Amazon is stocking Revoltech figures themselves now. Official MSRP for most of them seems to be $100. Interestingly, even things that were Amiami/Kaiyodo store exclusives are available like the RailDex trio and the MonHun reprints.
>>11219499Sigh, now is not a good time to be a poorfag then, I do want a Rathalos and Glavenar...
>>11219632waow !i love glavenar of the fated quattro !!same with gammoh, aspatatas and mizitsuno !!!!!
soon...
Looks like the Chinese have already 3D printed replacement shins for Arkham Knight Batman
>>11219739>>11219739
>>11219649Gawd fucking damn I love Juri and her evil ass. I hope her original and SFV designs get revos.
>>11219743the second one is legit too tall. Its a weird illusion caused by the design of the thigh/ kneepad area but when you actually measure the original figure by using its own head (and I mean head AKA not counting the bat ears) as a comparison point its clearly over 8 heads tall which is definitely way more than it takes to even be considered "hero proportions"
>>11219844the problem is the low calf which makes you think that the knee has to be located further below.
>>11219858weirdly enough its definitely accurate to the original design, out of which i honestly never liked the boots even though everything is immaculately executed as far as "high tech batsuit" goes. I dont HATE the legs but it looks like hes wearing these massive ski-boots rather than having his legs armored too the way his upper body is with sensible shin guards and shit
>>11219844It's not the total height-to-head but the leg-to-torso ratio.
https://youtu.be/wQnscw6vL5wDabi review.
>>11219649Now that Luke is just around the corner, I hope kaiyodo also make a figure of his girlfriend.
i know im behind the curve by a decade but are there any websites out there for assemble borg? i wanted to get my first ones but theres no info out there about these no matter how hard i look. whats the best place to get these? yahoo japan? wasnt sure if i should buy 2 or 3 new, or just look for a loose part lot. wish i could see what people out there have made but i have no idea where to look.
YAMAGUCHI! GIVE ME ELDLICH, OR REVENDREAD SLAYER.
Ahhhhh I really want Hellsing figures
>>11222997after they fucked up neos? hell no
>>11223033At least there is an old Revo Alucard
>>11222975Definitely not eBay since the prices are absurd, I did manage to get the blue Jarknoid on ZenMarket and he cost me 45 bucks, by far the cheapest Assemble Borg I could find since the other Jarknoid ones are no less than 80 dollars in the best case scenario.I've seen the Nexus line being sold on Mercari and Solaris Japan at around 80 - 90 bucks (bear in mind these have more parts and accessories). I've no idea if they're still there at that price, I wanted the Skul Spartan but I couldn't purchase him back then.
>>11223136Quite an obvious statement, but I forgot to say that the price seen in Mercari/Solaris did not count the shipping cost. I didn't check on that back then either.
>>11223033Is CURRENT YEAR Hellsing still happening? Might get some OG figures out of it before it croaks.
>>11223136i notice on ebay that have some nexus figures for like 45-50 dollars do you think thats fair or too much? a lot of them are the recolored nexus robots. thought they might be a good starting point.i wonder if i can ever find a loose lot of just parts that might be a better value even if i spent like 100.00-200.00 on it.do any of these figures break or have fragle parts? some of the older clear ones look really fragile. if theyre anything like the older kaiyodo evangelion figures they would probably break easily.
>>11223398>CURRENT YEAR HellsingI don't follow, do you mean Hellsing Ultimate? Because that ended in like 2012.Drifters is still ongoing, but updates at fucking iceberg speeds.I don't think Hellsing's age prevents it from getting figures, though. It's a cult classic and very stylish, so both Hellsing and Drifters are good picks for Revos if they ever feel like revisiting them.
>>11223056I'm a big believer in second chances. Really excited for the monsterarts Stardust Dragon.
>>11223545Mmm, I too am no expert when it comes to Assemble Borg, afaik the prices were far less back then, but then again we're talking about 2012 (assuming that's when the line started) where the average Kaiyodo toy were around 20 bucks. If they are new or at least in good condition/full box+accessories then I'd say go for it. Because, as I said, the last time I checked they were far more pricey. >i wonder if i can ever find a loose lot of just partsMaybe Mercari or Yahoo Auctions have them, I did find some spare parts for certain items so you may have luck lurking there, can't promise anything though. >do any of these figures break or have fragle parts? some of the older clear ones look really fragileI' have an Eva (those from the very first Kaiyodo releases which still used monoshaft in the hips) and so far only the revolver joints are quite loose, none of them broke or anything. The back part was separated but that was my fault kek. I can't speak for other lines, in this case AB, cause I only have one. But I gotta say that the chin of my Jarknoid somehow snapped, it doesn't look like it broke cause there's clearly a peg to put the pieces together, but apparently it wasn't glued enough. Beats me if I was unlucky or if it's a QC issue, I too wish I could get a spare helmet.
>>11219864When you're fighting the types criminals that live in the arkham universe you definitely need ski boots.
>>11219743>>11219844Yeah I agree. First one looks bulky, second one looks like he has a peanut head.
>>11223813>>11223823definitely cool as fuck figure, kinda wish the clear version of carnage had a reissue because it suits him more and i dont feel like paying the massive pricetag on it also weirdly enough it seems like the symbiotes have some of the highest failure rates/ bad QC out of all AY.s ive heard of outside of maybe gambit? Ive seen multiple people have issues with the clear version of carnage having its central core body joint frozen/ then proceed to snap, venom having issues with his floppy upper body and mine for example has a fucked up screw that juts out of his other fist/ his arm kind of tore off clean off of the softer plastic joint that its probably "glued" onto by default (glued it back up into the joint and it works identically as if it had never been damaged, but this shit hasnt happened to me with any other ay)AK batman is currently on its way here so im hoping all of the dooming about the cape turns out to be exaggerated
>>11224044Well there's a new venom movie right? Maybe he'll get a reissue
>>11224044Perhaps the clear plastic made the QC even more notorious, I don't own any so I can't speak. I too wish Carnage got a reissue. For other AY toys, I just recall the Iron Spiderman and the 2.0 version to having popping upper torso and/or brittle knees.
>>11224044Yeah I boxed Venom shortly after I got him as posing him takes extra finesse and work due to how floppy he is. Really the only issue with mine is the weak torso that likes to disconnect. Also the floating abs never sit right.. Also the hole in the back for the stand is at a weird angle and too shallow for the stand peg. If they reissue him hopefully they address that. Still one the coolest figures ever released.
Man I finally got around to opening my Iron Spidey re-issue and I'm disappointed in the overall color tone. It's not going to show well in pics, but he's way more of an Orange-red than the red they show in promo images. I guess because for whatever retarded reason the base plastic is gold and they didn't apply enough coats of red overtop of it. Anyone else who owns this feel the same way? Maybe I got unlucky but I was expecting a RED spiderman.
>>11224243>I got him as posing him takes extra finesse and work due to how floppy he is.Yeah that is a VERY common issue. Im glad my venom is stiff as hell so im 100% content with it.>>11224044> dooming about the cape turns out to be exaggeratedWhat's the issue? Only huge flaw I know is that it uses faux leather which is a ticking timebomb no matter how you care for it, no exception.
>>11224301Is the base plastic gold? I'm pretty sure its that weird orange red color, and slightly marbelized.
25 dollar 3P Agent Anti Venom. Not sure how accepted these are in this thread but it's definitely worth the price.
>>11224759I think he's talking about the already released AY Batman that comes with the segmented cape and yeah its insane. I hate that figure so much because of that cape. You can get a soft goods one that is much better imo ebay etc.
>>11224806>>11224809I know it's a KO but both Anti and the normal CT Agent Venom I own feel better to pose than all of my legit AYs. The paints obviously not as good as the real thing but other than minor paint details issues they feel and pose really well. Also the paints not that bad even all the accessories are well sculpted and painted considering they are 25 dollar figures.
>>11224816aren't these manlets?
>>11224814>I think he's talking about the already released AY BatmanHe mentioned AK batman so i figured it was the new one. Yeah the og cape is a fuck too.>>11224806Fuck thats cool, link?
>>11224827the scale differences on these arent as drastic as their Mafex copies so not really. They are slightly smaller but you have to have them side by side to really tell.

>>11224841Fuck I bought it like 1 minute before you responded. Thank you anyway.IM guessing this is the stock photo they use for all so hopefully this is the """real""" ct one. Im grateful to you for letting me know antivenom repaint exists.
>>11224843yeah that should be the legit CT one. Theres only one version with the modified shoulers and legs without the spikes so you should be good if those are all the stock photos. There is a non CT vesion with spikes that looks like just a white recolor of CT's Agent Venom and its not as nice as this one.
>>11224838Oh, nice
>>11224845Gotcha thanks. Im excited since I got my real agent venom a month ago and it is a SOLID figure.
>this talk about bootlegsIs it worth buying a bootleg agent for the head?I already have the original and I do want the venom face but since the bootlegs are smaller, im afraid it wont fit.
>>11225138the head should fit fine the smaller scale on the CT toys Agent figures is very minimal and not going to be noticeable on the head. Its also very well painted and for 24 dollars you get a whole extra set of accessories and a spare body that is around 90-95% similar quality to the original.

Speaking of Iron Spider, are the knees of this guy like this? I mean the right joint is slightly "separated" from the lower leg, no matter how hard I push it doesn't enter completely and I don't want it to snap.
>>11225370>pic didn't loadFor fuck's sake.
>>11225370Depth could be different. Did you try turning the joint around so it mirrors the other one? Maybe even take it apart and put it in the other way around.
>>11219452bro luke had a prototype a fucking year ago and still isnt up for preorder, why did they have to do the coomershit first
>>11225404I'll try that
>>11225371It might just be that way or a small qc issue. Ive seen some Captain Americas that have thigh swivels that wont close all the way and have a slight gap. Same wit the knees. It could just be a small QC issue that ultimately wont affect any of the posability. Some Revoltechs are unfortunately just like that.
>>11225194Hmm... it's as if Japan doesn't use the language of which that pun occurs...
>>11225194i didnt ask
>>11225194>>11225541There is no pun you dumb ESLs. July and Juri are not pronounced similarly.
>>11225931I only want to point out how dumb it is to associate month names that Japan don't use to begin with.
Since agent venom and bootlegs were brought up I wanna ask if he is worth the price. I want to grab him officially cause he looks fantastic I just wanna know if it feels great to fuck around with
holy shit neos sucks, why did i waste money on him. this articulation is ass
Does HLJ usually stock things on Fridays?
>>11225404I tried it but it's the same, oh well. I don't mind it cause like >>11225500 says, it doesn't change the articulation nor does it look bad, hell it's barely noticeable. I'm curious if this is a QC issue or if all these Iron Spiders have these knees, I say this cause the Eva I have has the exact characteristic and he's from the very first ones produced.
>>11226896Pic of the Eva if anyone cares, in this case, the left knee joint doesn't fully enter the thigh entrance. I thought it was only this model but upon checking blog reviews it turns out this is common in this Revoltech line. I bought a clear yellow Eva 001 so whenever I get him I shall compare both and see for myself.
>>11226896My black version also has a knee like this, but I only noticed when one leg was bending a little further than the other. I'm too scared of his supposed exploding knees to do anything about it though
>>11226924It took me a while to realize the knees kek.>I'm too scared of his supposed exploding knees to do anything about it thoughI'd suggest you use hairdryer or hot water, it should work in case you you don't want to force it. I got the first version instead of the reissue so I'm not sure how common the QC issue is.The one I have makes these creaking sounds in the knees and upper torso it scares me, but so far nothing has happened. Then again I better not push my luck.
>shipping from china is fucking FASTER than tracked USPS domestic shippingAMAZING. WHAT THE FUCK?! This whole month has been a shitshow for shipping for me.>>11226174Yes. I posted a little about it in a few threads ago and I love it. I bought the anti venom bootleg just because I love the mold. If i like this one enough, i'll buy the bootleg agent just to I can play with it without worrying too much about breakage.
>>11226174You can usually tell a figure is good if bootleggers are making it.
>>11226954Are these CT toys durable? I always had this bias towards Chinese knock-offs thinking that they are brittle, but Anti-agent Venom is a must-have. Is the plastic weaker than the average AY stuff or alright? I also heard there are bootlegs or bootlegs, those being bottom of the barrel when it comes to QC.
>>11226959>>Are these CT toys durable?Ask me when it arrives or the anon who bought the antivenom.I'll post my thoughts on the plastic vs og once it gets here.
>>11226963I shall wait then
>>11227043Not a CT Toys AY owner, but I do have their Symbiote Spider-Man Mafex bootleg. It's pretty solid. Had it over a month now and no issues. Joints are solid, but not too tight. Stand and accessories work well. Only nitpick is the facial hair on the Peter Parker head looks a little wonky but is by no means the worst I've seen. Also since when has email verification been necessary to post?
>>11227688>Symbiote Spider-Man Mafex bootlegI am kind of interested in that. Good to hear it's high quality.>Also since when has email verification been necessary to post?A few weeks ago. It was done to stop the spam situation on some boards, and it worked to some degree. You don't need to verify with email if you are willing to wait 15 minutes for the captcha timer, and it's only if 4chan thinks you haven't posted here before, so if you clean out your cookies and/or history.
I wonder if the AY style knees of that one big built in hinge is becoming the new go-to method for Japanese action figures. There was that Fable figma and now I noticed DAIMA kid Goku figuarts does that knee too. Mostly due to the small size for that figuarts. Do you think we will keep seeing more? Of all the clever engineering of AY that wasn't one I thought people will latch onto. I guess not seeing knee joints plus the simplicity makes it cost effective. I think it takes real sculpting talent to make it not shit though.
>>11227705I hope not. I personally don't like it.
>>11227698I was honestly shocked. I got mine for 24 dollars and expected it be disappointingly mid or outright bad. I've not had a single issue with it posing. Haven't tried the magnetic hands and feet on the figure, but I can confirm the magnets do hold to surfaces on their own. I'm planning on grabbing the AY Agent Venom from them soon and honestly have my eyes in their Wolverine mafex as well.
>>11226185Just opened mine and going to disagree. Torso could be better but I definitely like it overall and it can articulate well for sure.
>>11226959I am the anon who posted the photos of CT Agent Anti Venom in this thread and they feel in hand just like a legit revoltech. They are heavy and solid and the joints and swivels on mine are all perfect. Some do have QC issues with the thigh swivels that i've seen but neither of my CT AY Agents have any of those. Im sure once the other guys who bought Agent get them they agree. There are alot of reviews of these on Youtube now you can also confirm.
Geez no photos on these threads. Been gone 3 days and threads barely moved.
>>11228653because the only good revoltechs are marvel and all the other current releases suck
What everyone's opinion on 1.0 Spiderman and 1.0 Deadpool. I have both but I hate how the 2.0s pretty much mog them in every way and I don't want to rebuild them.
>>11228660*Rebuy them
>>11228653This Pyslocke is probably my least favorite AY Marvel. Her hair gets in the way and feels too fragile and her faceplates attach in a very shitty way that makes them easily fall out. Her eyes are moveable but they are a pain in the ass to get right due to how small they are, I would have preferred just faceplates (that attached better). She still looks good in poses though and can pull off alot of crazy ones once you get around her hair so shes still a good figure.
>>11228660Torso joint can be floppy, middle floating abs piece never sits straight, and back peg hole for stand isnt deep enough so the stand doesn't plug in but also still an amazing release one of my favorite AY figures just the sculpt and aesthetics in poses.
>>11228660I don't have them, but the first Spidey design is tempting for me. The articulation is outdated compared to the stuff today, but those clicking sounds and overall simplicity makes him worth it imo.
>>112287301.0 Spidey i like, but the way it's sculptedrequires certain poses to viewed from a certain angle to look good. It relies on viewing angle to pull off poses that look wonky once you turn it or rotate it. I think the 2.0s and newer AYs are much better at this and look good from all angles when in a dynamic pose.
>>11228653I took this today but I usually post my pics on the photo threads because this thread is only useful for news. Also I really want Psylocke, her design is hot
>>11228653does this count?
batman finally arrived, going to open it up and probably post some impressions in the next 48 hours
>>11229533he actually is a bit shorter than the original batman. the knee range on the new one (also has the new ay style shin articulation) is far better than on the original
>>11229556really easy to completely white out his eyes if you dislike the pupils by just rotating them.
Man I finally got the Sub-Zero Monev the Gale and holy fuck he's a behemoth, the few reviews I saw weren't exaggerating. His package is huge and heavy as well, I'd say far bigger than the average.
>>11229611very poor choice of words
>>11229611I imagine back then besides the costs being less (not that they'd know the future) Kaiyodo have lost their senses on what a reasonable PVC figure weight should be from all the resin? polystone? they've been dealing with for years when they only made garage kits. I'm no expert but I think those materials are heavier than PVC? And maybe it was an inflation spiral of size, durability, and weight. You need thick pegs to support and not break, so increase size but so do weight and you need bigger pegs and so on. The only big size figure I have of theirs is the horse that came with Revoltech Raoh, and that might be the last true big size action figure of theirs. All the other ones were more lengthy and didn't really have that weight. That horse was mostly hollow also.
>>11229806I forgot to add that besides Monev I also got the Revoltech Gwen and the clear Eva, you can see the difference between their boxes. I went and weighted Monev and he's more than 1kg, holy fuck.>Kaiyodo have lost their senses on what a reasonable PVC figure weight should be from all the resin? polystone?Maybe, I still haven't opened any but it looks the weight comes from his accessories, according to an anon who has him the toy itself isn't hollow so I'll confirm that whenever I get the chance to free him from his plastic prison.
He has a decent glow btw, but it doesn't seems to last that long.
Nice to see anons posting pictures again. Regarding hollow figures: I can appreciate some heft and weight, feels like you're "getting something" for your money, but objectively it just makes it a hassle to pose in some poses, especially flying or jumping ones. I don't know any stand that can support Monev.Btw, does anyone have a video of the Batman cape mod? On instagram there's plenty of people who did this but no one showed the whole process. Ideally I'd pop off the shoulder caps without breakage and have them be usable/removable afterwards with the possibility to put the cape back on the way it was.
I'm wondering if the reason for Batman's shins length is the exact same for Spidey 2.0's shins length. To do that crouched pose where the feet are right under the crotch. When the legs on AY are longer and "looks right" the feet ends up being behind the butt when you do this pose..
>>11229578finally anything resembling a "pose". First impressions are honestly mostly very positive. I think his size is only a little comical when put into context of other AYs because some of the males are actually pretty massive if the scale is supposed to be 1:12 or anything close to it. His articulation is honestly very good and at least on par with the original batman (better?). Arms have a ton of range and the knees bend way further than in the original. His weakest spots seem to be the wrists and the boots, but the boots do have a joint on the small flap which slightly helps. Im mostly worried about the cape like everyone else, i wouldnt say it feels fragile or anything but it does make me paranoid to handle it, especially with how its kind of sandwiched between shoulder pads, no clue what the wires are like either so im weirdly paranoid when handling them even though I probably shouldnt be.QC at least on mine was honestly better than on most revoltechs, hands stay on perfectly but also slide out super easily when you want them to and the only joint that was stiff to the point of oddity out of the box was the swivel on the left bicep which I fixed pretty fast, whereas the swivel on the right one is actually very loose (holds poses well but hopefully it wont get looser in the future). Kinda wish he had a third faceplate with just the whited out eyes because twisting the eyeballs just feels wrong somehow even though its pretty easy to accomplish
>>11229806Men it's a shame this Raoh is so expensive because he and the horse look awesome.
>>11229922Man maybe that's why Iron Spider can't really do said pose that well. His knees using the revolver joint makes it hard to squat that way.
>>11230094That looks pretty good IMO
>>11230162Thanks, I struggled for a bit due to the articulation points but these things are posable as heck, the pincers are annoying though.
>>11230094Yeah the longer legs are definitely a hindrance because if you fold his leg all the way his heel goes way past the gooch. IS has lots of free moving joints in the legs so not as bad as the standard AY leg setups.
>>11230322Between the IS (not counting the back pincers) and the 2.0 I wonder which has the best and most range of articulation of any Kaiyodo figure. I don't think any other comes close.
>>11230731I think Iron Spider is hands down better articulated than 2.0. 2.0 has limitations at the neck and torso so it's not really that close of a match, some other AYs are better. Like the Flash for example, that one is the exact same engineering as 2.0 without the odd shortcomings. AY Iron Spider might be the most articulated human male action figure ever.
>>11230888I will have fun once I get the Synthetic Human and compare both. I think AY stuff may not be able to reach certain poses compared to the 1000toys/TEST figures. Here's some example, but that's the Black Phanter model.https://www.instagram.com/shiratamanz/p/CnBlk37p345/?img_index=3
>>11231086That's also comparing with the female, and being thinner usually gives them better range. Male Synth can't do that exact pose. The main problem with the current male AYs are the hinged knees. With the angled swivels of the thighs they limit the variation of poses. But IS has spherical joints for the knees so the added swivels lets you do more poses. Changes aren't always improvements in AY .
>>11231115I didn't know male and female synch had different range of articulation
>>11231115iron spider looks way worse in a neutral pose than spiderman 2.0 though. their engineering improvements constantly go towards maximum articulation with maximum aesthetics that dont "require" any type of illusion or trickery to ignore the flaws in the design. Something like >>11230031 practically looks like a statue while also having AY tier articulation- mind you not spiderman articulation but thats rare even within AY
>>11231215The way they jointed those AYs don't make that much of a difference, it's just sculpting. That jointed long kneecaps on Iron Spider do look awful yes, the other AYs just don't bother having them jointed anymore. They ditched the big round joints for the knees and that may be more favorable to the small group of people who hates seeing joints I guess. But the arms have exposed joints anyways so what's the point? Fact is you lose certain articulations by having one direction hinged knees. Unless the character has baggy pants that makes gappy knees with the Geo joints alone, not using the joints is a downgrade. And sometimes using this leg format is even uglier looking, like Chun-Li's legs. It's less of an improvement and more of a standardization, copy/paste engineering with little concerns about design or aesthetics.
>>11231273im not even talking about the knees. iron spiders biggest and most obvious issues are apparent in his butterfly joints/ shoulder area if you try to actually make him stand in a regular pose. spiderman 2.0 on the other hand looks flawless like that
>>11231277I don't see this big difference you're seeing. Again that's more of an sculpting problem. And Spider-Man has convenient web patterns. Not much to do with what's the better jointing methods which only really differs functionally at the knees when done right. That 2.0 in particular don't have the optimal neck and body range. Spider-Man has bigger gaps at the shoulder joints than Iron-Spider and that gold of the spider legs separates the joint cut really well, you can argue IS looks better in neutral pose from that alone. These things are very small personal preference differences.
>>11231333>gold of the spider legs separates the joint cut really well, that sounds wrong, I mean make the separation look more natural.
>>11231277I think they look fine in a neutral pose desu, the lines still flow pretty smoothly across the gaps and around his torsoOn the flip side it means they look really bad in a lot of poses, because IS doesn't have a convenient webbing pattern that kinda blends together even when it's broken up
>>11229578You can rotate the eyeballs? I didn't knew. Makes me hope juri comes with that feature so I'm not stuck with a bunch of faces looking to the side

>>11231967NtA, but some reviewers will break down revoltech figures into parts view.>>11231966Is it BLeiToys/a79727p on Instagram?
>>11231967It's like a normal review, except they bust a nut on the figure and hotglue it right after
>>11231966>>11231977BLei is the one who did these. Not sure if he still does?
>>11231992Doesn't look like he did it with Shigaraki or Winter Soldier.
>>11231977>>11231992That's the one I was thinking of. Was hoping to see one of these breakdowns for Neos, I'd rather know ahead of time what I'm trying to separate before doing so. The thigh swivels are a bit loose so I'd like to pull them off then tighten them. I'd have to think they're just some kind of peg, but I'm getting no give tugging on it.
>>11231977>>11231986>>11231992Ahhh that guy, I like his posts on Instagram, and his breakdown videos help me more or less guess how the articulation works in a certain figure.
>>11232001I think he might've stopped because you pretty much ruin a figure doing these. Especially the knee joints. Geo Joints are mostly mushroom pegs too so it's not ideal to mess with them. And most AYs are the same now lol.
>>11232051There's no way they'd get ruined just from doing that unless the material was overly tight and shaved some off when you pull them off. And warming them would make it fairly easy for the parts to come off and back on.
>>11232051>>11232076he had no problem ruining the figures to show the joints because back then he bought multiple of the same figures. AY figures are getting so expensive and limited so now he only buys one. He bought like 5 AY All Mights back then.
>>11232092>tfw you remembered AY All Might was considered the most expensive AY and a guy bought 5 of them, now the same guy can only afford one AY Shigaraki/Dabi
>>11232076Slightest deformation of PVC can make the grip on the peg feel drastically different. Heating it to fix it isn't always a simple and easy fix. More importantly there's all the non geo joint parts. That Spider-Man for example taking apart the knees is pretty much a death sentence. The ball joints with hard covers might crack too. 90% of AY have the exact same engineering, the regular Revoltechs are pretty simple and don't need the breakdown. It's a practice that no longer has a purpose. Also Revos are made-to-order now and hard to get without PO so it's too late to make your decision waiting on these so they don't really help anyone unless the Revo gets reissued or you pay rape prices.
>>11232092>He bought like 5 AY All Mights back then.BLei did that too, or are you thinking of Revoltecher? He's the one known for buying multiples for a good while.
Kaiyodo still gives us Rebuild shit on the Revoltech front while showing OG love with their Artpla. Damn it. Also so insane making the whole wing one piece.
>>11232013>The thigh swivels are a bit loose so I'd like to pull them off then tighten them. I'd have to think they're just some kind of peg, but I'm getting no give tugging on it.Decided to give it a tug, and it was extremely stubborn. Easiest way is probably to pop the leg off at the hip first, then to warm the thigh area. That part is a softer material and should flex a bit, then just tug on the inner thigh piece. The joint is a straight peg with a lip, so all it needs is a bit of force.
>>11224764Nah they used the secondary color(gold) as the base plastic color and painted over it with the primary(red). You see the unpainted gold plastic when you look at the interior of joints/sockets.It irks me to the point where I'm probably gonna sell it because I really dislike this overall color of orangey-red.
>>11224764Is this different from the original release?
Ok
>>11237287I mean, thats a symbiote spiderman. I ordered a KO blacksuit last week SPECIFICALLY becuase theres no black suit revo yet.
>>11237287gwen is lame but this design has always been based as fuck
>>11237287Option to have the hood off please. AY Spider-Gwen would have been perfect if it had a hoodless head.
>>11237319Best case scenario is that this one will have an extra head to fix regular Gwen's atrocious unmasked face.
WHERE THE FUCK IS LUKE???? STOP MAKING NEW SHIT ITS BEEN A YEAR RELEASE HIM!!!!
>>11237287A shame she will definitely not be as curvaceous as the normal AY Gwen.>>11237319I would've loved the first version to have interchangeable eyes instead of the peanut face she came with. The hood removed would be an improvement too imo.
>>11237287MUH DICK. I need to sell my ML ASAP.
>>11237287Zero interest. If it was Agent Venom's partner who's name I forgot, then it'd have been a maybe.
>>11237287Mania is inevitable now. MORE female symbiotes NOW !!!
>>11237287sucks for the anon who keeps wanting that other female venom. >>11237435Oh yeah I think it was that one. No, this kills that possibility, too similar characters cancels it out.
>>11237287I wonder how many other Spiderman-themed characters the Amazing Yamaguchi line could keep making. So far we have three Spider-men (one being the Iron Spider suit), Gwen Stacy, Venom Agent Venom and the upcoming one Gwenom. Who do you thing could be next? Another symbiote or one of the enemies?
>>11237694You forgot about carnage
>>11237694There's enough Spiderman character variants that they could do that'd last them centuries without needing to add any further enemies to the roster.>>11237287I picked up her ML figure in that symbiote wave, always hated how limited it was though, really chuffed to see this. I wonder what the exclusive part will be?
>>11237694It's shit but the Onyx Iron Spider could be used to represent the Prowler since he wore it.
>>11237704Damn it, he slipped my mind. I also recall there being another Spiderman, but he wasn't produced by Yamaguchi, oh well.>>11237706Ah yes, he's another variant of the IS but since it's the same mold I counted him among the others.
>>11237694AY doc ock when?
>>11237770This but add Green Goblin and Kraven too
>>11237770>>11237805And black cat
>>11237770>>11237805This, but Lizard. I still regret not getting the awesome ML BaF a few years back.
>>11237287I prefer the tongue to look more like a zipper of a leather outfit that goes down the leg than this wraparound type. It would be easier for an action figure to do too.
>>11238068wow why does the yamaguchi fig have a giant lower jaw when the design doesnt have one at all?
>>11238083Not only that different artists draws differently but the symbiote suits are all organic and constantly changing if that's their interpretation. So there's no point picking on details. From a figure making point of view, I guess having the bottom bigger lets you see the face and inside the hood much easier from the top down view. If the top hood is bigger it blocks a lot of the face and that open mouth look of the hood. Comic panels you have more of bottom up viewpoints to make the characters look big and pop.
>>11237287Remember we got this figure only for the movie :^)
>>11237287>Preorder exclusive: Unmasked head, finally not-shit Search your feelings, you know it’s true
>>11238315I would be glad since I personally don't care for unmasked faces, it wouldn't hurt me to miss that exclusive.
why is this thread auto-saging
>>11238354More than 2 weeks old.
>>11237287This is a pretty wacky selection to say the least but I hope they do more weird symbiotes.
>>11237357Her boobs already seem smaller. >>11237287Is this the first Marvel girl we got since Psylocke?? damn it's been long. And it's funny nobody else seemed profitable.
>>11237287Damn I really need to see this figure in more poses because it looks like they just took a figure from 2017 and only updated the look, not the articulation. I think AY Spider-Gwen is good overall, but getting the AY Catwoman recently really made Spider-Gwen feel more limited.
>>11239434I wouldn't be too worried about that aspect. The shoulders already looks like they're whatever the recent unreleased female AYs are doing. And body articulation is better simply because Gwen still had a revo joint in the chest. My concern is with the legs. If it will be the blindly following Yamaguchi's current jointing scheme and be a hinged knee with hinged bootcut. Brcause her leg design is just no details and skin-tight all those joint cuts will look like shit. I prefer they just do the same knee joints all female AYs except Gwen and Supergirl has been using.
>>11237287I have to know pre-orders starting date.
>>11239434>>11239445Based on some reviews, AY Gwen doesn't have a great ab crunch, at least not compared to the first Spiderman, even less than the 2.0. so she can't really make the squatting pose. Besides those though I think she's got the standard articulation, at least from back then.Again, I don't have her so I really can't tell.
Random thoughts but I wonder if the next Batman we see might not be Thomas Wayne Batman. Could almost see a tactical Bane getting made.
>>11239618Spider-gwen supposes to make more ballerina poses rather than Peter ultra slav squads.
>>11239618>doesn't have a great ab crunchLike I mentioned, that's due to the small, 6mm revo/geo joint in the chest. She doesn't have that dual ball joints like many later AYs. Only the hips. And it's silly to compare with such an early AY, They're not copy/pasting the models only because there is Gwen in the name. She was pre-digitization too. So this Gwenom is made from scratch. Her shoulders looks more like Chun-Li's with some sort of covering over the joints and a deeper cut into the shoulders to act like a butterfly joint. More similar to SHF or McFarlane figures. I hope the legs won't look like hers with the ugly shin cuts, but they might because all recently announced female AYs have except the Juri with her unique pants. Problem for now is we're not getting any of these new AYs in hand for a while so we can only guess the range. Legs we could assume would be similar to Spider-Man 2.0 who's slimmer maybe as the female AYs if the jointing is the same.
>>11239732If they want to do a Batman mixed with the paramilitary look that they love to do (Deadpool, Cable, Deathstroke, Agent Venom) I think they will pick Grim Knight version. But I think we will get Batgirl next.
>>11239751prove it>>11239821>But I think we will get Batgirl next.great!
>>11239886never her
>>11226174Hey fagnon, it came in, so if i had to say that the og revo is a 100, the ko is an 85. Im buying another ko agent because the head fits. Thanks again to the anon who told me about antivenom.
>>11239886>prove itI’m out of town. I can make pics of posing her in ballerina poses when I’ll be back.
>>11239894>>11227043Quoted the wrong(?) person. Also wait till the 22nd to buy it, there's a black friday discount soon.
>>11239894Do you have the original? What makes it 15 points better?
>>11239894The right is the original. I slapped the white head on it to try testing the neckjoints size. The original's finish felt better and the joints are tighter. Plus it is slightly heftier due to it being a bit bigger. Also >>11239942 wait 1.5 days to buy it since ali is having a sitewide coupon.
>>11239894>>11239956Sigh, now I'm really tempted to get the goddamn Anti Agent one, especially since Kaiyodo will likely never release one ever.
>>11239986For 25 it is great value.Hell, im sad to admit that I wouldnt have gotten the agent venom if i knew the KO were this great a quality.
>>11240018I bought it recently and I'm the opposite. He makes me want the original more. It also helps that Anti Venoms thigh pops off pretty easy when posing the legs.
>>11241172>t also helps that Anti Venoms thigh pops off pretty easy when posing the legs.Actually yes you are correct, that is a common issue. I got lucky on my copy than because the thighs are so tight that you hear the squeaking whenever you move the hips/thighs.
>spent 18 dollars buying the KO just to get the fucking headI am a peak retard
DC>Harley Quinn (twice)>Wonder Woman>Catwoman>SupergirlPretty straightforward, covering the basics.Marvel>Spider-Gwen>Psylocke>GwenomInsane lineup lol. Understandable I suppose, like the X-Men girls are better off waiting for MCU movies so there's a lot missing there. Black Widow is boring. Scarlet Witch is probably the biggest name for now. She-Hulk would probably sell the most at this point, would stand out if done right. Or X-23, female version of Wolverine is easy sell. Lady Deadpool too. Yeah one of those two is happening for sure.
>>11237287>>11241589I wonder how much Gwenom is going to cost, something that will depend on how many accessories it comes with, as well as the exclusive part.
>>11241668Probably kept under 10k and not coming with crazy amount of accessories. Exclusive part doesn't affect pricing, Gwenom would have a lower painting costs, no idea what level of mass production she will get but Marvel in general has better distribution. And I don't think they're confident to load her up with crap and up the price.
>>11241892I'm saying not confident not only because she's a niche character even though Spider-Gwen + Venom isn't a hard egg to crack. but because the sculptor isn't Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi tends to get the top seller projects. Is this the first Marvel AY not done by him? That was like the last sacred IP kek. OPM is the new sacred line for now.
>>11237287Bonus face will look something like this with the black goo edges 100%. Regular will not have any unmasked faces.
>>11241553If it's the CT Toys one, you can put the figure minus the head on the BST and I'd buy it
Why does Revoltech exaggerate the fuck out of the bodies but not the head. They literally look so complete with more stylized head sculpts
>>11242462Some would say they do stylize the faces just as or more so than the bodies. How you see the faces especially is subjective plus the source already has a wide variety of styles and AY don't copy a certain comic art. Are the bodies even that exaggerated? Compared to comic books? Look at Catwoman, who has a specific face style from a game but the AY is nothing like that. What you're saying is why don't these AY look like certain art styles I want.
>>11242462ewww...
>>11243087If you unironically think left looks better consider ending your life NOW
>>11243143They both look shit because AY nearly always look shit in a vanilla A-stance.
>>11243166It's really only the very first AY, Spider-Man. That was more about earlier Revoltech series and Vulcanlog done by Yamaguchi. From Revolmini when revolver joints were ditched they looked fine standing.
