So... what are the chances of BS Shaak Ti having her expossed Force Unleashed backside under those robes?this was an official statue.
>>11221770As soon as we get tube top Ahsoka and Slave Ahsoka and slave Leia.
>>11221833And Oola.
>>11221637Sebulba is getting the jar treatment. Had a crush on him since seeing the movie...unf.

>>11221855I unironically like Sebulba as a character
>>11221878
>>11221704I don't know if LFS is properly reflecting what the overall community wants. Tonnikas winning last year was also kind of retarded. I think there is a large bias because the poll is primarily promoted on Banthaskull and it's primarily their audience of boomers participating. I expect some OT deep cut will win every year because that's what they like.
>>11221974It's pretty much the exact same audience that participates in March Madness
Hasbro literally said if we wanted Arleil then we have to make it loud and show them by doing things like these fan polls. It's really not surprising that he would be the winner. You can't show him off and then expect everyone to just forget about him

>>11221833>Slave Ahsoka and slave Leia. You can't call them that anymore. It's Boba Fett's Starship Ahsoka and Boba Fett's Starship Leia!
I know the Vintage Collection X-Wing is getting a re-release soon, and it is a great toy (I have a previous release), but man, I wish Hasbro would put the old POTF2 X-Wing back out, that is so much more fun.
does anyone know why we in europe get a different release date for the shaak ti BS than americans
>>11222895Because this is for TVC, not Black Series
Or I could get it at Ollie's for $9.99....
>>11222885Your dad's bussy was trash so I'll fuck you too
>>1122320820 bucks, but your point still stands. Even cheaper if you use their 10, 15 and 20% coupons they have right now.
>>11222924why would you want that? they'd sell it for more than it costs to just go get the actual potf2 xwing sealed off ebay
Well, well, well...
>>11223285And sold
>>11222459Hopefully Anakin and Obi-Wan for ROTS 20th but it'll probably be bad batch because fuck me.On the topic of future figure speculation, Yakface updated the Black Series master list with AOTC Jedi, ROTS clone, and Fallen Order/Survivor. I'm going to guess Barriss or Coleman Trebor. The Clone could be anything, maybe Neyo if they are trying to finish the commanders. And hopefully Merrin instead of another lame trooper repaint.
>>11221770lol that Shaak Ti is around 1600$.
>>11223285Grabbed the two I saw at my local store. Going to hold on to it until price go back up in a few years and unload them. Hoping to find Star Killer since he's also popped up a few time.
>>11223320>l price go back up in a few yearsBruh
I would like a 6'' figure of pic related please, I would like to see thinks reflected on the surface.
>>11223394it would be unpainted swirly grey plastic
>>11223461NO!
>>11223352Too many reseller flooding the market right now. Rex alone will be $40 in a year or so.
>>11223661Not trying to be that guy, but no one wants that weird version of Rex and unless you are a hardcore clone collector, no one wants anyone in that pack. I'd might buy it if I saw it in person but even on Amazon, it can sell for pretty cheap.
If anyone is interested, the Disney Shop is offering 25% off and free shipping, to any order you place over 100 dollars American. The restocked TVC E-Wing will be 75 dollars if you add anything really cheap to your cart on the Disney Store. It's currently back ordered for a few weeks (I think the original release date?), but it's still a really good deal if you want the EU vehicle.
>>11223840Hey now let's be fair, the elite squad trooper is cool, but I wouldn't bet on it as some kind of investment when either hasbro or aliexpress is almost definitely gonna remake it on the new body. Rex might have some value for people wanting to take the poncho off him to put on the latest Rex, but not likely $40 of value.
Just got the heads up email from Pulse for the Imperial Cruiser Hallway set is about to ship
>>11224534It got delivered to me from amazon today, alongside the jetpack troopers; was not expecting to spend this much money now instead of in December, but I'll live. The hallway's mostly pretty great, it looks good but the modularity is a bit less than perfect. I'm lampshading it extra hard in the picture, the doors are built to be put next to each other on corners, there's a big slot in the doorframe piece so the other door can open through it, but you can't have both doors open at once, because one door opening occupies the space the other door needs to open. Not really a fixable problem, but it would help if the door was at least removable from the frame, which as far as I can tell it isn't. Other than that, I wish each set came with at least one more column piece than it does, it ends up limiting what you can do with multiples. If you did the 'normal' thing and just got one or two though, it's completely fine. The reflectiveness of the floor is also a bit excessive, I appreciate the effort for accuracy but you basically can't touch it without putting fingerprints/smudges on it that are a pain to fully clear off. Still, nitpicks aside it's cool, there's ways it could be better but I'm glad we got it and I might be tempted to get a couple more later, partly to have more hallway but also to have more of the packed-in mando, which I like a lot although the knees really don't bend as far as they should. The jetpack troopers are super perfect though, love these guys, nothing bad to say here. I'm sure people will be unhappy about the hips not changing, but I do not personally care at all when these achieve the same range of motion, they just take a bit more time to pose. New tooling budget would be better put basically anywhere else, in my opinion, but obviously a lot of other people disagree so it'll probably happen at some point.
>>11224677Interesting and good to know .I only got one for now since the preorders were stacking up fast. I know I will definitely get at least one more after the holidays. Maybe two or three if they wind up on a good sale. I just hope this does well enough that they'll do something more classic/ Death Star styled since Space Walls aren't around anymore.
>>11224677Quick correction, I messed up a bit with my first impression, you actually can get both doors mostly open, you just have to not click the long-wall door all the way open. It's not 100% open but it's easily good enough, that's my bad for not figuring that out quicker. Also I think the long-wall door is supposed to go this way so the top pegs aren't visible, although this side doesn't look quite as finished so it's gonna be up to preference which way is correct - unless there's a definite answer to be found in the show, but I'm not gonna go check right now.>>11224817I think the 2nd one is absolutely worth it, but maybe not immediately though since yeah, I can't reasonably get any more right now either between this set, the jetpack troopers, the E-Wing, and the forge set all charging and shipping within a few days. While an OT-style imperial hallway would be nice, the darker color of this hallway is doing a lot of work to hide imperfections and connector pieces, if this was in proper imperial light gray it would look significantly worse.
>>11223277Partly because the original is bordering on 30 years old and even sealed the plastic is starting to degrade. But also if I'm wishing for things, there is always the hope that Hasbro will stop their customer gouging bullshit.
>>11224888What R4 droid is that? It's cute.
>>11221878Cartoon Ahsoka has black physiognomy. Ahsoka the show looks lame so I never watched it but Dawson is a sexy hag, casting wasn’t the issue, Star Wars getting horrifically bland is. I want the best of both worlds with milfsoka wearing next to nothing. Also nonces go to hell.
>>11224927>Dawson is a sexy hagNo, she really isn't and I am sick of seeing landfill bait with her face.>Britbong bitching about muh nonces because of an imaginary 17.99 years oldfucking lollmao evenDon't think we forgot about those rape gangs.
>>11224677>>11224888It looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to get mine. How many is that? 4?
>>11224904One of the ones that was exclusive to building at disney parks, these are arguably the best 3.75" figures for both astromech and protocol droids but finding them for reasonable prices is a bit of a waking nightmare.>>11225089Yeah this is 4, with some parts left over of course. Realistically I don't need more than this for any one picture/setup I could think to do, probably, but I'm still kinda tempted to grab some more later anyway. I could still level a few more criticisms at it, but ultimately it looks nice and serves its purpose so I'm pretty happy overall.
>all these preorders shipping and now aliexpress updates the bootleg 3.75" clone listing with ARF troopers and 91st reconFuck. Glad these guys seem to be made to demand so I can wait on them, at least.
>>112252384 seems like the right amount. That's what I'd like to end up with. Fills out a scene nicely and isn't a pain in the ass to store. I can't wait to do some photos with it.
>>11225238Dope set up anon and those black protocol droids look cool. I always only get one playset because of space and money but I think most of them need at least two to get the most out of them. This and Mos Eisley street are the first ones I am considering getting two of. >>11225262Those helmets look good. Did they update the Phase 2 to the 4 pack version? But wtf is Hasbro doing? How hard is it to slot one clone repaint in every other wave? I don't want to have to buy smelly KOs with bent rifles and the wrong hands.
>>11225262For a sec I thought these were Australia Post troopers
>>11225452If the clone troopers had speeders as silent as a postie's little electric cart, the Republic would've had a decisive victory within a year.
>>11225283In fairness this breaks down pretty well and will be easy to store even if you got more than 4, but yeah I'm struggling to come up with how to fit more than 4 into a single scene. Hope you enjoy yours when you get them, at first I wasn't super thrilled these shipped so early but at this point I'm glad they did.>>11225317In this case two takes up almost literally the exact same space as one, and having both walls is a huge difference. Obviously that doesn't materialize a spare $60 for the 2nd one, but if you can afford it I super recommend it, this setup is with just two and you really couldn't do this at all with one.
What is the point of character design like this? This is just some kid you see IRL with earth clothes
>>11225793Yeah, the Skeleton Crew character designs are complete shit. The costumes don't look like Star Wars and neither do the hairstyles. They don't seem to have any idea what SW characters are supposed to look like. Don't even get me started on the fucking elephant, either. Either way, makes for some bad toys.
>>11225834Please understand they needed to use those hair styles otherwise black preteen girls won’t buy their products. They needed those 2020 haircuts for the Puerto Rican sisters in TCW season 7 and even since then the franchise has has really grown with the Latina market.
Let’s hope these go better and give us much better toys
>>11225793Sovless designs is one thing but why did they even bother making toys for them? Like it's literally an entire wave of pegwarmers. These will not sell and might cause brick and mortar to once again cut back on ordering Star Wars figures. Why are these mainline while cool clone troopers and Jedi are fan channel exclusives?
>>11225834I'm only interested in Skeleton Crew for the pirates. I hope Hasbro makes them in TVC to go with Jude Law and don't bother to waste tooling budget on the stupid kids.
>>11225834The blue one is kinda hot
>>11225858>Simon Kinberg
>>11225858
>>11225858Lol, how many of these things have they announced then quietly cancelled. Remember when Rian Johnson was supposed to have his own trilogy?
>>11225858The only way this is real if it is like how Mandalorian and Grogu started as a mandate by Bob Iger. This might be Disney telling KK her Rey movie directed by a literal who is off the table.
>>11225858wow
>>11226045Oh...Disney sure knows how to pick them...
>>11226045So the guy who had two chances to do the Dark Phoenix saga and fucked up both times? This is the guy Disney is gonna give a Star Wars trilogy to? The only thing to look forward in this is to see if it'll be a bigger train wreck than TROS.
>>11225999I have lost count it's probably like over 20 cancelled projects now. Insane to continue to announce things without ever actually making anything. I thought at one point Iger even told her to stop announcing shit.>>11226046Lol funny pic
>>11225999 And Kathleen is still around.
>>11226246Hoping Disney finally wakes up after the Harris disaster and realize woke shit aint worth fighting for. I want sexy Jedi's back and Slave Leia you fucks.
>>11226379I think they are pretty wake for a long time now, whatever is happening behind the scenes is a mix of incompetence and Pedowood politics. Look at The Acolyte, there is no way they wasted 230 million on that shit and thought "Yeah, this is good".
>>11226379I wonder if this rumored trilogy is actually a Thrawn trilogy by Dave Filloni. They probably scraped all of KK’s shit in light of the election and decided they will just do the Iger-demanded Mando and Grogu movie and then have Filloni and Fav do a Thrawn trilogy. Anything KK touched will likely be scrapped with the rest of the progressive left agenda.
>>11226719>Thrawn trilogy by Dave FilloniSounds fucking awful
>>11226740Oh yeah definitely. I’m not saying this is great news, just what makes sense right now
>>11226744That doesn't make sense, that just makes everything worse
>>11226748They get to scrap KK’s doomed Rey movie and make a pre-ST trilogy with CGI Luke, Han and Leia. And they get some cheap, cookie cutter slop nepotism jew to slap it together for a quick franchise refresher.
>>11226379With Trump winning is more than enough statement that woke and liberal shit belong to the garbage bin. Now where is my slut Leia
>>11226912>>11226379They’re gonna try to nerf Slave Leia if she gets a modern toy still, no cleavage allowed wether by brick or fig anymore (because they hate money)
seems VeilToys made a Captain Rex BS look alike, even with the skirt thing, anyone has bought it yet?
>>11226912>>11226930Why do you wish to groom child by exposing them to naked women in toy aisles across the country?
>>11227015boobs good penis bad
>>11225858Meh. I'll believe it when there's a trailer out and tickets available. Lucasfilm is just a vaporware production company at this point.
>>11227015>exposing them to naked womenSlave Leia wears more clothing than your average Bikini Barbie.
I'm looking at grabbing a Slave 1, and I've narrowed it down to two choices, POTF2, because it will take up less shelf space, and the handle on the back will make it more fun to swoosh around when I play with it, and the current Book of Boba Fett Vintage Collection version, because it has better paint apps than the previous Empire version, and is easier to get right now.Can anyone way in on the pros and cons of each?
>>11227272>it has better paint apps than the previous Empire versionNo it doesn't. Just get the previous ESB Slave I.
>>11227343Sorry I was misremembering a comparison I saw between the 2013 and the 2020 versions. As for the 2020 and Book version, the main difference is the Book version is slightly more brown. The main thing is availability, there aren't any stores that are carrying the Empire version near me, but there's a couple that are carrying the Book version, and one even has it on sale right now.So again, it's less the specific version of the VTG release that I'm look for, more a comparison of the VTG vs the POTF2 release.
>>11227272bruh...
>>11227015You rape kids Chungus
>>11227731I've never advocated for children to be exposed to inappropriate materials in the way many in this thread have. Sounds like you guys are the groomers here?

>>11227015Kids dont buy toys retard they cant even walk straight because they are on the tablet.
>>11226930Why do you preach here if just by been in here you are burning in hell for an eternity
>>11228939Black Series is in the Disney section at target. I regularly see mothers carting their kids around that area. I'm just trying to understand why the "based" anti woke crowd is so insistant on exposing children to a woman in sexual suggestive clothing? It's very groomer like behavior.
>>11226912>>11226761How naive of you to think things will change while KK and her DEI minions still run Lucasfilm. If anything I can see them doubling down on the woke shit to own the chuds or something. I fully expect them the force through the Rey movie and rewrite it to make it about how the galaxy needs to accept that the New Jedi Order is led by a strong independent woman.
>>11229117shut the fuck up you complete faggot
>>11229220Okay groomer
>>11229008ESL
Are they doing any Christmas black series figures this year?
>>11221770This was before the dark times. Before the Disney empire.
>>11229239If they are they'll probably be announced these coming weeks since they're doing a whole Gift the Galaxy campaign. Also YakFace posted this image of an unannounced two pack alongside a Ranger Trooper with a rocket launcher branded for Andor.
>>11229347
>>11229348This figure sucks, you can't get his leg to move forward for shit due to those straps he has on there.
>>11229348There is no way the Range Trooper is able to hold that video game rocket launcher. The Stormtrooper can barely hold it.
>>11227272POTF2 Slave 1 if you want a fun toyBook of Boba Slave 1 if you want a great display piece
>>11229348What is the point of that?
>>11229348wasn't this one of the first Black Series to hit clearance hard even before Ollie's exsisted? I'm pretty sure I got one for six dollars on amazon and it still wasn't worth it.
>>11229647That's how I got it personally. I think it was marked down to 8 dollars at Target. I honestly like the figure, but it is an odd choice to put back in the line. I assume it is easy money for Hasbro, since it's 95% reuse. I think only the boots are different. I wonder how big of a role these guys will have in Andor. I also wonder when these figures are coming out. Isn't Andor releasing in late 2025?
>>11229783I would guess it's going to be out soon since the season 2 figure of Cassian is already shipping.
>>11229783>I think only the boots are differentWhich is a pretty huge improvement, the boots on the previous one look nice but had basically 0 articulation you could actually use from what I remember.
>>11230019They should hav made them actually magnetic to make up for the articulation
Man, Luke’s face is rough
>>11230387Willing to bet it's just the printing / paint apps. The better they get at modeling the more apparent it is how cheap they go on paint.
>>11230387Luke's face's have been getting worse with each new release. They're looking more like Kevin Bacon now. I really hope the neck ball is compatible with an earlier release so I can just swap the heads out.
>>11230387>>11230698Like seriously, just use the Yavin ceremony head or the original farmboy head with a new faceprint, they nailed those on the first try.
First Gift the Galaxy reveals. Both are Amazon exclusives and go up for preorder tomorrow.
>>11230794
>>11230794God I hate the black series republic commandos so fucking much, fucking hasbro the lazy fucks
>>11230794>>11230796>two-packThe Hasjew cries while he charges you a ton of money for a fucking plastic arm.
>>11230405Normally I agree it's the paint that's bad and the sculpting is good but I think this derpy expression with the wide eyes and open mouth would've still looked bad with more paint. The hair is also pretty bad, better hair sculpt and color might have improved things.>>11230794Hasbro KNOWS we hate the shitty Hunter commandos. But they are still making them. With the huge budget increase black series got, I don't know why they won't just use one slot to make an all new commando and make everyone happy.Being said I might have still considered this if it was just the commando because I really like that paint scheme in Battlefront and have wanted it forever. But I don't care about the droid so I'll pass.>>11230796This is lame too. The force ghost arm is gay and I don't like the gold commando droid. They should've went for one of the other variants that has a flatter gray paint scheme so it better matches the 3 pack droids.
>>11230387This is fucking awful.>>11230698It's hard to not even consider that Disney hate Luke when you see that face. Look at Solo and Leia, their sculpts are always spot on, that "oh Hammil's face don't work well in plastic" is bullshit to me, they got 3D face print now, there is no excuse for Luke to look like picrel again.>>11230704I got that one, is the best ANH Luke they ever made so far.
>>11230868>They should've went for one of the other variants that has a flatter gray paint scheme so it better matches the 3 pack droids. They're probably going to do that eventually anyway. It makes sense to do this one with Dagen because they were the ones present on the Observatory when that boss fight happens. The problem is it's just way too clean. The ones in the game actually have a lot of grime on them that dulls down the gold a lot. This looks like it's brand new, straight from the factory (which in a way, it is).
>>11230796Holy shit, is Hasbro really taking the arms off of figures now to sell you the complete version later. I thought it was getting bad with shit like Shin Hati being resold with a cloak mere months later, but sawing the arm off of a figure for the first release is a hilarious new low for them.
>>11230796No Merrin, No Malicos, No Bode, No Rayvis, but two Dagan Garas? What the hell is going on at hasbro?
>>11229347Why don't they pair a Phase 1 Clone with a Geonosis B1? It hasn't been released in a while and we already have a widely available Super BD.
>>11230387
These people just don't learn. Maybe Hasbro should drop the license after The Mando movie releases.
>>11231437Sooo... Rey is the next Luke?
>>11231437I don't want Hasbro to drop the Star Wars license purely because there is a lineage all the way back to the original Kenner figures, and a certain amount of institutional knowledge that still exists in the line. I don't think Mattel or Jakks or whoever could match that.Really Disney just needs to stop treating Star Wars like either a cash cow they can bleed for park merch, or a proxy to push their agenda du jour, and Hasbro needs to cease their corporate bullshittery and go back to being a TOY company again.
>>11231437Nobody cares about this bitch. What a pain in the ass.
>>11231534I don't want them to drop it either but they're in a shitty position now. With the insane licensing fees they have to pay for Star Wars and Marvel and Disney forcing them to produce product for a bunch of shit media that isn't going to sell, it doesn't make sense to stay on board. Branded toys are performing worse and worse every quarter and rising prices certainly aren't helping. Especially when we're all starting to notice how much they are having to cheap out on stuff lately such as neglecting paint apps even on Deluxe figures. We already know they have 2025 and 2026 planned out per Mr. Stevie, but If they don't drop it after 2027 just to hit that 50 year anniversary, I would be very surprised. Best case is they're going to see how well the next film performs and if it doesn't do wonders for sales and revitalize the brand like the first season of The Mandalorian did, then I hope they are at least doing some hardcore negotiations with Disney's department to lower the cost of the license to actually make it worth it to keep producing this stuff.
>>11231437I feel bad for Hasbro
>>11231437How can this be true when we know Iger and the board demanded a Mandalorian movie and put all of KK’s shit on the back burner? Obviously Mando and Grogu are marketable. Rey is extremely tarnished. They will have to resurrect Adam Driver.
>>11231437She never bothered me desu. I'm not a fan of the sequel trilogy but it's hardly because of her. The lack of any coherent story is what really hurt the ST. Plus she's cute. InB4 replies with her big teeth wide mouth memes show up. Don't care, still would. Liked the yellow light saber too.
>>11231437>Rey is the key to all of this
>>11231561>Branded toys are performing worse and worse every quarter and rising prices certainly aren't helping. This is the thing, there's a bit of a cultural shift in that a lot of kids are leaning more toward the digital, and the kids that are still playing with toys get funnelled into other brands because of how insanely expensive licensed stuff is.So the main group of people buying stuff like Star Wars and Marvel are the collectors, but a lot of collectors hate what Disney are doing with the brands. Nobody likes the sequels, but Disney insists on shoving them into everything, Mando definitely brought a lot of fans back, but instead of letting that series run its course naturally, Disney insisted on shoving Grogu into everything. Book of Boba Fett got forced into including Grogu, which then compromised Mando season 3 because that dropped an episode which should have been the first episode of S3 and forced the writers to add in more filler. Now apparently Season 4 has been cancelled, despite Favreau having completed all the scripts, because Disney wanted a movie instead.Essentially Disney shot themselves in the foot and now insist on marching forward on it, while Hasbro are forced to follow behind, slipping on the blood.
>>11231626Rey wasn't really the is. Ridley is a decent actress and played the part well enough, the problem was Disney's impatience in deciding to greenlight a trilogy and go into production straight away, instead of sitting down and coming up with a plan for what they wanted going forward, and Rian Johnson deciding to purposely piss off as much of the fanbase as possible with TLJ, which not only fucked up the sequel trilogy, but did irreparable harm to the brand as a whole. Everything currently wrong with Star Wars stems from those two factors, Disney's impatience and Johnson's fuck-up forcing Disney to try and course correct mid race.
Rey Sucks
>>11231598It all comes tumbling down, tumbling down, tumbling dooown.
>>11231821Honestly TLJ was the most interesting movie of that trilogy. It definitely had some mistakes, but it's the one I remember most fondly of the three. RoS was the big issue there, for back-pedalling so much on the last one. It even ignored characters like Rose from the last one to focus on fan service instead
>>11231890>most fondly>TLJYou're disgusting
I don’t know why the modern storm troopers don’t come with painted E-11 blasters. Is it really worth the 1/10 of one cent, Hasbro? Anyways, I used a silver metallic sharpie to paint the “ejection port” myself and I think it turned out nice. It’s not as good as a paint app, but it’s pretty damn close, especially from display distance.
>>11232267Some E-11s are painted but it feels random. I thought figures with few paint apps get painted blasters but stormtroopers have like no paint and their blasters are still unpainted. The old 3.75 clone blasters used to look so good
>>11231534Hope the knowledge bearers can write down their wisdom somewhere
Is the black series Super Battle Droid any good?
>>11231821Yeah agreed. In fact, if they had actually tried to do something interesting instead of looking at SW as a cheap cash in with brown people it could have been amazing. This series has potential but only in the hands of the fans sadly it seems the higher ups in the film industry have never cared enough.
>>11231890I am not trying to be that guy, but they all sucked in different ways in my opinion. I have been a hater for the ST since the Force Awakens. I have no idea how that film got as much praise as it did when it came out. I know these meme buzzwords keep being thrown out in 2024, but it really was a soulless cash grab of a film. Next year will be the 10th anniversary of the first film. It will be interested to see how Disney handles it. I imagine the 20th anniversary of Revenge of the Sith will completely overshadow it.
>>11231927Which is your favourite of the three?>>11232267Looks good, Anon
>>11232405Yes. Probably one of the better droids they've put out recently.
>>11232421>I have been a hater for the ST since the Force Awakens. I have no idea how that film got as much praise as it did when it came out.Same here. I walked out of TFA hating 99% of it. I hadn't any high hopes to begin with considering I never really liked JJ Abrams' other work, but I was still very disappointed when it came to the overall story. And it definitely made me the outlier in my friends group, which felt felt weird since I was/am also the biggest Star Wars fan in it. After we talked about it and I made my points, one of them went to see the film again a few days later and he noticed more of what I had brought up regarding the characters and writing and said it didn't really hold up for him the second time. He was just caught up in the spectacle to really notice before. When TLJ came out, I didn't even bother but they all went and came back saying it was awful. It seemed like after that, we were all pretty much in agreement about TFA too so it was nice to be validated finally. I think that movie just got all the praise because it was new Star Wars in theaters. It was a cultural event. That and Abrams knows how to make a movie look good for the big screen, which is about the only praise I can give him. All that being said, I hope there is ZERO celebration for the anniversary on Hasbro's side. By now they should have plenty of data that shows how sequel stuff simply does not sell. And God knows we don't need anymore Finns or Reys eating up space in landfills across the world.
>>11232405>>11232459Absolutely. Only ways they could improved it are adding more paint and more things to the package. I want arm swaps and battle damaged chest plates.
>>11231890Of all of the things you could criticize RoS for you went with “not enough Rose.” I don’t know what to say to that other than I hate you a lot.
>>11232421tfa got praised so hard because it was when hating on lucas was at its peak. if people came out and said that tfa sucked they would look like retards for driving out the only guy who could actually make star wars, so they pretended and coped that it was actually good and just the first part of the trilogy so it's allowed to have plot holestime proved that these people were stupid anyways but there are still people who cope about it
Seems figuarts weren't doing the episode 3 rerelease in order to give us this updated one instead. Just happy to finally be able to get one to go with my ani.
>>11232480>>11232608I had the same experience, except all my friends hated the Force Awakens (except one of my "friends" at the time), and then with the Last Jedi, those same people somehow liked it. I was literally in disbelief. It took one of my best friends years to admit he was dead wrong about TLJ (and then ended up hating the ST). I think all your points are correct. It's wild how so many people who "enjoyed" the ST now hate it. I guess better late than never.>>11232977I am curious about this release, but I hope the Black Series has a comparable one.
>>11232436There's not a single good thing about any of the Sequels. Rogue One is the only "good" Star Wars movie Disney has made, and even it is actually a bad movie that falls apart if you think too hard.
>>11233020It's still very possible to have a favourite among bad things. TFA and ROS are bad because they took the safest possible route by referencing the older movies, and came out bland and forgettable. TLJ at least tried some things, even if it fell hard on its face in doing so.
>>11233186Trying things just to try things is not smart or a good strategy. TLJ was still bland and forgettable, still took all the same shit from previous movies and rehashed it except in reverse. It was an exceptionally pathetic attempt. And the toy line was so bad that they didn't bother with anything else!
>>11232977already have the original one so i won't bother upgrading, but happy for the anons that missed out>>11233012>I am curious about this release20th anniversary of ROTS next year, and they're already doing an updated ani, would expect TBS to do a few special figures as well
>>11232977He looks pretty dang good, though I will admit the face looks more Benedict Cumberpatch than it does Mcgregor. Still, the cloth goods on him look pretty great for being 1/12 and the rest of the sculpt looks spot on to my eyes. If I mixed SHF with TBS (and also didn't suspect an updated Hasbro figure soon) I'd seriously consider this guy.
>>11232977If I remember correctly the original release had tunic flaps on the back of the lower tunic which isn't accurate to the movie. Wonder if they fixed that.
Despite how many official preorders shipped in the last couple weeks I still grabbed a few of the new aliexpress bootleg clones, because ARF troopers are my weakness and hasbro hasn't put any out in over a decade. The bootleg-original helmets look great, they seem accurate in design and scale as far as I can tell, but they have a pretty severe flaw in that they made these brand-new helmets removable ones that still have a clone head underneath. There's some warping on the visor of my "Phase II" ARF, which will probably be fixable with some hot water, but would've not been there in the first place if the helmet wasn't still a softer plastic so it can be removable. This seems like a guarantee they won't ever switch to the non-removable official phase II helmet, which sucks and will definitely be a dealbreaker for some people; that being said, at $11 I still like these guys enough to be glad I got them, and I'll pick up some more later, because at hasbro's current pace we'll never ever get these kinds of obscure clones within this decade.
>>11232977The boots seem the wrong color? Or too bright.
>>11234074No, they're pretty spot on, actually.
>>11222911lol
I pre-ordered the sexy wolfman from Skeleton Crew last night and it's already in stock at BBTS. They're shitting these figures out fast.
>>11234985They have to get to Ollie's by Christmas.
>>11234011Wanted to also include this comparison but didn't have time to do it yesterday, as much as I really love the TCW ARF trooper I think the bootleg helmet size is closer to correct, especially accounting for the shift from animated-style proportions to 'realistic' style. I'm almost certain the "phase II" ARF helmet on the aliexpress figures is a commander/captain variant rather than a direct upgrade every ARF trooper got with the switch to phase II armor, which makes me really wish the bootleg "phase II" ARFs also came with cloth kamas, but that's theoretically something I could add myself if I end up feeling strongly enough about it.
>>11235283I think I'm tired of clones in the line.
>>11235315These aren't in the line, though, and so far hasbro's been displaying a lot of restraint with how many clones they've released with the newest body. I can agree the previous body oversaturated the line a bit, but I think they've already course-corrected too far in the opposite direction with this one; hasbro making all these aliexpress bootlegs themselves at this pace would definitely be overkill, but it's bizarre that we haven't seen less obscure/more popular options done by hasbro yet, like Cody or shock troopers.
Someone in the TVC Facebook group got ahold of the new Luke already.
>>11235373
>>11235373Oh that doesn't look great. Why is it so hard for them to do good ANH Luke?
>>11235373The pilot Luke face sculpt was better, honestly. Even some of the older Luke sculpts are about on par. It still looks decent overall and I'm excited for it, but I hope the new Obi-Wan and Han are a bit better. They're so weird about what they hit and what they miss.
>>11223461>>11223534Look up Playmobil Delorean. That got the same swirly grey treatment and people complained..
>>11235373I think it looks good overall. I just wish the boots were painted either gray or brown. I don't know which is most accurate, seems like there's different colors depending on what you look at but for years all merch has had him with contrasting boots. Making them the same white as the tunic doesn't look good.>>11235402Pilot and Jedi Knight/Light Cruiser are the best imo. But I think the biggest issue with this one and the black series is the hair sculpt. Hamill's hair was always moving around in the movie from wind or whatever else and seems like they picked random hair positions for the figures. I think Yavin Luke has the best default ANH hair. I might do a headswap with this head when I get the figure.
>>11235808Forgot pic
>>11235808His boots are about the same color as the tunic. They appear darker in some shots if you account for them getting a bit dirty during filming. I'd rather have this than the straight brown most toys usually give him, like the new Black Series version did.
I honestly still like the old one but a new Bespin Luke would be great. They could even distinguish it with a Vader duel title/cardback image to satisfy those people.
>>11235808>>11235810Yavin Luke is his best ANH head sculpt for sure. I think the Mando one is his best post the car accident, still not as good as Yavin. The new farm boy is simply awful
>>11235876I'd say it's the most needed update for Luke now that we have the Farmboy version.
>>11235970Yeah but we need to burn and bury the farmboy together with ET cartridges, that shit is cursed
>>11235373I need to see a better angle. The face seems okay, the hair seems too short.
>>11235876I really hope they make some ESB figures before TVC is killed. All new Luke, Han (can reuse legs from ANH), and Boba. I want Bossk, Dengar, and Bespin gown Leia too but would be fine with repacks. Retool IG-88 from IG-11. I can live without 4-lom and Zuckuss but maybe they can figure out something for them too.
Can someone explain to me where exactly all this TVC doomerism is coming from, aside from the latest imperial-jetpack mando and aurra sing repack losing paint? I get being concerned about the future because of that, but I'm also seeing a lot of people complain about this year being bad as far as releases go, which makes no sense to me when I bought more from this year's releases than maybe any year prior, between the haslab, the night troopers 4pack, the 501st clone 4pack, the ANH stormtrooper rerelease, the cruiser hallway, and various other 2024 figures that I think were pretty great. Are my figure desires so wildly out of sync with the broader consumerbase that a good year for me is a bad year for most others? Or is it something else?
Is Hasbro releasing the bs clone marine now that its releasing Comander Bacara soon?
>>11236241I don't think the line is in a healthy place. Black Series will get a whole wave dedicated to a new show while TVC will be lucky to get one figure from it. Black Series gets more (newly tooled) figures per year and usually has something for anniversaries which TVC tends to be left out of. When you compare the lines, it's clear TVC doesn't have nearly as big of a tooling budget. The reason being both lines have similar production costs but Black Series has a higher profit margin. TVC has funded every Haslab, the community is always making it known what we want through polls. Yet Hasbro is not increasing the budget and making the figures we want. It seems to me Hasbro doesn't really want to keep supporting TVC and would rather invest in Black Series. So I feel like it's only a matter of time before they end it. Maybe they will keep chugging along with a few figures every year until Hasbro or Lucasfilm shuts down. But unless there is a visible increase in budget and figure output, I think time is limited and things won't get better.Banthaskull posted a good article about all this stuff yesterday if you want to check it outhttps://www.banthaskull.com/story/news-is-the-vintage-collection-in-its-death-rattle
>>11236241Because this year HAS been bad. It's been bad for a very long time. Star Wars is probably one of the biggest sinking ships right now. Toy Anxiety had From 4-LOM to Zuckuss on for another State of Star Wars show: https://www.youtube.com/live/JOaJX1tFQ8E?si=XUjcG1lai5DT8w81They get a lot of their frustrations out at how Hasbro and Lucasfilm/Disney is completely botching Star Wars.
>>11236355I don't think The Black Series is in all that enviable a position either, and I'm not just saying that because I prefer 3.75" for Star Wars. I'm not sure anything is doing that well for Hasbro right now, though G.I. Joe Classified seems at least somewhat more energetic.
>>11236394I agree. Both lines are in shitty places. Unless the Mando movie can REALLY act like a shot of adrenaline for the IP, I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro decides to stop making Star Wars toys after 2027.
Hey guys, I came earlier from Walmart after buying the 2022 AT-TE and it turned out to be a counterfeit. Has any of you had the same experience with this?
>>11236355That comparison between TBS and TVC isn't new, though, what exactly was different about it this year? TVC doesn't seem likely to go anywhere when it's the scale that's willing to pre-fund big $500 items and TBS isn't, the per-figure margins can afford to be lower if you're using them to sell items with better margins than anything TBS could ever do, which is why we're probably going to see a TVC haslab every year going forward. Even if we suppose that haslab profits don't bridge the gap between TVC and TBS, everything hasbro does sucks ass profit-wise compared to magic cards, that doesn't mean they're gonna drop everything else they sell. They might want to do that, but they know they can't, because they can't convert every TVC, TBS, Transformers, GIJoe, etc. consumer into a magic consumer. They're gonna try their hardest, clearly, with how much emphasis they're putting on magic crossovers, but that's a separate mess. Also, I read their article before I made my post, and I don't understand it at all. Again I agree with and share the concerns about aurra sing and imperial-jetpack mando's missing paint, but I think two figures being mishandled is a bit too early to believe the line is doomed or that we 'need' to pay more. Yeah, they're right that we can never get back to $9.99 for reasons that are outside of hasbro's control, but that doesn't mean we 'need' to go past $17.99 either. A big part of recognizing that economic reality is also recognizing that many - possibly most - collectors cannot afford to keep up with more new releases than we're already getting, and hasbro likely knows this. To get more new figures released faster, the economy would need to significantly improve so that more people can afford to buy more figures at a faster rate than hasbro is currently making them. They're already pushing the upper limit of what people can afford with the pace of haslabs, pushing harder on mainline stuff right now would not be likely to succeed.
>>11236360>a definitively perfect new clone trooper with the 501st 4pack>the best stormtrooper rereleased and produced enough to still be available for msrp right now>the return of creatures to the line>larger vehicles continuing to be made>desirable OT haslabNo, I really don't agree it's been a bad year for TVC. It's been a couple bad years for public reception of new star wars media, for sure, and skeleton crew will probably make it even worse, but I don't think that means TVC itself has sucked that whole time too. I could fill multiple posts with my opinions on the current state of star wars outside of TVC, between the shows, the games, and the horrid pile of nonsense being constantly shoveled into hard canon via the comics, but none of that makes the new clone trooper worse or un-produces the episode IV stormtrooper rerelease. If we wanna bitch about disney's choices and hasbro's obligation to give them at least token merchandise support, that's one thing, but I think it's a separate thing from how good or bad TVC releases have been, because I've been pretty happy with the latter despite my feelings on the former being a lot less positive.
>>11236560No, those are all pathetic releases. And things that took too long to even happen in the first place.>desirable OT haslabIt barely made it, and nobody is happy about it.
>>11236410The thing with Mando is it's just another commercial for Grogu. They know people are tired of the little fucker, but they need Star Wars money still. They know everything is dipping and crashing, and Grogu is their only "guarantee" so that's why he's in a big movie.I personally hope it fails entirely or at least performs as badly as Solo so they really panic.
>>11236627I swear the way some of you guys talk, I question as to if you even like whatever franchise you're bitching about.
>>11236630it's better and has more integrity to have nothing at all, than it is to have a bunch of action figures of ugly brown afro kids fill up every ROSS and Ollie's in the country.we've been in brown afro territory for 12 years now.
>>11236394>I don't think The Black Series is in all that enviable a position either2 years ago I would have agreed but this year they have gotten a noticeable budget increase and they are knocking out a ton of heavily requested figures and delving into EU. It could always be better, sure, but with the brand where it is and no movies, I think it is doing pretty well.>>11236555Okay, let's say TVC keeps going for the next 15 years. But at some point they stop making figures and it's just one $500 Haslab every year. Technically TVC is still alive but they are not making the figures we want. That is the problem that's causing all the dooming. We don't want scraps but right now that's what it feels like we're getting. There's more problems than just Aurra and Mando. It doesn't matter if you spent a lot of money this year because ultimately they aren't making a lot of new product to support new or old media which is bad and concerning. >not getting the figures we want>not getting figures because Hasbro won't increase the budget>Hasbro won't increase the budget because margins aren't good>If margins aren't good and/or costs are getting too high, they may decide to end itThat's how I see it. Like you said, they can't keep increasing prices or no one will buy. So if costs keep going up pushing margins further down, they might stop. I just cannot foresee a bright future for TVC. Like there is literally no reason to believe in a bright future besides naivete. Star Wars brand is dead, no one likes it, kids don't like it, kids don't like toys, adults are struggling to afford toys, 1/18 is not a popular scale anymore. Like all this shit is on a decline. The best example is the Bad Batch. Why don't we have the Bad Batch? If things were good, we would have the Bad Batch by now and the fact that we don't means there are problems.
>>11236630With the current state of it, I think I would go as far as to say I hate Star Wars and am actively wishing for its failure. Part of it is schadenfreude after how they treated us for over a decade, the other part is I am just tired of seeing nonstop garbage. I am tired of "fans" calling me a toxic bigot for not thinking their garbage is a masterpiece. I just want it all to end so I can peacefully enjoy the old content I actually do like without having drama and negativity every couple months. Really the toys that remind me of the good old days are the only thing keeping my interest in Star Wars alive but even then I am starting to question if I am just compulsively wasting money on shit that I don't even like anymore.
>>11236625>No, those are all pathetic releases. And things that took too long to even happen in the first place.I don't know what alternate universe you're posting from, but in this one all those releases were great. The only 'new' figure I'd call pathetic is the scout troopers they packed with the new speeder bikes, I genuinely hate how they turned out. As for the haslab, there are definitely people who are happy about it, I'm happy with it as-is because I didn't really care about the included figures to begin with so losing one doesn't change much for me, I might keep Wuher but I'll be selling off the rest since I'm nowhere near having every cantina patron and trying to recreate the scene as it was in the movie isn't what I wanna do with the cantina anyway.
>>11236911Can you name the other problems, aside from aurra sing and mando, and the slower-than-ideal pace of new releases that is (most likely) caused by the general state of the economy limiting consumer purchases of collectibles rather than hasbro/disney mistakes directly? I'm personally most upset by the latest scout trooper being complete and total garbage in a world where they proved how well they can do clonetroopers and stormtroopers, but that doesn't even seem to be one of the things other people are mad about, and one figure being horrible doesn't lead me to imagine the line is screwed.I will admit part of this is definitely a personal problem, for me, in that I don't know what figures you mean by figures "we" want, because what I personally want is probably not what you're talking about here. I'm not even sure I'd buy the whole bad batch team at this point, I want crosshair but if I had to pick the rest of the team over TK troopers, cody the gray, and a redo of the elite squad troopers on the new clone body, I'd choose the latter in an instant. Granted, I get to choose neither of these things because we're not getting any of that stuff, but the point I'm going for here is that I don't think there's nearly as much community consensus on wanted figures right now compared to in the past. That or I'm just wildly out of touch with what I want, I guess. To reiterate though, I disagree that this is a problem of margins, I strongly believe the problem is there's a finite and lowered amount of money people can afford to spend on hobbies right now, and that's not within any one company's control. If hasbro increased the budget right now I think many collectors would end up quitting over being unable to afford to keep up with more new releases, unless the budget went up while the msrp also went down, which is not realistically possible, again due to the world economy. If the economy stays this bad then yeah TVC is doomed, but that'd be the least of our problems.
We are getting skeleton crew and acolyte figures before Ben solo
>>11236954TVC barely has anything from the ST. There are a few things from the sequels I'd like, but I can't fault Hasbro for dropping them hard once they were able. It's still bizarre though that things turned out that way.
>>11236954Faag

>>11235373>>11235808>>11235810I really hope the Yavin head fits as a simple head swap (no dremmeling or carving). Partly because I want an easy fix for the new farmboy, but also because my Yavin figure has a slight defect in the shoulder so the arm doesn't sit quite where it should, so I want an excuse to replace it.

Got Jude Norwood today. He's alright. Not a big fan of the Babushka scarf thing, he looks kinda goofy in it. I like that the jacket is a really soft plastic though so it doesn't really hinder his legs at all.
This week's Gift the Galaxy reveals.>TVC IG-12 (Deluxe)>Baylan Skoll Force FX Elite lightsaber Both up for preorder tomorrow 1pm ET
Not exactly sure why this needed to be deluxe when the original IG-11 was a regular figure.
>>11238886>Mando shit forever and everWhen will they see that no one likes baby yoda anymore?>>11238888Nothing needs to be deluxe, it's all about profit margins. People need to realize it's not about accessories or size or anything like that, just expect a handful of overpriced figures every year. I don't know why we are still asking this question when we have gone through this so many times. Deluxe is arbitrary. Hasbro has decided they need to do x number of deluxes per year and it is basically based on which characters they feel like they can get away charging more for.
>>11238888What pisses me off is that he is not even that big, top is him side by side with the old BS and bottom is from model kits. I hope if the ever re-release Grievous as a deluxe they make him proper big and not this this bullshit again,
