So, the first product of T.E.S.T. has been released and they look soild indeed.Paid for mine, waiting for other stuff to relase and ship. Now, it's time to see if they sell enough to make Zoichi and bike waifu from Biomega.
Wondering where the dude got this Alita head.
Packaging look interesting, very simular to the 1000toys one.
Innards are curious as well.
>>11213445let us know if you find out.
>>11213449Why is Bandai the only company that can make compact packaging?
>>11213449so that's why I have to pay 50 bucks for shipping instead of 20. they look crazy cheap, I wouldn't pay more than 60 for each, and they ask for 300.I don't think the biomega stuff will see the light of the day. they were made under 1000toys, so 1000toys has the right to release them. which they won't, T.E.S.T. was created because 1000toys was releasing everything BUT nihei's shit.
>>11213458>>11213445theres some on ebayhttps://www.ebay.com/itm/122862202867?_trksid=p2332490.c101224.m-1
>>11213831The main sculptor and head of the company said, that it all depends on how well they sell.
>>11214051that'd be great news, if abara wasn't more obscure than popular nihei works, which are already niche. AND they weren't asking for an insane amount of money that'd deter even hardcore fans like me. I gave in, or rather surrendered my wallet but I don't expect these selling at all.
Loving Nayta, such good looking aesthetics.Though wish we got an alt. head for her with no gauna helmet. Now thining of what figure would have a head of the fenotype she had.
Glad he has both Wolverine-claw hands. In what chapter did he use these though?Just as other weapons from the two-pack DX?
Saw these browsing BBTS but these look sick as fuck, price is crazy though.Nice to see something niche get something good. I'd love to use these as Goo Mutations for Alien themed displays.
>>11214383Buy them at HLJ or AmiAmi, the two-pack ver.It comes with additional weapons. Though combine it with something, as boxes are big. Air Parcel is the default shipping option.
Some japanese madlad bought two...So... Double Swords!
And double sable looking swords, yep
>>11213443These guys are ass at painting their products.
>>11215504They look much better in person.
>>11215594I have that etherow, he's way too glossy. Someday I'll gather up the balls to hit him with dullcoat. The new Abara stuff just looks visually boring. Just black with a grey-wash over it. Would be fine if it wasn't so expensive.
>>11215705I just want to get that Zoichi and bike combo. Nihei-fags, get your wallets out (please).
>>11213434I don't know what these are and I don't like them therefore I will not be purchasing them. Thanks.
>>11215504The made a wash. Though it's a white wash, shich doesnt look good. Someday, I will just give him some black wash. Or even a repaint, to match some manga covers of Aposimz. Had the picture somewhere.
Here it is, wish 1000toys did this or at leaast followed up on their promos. Perhaps it's Sentinel's fault, they did intervene in 1000toys matters, as far as I know.
>>11216373Seems to be a common theme with TEST and 1000toys. The new expensive Halo figures have basic-bitch paintjobs as well.
>>11216824Well, only time will tell how T.E.S.T. does in the long runThough, now I know how to aplly weathering, so it ain't critical to meBut the new Abara dudes do have gray wash to show off the details, I'll give them that
>>11214569Just checked prices and definitely better than before, thanks for the recommendations!
>>11214231Synth human female, paint the hair white. If you don't want to ruin her hair piece, you could also try to make a mold of it with some putty and duplicate it with resin or something.
>>11218211
>>11219112Damn,they couldn't even apply the simplest wash to them. Not so noticeable on Noble 6, but Carter is where this issue shines. In addition to lack of accesories, exclusivity and tarded pricing. What the fuck are they thinking with this line...
>>11219413Most of the weeaboos on this board seem to hate washes and dry brushing... but mostly because japanese brands in general don't use them.So you can't blame them for only producing what their fans ask for.
>>11220354They seem to have washes, but on the minimal level or to bring out the details, like here. Light in the photo shows there's plenty of paint to show the grooves, we just don't notice it.
Honestly feels amazing to have these two on my desk. Never really thought it'd happen. The guy feels great, especially with how big he is. No complaints here. The chick's feet and ankles are kind of fucking awful, but maybe I just need to heat her up a little bit. Out the box though just getting her to stand was very not enjoyable. Neither of them having stands is also disappointing, and they're both very plasticy compared to the nice soft feel Killy had. I wouldn't call the construction cheap, just not very smooth, but again, maybe some heating will help. Quality wise they leaving something to be desired, but aesthetically they're a real pleasure to have in hand, and I don't find their range particularly lacking either. Here's a shitty desk shot for now. I'd recommend them if you're a fan of the source, otherwise definitely weigh your investment because they're a little too pricey for what they are, even if the weapons are nice.

>>11221332Go on and drink the regular monster bud, i doubt its much diffrent calorie wise. These figures look pretty cool but being all black i feel like something is being lost in the photos. Id consider getting a bootleg if that becomes an option.
>>11221339For the longest time I thought the Killy figure looked really off until I bit the bullet, and actually having it was a night and day difference. I think you'll probably need a certain lighting set up to really make the shiny, chitinous carapace look good in photo, but the sculpting is stellar. You can see the skull between the eyeslits on the guy, and the layering of the girl's asymmetrical jaw looks really good. All in all I'm happy with them besides the chick's tiny feet and low ankle range, but I still need to see if that isn't just stiffness. And sometimes all they have is sugar free, at this point I just drink them for the taste of battery acid.
>>11221339>Go on and drink the regular monster bud, i doubt its much diffrent calorie wise.NTA but this is a weirdly uninformed thing to say. A standard 16oz can of Monster contains 54g of sugar, which is 108% of your daily allowance. Think about that. MORE than your daily allowance of sugar in a single can. I'm no health food junkie, I drink Monster after all, but the gulf between this and zero sugar is massive. And Monster Zero doesn't even taste weird, so it's a no-brainer to switch if you care even a little bit about your weight.Kind of fucked up when I look back on my college/gaming days, an remember that I used to think nothing of crushing a 24oz Monster (81g of sugar) in one go.
fucking when
>>11221376if Abara figures sell well.
>>11221376I wish they did this first.
>>11221830Main guy at T.E.S.T., Yuta Tobari, mentioned, that bike is expensive to make and they are testing waters/getting money with Abara figures, to be able to make this.Without Sentinel to back them up, it's harder to do business in general.
>>11221376>>11221944Just give me the dude without the bike, I don't want to spend an extra $180 on a prop.
>>11213434I missed on the original releases but at least I could pre-order pic related, really looking forward to this fella.
>>11221358That zero sugar stuff gives me a really rough headache, maybe it was the brand more than the sugar substitute but i just avoid it all the same. I like monster coffee more than monster, monster makes me jittery and has other side effects i dont enjoy. But yknow, ill look at these labels more often.
>>11221673>>11221944I agree with >>11221830 on this one, the entire model of "this niche property figure needs to sell in order to fund this other niche property figure" is already a house of cards and i feel like Biomega is at least marginally more widely known than Abara and has the generic cyberpunk vibe to maybe pull in people who are unfamiliar to what it is.
>>11222618>this niche property figure needs to sell in order to fund this other niche property figuremore like we must sell this obscure thing with an extremely high pricetag, because we don't want it to sell actually, but if you idiots are big enough suckers, we'll try to shove something even pricier down your throats next time. sentinel is fucking cancer. I remember they had to get ridiculed in public for them to lower the price on the devil may cry figures. sentinel is extremely lucky that they are the only company offering these, bandai would've sold these for 70-80. thank fuck I'm only interested in abara, biomega, and a sanakan they would never make.
>>11213440I figure this would be a good thread to ask. I think Nihei's art is rad, would love a Killy fig, but every photo I see of it looks like absolute shit. Like the pure black look reminds me of like, old cheap ass unpained black figures. Even this picture like, gives me flashbacks to the shitty shiny black plastic on a old Godzilla 98 toy i had as a kid. I still kinda want one though, so I have to ask, does it not look like shitty melty plastic in hand?
>>11222790...but they are making Abara and Biomega so aren't you fucked?
>>11223069It feels like a particularly great Marvel Legends. Which is a bit disappointing for such an expensive toy, but it's solid, it poses well, eh. I'm still glad I bought it. The plastic isn't actually bad quality, it just kinda looks that way.
>>11223754This isn't talking about the joint setup btw, which is very un-ML. Just the feel and look of the plastic.
>>11223120absolutely. I've already bought the abara ones. I meant it in a way IF they make cibo, titania, dhomochevsky, tanikaze nagate, I won't be buying. I know there's a titania prototype at least.
>>11223857Well, don't think thwy will go that deep.To be honest, hoping TEST goes the old 1000toys direction - making artists's designs in plastic, in a direct collaboration.
Found an interesring feature: many parts are interchangable. If you have two of ach, many variations are possible to make. Now I am thinking about getting a second Nayuta.
Loving the symmetry here.
There is a face underneath the mask
>>11222226Kinda same.Though can't grasp the idea behind this variation, like what's the inspiration here? What do the hyeroglyphs on him mean?
>>11226259
>>11227016Well, I am a sucker for Synths, so maybe. Always lover to customise them in certain ways, to fit certain roles and so on.
He kinda looks like a nice stand designWhat song would fit it the best?
>1000toys will never make Hero of Hell Chainsaw ManSigh...
