Meanwhile 2016 lost a lot of the unique traits and moved towards a more "generic hero" look, but the focus on proper Bionicle-style parts like the Unity Piece and greater use of Technic in their construction still make them seem somewhat higher-quality in comparison.

Okay, I had some realizations about early story concepts.>Mata Nui is not equal to the Great Spirit robot, he's only the AI controlling it>Makuta is another AI cooperating with Mata Nui (that's why they are "borthers"), but due to a glitch Mata Nui shut down and Makuta took over>the Great Beings aren't the creators of the GSR but the Great Spirit robots themselves (in early concepts they planned it to be six of them)>the Red Star is another GSR>Papu and Rangi (later renamed Great Beings) are the GSR robot and the Red Star>the Toa are from the Rangi robot (Red Star), he sent them to fix the error inside the Papu robot>Takua is also from the Red Star/Rangi robot (that's why the developers of MNOG and the GBA game referred to him as "the visitor"), this explains why he wasn't working like the other Matoran and instead he walked around the island helping out the Turaga and the Matoran in need, he was sent by Rangi with a special mission just like the Toa
>>11225421Thinking of it, the last one might not be true. Takua coming down from the Red Star on his own but the Toa needing his signal to come doesn't make sense. But maybe he worked as a "probe" of sorts, seeing if there is a problem down there and later signaling the Toa if needed. But I'm certain he's not native to the island or the Papu robot. Maybe he's from one of the four other robots? Or maybe from the finger islands?

How come Roodaka's so expensive complete secondhand? She's always like $90-100. All her pieces seem really common and cheap, with the exception of her set-exclusive silver rahkshi boobs, but even those are usually ~$9 ea. on BL. Where is this giant price coming from? Do that many coomers really not know how to part out pieces?

And there was one store that exclusively sold Bionicle/Hero Factory/constraction stuff. But they mostly sold these custom Bionicle sets, and there was a shitton of different ones. Like, the thread wouldn't survive off of nostalgia, discussing Bionicle lore details and discontinued sets from 20 years ago alone. And most people think of it as a Bionicle AND constraction thread anyway.
