Got red G2 Planet X Slag today. Finally have the trio but is hoping the other 2 dinobots get the recolour

055 is toy and 055T is toon. or the other way around idk.estimate mid-dec. Also means the other G1 Micros have been pushed back i guess
>>11223995Wasn't fond of their Megatron/Primal being more mechanical(I like Transmetals, but I'd rather have the Season 1 looks be faithful, especially since their color layouts contrast organic and mechanical), but I like how this looks. I'm also less burned out on Season 1 Cheetor than OG Primal and Megatron
Since China loves Michael Bay’s films so much, its a little bit odd how theres no third party Dispensor yet, may have to come up with an alternate mountain dew offbrand but still a Vending Machine Transformer is great
>>11225294low effort post
Does anyone care about the MS dinobots at allI think their eventual Wheeljack is going to be a stronger seller than any of these guys.
>>11225422The have better legs than NA but holy crap the Dino modes look bad
>>11225422I feel like I would care more if they didn't flub the dinos modes. Not that they look bad, but NA actually put forward the effort to give the dinos some posability, and I really expected MS to go the extra mile and flex their engineering. Instead, they disappointed.
Did anybody else nab a cheap MS Spock from ShowZ? I had just enough points to get one for free. Kind of forgot how hard Magic Square's engineering goes.
>>11225491I was considering it but I really don't like to buy double of the same character. I already have the NA.I might buy the mold if they ever make the Radio Shackwave but MS is allergic to making money from repaints apparently.
>>11225493I'm surprised they didn't already make a Shackwave - I had figured they'd done that right away. I'm thinking of picking up the NA one in those colors, since that one looks awesome as well.
>>11225494I was also considering the NA Shackwave but I wasn't willing to pay that much because I wanted three of them to match the Transformers Devastation attack formation he had there. It would have been way too much money on something I'd only ever reserve for the seekers because they're the seekers.
It's Swoop
>>11225491Good figure but I don’t like to buy MS’s painted figures, I know how things go with that, they are never engineered with paint in mind. His backpack is going to get so scuffed up unless you never transform it right.
>FansHobby Minerva got restocked on ShowZ like 2 days ago>figure I'd give it some thought since I bought a shitload of things this month already>she's sold out alreadyI probably wasn't going to get her this time either way, but I'm surprised how fast that happened. Guess she's pretty popular.
>>11225461I don't see where the criticism of their dinosaur modes is coming from. But then I'm not shrieking for a 2.0 (or toon version) of the FT Dinobots either.FT, NA, MS, and SS86 (mostly) have all looked more or less what I expect the Dinobots to look like. Even the POTP set, barring Grimlock (a trainwreck), wasn't bad. It's all of the others that look weird to me.
Got MP22 & XTBs Stack but still getting this as well. I've got a problem

>>11225422Wow this looks....terrible.
>>11225938Jesus fuck I thought that was Slugfest from the thumbnail. Cartoon literalism was a mistake.
>>11225022>>11225023I literally can't tell a difference between the two. What is going on?
>>11226041Same differences in colour between Magnus toon and toy>>11225960Lol?The NewAge one is toon too and it looks way better in Dino mode
>>11226047>Same differences in colour between Magnus toon and toyNo it is not. Wu's "Toy" magnus was exactly the same color as the regular one except the Prime was entirely white instead of having blue legs. Toy Magnus should be a light blue; Wu's was still dark blue.
>>11226049I’m saying Magnus in general, not dr wu
>>11226041one is vibrant and the other isn't
Is dp robot store on ali legit? I ordered $100 worth of stuff from them over a week ago and they took so long I thought about cancelling, then right as it was about to hit the 10 day limit and give me a full refund they suddenly marked my stuff as shipped. Are they scamming me or will I get my stuff? Ive seen people say they got their stuff from them in the past, some damaged, but they got their stuff in the end. And as long as I get my stuff Im happy, but wanna make sure those werent just fake shills and Im actually gonna get my things and not some empty box
>>11226346I've ordered from them. They're legit.
>>11226361That's good to know. I dont mind waiting as long as the stuff shows up, so I'll be patient with them for now
>>11226346I got the Up Assistant for Aliexpress to help me with choosing vendors. No idea how reliable it is but so far it hasn't steered me wrong yet.
>>11226047>The NewAge one is toon too and it looks way better in Dino modeI'm not going to bat for either of them. I do not care for hyper-toon-accuracy. It does not result in good toys.
>>11226575>It does not result in good toys.In what regards? Playability, looks, or both?
>>11226575Next you're gonna tell me cang toys shit actually looks good
>>11226613Not him but I like it along with my NA stuff.I just like robots in general. Always with these caveman like divisions for something generally super subjective.
>>11226613Not him, but I've been thinking about this more than I probably should recently. I like to say I don't care that much about toon accuracy, but I don't care for the Cang Toys method where it's barely recognizable as the character either. I also kinda hate the "cheating" done via faux parts and such to make stuff look toon accurate like MP-44 and such. I'm impressed by the engineering and all, but at some point it feels like it's missing the point. I want my transforming robot toys to feel like a logical 3D-space representation of the character I guess, if that makes sense.I'm also one of the weirdos that likes the MMC Cliffjumper over the FT and XTB ones for basically that reason.
>>11226624You're not really going to get a "logical 3D space representation" of magic size changing space robots, anon. You're in the wrong toy lines for that. It's all about making them look like the character they are.Which is why just about everything is a spaghetti panelformer these days. Even some mainline shit sort of is. If you want neat mechanical bits and "muh realistic representation" stuff, I guess go build some Master or Real Grade Gundam models or something.
>>11226595Pretty sure he's trying to bait arguments.
>>11225938>Wall Stella
Still sad that cel shading isn't around anymore. Flat toon colors are ok but I really wanted more like this. Hope Devastation re release rumor is true so these get popular again.
>>11226689cell shading looks fucking abysmal dude. The only thing worse is slathering it in "battle damage" shit. Painting a 3d object with shitty stripes to make it look 3d is such a mind-numbingly retarded thing I can't even comprehend how people convince themselves it looks good
>>11226624Too bad. The tooners won this one. Can't do sunbow designs without fake parts, and can't do anything but sunbow designs.
>>11226689>Devastation re releaseFuck that bring the High Moon games back I never got them>>11226794Tastelet
>>11226802I'm sorry I have functioning eyes and depth perception I guess?
>>11226689isn't this that one terrible devastator that costs like 1000 bucks and destroys itself?
>>11226794is this a cope
>>11226817don't use words you don't understand
>>11226809I think it’s the opposite anon, you lack depth perception
Finally went and bought the two torsobots for Moon Studios Radiatron after only owning the arms/legs for like a year, and after putting all 6 together I can see the appeal people have towards MP scale combiners (t. CHUGtard). Definitely has some serious shelf presence.
>>11226885It looks great yeah. Though scale aside I think the main thing is that it actually functions properly as opposed to whatever the Takara Tomy one was trying to do.
>>11226818are you coping?
>>11226689It's still the best G1 aesthetic.
>>11225859Nah, this having white prime make this release more unique.
>>11226885Nice, I don't think you'll find a better looking Raiden than that
Do KOs of MS-02 Light of Freedom exist? I found this guy at a LCS for a steal and has me wondering.
>>11226346Probably some kind of reseller sourcing from Chinese platforms like PDD, they order when you order and have to wait for everything to reach their warehouse. When did you order anyways? 11/11 sales started 2 weeks ago so everything is bogged down if they do it that way.
>>11226802Fuck you, bring them all back. Devastation was amazing and so were the WFC/FOC games. And High Moon needs to be released from the Call of Duty mines already.
>>11227096Speaking of Devastation, what would be the best MP scale figures to represent the Autobots? I got Optimus and Sideswipe covered, but what about the other 3?
>>11227096>>11226802Just pirate them all, the money goes to actiblizz anyways
>>11227106I don't collect MP, so I have no opinion on that. Sorry.
>>11227106I haven't played Devastation, but that's just G1 designs isn't it? G1 fans are usually pretty spoiled for choice, though in particular for the other three playable in that game:>Bumblebee, WheeljackBelieve it or not only the HasTak officials (and the KOs) exist for MP for these guys at the moment so that's really your only choice there. Bumblebee has two versions though so up to you if you want MP-21 with its more realistic car mode and less accurate robot mode, or MP-45 with its more toon accurate car and robot modes but with way more kibble.>GrimlockThe HasTak one is a bit outdated but it's there if you want it. Same with the Fanstoys one desu, the Gigapower one is more recent and better IMO. Supposedly there might be some other companies working on MP scale Grimlock (like the recent Mecha Invasion Devastator had images of a Grimlock chest so they're probably working on a Volcanicus if you care about having that at some point).
>>11227133>I haven't played DevastationPlay it if you can, otherwise you are really missing out. Simplistic battle system, but its so much fun.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DwCDhM3uYM
>>11227111No worries>>11227133I owned the 2.0 Bee he is more or less what I am looking for but the kibble.Has no 3rd party company made a MP Bumblebee more toony then the 2.0? That's a shame.I suppose I will wait and see what comes out in the future for Bee, Jack and Grimlock
>>11227133I never really thought about it, but it is sorta odd how we haven't really seen 3P MP Bumblebees
I gotta be honest with you /3pg/I regret buying Magic Square's Mirage over Newage's. Yeah it's bigger, but holy shit I hate the transformations, and the shoulders are awful.
>>11227770I don't do Magic Square because my tastes don't line up with their designs and engineering, but I got Newage's Diaclone Mirage and it's not super good. It's okay yeah but the size really hurts it and some of the proportions and articulations are outdated. Between the shirt thighs and the knees bending 90° max, the figure isn't really fun to pose, which is a shame too because I love red mirage.
>>11227823I have both, and honestly, neither Mirage is really "better" than the other, they're both very frustrating in different ways.If I HAD to choose one winner it would have to be Newage's, because MS' shoulders absolutely suck. It doesn't help the black paint on them scrapes off way too easily thanks to transformation.
Does anyone have any of those Yolopark things?
>>11227839That kind of "hot rod shoulder" design can singlehandedly ruin an entire figure, it's so bad. I don't know how anyone can stand it
>>11228029This may be my biggest pet peeve of the last five years for Transformers and adjacent lines, and it always happens to figure I want to love and would be infinitely better without that shit, it's the worst.
>>11226595Both. The kind of engineering required to make the Sunbow models work as transforming figures makes transformations horrendously fiddly and overcomplicated, and also adds a lot of panels and hinges that stick out like a sore thumb with no surface detail for them to blend into, kind of defeating the aim of a clean cartoon-accurate robot. That's without getting into the subjective matter of whether you like how the cartoon models look enough to want 1:1 recreations of them. Also the increased partscount from the engineering massively balloons the price of the figures; remember when Legends scale stuff was actually pretty affordable? I 'member.Personally I prefer more detailed looks for my 'bots, the tooniest I can really go is the Maketoys Seeker mold (which to be fair is a very nice toy despite lacking surface detail here and there). Doesn't have to be Cang levels of hyperdetailed, but the Hasui era stuff is my preference. Stuff like MP Prowl manages to get the right balance between faith to the character, being fun to manipulate as a toy and looking more interesting than a stack of boxes.
>>11228892>The kind of engineering required to make the Sunbow models work as transforming figures makes transformations horrendously fiddly and overcomplicatedSubjective opinion based on skill issue.>and also adds a lot of panels and hinges that stick out like a sore thumb with no surface detail for them to blend intoGive examples. Also the increased partscount from the engineering massively balloons the price of the figuresThis is mostly a company to company basis. Their Grapple went for $45 before being boxed set with Inferno for $40 in competition with the NA figures.>I think there's a limit to how accurate you can make it whilst having it transform before it gets impractical. That’s a subjective opinion.

It's no coincidence that we are getting back to back Reactivate, WFC and Devastation toys with none of the tie in games being available. There must be legal reasons that forced Hasbro to release everything early.
>>11231203Reactivate probably was a lead game that would open up the brand back into vidya but it seems to have crashed and burn to such a degree that everything else got dragged into it.
>inb4 games got canceled for tax right off reasons
>>11231210Reactivate is such a strange case. From the 5 seconds of footage we saw it played identically to WFC, but the damage numbers and internal documents make it sounds more like a F2P live service game. I'd imagine it wouldn't be flattering to release a game like that if FOC 4K was also available for 30$, especially if it doesn't even have a single player campaign.
>>11231203>>11231210Reactivate is 100% cancelled. It was a Suicide Squad style live service looter shooter in an industry atmosphere where that's a death sentence and it's been in dev hell for years. They'd be better off closing the studio and saving the money on printing copies than releasing it.

Buying anything from China takes ages and in my experience Aliexpress actually moves relatively quickly if anything in comparison to like ShowZ and whatnot. I've had experiences sometimes even with the big sites where it takes a day or two before the tracking number works, but with Aliexpress the most common thing is just that it's probably some flipper who can't find stock so they either take ages before they ship or they twiddle their thumbs doing whatever the fuck before asking you to cancel the order. In this case if your dispute doesn't work and the package actually ends up coming and there's some kind of issue, you wait until the package comes, carefully record the process of you opening it, and then dispute it again (I've yet to be scammed but I still record all the packages I open just in case since it's not a big deal to do so either way). If you have video evidence if you being sent the wrong thing there's usually no way for Aliexpress to be ruling against you.
>>11231674What the fuck? Even my holy grail, the Ocular Max Bruticus, is only $1300 AUD at most on Ebay, and that's for all five fucking figures and their accessories.
>>11231573>>11231583I cancelled the spider girl because of how bad her alt mode is. I hope these two come out better. Surprised they're putting that much effort into the trailers. Looks better than any transformers show to date.
>>11231674>wait until a more accurate Strika comes out>buy for a fraction of the pricePatience, my young padawan
>>11231674Does this fuckwad still want $13 to ship the $1700 toy
>>11226575Legends scale is only when hyper-toon accuracy works, though. It actually looks cute or charming when it's that size.
Blue and Yellow repaints when?
>>11232089>expecting beast machines anythingYou'd probably be better off just trying to find a Strika 3D model somewhere and printing it. Hell I bet you have enough time to learn 3D modeling and make your own
>>11233239if they'll make anything BM they'll make Strika just because she's one of the few girls.

>>11231674Does anyone actually expect listings like this to be sold? I don't get it at all
>>11233443There are rich fucks that pay thousands upon thousands for niche furry porn commissions so I can imagine there really is some rich autist who likes Strika enough to actually drop that amount of money on one of the few figures of her.
Speaking of toys that cost too GD much now, I occasionally try hunting down these Throttlebots and it's just not gonna happen. I understand they're not great, I think the midget combiner mode is funny.>>11233514I genuinely want this figure and I have intrusive thoughts about offering the guy $700* and even that is insane. I won't do it, it's just a stray brainworm.*$687.01 because I won't pay the $12.99 for shipping
>>11233526The Throttlebots are weird. Sorry but j just can't remember their names. Green white and Goldbug feel like high quality Hasbro figures with high quality Classics/Universe era engineering and materials. Red and Blue meanwhile feel like Alternators-grade overengineering with KO-grade low quality plastic that doesn't feel capable of enduring repeated transformations, they don't hold together very well in robot mode either. Orange meanwhile is 60% panels and literally requires bending plastic to make things work, he's awful.Really just get green white and Goldbug and leave it at that. The Combined mode isn't worth having to deal with red blue and orange.
>>11233443I can only imagine it is that high so that they can get lower, but still stupidly expensive offers.
>47cm (~18 inches)Motherfucker, I was hoping this would be around 10-12 inches tall so I could sneak him in as a CHUG Scorponok since I prefer Marvel G1 sized Scorponok over giant city dude Scorponok. $180 on ShowZstore for those interested
>>11234408Ya, cool but I agree that what you're saying is closer to what I'd prefer. Maybe even smaller, like the old Lord Scorpion from IF.
>>11234408What's the niche for when the titan is getting another reissue?
>>11234408>>11234410I'm still waiting for a Scorponok that works with TW Infinitor...>>11234411Comes with all the accessories and Fasttrack, and Zarak scales with one of the Legends Headmasters lines I forgot which.
>>11234408Why would I spend this kind of money when I could just wait for a Hasbro reissue. The hastak almost scales with legends and it's only 20 usd more.
>>11233578The tinfoil in me says they're keeping the "market listing" high so that their alts that have loads of the product can sell for a "reasonable" price, 20% lower than the highest....that or they're just sellers who are really banking on nerds who missed out on the FOMO just like the other guy said.
>>11234408It’s literally the same as their metroplex, why were you expecting it to be shorter?
>>11234447Because the hasbro one is huge?
>>11234498Yes that's a benefit for scale chart autism. That said it probably does look nice with Wu stuff.
>>11234499I’m glad that I’m not that autisticI’ve heard people complain that cell is not big enoughI just want things I can mess with, not monstrosities that are cumbersome and take up half a bookshelf
>>11234514Well you're complaining about my complaining so I would not count yourself out on the autism charts.
>>11234520>Well you're complaining about my complaining?
>>11234523yes this started because i complained and then someone complained about me complaining
>>11234525I definitely think you are autistic
>>11234527Cool.
We need more MW stuff
>>11234408Kind annnoying how they didn't preserve a single location his con insignia is supposed to go to, like they deliberately went out of their way to not give the chest the right details and put some studded surface for literally no reason
>>11234408If you're the type that cares about scaling a lot I imagine a Black Zarak version of this would technically would scale better with MP or whatever because he was smaller than Scorponok, IIRC. So there's that, I guess.>>11234659I suppose you could just put it on his belly under where it usually goes. Or bring out the sandpaper if you're feeling bold.
>>11234411this is not a mainline piece of shit for one
>>11234702mainline scorpy is really good though, easily one of the best titans
>>11234713Siyang should've gone for Fortress Maximus instead, the Titans figure for him is a piece of shit.Part of this is just that Titans Scorpy is kind of the best toy of the guy by default because we just don't see these behemoths being made that often in general. Until FT makes good on their promise to release that Fortress Maximus body I wouldn't hold my breath on a better figure of Scorponok ever coming out. And even then how long will it take, like a decade? I like to enjoy my toys while I'm still alive.
Gotta say toon runabout is still the worst. Most joints are loose, you can tell it was a rush job especially considering how good runamuck is
>>11235109The gold arms and no toy head kill the toy versions for me
Is it me or are the arms too big?
>>11235158It's just youThough the head is a little too small
>>11235158>>11235160The arms may not be too big, but they clearly have the elbow placed too high, that elbow bend will be absolutely useless.
>>11235177No that's just youBut his thighs are a little too short
>>11235187Nah, his head is a little smallalso I think the three toe feet also looks a bit offStill looks great overall though, it's just nitpicking
>>11235158He does have a bit of a skipped leg day look to him
>>11235232Wtf, are people blind? His feet and legs are huge
>>11235158From what I've seen, people were complaining that the arms were too short. I think I lean more in that direction, but in the end I don't have any issues with them.
>>11235189No that's just youBut his doors should be smaller
Got my Planet X Apocalypse reissue today! I've been looking forward to him - I never owned an official Trypticon, and I missed out on the first run of this guy way back when because I didn't have the money for him at the time. I love how he looks - his WFC design was always my favorite, looking less Tyrannosaurus-like and more Godzilla-y. Plus he was awesome in the game.Anyway, it took a bit longer than expected to actually fiddle around with him. My initial attempt to transform him out of the box ran into a bunch of issues - parts colliding with each other, things not matching up with what's being shown in the instructions, peg holes in his chestplate apparently not having the pegs they're supposed to attach to, arms flopping around, and a complete inability to get his robot head out of his chest. After about an hour of frustration, I looked up a video, where I realized the problem wasn't me (for once) - both halves of his torso had been misassembled, and both of his forearms were inverted! I had to take him apart, swap bits around, and gently reassemble him while fighting against the springs in his shoulders to get him back into his correct configuration (and ended up slashing my hands to bloody bits in the process). Fortunately, it seems he accepted my blood offering - once he was reassembled, his transformation into all three modes went off without a hitch, with all the 'missing' pegs now located where they belonged\ the ratchets in his arms now having the springs inside them to hold them secure, and his head now having the needed clearance to move around. He's basically perfect now, and I'm enjoying him quite a bit, though he's actually quite a bit shorter than my modern Titans.
>>11235390Nemesis mode. I always felt this looked more like the Darksyde than the Nemesis, but whatever - it's cool, even if I hate the fact that he's canonically lobotomized in this form. Dude deserved better
>>11235393"City" mode, which doesn't really look like much.
>>11235396Using the LEDs in the shoulder pods to illuminate the central spire in the dark looks pretty cool, though.Oh, he also splits into two separate things for some reason - a smaller spaceship, and a 'scorpion' monster. No idea why, but it's not a feature I imagine I'll be using often.Anyway, that's my blog - really, I just thought I'd ask if anyone else who picked up the reissue had the same issue with misassembly in his torso and arms, as I don't think I've ever had to take apart and completely reorient an entire Transformer - official or otherwise - before, and it seems like something people should be warned about.
>>11235398>Oh, he also splits into two separate things for some reason - a smaller spaceship, and a 'scorpion' monster. No idea why, but it's not a feature I imagine I'll be using often. The two parts were initially sold separately, if I remember correctly, so they needed to be able to do something on their own to justify it.
Oh fuck yeah
Got the trojan horse waspinator as my first 3p. Incredibly fiddly, to the point where i straight up broke one of the metal feet pieces trying to transform it. Are all 3ps like this or did i just get unlucky? Shame, since it's a really cool design.
>>11235683>Are all 3ps like thisNo, the design looks cool but it's not good engineeringit probably could work if it was bigger and thickerThere are plenty of 3P that are better made
>>11235683Also, does Trojan Horse have an email or something where I can bug them for a replacement foot? I can't find any leads and I still wanna keep him since he's still incredibly poseable.
>>11235699They might be dead but try asking your seller. 3P aftersales services are normally through the seller. Only a small handful like Fanshobby can do it internationally.
>>11235683I didn't have any issues with mine>>11235699Who did you buy it from? Seller is the first person you should contact
>>112356834th party from my experience is hit or miss. My 4th party Peru Kill has a ball joint for the head so it has more articulation, but not as solid feeling as UT.4th party LA Hire (UT LA Hire) was fucking garbage.

Good lord I love this figure but damn, how is it even time I pick it up a new problem pops up, the die-cast is oxidizing...
>>11237349isn't diecast oxidizing mean they fucked up severely
>>11237384YeahI think someone said it's a prelude to cracking
>>11237349Haunted mold. The chinese man that fell in the vat of molten metal cursed the production of this figure.
>>11236432Sorry, I haven't owned any Hot Wheels in decades. I do, however, own a pair of Hot Shots, and I think he's taken a liking to his new skates.
>>11237349That isn't the diecast oxidizing but the vac metal coating. Means the room is too humid or your hands are sweaty. You can remove the oxide with some white vinegar, after that clear coat over all the vac metal parts, including those that haven't oxidized.
>>11237442Perfection. And saved.
Going to sell my Black Apple Optimus before UT's comes out, but that has got me thinking, should I sell Aoyi Mech Megatron too? He's cool, but I'm not sure how likely a new mold or KO will come out.
>>11237577Nah I wouldn't do it unless you were going to use it to fund trading up towards the Newage Tanker Megatron.
>>11237349Is that the original one?
>paws me the controller bro
Welp, got my aliexpress order sorta. He changed the tracking fron a fake one to a real one and within a few days it arrived.New problem though. He only sent 2 out of the 3 things I ordered. So bro sorta scammed me.Also the two things I got are sticky and stink. Is that something I should be worried about? Should I throw them away? Are my fingers going to melt away from touching them? Surely bro wouldnt try poisoning me because I opened a dispute.
>>11238034The two things I recieved by the way. To the anon that bought these. Are you dying of cancer? Are you even still alive? Were these sticky and smelly for you too?
>>11238038No. Yes and very well. No.My buys are from various taobao sellers though. The only weird smells I get are fruity fragrances from the occasional reused fruit cartons. Was it water damage? Because there were a chain of hurricanes in Southern China around that time.
>>11238045No clue, he took forever sending this my way because he said they had to be made by a studio, so I assume these are pretty freshly done. Would that make them sticky? Ive never handled 3d printed stuff
>>11238059Maybe? They give off fumes during the printing, plus that minicon is painted. For mine, the taobao sellers had them physically in their inventory for at least a few weeks before i bought them.
>>11238062Can you link the taobao stuff? Never used that site
>>11238076https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=779054113186Here but not much point if you don't have, or know how to use a forwarding service. And if you already have an agent you might as well order directly from the makers on Xianyu like that ali store supposedly did, it's even cheaper there.
> Looking to buy old, unpopular MMC figure> eBay listing for $125 USD with $25 shipping is the cheapest option> Seller is Japanese, better check Mercari> Exact same listing; 6000 yen.Genuine question, why is there such a huge price difference between Japanese site listings and those sellers listings on English sites? To buy the JP listing through a service would end up costing me half as much as buying through eBay.
>>11238507Does that ebay account have like, hundreds of items all duplicated from mercari listings?
>>11238514Yep, that'd do it, the account has thousands of listings.Keen observation anon, thanks!
>>11238507Out of curiosity, which MMC we talking about?
>>11238527I've been looking to get Mastermind Creation's Dominus Ambus for a while now. It's been pretty impossible to find one at a low enough price since it's normally part of a set with their Nickel figure.
>>11238522What's with the sarcasm? You're the one asking. If a single shop has hundreds of 2nd-hand listings from another platform, it's a sure sign of a dropshipper.
>>11238535There wasn't any intention of sarcasm there?I genuinely never would have spotted that and it explains a lot about why I've seen routine price disparities when I look at JP listings on eBay.
>>11238535
>>11238551So it's really a dropshipper off mercari? I guess with the weak yen and 200% markup it does make sense.

Incoming undersized KO of UT Dino from an unknown company.17cm tall, accurate collar, extended chest sculpt, and articulated fingers. In my opinion this fixes all the flaws of the original.
>>11238670I assume this is a normal-sized MPM Bee and not upscaled
>>11238678Last pic for now. Apparently it’s releasing in January, and they confirmed it’s an “all-in-one deformation” (no partsforming for the new collar)

>>11238800KFC one actually looks awesome, though I'm wary of how it will turn out, so I'm waiting for reviews
>>11238800Based on nothing but what I can see in this picture; KFC
>>11238800Even excluding the deco, Takara's mold is obviously going for more of a toy look while KFC's is going for the show look. KFC's looks generally nicer to me with the cleaner abdomen and back, but I wish it had more molded details for the inevitable toy redeco.
>>11238800Put the hexagon pattern on Takaras windshield then it would be the perfect toy version. Both combined versions are tooner trash so it doesn't matter thigh though.
>>11238901how is the one on the right not toy based
>>11238800I know this is top tier autism, but I'm pretty tempted by Takara's Ginrai because its corresponding God Bomber comes with what looks like the best iteration of the Headmaster Juniors we've gotten thus far.
>>11238906Right's combined mode is accurate to Masterforce, left is accurate to Marvel.
I'm new to third party stuff. How often do KOs get reissued? I want to get the IT-02 Dinobot but basically the only options are like twice the price what it went for when it came out. I'm willing to pay that price because it's still not that bad (~$120), but it originally went for like $60 so I'm willing to wait a bit if I can save.

Anyone have this set? Just ordered it on a whim because I'll never own the CW Computron, and I'm curious what the bottoms of the feet look like. I doubt there are 5mm pegs but a man can wish. Definitely going to need to make some shoes for him
>>11239288Some Aliexpress vendors do offer him, but only boxless anymore and I'm a bit hesitant about that because aside from just liking to have boxes, in my experience Aliexpress vendors have their shit arrive mutilated to all hell so I wonder if a boxless option would run a pretty big risk of it arriving damaged.

I really hope this Diaclone Powered Convoy comes with the regular magnus head by the way, if not, it will be a very reluctant pass, as the Magnus Shattered Glass head is shit.
>>11242117Iron Romance has them beat. 40 Months for one figure with a one year delay between the expected and actual release. Trojan Horse will probably beat both of them if they aren't dead and actually release their Dinobot. As for the Magnus head, I'll just give him a sword and pretend it's Samurai Powered Convoy
>>11242156I didn't count them because it's very likely that Iron Romance is Iron Factory, as there have been hints that they are the same (numbering system picking up at the same point for their Rampage, very similar style, etc.).

I'm gonna be honest I got MP-10 over MP-44 because of the head sculpt alone. Yeah it's more accurate but there's something really off about it I don't like. In retrospect I probably should've went with TE-01 instead to get best of both worlds.
>>11244209Yeah I hate the sunbow Optimus head. It looks so fucking goofy
>>11244287I think MP-44 just has a shit sculpt of it desu. SS86 Optimus for example looks great IMO.
I was thinking about this earlier, maybe you guys who post the Baidu links to 3P news have some insight. In the past year or so, I've started listening to Aaron Archer's podcast as well as reading interviews with the current designers at Hasbro, and I've learned a lot about the toy business from them. It seems to me that it's such a niche industry to begin with, then when considering that these figures really only cater to a smaller faction within that already (assumably) small collector market, it's just sort of fascinating to me from a business perspective how pervasive and successful 3Ps are.My question is, do we have any insight into how 3P companies start and operate? Some of this may just come down to Chinese business practice, which I am wholly unfamiliar with, but I'd be interested in knowing the whole process. To me, a self admitted layman, the jump from say, designing a figure, to having molds made, figures assembled, packaging designed and produced, and having products shipped worldwide is massive. The costs involved have to be huge, and sure, that's obviously reflected in the price of these figures, but there has to be some serious talent involved in getting it all together. So are there any companies that we have a good picture of how they operate? What kind of staffing and background they have?It does occur to me that maybe some of this isn't as open and outward due to copyright concerns, but then again, this kind of information may be out there and it simply doesn't make it towards the West due to a cultural and lingual divide. Don't forget to hit me with a tldr, call me a fag, or some combination of the two.
>>11244102>>11244105>>11244109Part of Hasui's design philosophy for MP-10 is that it isn't accurate to either.MP-10 is the Optimus that is from your imagination as a child
>>11244666>MP-10 is the Optimus that is from your imagination as a childThat's one hell of an assumption.
>>11244666Which is how MP should be. Take all of the best aspects of the old designs to make the perfect figure. Hyper accuracy only leads to overcomplicated engineering and cheat parts.

>>11244902No, that's Optimus
>>11244638It's not that different production-wise just that most 3Ps are unregistered. They still need a lot of capital then everything else down the line can be outsourced, even the design work. Technically Hasbro themselves is outsourcing everything outside concept design to TOMY. >logisticsProbably the biggest difference with 3P. International distro seems mostly handled by the overseas stores individually.>this isn't as open and outward due to copyright concerns,It's not open because it's mostly a person-to-person connection thing. In China, you want to keep business connections ("Guan Xi") personal or else they'll totally fuck you over otherwise. In the context of toys that means selling your CADs or molds to the black market, which happened all the time with early 3Ps, see DX9 Hulkie and Gravity Builder. Because of this culture there is rarely need for the contractors to advertise openly. One exception was TFC's factories. They tried to open up to contracts outside their "circle" for a while but seemed to have reverted back to just CANG atm. Still their online portfolio might be of interest to you:http://www.jiyihechuang.com/
FT magnus transformation vid. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DjsyXlH-wPI>you have to rearrange his junk right out of the packaging.
>>11244954I thought the promo pics looked cool and I always love a magnus with a white prime, but this just looks like no fun at all. It's all flaps and hinges and panels. There's a fine line between flexing your engineering prowess and creating a fucking rube goldberg machine
>>11244983Yeah, when I saw all the work it took just to get non armored magnus head and arms transformed its just turned me off from transforming him myself. FT really need to stop over engineering their shit
>>11244983I personally don't get why the Prime body is complex really.44 is attempting to make a realistic cab despite the lack of license and FT doesn't give a shit about the cab, and yet their Prime is almost as complex.
>>11244983I dunno, I like complex designs like thisI’ve transformed many Optimus figures, having something transform differently is fun
>>11244989>>11244989>want simple fun transformations>buy FT stuffI don't know why you would follow FT at this point if you aren't expecting some abomination of a "explode into dozens of panels" transformation. If I want a fun time transforming something I'd probably go for an MMC figure or something instead.
>>11244954Yuck, I was excited for this at one point, but that video just shut down that hype. I guess Stack still will be my definitive Magnus.>>11244918Sunboptimus
heres your 3p gigastorm....https://weibo.com/2352651453/P23zEBE1u
In other news, they are making Scorpy too but Q3 next year.https://weibo.com/2352651453/P22s3vf7X
>>11245076
>>11245073I mean it's better than nothing, I guess. I never understood the love for Gigastorm given just how similar he is to Trypticon's deco.
>>11245076>>11245079ManI fuckingWant Lambos
>>11245076>>11245079ENOUGH WITH THE FUCKING CUBES
>>11244954Oh yeah, I can already tell this guy has 20 pounds of unnecessary die-cast in his massive boots to ruin his joint tolerances and tear apart those poor ratchets
>>11245208I will say their Galvatron is a massive brick of metal but surprisingly after all these years it's not really worn down that badly. That said I think it's because FT makes their stuff so cumbersome just so you don't try to play with it a whole lot or else you'll realize the flaws of the toys.
Anon, are there any scoops what's happening to these guys and why everything got pushed back so hard? Beside 'designers left' doom and gloom
>>11245361?You just posted a new pic, what do you even mean?
>>11245364there was some leaked controversy about designers abandoning project in august iirc, and since then two figures that were almost finished had no news and no releases, set right now is at 9 months since anything was released
>>11245195imagine hating fun
>>11245076>>11245079Give me my fucking Omega Cubreme already Dr. Wu, you teased it a year and a half ago for fuck's sake.
>>11245361So wait the brontosaurus is coming out next? I thought it was the pterodactyl?
>>11245824no one knows except Cang, but>Pterodactyl was unpainted prototype before they've stopped updating for several months>Triceratops is painted render iirc>Bronto is painted render also and supposed to release around june 2025I do not understand why pterodactyl painted prototype wasn't show off yet and what is happening to him
This is surprisingly really cool. Kinda wish I bought the overload now.
>>11245854where did you get the jetfire kit from
>>11245981Aliexpress, search 3D printed jetfire overload armada, and it should come up. Overload is slightly more expensive than the jetfire kit. Though it has its own robot mode, and can combine with Optimus' trailer for some OC form if you wanted to based on the pics the page has.The jetfire kit I'd absolutely recommend, has good posing, can even turn the waist unlike super mode. (Not to knock it, it's understandable why it cant)
>>11245987Found it, Thanks!
>>11245854How are the joints on that? Are they tight enough for posing?
>>11245830i guess someone there asked toohttps://weibo.com/7269915751/P2dPG2Lcz>>11245396only thing i can tell without digging into gossip is that they are busy making fleshy girl figures.
>>11246102Yeah, I'm no expert on the subject but they work well and can go into some pretty dynamic poses, and moving them around is buttery smooth, at least mine is. No fear of breaking it, or it flopping over when posing it around at all.
>>11243248Which 3P is that white one?
>>11246642Fantastic Model Margh. It's a component for the Magnus armor, you will get both armor and the Convoy unit.
>>11246758Where do I get the Optimus version?
Some OC colorhttps://weibo.com/2352651453/5105647203650209
>>11246941The Fantastic Model Optimus Prime version isn't out yet. I would recommend ShowZ, but The Chosen Prime or Toy Dojo also works well (assuming you are American). Though I'm not sure of the availability of the preorder but I'm certain you can the figure anyhow when the time comes.
>>11246956How far away do you think the release window for this guy is?
>>11247241Typical 3P release "window" is like from now till infinity
Got CraftsmanToys Nosecone today.I would say it is comparable to Cangtoys offerings.
I want this as an earth mode Megatron.
What's a good optimus prime if I want something that looks Sunbow, but isn't too complex transformation wise.I want something I can keep on a desk to play with.
>>11247856Legacy commander.
they fast-tracked the monke?https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9-GGpcoyPI
So did anyone else buy Light of Peace directly from the Magic Square website? If so, can the red paint on your copy also bleed onto the white bits? I bought him twice from Magic Square and it has the same problem. Like straight out of the box the arms were close to the legs, so I already have red paint marks on them. How do you clean it off?
>>11248850Use an eraser, worked for me.
Where the fuck is my oversized metallic Magmatron, TM2 KO was nearly a year ago. I don't buy hollow hashit.
>>11248892>It was that easyHoly shit it really worked, thanks fren!
>>11247856Legend size are a nice desk toy, try Magic Square or Newage. For Normal scale >>11247859 would be alright. Masterpiece Scale I would go with Magic Squares Ms-02 Light of peace.
>DX9 produced Red Storm>new design, the transformation between man and vehicle is clever and efficient, the reduction of chest and the absence of backpack are the highlights of this product
>>11249352Extremely tidy
>>11249357
>>11249361
>>11249364I’m a sucker for a plain red sports car that turns into a kibble-free and well articulated robot
>>11249371
>>11249379These thighs are THICK as hell and I think that really sells it for me.Too many Transformer legs just look to thin imo but this looks like a warrior to me.
>>11249352DX9 is still alive? I thought they died years ago.
>>11249379Muh gawd what a sexy beast. I can finally replace Mr. See-through knees
Does anyone have those fans hobby shield and sword minicon sets? Can the legacy armada figures hold them? Or are the only compatible with the fans hobby figures?
>>11249352Damn that's nice, can't wait for $175+ pricing.
>>11249669It’s probably going to ballpark for $120 because G1 tax.Now if it was FT, then yeah it would be that price.
>>11249352>>11249379change the turn signal from blue to silver and I might bite.
>>11247679I just put in an order for this guy. My first 3P figure since I think Striker Manus.
>>11249540Legacy can hold them, but both the sword and shield are too heavy for something like Legacy Starscream to hold.
>>11249540>>11249922Something like Legacy Overdrive can hold it way better because of the stronger shoulder joint she has, but I would still be concerned that it would eventually loosen it.I think if the arms have ratchets in the shoulders and elbows, they'll be fine.
>>11249844Prices are gonna climb with the coming tariffs. Expect $45+ increase on all third party not-yet-in-the states.
>>11249846I hope they do change that
>>11249922>>11249933Thanks. I was curious because I'm about to buy the overload to further deck out my Optimus and I figured if I got the shield, and maybe the sword too, he'd look even cooler. >>11245854 may skip the sword since he's got the jetfire gun but the shield will probably have him looking great.
