Hello fellow Charizard Y enjoyers.

The X is definetly the more popular variant because its way more unique and "omg black dragon!" same reason Charizard and Rayquaza shinies are so popular to begin with. Figure looks good in the pic. will probably be my first select pickup in over a year.

Yea I know he has that stare but I think my issue is they way they did it doesn't really look right. The white circle is usually cut off at the top or bottom depending on which way its looking and it usually isn't a full circle like it is on the figure. Like in the first reply's image its also cut off at the bottom and it looks more natural.

Gotcha, thank you! I just don't want to miss this one like I did a few in the past so I'm a bit paranoid. The Targets around me are sometime fickle with getting stuff in stock, and with the holidays coming soon I want to be ready to snatch it ASAP. That is good, sounds like it may be coming to the states soon then!
>>11213805

>>
>>11213830

>>
>>11213863
>I just don't want to miss Golisopod
Unless you're like 6 months late to the game, it's nearly impossible to miss any figure in the US. Target puts up pre-orders for each one several weeks before they are released and then once that date hits, just about every store gets at least a couple if you missed the online pre-order. They just did Rayquaza and then Ceruledge from this wave, so Golisopod or Zeraora are next.

This is probably like classic bendy toys, most of those hold up fine over time. I had one or two where the wire ripped out, but this was a rare occurrence. I still have bendy figs from my childhood that are fine, they don't age like seamless bodies if that's what you were worried about.

>>11213893
One of them is a modular collect-em-up scenario, almost build-a-fig style, while the other is a complete mini-vignette. . To say noting of the halloween theme with both the Pokemon and scenery, versus the other one being simply autumn themed with general "cute" Pokemon (plus Greninja). Rather dissimilar in my eyes. Not that there's anything wrong with the re-ment, mind.
>>
>>11214083
Bro you missed the gat damn point entirely. It's like pointing out the pepperoni distribution in a "biggest pizza" contest, like who gives a fuck? I'm simply saying it's a tiered tree with platforms for Pokemon to stand on. You took this comparison to ridiculous levels lmao
>>
>>11213805
looks really nice, does it have extra room "inside" to place more pokemon?. been looking for it along the halloween battle packs, no luck still
>>
>>11214840
>Hallowen battle packs
No shot anymore. They showed up on week in early Sept at only the couple of stores that have the extra tree overflow toy section near electronics and then never again. Maybe 5% of stores got one case each and that was it.
>>
>>11214840
There's nothing inside or at the back. If you want something peeking out the window you have to put something there yourself for it to stand on.
>>
>>11212579
Can't wait to find out the hips don't move in or out or some shit.
>>
>>11214912
I mean, they clearly don't move much. I'm sure the hinge will be almost non-existent and they'll basically only swivel. But what else would you expect when the design has the flat hip fins right against the rounded waist is like that?
>>
>>11211589
I would have been fine with the bendy arms if they could be swapped out for regular arms. Surpised this company hasn't done any shiny chase variants.
>>
>>11215380
>shiny chase variants.
that would be hell. Most regular figures hardly sell, then we get anniversary silver, pearly, and glitter repaints that stick around
>>
>>11215380
If it had to be one or the other I would've preferred just having the arms with hands. Not really a fan of the bendy plastic.
>>
>>11215441
Shiny Pokémon are probably more desirable than Silve or pearly variants. If anything it'll hurt the sale of the normal figures even more.
>>
>>11214040
Mt hasn't cracked yesterday so thank goodness. I do keep my shit in glasses cases with full atmosphere control though so that probably helps
>>
>>11215441
>>11215501
>shiny pokemon figs
How many times are people gonna ask about it. No company outside of Japan has made figures of any Pokemon's shiny colors in ages. It seems pretty clear they aren't being allowed to do that. As much as toy makers love to repaint stuff to sell, you bet they'd do it if they could.

This month's checklist update was small. Just the added 2" Holiday figure pics.

As far as releases from October, we have:
-Fighting Type Amazon 3-pack (Infernape, Lucario, Pancham)
-8" Deluxy Vinyl Kanto Starter 4-pack at Costco
-8-Figure Multi Pack w/Primeape, Lycanroc, Ninjask and others at Gamestop and Best Buy
-Target 3-Pack (Garchomp, Lcuario, Sprigatito) online now
-Hoenn Starter 4-Pack in stock on some South American sites
-Sinnoh Starter 4-Pack in stock at US Target's site for shipping next week
-2" Five below Singles Xmas 2024 wave is out and includes Eevee with bow, Pika holding present, Elf hat Meowth, and Rowlet with present
-2" Select Display Case wave with Charcadet, Impidimp and Drilbur is out at Canadian Gamestops
-4" Vinyl Wave 10 (Chimchar, Torchic, Mudkip) and Surprise Attack Singles Wave 5 (Ralts, Croagunk, Carvanha) are starting to appear in stock on European sites

As far as new upcoming stuff:
-Select Mega Charizard X, Deoxys, Cinderace for 6" Selects
-2" Noibat, Galarian Zigzagoon, Tatsugiri, Spring Eevee, new Berry Pikachu, Deerling, Plusle, Minun, and maybe Dwebble
-3" Crocalor
-Walmart listings for the next 4 Clip n Go Waves hint at 2" Tentacool, Aron, Blitzle, Frigibax, Sandshrew, Minccino, Swablu, Tandemaus, and Buizel may be in those waves
-3" Select 'Iridescent Shine' series starting with the 4 Kanto starters in Wave 1
>>

>>
>>11218885

>>
>>11211716
Have they made all the balls besides beast ball and the hisuian ones? I guess beast ball only really goes with Poipole and the ball design has the yellow parts sticking out.
>>
>>11219117
Theres a few random ones they havent done but I dont remember if they were ever in the anime. Safari, Sport, Park and Cherish balls are what's left before the Beast ball and all the Hisui ones.
>>
>>11219059
Wait I havent heard of that or seen pics yet. I looked trough all the ones in here and the last thread and didn't see Dwebble either. Where is this coming from?
>>
>>11219125
Right, of those ones I should've thought of cherish. Maybe if they ever decide to do all the small mythicals they could make a cherish ball to put them in.
>>
>>11219133
Were all those in the anime? They may not be able to make them if they weren't in it
>>
>>11219134
I think they went to the locations that had Safari, Sport and Park balls but those early anime designs might've been different from how they look in game. Cherish I'm not sure. Beast balls were used on all the ultra beasts.
>>
>>11219140
I don't think we'll ever get Cherish or Beast balls since they'd need a new sculpt and they've been repainting the same pokeball one since the beginning.

Got Suicune already, am good with the Cinderace plamo, so just getting ZardX and Deoxys.
Still waiting on those Alolan selects like Decidueye. Cinderace feels a bit out of nowhere after what we knew, or it's a late Journeys tie-in to follow Lucario and Mewtwo.
>>
>>11219565
Same. Only want Charizard and Deoxys since this Cinderace will be too tall. If you're following some of the rumors regarding Legends ZA, Zeraora and Cinderace make more sense. I'd love to see Decidueye and Blaziken that was rumored so long ago.
>>
>>11219168
That looks neat! Very few companies have made figures of Dwebble and I dont think any had the shell removable
>>
>>11219565
>Cinderace feels a bit out of nowhere after what we knew
Feels like the things people find in listings only come true like maybe half the time. There's a pretty long list of stuff like Zoroark, Salamence, Blaziken, Decidueye, Mega Lucario (I'd imagine this one is coming), Scizor, Trevenant. Cinderace is one of those Pokemon like Ceruledge that you kinda just expect them to make eventually. Deoxys was a nice surprise.

>>11219652
With how prominent Blaziken was during XY maybe they'll drop the figure for Z-A and hopefully the base Blaziken.
>>
>>11219708
>Feels like the things people find in listings only come true like maybe half the time.
True. So many figures from the early waves of this line from listings are still missing. I wonder why so many waves changed from the time jazwares gave retailers the listing info and the time the waves went into production?
>>
>>11219713
With the early waves at least I imagine its cause plans kept changing with how they wanted to do things. Like originally it was 4 new figures a wave then it went to 2 and 2 reprints with Lucario and Zapdos. Then they did a wave with just Moltres before going to Target exclusive where they settled on 3 new figures a wave. Then certain Pokemon choices are probably being pushed up in the waiting line for promotion of things happening in the franchise. With the 3 beasts taking a slot out of 3 each wave you only had 2 flex slots to kinda do other stuff.

>>
>>11220657
The distribution on these figures is so retarded, you have to stalk every store you know daily to see if they even got them or not.
Don't use ebay. Check Amazon/Smyths/etc instead. Their average store price should be like 20~25 pounds.

You don't have to be so sensitive, geez. The other(s) are right though. Every single 6" figure gets a pre order on the Target site a few weeks to a month before the release date. Like Ceruledge pre order that was up for about a month before its release date in early October. I thought it was pretty well known since I saw that thing posted on Twitter, IG, discord, many youtube videos, and here. Even on non-Pokemon specific sites like TNI.

>Pikachu
there’s so many, mostly in static poses. just pick the one in the pose you like the most. the figuarts is terrible and doesn’t scale with anything.
>Jigglypuff
again there’s quite a few options in static poses. probably go with one of the jazwares figures.
>Pichu
same deal
>Mewtwo
figuarts for articulation and looks, jazwares select for scale
>Squirtle
sam deals as the first 3
>Ivysaur
probably the 3” jazwares figure
>Charizard
figuarts or jazwares
>Lucario
figuarts or variable action heroes
>Greninja
plamo
>Incineroar
the tomy figure

Bros...be honest, what are his chances?
>>

They've made some super random choices for figures so probably not a 0 chance, but it seems a bit unlikely. More of a chance in the 6" line but then it would be super small which would suck.

>>

Looks like I have to search the aftermarket for various Pokémon figures.
>>
>>11222623
A non zero chance cause it might end up as a Select. It seems like there's somewhat of a conscious effort to evenly distribute the Pokemon choices between the different gens. Golisopod, Zeraora, Toxtricty and Cinderace helped even out the choices so later gens got some more representation. What I'm getting at is when comes to gen 7 picks Buzzwole is probably up there along with Decidueye and Incineroar. You never know what they might do.

Are you looking for scale with Figma and other similar sized things, or articulation? For scale, go with the knock off vinyl piggy banks. There's one standing and one sitting and both are around 6.5-7" tall I believe. For articulation, get the Tomy 5" articulated one.
>>

That's hard to find now. Both were easily available for like $60 or less just a few years back. Now only Groudons appear online. The only completed sale for a Kyogre on ebay from the last few months was one from last month that sold for $200

I think if you do see it, you may just have to pay whatever the seller is asking.

Do you guys consider Megas all generation 6 or do you consider them to be part of the generation where the original forms are from? All the pokemon sites like Serebii, Bulbapedia etc consider them part of the original generation. But that seems odd.
>>
>>11224750
For something like that chart for figures I'd group them with when the design itself made its debut cause its the cleaniest way. It doesn't really feel right to group stuff like G-Moltres and H-Goodra with Kanto and Kalos respectively cause they didn't exist when those gens were current and they were new designs made for gen 8. Same with megas, regional variants and gigantimax.

>>11224775
Yes!!! I'd love a Volcarona and some other Pokemon like Aegislash and Tentacruel that don't lend themselves to having too much articulation, but they don't really have any other line in Jazwares' current options that feel like a good fit.
>>
>>11224697
Gen 5 has some good picks like Genesect, Krookodile, Golurk, Leavany, Lilligant Hisuian, Emboar, Excadrill, and Golurk for popular Bipedals. Scolipede and all of the 3 knights would work too for quadrupeds
>>
>>11224802
Half those options are horrible for the 6" line though.

Genesect and Krookodile are under 5' tall, Leavany and Hisui Lilligant are under 4' tall and Excadrill is only about 2.5' tall.

So, do you guys want them to do figures of mons that have been made in the epic line in the Select line? Or are you fine with combining? Like I have the Epic Venusaur, Lugia etc? I think they're good but do you want them again with more articulation assuming Jazwares was going to?
>>
>>11225042
I'm hoping Bandai will try licencing the anime again so we can get Liko and Meowscarada SHFs. I don't think Max Factory or TPCI are interested in making more figma or they would have done more Kanto characters years ago already.
>>
>>11225310
If Bandai ever makes a comeback I hope whatever the first figure is gives them a strong start. I feel like if they lead with Liko it'll be dead again.

>So, do you guys want them to do figures of mons that have been made in the epic line in the Select line?
No.
>Or are you fine with combining?
Yes
>>
>>11225285
Why would you need another Lugia or Venusaur? What other points of articulation could you possible want them to have that they don't already have while also being underscaled in the 6" line? That makes no sense.
>>
>>11225285
No I wouldn't want them to be made again. Every select slot is precious and I'd rather see different Pokemon get their first figure than seeing a redo. Getting a second Venusaur before a Blastoise would be annoying. All the figures look the same style so combining is fine.
>>
>>11225357
>What other points of articulation could you possible want
I would say more the type rather than the amount. Like giving more ball joints instead of swivel but yeah not that big of a deal. Beyond that I don't care that much desu.

>>11225362
>Getting a second Venusaur before a Blastoise would be annoying.
That I agree with. I have wanted them to make Blastoise and Feraligatr for a while. I don't mind them dipping into newer gens but I wish they would finish the starter trios and legendarys.
>>
>>11225400
>starter trios and legendarys.
Starters for the 6" line, absolutely.
Legendaries - what else is left that works for that line? Swords trio is lame and nobody cares enough for them. I'd like both S/V legendaries though. Darkrai, Genesect and Zarude would work well also. All the others are either super small that are fine as 2" figures or super large that would be way too small as a 6" figure.

>what else is left that works for that line?

Depends on what you consider too big or small. Largest mon in the select line so far is Rayquaza at 23' and then Dragapult at 9' 10" those two are the extremes, smallest is Lucario at 3' 11" which the figure has been acknowledged to be oversized. Pretty large range with an average of about 6' - 7' that most Legendary's fit in, and the average goes up as you add newer generations.

Lucario - 3' 11"
Cinderace - 4' 7"
Latias - 4′ 7″
Gredninja - 4' 11"
Zeraora - 4' 11"
Samurott - 4' 11"
Cresselia - 4' 11"
Darkrai - 4' 11"
Toxtricity - 5' 3"
Ceruledge - 5' 3"
Zapdos - 5' 3"
Deoxys - 5' 4"
Articuno - 5' 7"
Charizard - 5' 7"
Typlosion - 5' 7"
Regirock - 5' 7
Heatran - 5' 7"
Regice - 5' 11"
Raikou - 6'
Garchomp - 6' 3"
Registeel - 6' 3"
Golisopod - 6' 7"
Flygon - 6' 7"
Moltres - 6' 7"
Mewtwo - 6' 7"
Suicune - 6' 7"
Latios - 6' 7"
Entei - 6' 11"
Dragapult - 9' 10"
Arceus - 10' 6"
Groudon - 11' 6"
Regigigas - 12' 2"
Ho-oh - 12' 6"
Kyogre - 14' 9"
Lugia - 17' 1"
Dialga - 17′ 9″
Palkia - 20' 8"
Giratina - 22' 8"
Rayquaza - 23'

I'm not going to keep listing more but you get the point. I don't care if some are somewhat up or down scaled if we get decent articulated figures of them. I really want Ho-oh, Salamence and Groudon.

For a 1/20 scale, is Blitzle actually this small in the games?
>>
>>11226280
Jazwares can't decide if it wants to be Fail World compatible or not
>>
>>11226280
Blitzle measures 80cm according to the Pokedex. This means that if this Poorwares figure measures 4cm, it will be in the correct Scale World dimensions.
>>
>>11226280
That figure may be too large for a perfect 1/20 scale. But it's also too small for most Jazwares figures. Some of their 2 inch ones really get shafted and should have been 3 inch figures instead.
>>
>>11226622
At best, it's 1/20. At worst, it's extremely close to 1/20. Especially as it seems to me that the lightning-bolt-shaped horn doesn't count in the measurements.

In the pic with the yellow cannon parts together, there's nothing on the shoulders or upper arms to get those to attach. I think it may even just have an entire different set of upper and/or lower arms. Since it def does have a different set of yellow cannon halves.

What are the best trainer options right now? Anything that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg? Preferably at least somewhat articulated.

Not much. The only trainers are the Figma and SH Figuarts ones. Most of the more recent Figmas from the last 3-4 years are probably about $75-100 each and older ones plus the SH Figuarts Ash and Team Rocket are all $200+ per figure.

There's a few really shitty Ash figures from Tomy, or Jakks you can probably find for under $30, but they're really not good.

This greninja looks good but it has to use so many stickers

>>
>>11236319
the new plamos are less deceptively sticker-dependant. Cinderace and Gardevoir are cool too
>>

Most modern ones. Greninja's still alright with stickers, but anything before Lucario/Riolu are absolutely horrible with them. They use so many, and so ugly too with folding over curved areas and shit. The box image just lies in your face.

So I'd say which are worth it besides Greninja:
Gengar, Gardevoir, Cinderace and hopefully Scizor, Meowscarada, Ceruledge & Armarouge (those 4 are all pre-order right now).

If you don't care about scale/not getting the Jazwares:

I've always wanted Bea, Nessa and Crispin. The only oldies I want are Brock.

Yeah. She's my favorite trainer figma, so I really hate it that she's got a bad faceprint and paint issues.

I still see Raihan on sale everywhere. I stand that he's the line killer. Might've been popular with fujos in Japan, but outside nah.

Ash or Red reprint, Brock, Misty, Gary, May, Dawn, Cynthia, Steven and maybe Serena would all sell extremely well as long as they weren't ridiculously priced

We're in the 10k yen era.
They will be.

Yeah that's my worry. The high price of current Figmas will keep casuals away and the high prices are too high to allow some of the newer but less popular characters to sell enough. It's so stupid that Jazwares doesn't have a trainer line. Even if the figs weren't super great, trainer figures priced for retail would sell so well to both casuals and collectors

Can only hope Jada or something picks it up.

The best shot is probably jazwares themselves cause they're already doing pokemon. Calling the 6" line Trainer Team Series but not having any trainers to go with them is a little strange.

We're of course talking about improved trainers in a new line. Duh. They've done articulated humanoid characters in many other lines well.

Arceus is pretty nice. Only stickers on its eyes.

pokemon scale world is the only one making trainer figures. on their own, without any pokemon, I think they are about 10-20$

Moncolle's made a handful too, most recently the 2 protags and Cap's trainer.

If I wanted small trainers, they should've made Bonnie, Poppy or Eevee loli
