Here's a paint deco sample for the 1/12 scale Red Sonja from Boss Fight Studios, and it's looking reeeeeeeal rough. First of all, she doesn't even look like the same person across all three faces. Second, none of these faces look appealing at all. You've got odd looking eyes, caked on makeup, and weirdly gappy teeth. And to top it all off, this is a "premium" $50 figure.I've actually been looking forward to this release (despite the excessive pricing) because I assumed the quality would be there. Right now, I'm beginning to doubt.

What's most shocking to me is how much worse the physical body looks. Previously we'd only seen renders of this new female body they were going to use. Seeing it physically printed out here just does not make it look as good. The body looks really awful. The elbow joints, chunky knees, ugly inner thigh area. This body makes the standard female Legends body look better.

This body is looking like the old Toy Biz Marvel Legends bodies circa 2006 in some ares. WTF is with these blocky elbow joints and ugly looking knees from the sides? The lower legs also look much worse because now it's clear the lower legs just have a brown boot overlay on them, and they aren't actually one single part. So the ankle area is just going to look extra bulbous and have flesh tone showing through? This is a $50 figure. That is not acceptable.

If this thing is supposed to be shipping next month, why are we just now seeing the crappy hand painted proto? Shouldn't we be well into the packaged factory sample stage by now?
