I know they won't, but it'd be cool if they scaled that Amy down so she's better sized.
>>
>>11229920
They won't. They are doing less and less new parts or figures each wave now which sucks.
>>
>>11229924
They gave Knuckles a new sculpt,so they might do the same for Amy and maybe Tails
>>

That's the stupidest argument ever. Are figures of characters with fur actually covered in fur? Do figures of characters that are made of water include a puddle of water inside the package?
>>
>>11229859
>The poster is a piece of paper too. It isn't even plastic.
That's pretty lame. Might try to find a flat piece of plastic roughly the same size and glue the paper to it. Only other thing I could think of is have this piece laminated.
>>
>>11229824
Lame
Wake me when they make a Nack figure (never)
>>
>>11229824
why does it only have the same key articulation as the 2.5" figure
are they this lazy they just scale up the 2.5" to 4" and call it a day?
>>
>>11231155
You could probably just use a piece of scotch tape on either side, save some effort. I think it being paper is kind of dumb, but mostly a non-issue.
>>
>>11230941
>Are figures of characters with fur actually covered in fur? Do figures of characters that are made of water include a puddle of water inside the package?
Some actually do. Ok, maybe not quite the water thing but you get what I mean. They're hollowed out plastic.
>>
>>11231155
Don't glue it. It might bleed through.
>>
>>11231256
Clear shipping tape works better, I done quite a few impromptu laminations that way. Just lay it down on the adhesive half of one piece and then press another piece on top so they stick together. Trim the edges when done, looks pretty good.
>>
>>11229876
>Modern Sonic variant that actually matters
Fucking FINALLY. This was all they needed to do to get me to buy more Sonics. Keep it up, make Riders/Black Knight versions too.

>>11229920
>>11229924
>>11230120
It's a shame, really. The new Knuckles they did was a massive improvement over the first one, if they just resculpted Amy's head and tried making her a little shorter she'd be great, they wouldn't even need to redo everything.
>They gave Knuckles a new sculpt,so they might do the same for Amy and maybe Tails
>They gave Nintendo characters new sculpts
I wouldn't hold your breath, they may have done new sculpts but Amy is also a girl, meaning that they're probably terrified of even re-releasing her. It took Jakks 10 fucking years to make Princess Daisy, and that was only after they made pretty much everything else. Except Rosalina. One of the most popular Mario characters. But she's a girl so obviously nobody is going to buy her, according to dumbass toy company suits.

Even so it requires one hand to be resculpted and one new accessory, and you get millions of autistic Sonic fans like me buying 90% of the same toy again just because it's from "muh childhood game".

It feels so bland because of the clean-slate mandates Sega put on it. Like Sonic can't cry but always wins and such. It's definitely more uniform by keeping only the main Sega characters, but we lose what remaining OC's were available previously. The same OC's that made Sonic's lore the most interesting, edge or not. Sure, there are new OC's now, but it's reduced to the "creator characters as seen in Forces" as extras alongside the handful of new ones

What you will need is one of these. You'll drill a small pinhole down the center of the broken peg a few mm deep, then on the other half you'll do the same. Next you'll need a pushpin or safety pin and clip the point off with some needle nose pliers to hold the end and a strong wire cutters to snip it off. Then do another cut the length needed to fill the holes in each half of the pieces. You'll apply glue to one end of the metal pin you just trimmed off and insert that end into the first hole you drilled, then apply a thin layer onto the plastic peg and and a bit on the exposed end of the pin. Push it in, line up the break and press it together. Let it dry for 24 hours and you should be good.

I just did this repair to the arm of my 2.5" Classics Metal Sonic a few days ago because his arm ripped off of the shoulder.

Some idiots who don't understand how toy production or retail buying works will swear they are real, but there is no fucking way Jakks would release such an odd assortment of figs from across all waves and with each one having such horrible QC. Chemical smelling plastic, broken figures in package, miscolored parts, using different plastics for parts than what Jakks always does them in, bad paint, lower quality package printing, joints that are insanely stiff to move, figures that fall apart with minimal force, etc. These are bootlegs and anyone who says otherwise is a fool.

Yeah. they're so cheap they're functionally bootlegs to begin with. I keep bitching about the paint because I can't find a figure online I want that doesn't have really obvious paint mistakes like it getting smeared on the wrong parts of the character entirely.
>>
>>11238983
>what if they're not bootlegs but rather shitty production batches that were re-purposed to avoid just throwing that shit out?
No, these parts were made using new molds. Why would Jakks make new molds that are shitty in every way and then continue through production with all the other shitty things and inaccuracies? SEGA wouldn't allow official Jakks figures to have the incorrect blue from Sonic, or the incorrect emerald color either.

Fuck, bootlegs have infiltrated walmart pegs. be careful out there anons.
>>
>>11239152
Not to add fuel to whatever argument is going on but I'm actually pretty sure THIS one isn't a bootleg. Long before these showed up I noticed some Sonics have their eyes painted poorly. Mostly that second version of Sonic with the toothy grin though.
The ones people are claiming are bootlegs have noticeably worse paint overall, and some nasty looking plastic bits on joints that the better looking Jakks ones don't have
>>
>>11239152
Oh nooo!!!! It's almost like none of them are bootlegs!!
>>
>>11238475
These are factory rejects, not bootlegs. There's no market for high detailed jakks sonic figures. Also a nationwide retailer will not be buying bootlegs to put in there stores. Cheap ass generic crap, yes. An IP that could get you sued, not likely.

As said any times before, Ross has always carried bootlegs. They've had bootleg Pokemon figures for years. So why is it so hard to believe they'd not start carrying Jakks Sonic bootlegs too?

Plus Jakks will not willing sell, nor would Sega allow them to sell incorrect figures. Sonic is the wrong color all together, before even taking all the horrible quality issues into account.
>>
>>11239152
Why are all sonic people so dumb an uninformed? These are not bootlegs, my god. They are the solid cases of Sonic with spring figures that Walmart has exclusively been getting for a few years now.

This was even the only 4" Sonic figure shown in their holiday toy ads this year.

Here's a YouTuber that compared the boxes and figures. They really do look like bootlegs and I want them. I'll have to visit Ross tomorrow.

Wow, I can't imagine why

They only made him cause he's in the newest Shadow game.

To all the people saying these are factory rejects or whatever.... No. That's not even how it works. If figures coming off the production line are shitty in every way like these, they stop the fucking production and fix the issues. They don't go ahead and move forward with producing thousands and thousands of figs they know are shitty. And they definitely don't then go and package them up, knowing they are shitty and then send them to stores.

Besides, these are literally different molds that had to have been made from scratch, and different plastics too. And you really think Jakks is going to intentionally use blurry logos and crappy print quality on the package too? Come on guys.

This whole thread seems to be just two retards fighting on if sonic stuff is bootleg or not, wheres the real factory located as a question
>>
>>11239498
That's infamous sonic autism for you.
The better question is where the fuck all mariotards? This thread called /Jakks Pacific video games general/ and yet there's literally zero mario discussion.
>>
>>11239495
Glossy spring and clear emerald are so tempting
>>11239502
Mario doesn't even have bootlegs yet. Even since that had a movie too. now that's strange
>>
>>11233028
not Penders but still pretty bad
>>
>>11236312
Wal-Mart has a special case assortment that is ONLY Modern Sonic. If you look at the backs of the package they don't have other characters on them. They sometimes get the regular cases but mostly they get their unique ones.

For everyone else, cases are packed with 1 of each character, and the rest are all Sonics. So if one person goes in and buys every character in one go, then those Sonics build up. Maybe a second case gets put out; they get snapped up too. So now you have two full cases of Sonics sitting on the shelf, and the store doesn't need to put out any others, because to them, those are full pegs of Sonic toys - they don't see them as different characters.

Modern Sonic wearing the SA2 shoes makes me irrationally angry. This faker does not have the sauce
>>
is it just me or is the sonic movie figs some of the best figs on planet earth right now?
>good price
>good durability
>good weight
>good sculpt
>good articulation
>good gimmick (mario movie eyes)
i just got knuckles and im extremely pleased
if i was ever swinging from the gallows and i had 5 seconds with my life flashing before my eyes, fuck thinking about my wife or what my kid is going to grow up to be, my last thought before i slip away would be how jakks did a great job here on these damn figs
>>
Picked up weredragon yesterday, kinda floppy compared to werewolf but its a big toy. Im hoping roo is still around so i can grab it too, but im curious as who else was in this wave/case. Is it metal virus sonic?
>>
>>11239678
I can't find either Weredragon or Roo in Maryland. It's just the same-old Werewolf, Axel, and Ai Ai. I want the last three GONE from my Walmart stores.
>>
>>11239655
Western Sonic media is always better than japslop and consequently produces better merch.
>>
>>11239775
I found a lone metal virus sonic at the Columbia store last week but nothing else from the wave. It was weird.
>>
>>11239775
Same here, I want him so bad.
>>
>>11239813
>>11239775
I didn't find Roo neither, but I found his nephew: Scrappy Roo
>>
>>11239775
Its just one case at one store, otherwise its just what you described except the nintendo peg got refilled. Aiai is choking things out like kudzu and i doubt id grab one on clearance so i just think it was a poor call for a figure.
>>
Where can you find the 2.5 inch mario figures? Walmart used to have them in the check out, but they aren't there anymore.
>>
>>11239825
Maybe if it was 2 monkeys in a set I'd be ok with it

i bought some chink stands for cheap for all my figures and man they're garbage
like sure they were $4 each but they suck, can't hold the weight of any of my figures except movie sonic, i bought 9 of them for all my figures lol
is there any way to add weight to it besides just putting random shit on top?
>>
>>11239954
Aren't those the ones you just tighten at each joint?
>>
>>11239655
But >>11236176
>>
>>11240143
There seem to mostly only be reports of Shadow's legs breaking off the hips joint. I bet that hip barbell joint had some defect that is making it a weak spot. I don't think there's been much other wide spread reports of issues beyond that

Some of the Walmarts moved them to that area near the cards. It kind of varies by Walmart. It maybe worth checking there.
Target still has them, but they may skip waves randomly. CVS Pharmacy and Walgreens sometimes carry them. Joan Fabrics sometimes has them. I think Michaels and Hobby Lobby may have them too sometimes, but not sure on that.
>>
>>11239502
Mario autism is rare to compete with Sonic tism, only case I can think of is Moviebob
>>
>>11240195
Target is sporadic and skips many waves at a time, CVS/Walgreens/other places are even more so. Meijer is the only consistent retailer who carries almost all the 2.5" waves, but they're regional so if you're not near one, you're kinda screwed.

Still waiting on the rest of my FUCKING Koopa Kids! Two left...fucking TWO LEFT. Come -on- Jakks!

yep, each one has a small nut and a small screw you tighten, but even at the tightest it doesn't support shadow
i ended up using the box of the simpsons family set i had as support since shadow kept tipping over
all i wanted these figures for was to do the sa2 pose since the statue they released of that was way too expensive and the regular 4 inch jakks ones don't have much articulation
i ended up getting the bum leg shadow i posted earlier in the thread >>11236176

i have a shit ton of 2.5 inch figures, some 4 inch sets and most of the movie figures, but i've posted photos of them on the mario vg general.
i'd only post more if they released a two pack of geno and mallow (which will never happen in my lifetime unless nintendo buys the rights off square entirely), maybe some m&l characters, but as it stands, the mario jakks line is very "safe" compared to the sonic line.
you have mephiles, metal sonic 3.0 which was just a skin on a shitty psp game, several of the hard boiled heavies, mighty and ray, etc.
here's my mario stuff save for some extra figures i got last week, which were a chain-chomp, and three of the mario kart 8 deluxe mcdonald's karts that released recently
>>
>>11240303
I really wanted that Hotwheels movie van but I couldn't find it fucking anywhere.
>>
>>11239804
Wal-Marts in Maryland are on some b.s. to give a BUCKETLOAD of those 'Sonic 3' movie acton figures, but NOT for the Weredragon and Roo.
>>
>>11239863
Walmart Marketplace might still have them on checkout lanes. Target still regualrly gets the cared versions but only order maybe 2 cases per store until the next wave. Ollies and Ross are getting some at random stores. Picked up Waluigi at Ollies last month.
