pouncing pose, same way it can still do running. Oh you, mean you want its forearms to bend downward. Don't care. Still not buying a shorto that it doesn't even have
New “Nukunuku Time” set of figures featuring Pokemon playing with yarn balls
The mental state of Poorware consumers, who no longer know what to invent to make their point...> At least it's not easy to get my figure, there's a merit! To justify the company's crap distribution on a previous thread.> At least I can customize my shoddy figurine, to get a result that's a little less shaky, but still shaky !Imagine you have to remove the shoulder pads, and the pose on the photo just looks weird and unnatural. I can't wait for someone to explain to me how great it is to have to look at all the figures on a shelf to choose the one that doesn't have any traces of glue, or too big a flaw in the paint or plastic. I'm also looking forward to the absurd justification of the non-existent scale of the products.
>>11200742It completely baffles me that Jazzwares consistently drops the ball with basic articulation for their Pokemon Selects figures, but their Fortnight Legendary figures were loaded with it. Did they just forget how articulation works or something?
>>11200742>why would I want a small thing of a big character to do a pose? It's a small thing and not worth buying anyway just because it's thuh only wunIf there isnt a better option, I'll go for the smaller figure, and I personally like smaller figures cause they take up less space and are fun to mess with in hand or on a desk. >here's the terrible Select doing that pose terribly your not making a case for yourself here anon...>I'd still rather take the time to customSo you'd rather mutilate your figure into having better articulation/better paint than to get a decent toy? at that point just by a resin statute or 3D print it.>And Raikou can do a pouncing pose, same way it can still do running. Oh you, mean you want its forearms to bend downward.Yes. thats how they pounce. and with Raikou, it looks its constipated trying to pull it off, and its worse for Entei. Suicune can somewhat do it but its still limited.>Still not buying a shorto that it doesn't even havenever said Shodo had a Raikou (which they should) and fine, dont buy it, just dont think Selects is any better than Shodo. both have their flaws, I just find Selects to be the more pathetic of the two.And I blame Tyranitar. Shodo has a waist swivel and a better opening mouth. Selects has NO waist swivel, despite being very easy to implement since Shodo could, and the mouth barely opens at all. And Jazzwares can make good toys, they just choose not to for Pokemon. >but ttar is too bulkyShodo still gotaway with it>but the spikes! Again, there are work arounds and Shodo did it.>TtAr DoEsNt NeEd A wAiSt JoInTthats stupid cause its a basic point of articulation. and if Ttar doesn't need it, neither does CeruledgeYou see what Im getting at? im tired and i've made my point, so ill just shut up now. i dunno know, say something quippy like "ur mom" or something idc
>>11200823That spider whos name i forget is fantastic.>>11200891Probably different teams. It's a pretty embarrassing effort, honestly. They could and should be done so much better.
Incredible how is always the same 3 retards arguing about the exact same thing
>>11201008>Probably different teamsSo why is the Pokemon team the only one that is horrible at doing their jobs? Every other Jazzwares line is better and has good articulation. Fortnite, AEW, Total Anime, Call Of Duty. It makes no sense.
>>11201038It makes sense because wct was just enterely absorbed by Jazwares, they were just rebranded
>>11201044So they can't improve at all? They clearly have people who know what they're doing that are working on other lines. They should shuffle them around and improve the Pokemon line. It makes no sense.
>>11199061Which are the best selects figures? Of the ones I own I'd say Samurott, Rayquaza and Charizard are top tier and the elemental birds are the only only other ones that don't suck. Stopped bothering after how braindead the Raikou figure is.
>>11201111Toxtricity is pretty good, but missing some key articulation (like all Selects). I hear good things about Flygon, hut I never even found that one.
>>11201054Im not saying that you fucking idiot. Im just telling you why the pokemon line doesnt get much better, wct awful staff is still behind every figure
>>11201254Yo be clear, I'm >>11200891, not >>11201054. I'm aware that companies have different teams for different lines, so I see your point. It's just like how GI Joe Classified figures are really great, but Marvel Legends are kind of shitty in comparison.
>>11200966I'd still rather have a big statue than a small super-posable toy. Ypu mention TTar only because you gloss over that there are others still better than Shorto. Then Raikou because it doesn't even have a Shorto. You choose to be stuck with dead-scale toys because you're desperate for the first thing that exists. You can't even mutilate a Shorto because its joints are weak anyway.
>>11201347You're talking about dead scale, when Jazwares doesn't even have scale.
>>11201404Great. Now we're gonna have days of Scale World v. Jazwares debate. This is why nobody posts anything here anymore. The discord has all the reveals and find and it's silent here because of you idiots. There were new Jazwares Galar Zigzagoon, Tatsugiri and Noibat figs discovered in addition to the Crocalor seen from a few weeks ago.
>>11201420I just said Jazwares doesn't have scale, that's the truth. What's wrong with my post?Especially since I'm not >>11200966
I hope both the shodumbass and the scalefag shove a bunch of toys up their asses and die
>>11201111Weird. Samurott is the first figure I put in the attic after just a few days on display. It's a cool figure but the sword pegs are so unsightly to me. Not a huge fan of the Charizard either. The Rayquaza is pretty nice. My favorites are garchomp, flygon, and lugia.>>11201030These are the types of autists I desperately try to avoid irl.
why do i feel like the jazwares line is a bit of a scamthe figures are all small, even the big ones, they're not ultra quality for the price and sizefucking rayquaza is being sold for $50 where i live
>>11201951>the figures are all small, even the big onesAre you talking about scale or physical size? They're pretty damn big.Strictly for the price, size, and unique Pokemon, they're far from a scam. You could feel you overpaid because the figures themselves aren't particularly good as an articulated toy, but articulation aside these are definitely worth it, especially compared to other comparatively priced figures.
>>11201951>rayquaza is being sold for $50 where i liveWhy? Where? And how is that Jazwares' fault?
Used to be nice here, where we would share pokemon toys and review them. Now it always turns into some kind of argument. Was butthurt when I shared something here. Might never share anything here again.
>>11202115It's how it is. If someone doesn't like something they don't want others to enjoy them. Just look above, there are some reviews, both negative and positive, and you have people constantly just chirping. It is what it is, you shouldn't take anything too personally on this anonymous board for toys.
>>11201404Still a better scale than what Fail World and Shortos are
>>11201951You're right, a good proportion of Jazwares products have dimensions close to 1/20 scale (to give an idea for comparison). The only ones that are really big are Select and Epic. However, these large models are similar in size to Scale World's largest models. And they concern a minority of products in their entire ranges.Tyrantrum is one of the biggest Jazwares, well, it's the size of Groudon SW. A very large Pokemon like Solgaleo and Lunala, Gyarados, etc. are just 1/20 in size.
>>11202212Scale World has a scale and really sticks to it, despite some rare mistakes like Rayquaza. On the other hand, talking about a scale for Jazwares doesn't make sense. They just have several standardized sizes and a good proportion of the products have different scales. All the 4"5 Battle Feature Figures on Pokemon of around 2m in height are close to 1/20 (for example Bewear, Lapras, Flygon, Tyranitar, Arcanine). On the other hand, a large Pokemon (Solgaleo) in the bigger ranges like Epic looks great next to Bewear and Arcanine, as they're all close to 1/20.At the same time, Pokemon between 1.5m and 2.2m located in Select and Epic have a completely different scale and don't necessarily all fit together.Other 4"5 Battle Feature Figures, representing smaller Pokemon such as Infernape, are close to 1/12. They make their sizes randomly.
>>11201111Raikou is when I checked out too. i think the decline in quality became apparant there. I got Charizard, the birds, Tyranitar, and Suicune. I think Charizard, Rayquaza, and the Bird trio are the best. but for the birds i think it's more about having them all together looking cool, than being amazing figures or anything. At this point I'm really only interested in any "Epic", but for whatever reason you can't find them in the US without paying double the price online.(still waiting for Amazon to stock that individual Metagross) And I'm certainly not paying above retail for jazzware figures lol.
>>11201951>line is a bit of a scamWell yeah, but->fucking rayquaza is being sold for $50 where i liveThat's all on the seller.

>>11202833Honestly I prefer a scale respected correctly on a single collection, even if it is different from my other collections (after all SW has trainers and Pokemon, we lack nothing). Than despair because one product in ten corresponds to a scale that the manufacturer does not even care about. The 1/12 scale is such a bad idea for Pokemon, that most game box legendaries will never fit on this scale, even though they are among the most important monsters in the license.
>>11202853Just to remind him of the facts he doesn't seem to know about the products he consumes. Otherwise, this Scizor set is very interesting, it looks really good. I'm just a little surprised he didn't put metallic paint on it like they did with Gholdengo and Miraidon. For the Paradoxes, I think they will do some when they look at the sets with Terapagos. When the anime reaches its climax. We still have a lot of time, the next game and the next generation are not for today

>>11203043I wouldn't go so far as to insult Americans, that's not very correct. But I do agree that their Jazwares products are of poor quality, and that there are some really absurd excuses to justify everything. Not to mention that a range like Select doesn't even do what it's designed to do, which is a bit of an aberration. I can understand that we may not be interested in other brands, because it does not correspond to their criteria, each range has its characteristics which reach different targets, and there are no criteria superior to others . But what sets other manufacturers apart from Jazwares is that they generally do what they are intended to do well, and the quality is there. There's a long list of issues that Jazwares needs to address, but unfortunately we're stuck because the situation tends to stagnate.

I've heard some people say they're decent though.tl;dr: best figures in the Select line are the ones that can fly. most everything else is either shit or has terrible articulation/joints.
>>11207076Mostly agree overall.Well afterwards, even if Charizard is well articulated, I must have had trouble thinking that he is pretty. It has some pretty unsightly joints, then between the slightly shiny plastic and the eyes printed on a smooth surface, it's not incredible in terms of proportions. But at least the sacrifice will have served a purpose since it is articulated correctly
>>11207075>typhlosion was almost good if it wasn't for the shit neck if you wanted it on all foursLike how he had that little girl he groomed and raped?
>>11207076golisopod is decent. zeraora sucks.
>>11207076I agree with most your ratings too. The most puzzling thing is that if they just slightly improved the existing articulation and designed them with the proper amount of range, most these figures would be very good. The solution is so fucking simple, yet they seem totally incompetent and unable to figure that out.
...bisharp?
