>>11220461There's a reason for everything.
I will never see Clawful as a motu construx fig :(
This was my Halo fig collection 11 years ago.
I can't find it in myself to care about the Skyrim build. It will probably be close to (at least) $80 leafbucks and it's for two figures. Sure one is pretty big but those wings are gonna rot. If they had made an actual line based on the game I might be more interested. All MEGA is producing is crap for people's desks.
>>11220490These arctic sets were really nice. >>11223755Have you downsized or expanded over the years?>>11223935We know what the Skyrim build is? >>11223937He's surrounded. No way out this situation :(
>>11223944Still bugs me they made three different UNSC pilot figs in arctic camo but not a single arctic aircraft for them.>downsized or expandedIt's only ever gone up, this one from 8 years ago is the last time I put in the effort for it.
should we just begin compiling examples of decent alternatives to mega at this point? so far blokees has done a decent job of filling that niche for me
>>11224215Aren't Blokees too big to replace mega? Like 4" instead of 2".Anyway my interest in Mega is limited to Covenant aliens to fight my Diaclone powersuits, so the line already died for me years ago and there's still no good replacement.
>>11223925
>>11224663they are but they do strike a similar chord for me in anycase. >Anyway my interest in Mega is limited to Covenant aliens to fight my Diaclone powersuitsbased
>>11224861>>11223925kino
Well looks like Scalpers have the Fallout Red Rocket set. $54 Leafbucks for the Vaoult Dweller $48 for the Armor. $331 for the set I blame MEGA for the high prices due to low supply volume along with an overpriced set.
>>11225171 I actually honestly thought this would be the Fallout build we got from MEGA
>>11223944>>We know what the Skyrim build is?Yes
>>11225360 The dragon looks cost-cuttingly familiar.
>>11225360>>11225424Looks inferior to Drogon and zombie Viserion really, I have both and they're great.
>>11225446 I can't tell what the wing is.. rubber ready to rot or shitty plastic whose glossy part will flake.
>>11225360 Not buying this or Fallout. I just want figures and already the Fallout set's scalped single figures cost more than I would pay for the whole set. At least with the Beyonders or the long-ship you had many figures so it was worth it - on clearance.
Haven't messed with mega stuff before but had seen the fallout leak and was looking into getting it for a christmas gift. Is there no hope of getting it unscalped now?
>>11226027 Good luck finding it on Amazon.
>>11225853The GoT dragons (the large ones) have fabric wings.
>>11225360Really want to buy this because I am desperate for old-school Mega Bloks Dragons but it just aint doing it for me. Should have come with the watch tower he perches on.
>>11226027snipe amazon and target until u get it
>>11225360>already sold out everywhereNah. Fuck this retarded company.
>>11225360Alduin is supposed to be black with red eyes. Other than that it looks good.>>11225171>>11226027>>11226653This normally happens and then a few months later it will be abundantly available, like that one anniversary figure pack.
>>11227179 Ya. But leafs are fucked with the shit distro.
>>11226653DOTAblox whenI need klocki doom
>>11227241>Dragon Knight, Viper, Winter Wyvern and Phoenix in the style of old Mega Bloks DragonsTAKE MY FUCKING MONEY
>>11227244>armybuilding kits with a pile of Radiant or Dire creeps and the respective Tower buildFaggot valvoids, fucking DO IT
>>11227179ok thanks for the heads upit's always annoying looking from toy brand to toy brand not knowing how restocking/rereleasing goes for that particular brand
>>11224861
Honestly not a bad price for a sold out product. - but if anyone find some cheap Vault Dwellers - THAT is when I'm interested.
>>11229371
https://creations.mattel.com/products/mega-gi-joe-skystriker-vs-cobra-hiss-building-set-hyl43 GI Joe set is creations exclusive… doesn’t bode well for more releases.
>>11230957 I expected something like this but I expected 2 sets. - possibly for more. Of course there isn't going tot be other sets What did you expect? I mean I seriously doubt after everyone has their desktop toys Fallout will also be abandoned. Matty treats MEGA like shit. and in return MEGA "passes that to the consumer."
>>11230962I expected this would at least make it to retail. This line is so dead anymore.
its hard to be hyped when you know MEGA's efforts arent going anywhere and the well was already poisoned by that last series of GI JOE building sets anyways.
>>11231172they both look undersized... the hiss especially...
>>11231172Boomercore dust collector, look at the cannons of that tank lmao
>>11231172That one no-name brand did set the bar pretty low for Joes legos, still I agree Mega could've done better with the HISS.
>>11230501
>>11231678it also means MEGA is never going to touch turtles or power rangers again which bums me out
>>11231867at least your bum is cute
More creative lab stuff from mattel. Cash grab for this limited release or will this mean more products planned w mega / gijoe?
>>11232377
>>11232380
>>11232382they got other exclusive sets but could they not release figures without playset extras? close to 100 bucks for 4 figures
>>11232377i guess it all depends squarely on how this set sells. id really like to see more from this theme. it takes me back to the golden days of mega collecting. i remember how optimistic and fun this general was then.
>>11232460>it takes me back to the golden days of mega collecting. i remember how optimistic and fun this general was then.....yeah....sigh....they had a great thing going with the cod line (for a while) IF there is traction here I hope to continue with some of my mega fig collection....watch this space
>>11232377 Joe hounds will eat it up like the rest of the slop. Mega fans will be critical and still by it. Mega won't release more.
>>11233122You sound like a woman.
>>11232377$81 + tax and shipping. Totally killed any curiousity i had, i know people really enjoyed the motu sets but i just couldnt afford to collect everything motu at the time. So i guess ill just wait for a smaller set if they make one.
>>11233122i thought that would be the case for turtles and MOTU but it didnt pan out for either. I'd be surprised if that changed with Gi Joe. >>11232635COD, HALO, MCX Heroes, Destiny, TMNT, Terminator, Ass Creed. We were spoiled rotten. I'd give anything to go back to those better times.
>>11233781>COD, HALO, MCX Heroes, Destiny, TMNT, Terminator, Ass Creed. We were spoiled rotten. I'd give anything to go back to those better times.absolutely, glad I got the Arnie Predator mini figs when I did. Shame they didn't do the whole team or do a franchise with Aliens; imagine the figs!>>11233781>i thought that would be the case for turtles and MOTU but it didnt pan out for either. I'd be surprised if that changed with Gi Joe.Indeed, I just think they missed an opportunity here. not everyone wants or has $ to buy the sets so why not release figure packs of 3 or more figures for like 40-50 bucks?
>>11233502>$81 + tax and shipping.that's what I'm saying, ok if you want all the stuff but again i think more fans would be more willing to drop coin just on the figures
>>11233126 Enjoy your 4 figures.
The events of this little story took place 10 years prior, making this officially a nostalgia thread.
>>11234420Though the OP pic (one of mine!) was a clear indicator already.

>>11234420>>11234422>>11234423>>11234425>>11234426Kino. Nice detail with the sole surviving PoW.
>>11231172>>11232377>>11232380>>11232382Kinda disappointed. Might as well buy the Cobi F-14 and grab the figures for $10 on ebay.
>>11234545>grab the figures for $10 on ebay.thinking the same but just for the figs. imo they will go more than 10 bucks a pop, ideally not of course ;D but given the evilbay pricing these days on anything "new"
>>11234545>>11235249You guys are kidding about $10, right? They'll be a lot more than that. People will want to army build the trooper, so that's a wash, and the Duke and CC in particular will be pricey for sure. If anyone is buying this set they also want the figures.
>>11235263 The lots of "fallen off the truck" power armor probably work out to around that. I just want 3 or 4 Vault dwellers. the Nazis have a German Shepard so I don't need Dogmeat) which uses the same mold.
>>11235263 These is where people will tell you there will be more sets - if this one does well enough. (ignoring what the price for these shoddy tanks etc are) but even in the unlikely event this happens (it won't) . They will be "new" figures. They"phased out" singles except for HALO and Pokemon so they are still grinding those out.
>>11234505Should get back into doing simple little stories once in a while, feels like most of the time I'm either doing a single scene or an overly elaborate setup with many moving parts.
>>11236121Part of the problem is I don't have nearly as much free time as I did back then, plus I'm juggling that with a revived interest in my army men collection which has developed into a full-blown world-building series. This little story didn't get a proper ending, was interrupted by some people wanting to use the rinks on an otherwise slow and quiet evening.
>>11232377Mega should die at this pointIts mercy
>>11236121>>11236126Yeah, I can relate.
>>11238198 I would rather Matty sold them, lock stock and barrel to HASBRO
If you were or still are a mega collector, what would you like to see happen for either existing IP, new OG content
>>11240446I want them to end Halo because it died when Bungie moved on. They need to bring back a modern warfare line, either generic/original theme or maybe with the Battlefield license. Revivals of Pyrates and Dragons would be cool, or a new theme in those settings. They were able to carve out a respectable niche over the last decade by offering stuff their direct competitor Lego didn't have, until recently at better prices too. They've become too much of a catch-up company after riding the Halo/CoD/Poke train for so many years, able to weather setbacks such as the WoW flop, AssCreed underwhelming and Destiny not panning out when the games didn't get nearly as big as Halo or CoD. GoT was an especially ill-timed gamble, coming in the decline of their flagship franchises and at the tail end of that series.Expensive one-offs à la Haslab model just suck; if they want to draw in a larger crowd they need a line with impulse buy-priced sets as well as the big spendy ones, hell that's how I tested the waters with every Mega line starting with Halo Wars. It wasn't even that great a set - clutch was bad and it was a weird turret that wasn't actually in any Halo game (maybe something like it was somewhere in Halo Wars). However, it came with three Spartan minifigs and they were freaking awesome, more than enough to hook me in. They kept my interest in the line as they worked out the many bugs through the initial waves, introducing more armor variants and other figs for them to battle with or alongside. The pitiful weapons selection in the first wave even worked to their advantage, I remember getting excited when they released a set with a new sniper rifle, a small and cheap set too.I imagine there's factors above and beyond what we the consumers perceive that guide their current questionable decision-making; doesn't make it any less tragic how far they've fallen in just the last few years.
>>11240446 Vikings. Mini Sets. Like Blacksmith and Fisherman's hut. Blacksmith gets a horse. Fisherman gets a water troll. (smaller) or two. put 3 or 4 sets together get a longhouse. Maybe a Beowulf set that's a 3 "hut units" a couple of dudes. a shieldmaden, a dog and a troll for $69.95 D&D ("FANTASY ADVENTURE IN THE KINGDOM OF WHATEVER") sets that have single figures (blinjdbags)? of generic fantasy types - or "Adventure Guild" sets of 4 or 5. Plus custom packs.hero outfit figures. "Bad Guy" builders of 4 or 5 Skeletal warriors, Evil Knights. People use Lego minis for D&D. you get the blind gag guys. God forbid teaming up and preparing before a movie or t.v. series is 2 years old. Also. Do an entire Joe line and don't fuck people on the prices.
>>11241478>I want them to end Halo because it died when Bungie moved on.Thank you, way oversaturated with this line imo.>Revivals of Pyrates and Dragons would be cool, or a new theme in those settings.Up for thatThanks for your input

Def on Joe line, get like mega packs of figures, not just 3 with a box and some guns, do like a 8 figure set or as you mentioned in the above, small mini diorama sets with a few figures, think along the lines of a Mighty Maxx concept.Good stuff there.
>>11241572 I would be there. I really have no interest in builds and all the interest in the figures. I feel like MEGA's builds are "something nice to display at the office" or on shelves far away from play.
Damn, this set fuckin rules.
