Behold! The most powerful Decepticon -- Macromaster!
So I guess no poster art for Age of Primes until 2025?
I like nu Quake.
>>11237172Who can defeat a robot powered by Super Gasoline Z-1?>>11237182You're a retard. That mold wasn't any good as Skullgrin and it's even worse frankensteined into Quake.
>>11237188>throwing a tantrum>acting like a spoiled child
>>11237150Maybe even the orange tiger color, since not everyone may have been able to get that one at WalMart.
>>11237195With 40 years of engineering and dozens of actually good Tanks made in that timeframe, Quake's alt mode has zero excuse other than "We took this toy that people already felt had a crap alt-mode and made a somehow even worse alt mode". Asking for an alt-mode to actually look like a tank, let alone be good isn't being spoiled, it's a baseline expectation when it comes to transformers. And it's not like good tanks haven't been made before in Deluxe class before, Pretty much every single one of these has at least one mode better than Quake does, most of them both.
>>11237164>New thread on page 9 or 10, or at image limit
>>11237215>h tanks >goodOpinion immediately discarded
>>11237172see that's what i'm talkin about. all those components make nice joints.
>>11237246H tanks are fine, especially in the context of Transformers where they're alien robots. Plus you get some cool Sci-fi designs from H-Tanks like Mammoth tanks or the Siege tank from starcraft. I'd rather an H tank over whatever the fuck this thing is supposed to be
>>11237280And before you go "If the alien tank reasoning can let H-tanks slide, then surely it can let Quake's slide too!", no it fucking doesn't. None of the tanks posted above have the entire upper half of the robot mode sticking out with the arms exposed and a huge gap for where the shoulders pop out form. Skullgrin's alt-mode isn't much better, but at least it gets the excuse of "That's sorta like what the original toy looked like". Quake's G1 toy is probably one of the best looking G1 tanks out there, with only Brawl's coming anywhere close, and it looks nothing like the Legacy toy.
>>11237280Pretty good tank mode for a Convoy.
>>11237215It's insane they used Skullgrim's garbage toy. Quake is a basic bitch tank. How the fuck could they not make a toy out of it, then reuse it for someone else?
>>11237295Is this some new level of Autism that I’m unaware of
How does this thread feel about these? Honestly great for the pricepoint. Elita has legs for days
I like h tanks
Got my commander Optimus in.He's fine. Doesn't blow me away but he isn't bad. It's crazy he doesn't have double jointed elbows for how easily it could have been implemented. He's also really wiiiiide, but I already knew that fron promo pics. Would have been nice if he was a little slimmer, especially since he's supposed to be emulating Optimus's screen appearance. The red on the legs was painfully avoidable, the edges of that piece are hidden in vehicle mode.
>>11237340He poses well, not really fond how far the waist hangs over his crotch plate when the waist is rotated, but that isn't really avoidable with his substantial girth. Some upward shoulder movement would have also been fantastic to go with the forward and back butterfly. He could use some forward and back movement in his ankles too, but maybe I'm asking too much for a 90 dollar hasbro release.
>>11237280i will tolerate H-tanks as long as the limbs really transform and don't just pop out a foot or handand it would be nice if they could move independently so you can justify it being an H-tank.
>>11237338>Hey Baaaaaaby, I like H-tanks too!>Why dontchu hop on and let's go forra ride
The matrix chamber is really sad though, it would have been better as a single grey insert piece instead of the red nylon blob we have here.Maybe they'll release a 200 dollar premium edition with better build quality next.
>>11237172
>>11237329Very cool models. No idea why Elita's face is white instead of metallic like the others, though.
>>11237294>>11237280Quake pisses me off more than skullgrin desu. At least one of them isn't pretending to be some sort of actual earth tank.
>>11237294As someone who actually really likes Legacy Skullgrin, I can't help but wish that the tank looked closer to it's appearance in Masterforce. I don't like how the Legacy one doesn't have the cockpit looking part in the front and how short the cannons are.
>>11237195There was an anon in the last thread who had a hissy fit because I bought and liked Quake and Slipstream. Maybe the same guy, who knows. The autism of a lot of TF fans is pretty hard to take.
>>11237363>QuakeI'm more of a Quisp man.
>>11237329They look much better as toys rather than cg models i'll say that
>>11237329kinda thinking of picking them up now that i watched the movie desu.
I'm probably the only person who cares, but I kind of hope Hasbro makes multiple variants of the ONE seekers and make it easy to swap parts between them.
>>11237399Wait for your turn, I'm still waiting for ER Skywarp and Thundercracker reissues
>>11237403I'd rather they make new ones, ER seekers sucked.
>>11237338Armada megatron is so good...
I got Legacy United G1 Optimus at Gamestop for $10I guess the trade-off for the two rifles, matrix, and axe was the shrinkage and more colored plastic with less paint.
>>11237438oof
>>11237340>>11237343>>11237347But do you like it more or less than Earthrise Optimus?
So to anybody tired of G1 toys, what would you rather haveClassics/Universe-esque takes on existing characters, or entirely new characters not based on existing ones?
>>11237455Both
>>11237455The former is just the later but lazier with names.
>>11237455Im not tired of g1 toys and in fact I am glad we're finally getting toys that are based off the original g1 era designs without any weird gimmicks boggling them down (looking at you prime wars trilogy) But I would like entirely new characters instead of pre-existing ones created in a toyline. Established characters can still be made but are not the main focus.
>>11237450When Dramatic Capture comes out I want to take a picture of it, Studio Series, and Volvo all T-posing dominance over Earthrise.
>>11237347>Maybe they'll release a 200 dollar premium edition with better build quality next.I am never paying titan class prices for a voyager class chug figure that comes with an empty plastic box with wheels.
>>11237460>But I would like entirely new characters instead of pre-existing ones created in a toyline.Technically we have been getting those, but the problem is they're always gimmicks, like the Fossilizers or whatever those rocklord things are supposed to be.
>>11237450More. Earthrise Prime feels extremely wibly and cheap and I hate the way his waist is designed. Commander prime in no way FEELS cheap. The figure feels great, it's just that he's covered in mold lines, flash, mold release scratches and several stress marks. I'll take all that any day over my weightless earthrise soapbottle. Not having the hideous grey panels on the inside of his legs is also another win tor the commander Prime. Earthrise Prime is ass. The only thing that I can say is an honest downgrade is the matrix chamber.
>>11237455There's a whole sea of designs to pull from in very late G1/Euro G2, a whole wave based on Action Masters would be hella based.
>>11237455i just want more beast guys
>>11237474yeah those don't count. i want characters, with personalities and traits
>>11237455I'm not really tired of G1 toys, I'm just tired of getting the same characters over and over again. We've gotten so many G1 Bumblebees, Ironhides and Ratchets, Springers, etc, that the franchise just feels like it's spinning its wheels. There are plenty of fun and unique G1 characters that have yet to be touched, some of which haven't gotten a figure since the 80s. And I'm also tired of getting G1 figures with big flaws or compromises that bring down toys that would otherwise be near perfect. Bad paint applications, QC issues, early yellowing, design flaws, and bad alt modes have been common occurrences for the last few years. We should have gotten a G1 Quake with both a good bot mode and a good tank mode, and now we probably won't get another attempt for a decade at the least. Meanwhile we'll probably get another dozen G1 Bumblebee toys in that decade, if not more.
>>11237491>There are plenty of fun and unique G1 characters that have yet to be touchedSuch as?
>>11237497
>>11237483But anon, think of the amount of money they'd have to spend translating bios into OTHER LANGUAGE!
>>11237251It was a bitch to finagle, though. Kinda disappointed I couldn't think of a better use of Fasttrack's arms than to help balance the torso.
>>11237500Spinister repaint
>>11237497NTA, but Paddles, who has never received an official toy. Also, while he's actually a G2 character, I'd like to see a modern Turbofire - he, Jazz and Blue Grimlock were the first three Transformers I ever owned, all received on the same Christmas. As is such, those three hold a special place in my heart, and while I own SS86 Jazz, both SS86 and "G2" Grimlock (plus a 3rd party blue Grimlock by NewAge), Turbofire has nothing and seems to have been largely forgotten in both official and 3rd party circles.
>>11237503sure and it has some awkward parts, but if they made stuff INTENDED to do that, it could look great
Im just waiting for a new 86 cliffjumper so we can finally put that shitty earthrise figure to rest.
>>11237508>Magenta, Teal, and RedPeculiar color scheme but it works
>>11237497The big ones are:>Series Five Headmasters (Siren, Nightbeat, Hubcab) and Powermasters>>The last wave of cassettes (Slugfest, Overkill, plus the Grand Slam and the Ape/Parrot)>>Horribull plus a mass release Squeezeplay and Fangry >>Octane to complete the Decepticon triple changers>>The rest of the Decepticon and Autobot Pretenders
>>11237241The old thread WAS at image limit, silly.
>>11237611yep, you followed orders! good job.
>>11237613I didn't even make this thread, just wondering why it's being bitched about when the thread was made at image limit.
>>11237614Force of habit trauma response from how it was handled for a bit, if I’m guessing right. But the bad man is now retired don’t worry
>>11237615Y'know, they could probably pull this guy off by redecoing and giving a new head sculpt to the new Armada Starscream...
>kapow had 86 prime restocked for less than an hour before selling out>missed it
Are they doing an Octane next year?
>>11237455Signal LancerThe answer will always and forever be Signal Lancer
>>11237715Left is DX Sky Braver, what's on the right?
>>11237745Sky Gallop from Metal Cardbot S next year.
In G1 design, pls
Drone mode
>>11237782Gimme a hug
Legacy is a bit heavier Both heads are about even heightLegacy stands better
>>11237783BM Vehicon vibes
>>11237852Can you switch the heads?
>>11237852They they put as much work on new parts for Legacy Slipstream and had a better head, it would be a no contest thing.
>>11233352What trailer is this, even?
>>11237903Trailer's from Cyberverse then re-released in Earthspark. Then TT brought it over to JP, gave it a premium paintjob and the correct ES version of Warrior class OP. The Japanese version even has a PLASTIC WINDOW box.
>>11237900Probably.I'm not gonna try it because the ball pegs are small.
>>11237782>6 nov>bought quake on amazon for a discounted price of 17usd or so>18 nov>still not shippedngmi
>>11237974Well at least it didn't get lost in transit.
>>11237782>>11237783actually looks better than the regular altmode desu
>>11237614that line isn't for bitching, it's part of the OP that this guy is deliberately leaving out because he used to break it.
>>11238021>that this guy is deliberately leaving out because he used to break it.He isn't, because I didn't make this thread. I don't make threads anymore. But it is pretty pathetic that even when your boogeyman stops making threads, you STILL get mad over autistic, needless shit not cluttering up the OP.
>>11237782>>11237783
>>11237355yeah, this is my biggest complaint about him.I'm still of the opinion he was designed as a mold share with IDW bludgeon, but then they got the go ahead for tarn and decided he'd work better as a tarn repaint.he transforms almost EXACTLY like IDW bludgeon does, and it's a pretty far cry from the original concept art in the design sketches too.
>>11237164Still no transmetals (aside from II Megatron) from the official line since the war for cybertron releases of the base beast wars characters? I guess it’s a pipe dream?
>>11237782Why do dis reminds me of ED 209?
>>11238052You know, that makes more sense than I thought it would.
>>11238066yeah, especially when you consider the shape of his canons, and the interesting choice to make them separate instead of being his arms, giving him an abnormal amount of weapons for a deluxe.and also how in his robot mode, the two barrels stick straight up like bludgeon.
>>11238066>>11238069I wonder if this original Bludgeon would've also used the armor/shell gimmick they wanted for Skullgrin
>>11238063we should probably enjoy a break. the future is shit, we can either get garbage toys and overpay and then have to sell them for food and water later, or just save up and then our money will be worthless anyway
>>11237351Yeah, odd choice. But it's very easy to take apart to paint.>>11237391Great action figures as well>>11237396At least get Bee, he is the best out of them
>>11238105torsos matter
Once again I have been cursed with a solid blotch of paint on one of my figures' eyes. What can I do?
>>11238151show a pic first to see how bad it is
>>11238163It's hard to pick up on camera, but I'll see what I can do.
>>11238151Can it be disassembled? Any fix will be easier if you can disassemble it.
>>11237782>>11237783grats, you finally made me interested in picking one up.
>>11238163>>11238171Hot Rod is easy enough to see, it looks like he's always crying.Starscream has very red eyes, so the blotch does not show up well on camera. Artistic interpretation included.
>>11238182Oh, and please pardon my dust. I have like five air purifiers and it still isn't enough to catch all that damn dust.
>>11238151Lol
>>11238182>had his head scalped>surprised he's about to cry
>>11238182>Painted eyesWell that one is a rough time if you try and fix it, it's not nearly as bad as i expected since it's the same color at least.you ordered from a store? could always ask for them to swap the figure if you really can't live with the defect
>>11238200I can live with it. But its happened twice now and I figure I might as well learn how to fix it if its just gonna keep happening.
Post some old Transformers you've bought recently. My surprisingly great experience with getting the original Sideburn (the Legacy figure was just so disappointing) urged me to get X-Brawn. He is jank as hell, especially his left arm, and I absolutely love him. I'd have bought Prowl too but I've read too many horror stories about his car doors/skirt flaps breaking.
>>11238203probably worth asking the custom thread in that case, especially if you sand off the paint too much and you end up needing to repaint the eye
>>11238207Ach. Hopefully not. If teary-eyed Hot Rod and eye-mole Starscream continue to bother me, I'll give the custom thread a visit. Let's hope the SS86 Optimus I ordered doesn't carry the curse.
Toot! my Blaster belly buttons yellowed while his other grey parts are fine, did they used 2 different grey plastics is yellowing really that random?
>>11238244The grey nylon parts are gang molded with Eject's joints I think. Have your Eject's grey parts yellowed too?
>>11237164Retard question here.If i wanted a Grimlock which is the one people like best?
>>11238264shattered and g2
>>11238264Like, just plain Grimlock? The Studio Series leader class is the best all around pick these days.
>>11238151paint of the correct color on the tip of a mechanical pencil, and a magnifying glass
Thoughts on Pyro? His G1/G2 toy is pretty fun
>>11238307Never had him. Very bright colors in your photo.
>>11238307he looks like his arms, groin, feet and cannons are all raring to crumble to bits
>>11238307Cool color and look but gold plastic syndrome fucked him over
>>11237729agreed, ever since i saw his badass transformation I've wanted a toy, hell I'd take 3rd party atp
>>11238204I just bought a Universe 2.0 Inferno for £16. Looking forward to him arriving, he looks like a really fun, cool block of a toy.
>>11238204We love Energon
>>11238348*Yes I know they're Cybertron, I meant getting high on Energon as SUBSTANCE but I should have clarified cause I know somebody will be a smartass
>>11238351Maybe you should get a bunch of cube props.
>>11238351Better to be a smartass than a dumbass.Dumbass.
>>11238204X-brawn was my first transformer at 5 years old. I managed to get all the new mold autobots from that line and Sky-bite at the time, it's amazing how well they aged, both in engineering and durability.
whats a good 3p ss blitzwing? is there such a thing? cause listings on ebay for blitzwing are like 150
>>11238395All 3p blitzwing are either masterpiece or legends scale atm, so there's gonna be a price gap no matter what
>>11238373https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhsVpvM2ZrM
>>11238409looks like that thing that ate Carl
>>11237215Just found out about this Megatron. Probably my favourite H tank and my favourite Megatron tank mode. He looks properly powerful, like a piece of artillery
>>11238407fuck
MPM-4 reissue when
>>11238435Buy up all the Legacy Blitzwings already so they can announce the brand new SS86 and/or Devastation mold.
>>11238433I refuse to believe people unironically think this looks good
>>11238433torsoswhere are they
>>11238439lol
>>11238441I mean the long-legged bot mode is rough, but it's a cool tank. Doubly so if the turret can spin 180.
What are the chances of a McDonalds Panther? Or a McDonalds Rhino?
>>11238433Pisses me off that they made this Megatron and Optimus deluxes instead of making their middle D-16 and Orion cog designs deluxe and saving these for voyager
>>11238450thats the kind of dumb exclusive that was made for botcon, wouldn't count on them ever now unfortunately
>>11238457I see.How does one sculpt fur? ROTB Cheetor's transformation is pretty much perfect for McPanther.
>>11238433>tip of cannon comes off to become a second gunclever>>11238450man that would be awesome..>>11238468yeah!!! reuse that mold! come on hasbro, do it! show some balls.which cheetor?
>Got United Metalhawk>Mushroom peg on one shoulder just sheers off after getting it out of the box.Of course. My QC luck continues.
>>11238489that is ass. i'm sorry about that.you gonna attempt a repair? I feel like a mushroom peg is uniquely ready to have just like a tiny eyeglasses screw shoved into a pre-drilled hole and it just holds the head on the peg
>>11238490Nope, unlike Cyclonus, that entire shoulder area is filled with pins, repairing it would mean tons of pin pushing in painted areas and some use one way pins that are harder to remove.
>>11238493just to get the sheared-off mushroom peg head back on its shaft?
>>11238182Corneal Ulchtar
>>11238497
>>11238264Most people will say regular 86 Grimlock, but for me it's G2/Toxitron Grimlock. I love that guy, one of my favorites in my whole collection.
>>11238182starscream's almost looks like marbling in the plasticrodimus would not bother me without a magnifying glass.
>>11238509reddit, a very gay website, is gay.More news at 11.
>>11238487>which cheetor?The Studio Memes one.
>>11237164>ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS STAY OUT OF MY WAY>NOW LOOK AT WHAT YOU'VE DONE!>YOU HAVE SINGLEHANDEDLY TRAUMATIZED MILLIONS OF CHILDREN WITH MY DEATH!>WHAT WILL YOU HAVE IN 40 YEARS WHEN THEY ALL GROW UP?>"100s... of optimus prime... figures...."
>>11238516ah. well the transformation would be right, but otherwise I dunno about that. he really looks more like a Proailurus or something. the feet just aint right, he loses all catness.
>>11238494Yep, I know from trying to use the white bits from Metalhawk on Cyclonus, swapping the hands and white bicep area is just way too much hassle between those molds.
>>11238524The beast mode is kind of weird, now that you mention it. I'll have to check some reviews.
>>11238204These are my newest old boys There's something to the way a new-to-you G1 toy handles that tickles meLike, I'm sure most of us are very familiar with HasTak's bag of tricks in 2024, but messing with stuff from before they had the formula ironed out is fascinating I may have over payed for Octane but got Sludge for a hella deal. Then I bought him bew stickers
>>11238182Reminds me of how I had Legacy Kickback in package for months hemming and hawwing about refunding him because he had a huge paint blemish on his visor... and then when I finally took a photo realized it wasn't a blemish, but a plastic shaving that just rested on his visor and it brushed right off.
>>11238264Comic Grimlock is still available from Hasbro Pulse and comes with swords and a crown. Unfortunately the G1 toy accurate Grimlock Sword comes with Swoop for some reason.
>>11238540>for some reasonThe reason is that some idiot thought it was better to put an unarticulated Wheelie to ride on his back than include his sword.
>>11238544>some idiotWas it Sam or Mark?
>>11237182Same and I love Skullgrin
>>11237215Everyone ask for Tanks, but nobody says "you're welcome"
>>11238529i like the other cheetor, who actually gets a gun, albeit a tiny one.
>>11238544I meant with comic Grimlock who comes with every other G1 sword that wasn't issued with it's character as well as a comic accurate Grimlock sword but not his G1 toy sword.
>>11238550Nothing wrong about it but I wanted to use the Studio Series because it has the same kibble distribution as McPanther.>>11238553Oh, that.
>>11238553Also, now Snarl is the only dinobot who doesn't have a red sword, so I'm sure they'll find a dinobot repaint to stick that in with, and perhaps a gun.
>>11238558considering how kinda awkward Panther was, maybe i'm okay with thati just want more beast guys and fun recolors and OCs.
Cope kit for coal retool
>>11237182I wish he wasn't using the skullgrin mold and turns into a plastic lasagna with guns. Also missing the iconic lightning bolts. He's just in this C tier for me. Like I don't hate it, but he's not great either just OK.Slipstream is slightly better, but wasn't someone making a 3p head?
>>11238553And for reasons that we'll never know, the crown and swords are made of rubbery plastic. Made even more ridiculous when Swoops swords were hard plastic.
>>11238652beauteefulcan he still transform without partsforming?
>>11238652honestly curious about this since I almost bought the toy hax set.
>>11238656probably not given how big the shoulders pads are + being slip ons
>>11238658Ditto
>>11238659where do the shoulders go vanilla
>>11238661
>>11238662oh yeah that's not happening
Every remake of a TF Cybertron has left me thinking "Why not just buy the old toy?" and Legacy Vector Prime is no exception. And I like that mold.
>>11238654>for reasons that we'll never knowIt's really not that big of a mystery. They were an afterthought, printed using the cheapest material Hasbro had in-hand purely to bait people who had already voiced their dislike for the comic-style paint jobs into buying Grimlock anyway.
>>11237338Galvatron has the better look imo>>11237729There has been a rise of third party UT stuff, hopefully one day hell be real
>>11238664OG's America release was worse than Japan's, and it's been 20 years since the original released so they're starting to show their age. I'd love a reissue, but he's not Optimus so it's unlikely.Honestly, the main reason for a new one is the design with more articulation, the original was almost a brick. The fact they did such a piss poor job is baffling whe Vector has such a simple transformation, making him a retool was a mistake.
>>11238671Oh and the fact Vector had alt decos and they can release that mold as The Last Autobot as well.
>>11238671The original is not a brick, its fineThe new one has more joints but its so dogshit it nullifies anything good going for it
>>11237455New characters. Or old characters with totally different designs and the same head, I don’t care. The old toys were fun because they’re designed toy first for maximum fun, then the character is built around that. Slavish dedication to preexisting show/ movie designs leads to fiddly, unfun toys.
>>11238307You just know they'll repaint Laser Optimus as this guy but with a new trailer.
>>11238681i wish they would start designing guys after a clever transforming mechanism they've come up with
>>11238433>H tankThats a U tank
>>11238696that's a Thundertank!
>>11238664Good luck finding the old toy in good condition and for a good price. I don’t feel like buying a sealed Cybertron Optimus for $200.
>>11238664For me Starscream's great, VP is a good articulated alternative, Cannonball and Hotshot feel like sidegrades at most. Not sure if I'll pick up Metroplex and Override yet.
>>11238652>no minicon>have to partsform everythingpretty lame to be desu
>>11238652>>11238740If they wanted to retool Jhiaxus for a Cybertron character, it should've been Jetfire. But since the next theme is "Age of the Primes", does that mean they'll have to do another Vector Prime? And they could retool or recolour it as a Cybertron variant?
>>11238669So I've noticed. I know there's a thread for 3P toys but I'd be lying if Fans Hobby's minicon teams hasn't had me sweating.
Not even a big plush guy but I kinda want the plushes of the constructicons in a chibi form and without the goofy faces (except maybe :) or :3)
>>11238519>Implying Prime ever blamed Hot Rod>Implying Hot Rod ever did anything wrongMegatron was about to try some shit. Prime hesitated. The fight should have been over already but Prime's benevolence was a double-edged sword. Hot Rod acted in good intention and faith. It's a war. There will be casualties.
>>11238795Even better if they have Devastator printed on their backs and Velcro patches to stick together
Wee woo wee woo
>>11238822WOOWOOWOOWOOWOO
>>11238822Skid Alert?
>>11238822So between this and that maybe-Prima do HasTak just have a lot of orange plastic lying around for prototypes?
>>11238838could be stale cheese
>>11238822What am I looking at
>>11238848RED ALERTWOOWOOWOOWOO
>>11238822Wee wee in your woo woo.
>>11238822Awww I love that he still has his little flip up gun
>>11238822>it's not a skids retool
>>11238822Will it come with his Minicon though... finding one for Starscream was already difficult.
>>11238652>Doesn't cover the wires everyone complained aboutWhat the fuck
>>11238803Hot Rod could have shoot from a distance with his forearm exhaust blasters to prevent Megatron from getting the gun instead of just jumping in the middle of it all like an idiot.
>>11238822The car mode is spot on, hopefully the robot mode looks nice enough, such a cool design, even more so knowing that he was based on robocop
>>11238822This is a big 'I told you so' for those who kept saying the new Armada Red Alert would be using the Cannonball Skids retool because he's a Voyager so why would he be a deluxe class repaint to begin with?
>>11238893I mean in fairness it's a consistent thing with Transformers that they seem to forget they have projectile weapons and go in for the punches for style points or whatever.
>>11238910Could have been an excuse to include his mini-con, but I'm glad that's not the case. Mini-Cons should just become the new Core class if they're not willing to make a nice collection of Core figures (which they aren't) and just continuously create new and referential mini-cons.
Godzilla Megatron (Megzilla?) is up for pre order on Hasbro Pulse if you're a Premium member.Releases August 31st.
>>11238929This should have been an easy slam dunk, but Takara had to go full lazy with it. SKIPPED
>>11238932I agree, but its Godzilla, I can't help it.
>>11238932I know they love using only Megatron and Optimus for crossovers, but not using Grimlock was just stupid.
>>11238929I ordered him from HLJ weeks ago.>>11238932Only got him to go with my Signal Flare. It's a shame - if they had kept him Grimlock (or went with an OC) and put a bit more effort into him (make HIM the Kiryu reference, not Laser Prime, and give him some back fins), he could've been perfect.
>>11238934>>11238943Retards
>>11238934Saying "it's Godzilla" isn't a reason to accept extreme mediocrity. The only retooling this figure got has nothing to do with Godzilla. It's just a charcoal tyrannosaurus. That's not Godzilla.
>>11238945Oh, relax. Besides the backstory is pretty neat.
>>11238939There's like 4 or 5 T-rex characters in Transformers they could've used that are more appropriate than G1 Megatron for a Godzilla crossover, and one of them is also fucking named Megatron.
I think the godzilla megatron is okay kinda. My main issue with it is the robot mode head. I just do not like the fact at all, I wish they went with something else.
>>11238885Is this the actual one or some 3d printed one?
>>11238971Its Megatron, they kinda had to.
Near complete Victory cast.
>>11238971>>11238975It's not Megatron, they used Sludge's toy head. I'm we even see it when the designers showed off concepts of the toy. They should have at least done some retooling there.
>>11238984What the fuck are you talking about? No they didn't.
>>11238932>Godzilla got shafted worse by officials vs fucking chinaSad
>>11238991You fucking retard. Did you even read?
>>11239004Yes, I read. Do you have eyes? That doesn't look like Sludge's toy head.
It doesn't matter what the motif for the alternate head is you two are arguing about is. The important thing is that is a terrible Megatron head.
>>11239012It's also a terrible Godzilla.
>>11239012Yep, the point was they didn't even try with the head. They planned another head for Sludge's 86 toy and just used that, a head we only saw in the concept stage but was apparently still included with the mold as the alt head.
>>11238945I mean, at the end of the day, it's technically just SS86 Grimlock. Grimlock happens to be my favorite character, and while this is a shitty take on Godzilla, it's a cool black Grimlock using a fun mold with an entirely new head sculpt, and I don't mind adding it alongside my other Grimlocks. Now, I'm not touching that horrendous Laser Prime no matter how much paint they put on it, so the other crossover can rot.
>>11239018See, for me, I love Laser Prime, so it'd be wrong to only have Megzilla and not Kiryus Prime.
>>11238960They should've just repainted TR Trypticon, honestly. The dude was already literally Godzilla.
>>11239017Except it wasn't included in the mold. They wouldn't run the Sludge mold for an alternate head just to use it with another figure it's not designed for, that's extremely wasteful.
>>11239018I'm honestly wondering what the alt head the Grimlock is supposed to be. Was Grimlock's mold originally meant to be retooled into Sludge?
>>11238890Shin covers and new wing binders are all I really wanted. I actually can not believe they didn't do something to cover the shins. Absolutely crazy
>>11239023Wouldn't be the first time. They've been doing partial runs of molds just for accesories and the ER Cliffjumper ended up using the Bee head when they only use two heads per mold, so they must have either made a mold that had all heads included or just ran the mold with the Bee parts.
>>11239028Some examples of single mold use for parts:-The entire clear section of the Legacy Chromia mold being used to give more guns, plus light bar, for Medix and they do it again for the United Five pack.-The Legacy Detritus toy having the mold that has all weapons and windshield reused for the Toxitron G2 Jazz.
>>11238991yeah no its true, this sludge head was in the mold since the beginning. When the first wave of SS86 hit, it was not sure if it was going to be a whole new subline. So if they were gonna do a Sludge back then he could have been retoold from Grimlock. Fortunately the wave was succesful and subsequently the whole line was a hit that he got his own mold.
>>11239021>BWII repaint never
>>11239042Considering how poorly Selects Titans are doing, I can see it happening, specially since it needs new parts for the horns.
>>11239046*can't see it happening
>>11239042>Official 'Gamer Edition' WFC design release never
>>11239050>2026 Titan>$220>Only a foot tall.>All tabs break after one transformation
>>11239050Thank goodness.
>>11239018Now I'm kind of curious about how Megadzilla would look with Toxitron Grimlock's head.
>>11239021Im so disappointed we never got another version of Trypticon.i left my trypt in another country and there is no way im moving him to me-too big and too much stuff to do
>>11239053>All tabs break after one transformationSo he'd end up getting trapped in alt mode forever, never able to transform again? That checks out - they could pass that off as a game-accurate feature.>>11239054>Thank goodness. What are you on about? Trypticon was one of the game's better designs.
>>11238822RED. ALURT!
>>11239095>What are you on about?Nearly all of the gamer edition SS figures suck, with only optimus and maybe bee being good, if they fucked up stuff like barricade and megatron can you really trust them to not fuck up trypticon.
>>11239101Best part is, with those breakage issues on the last two titans, I'll have a meh transformation and some horrible flaw. I'm skipping Star Convoy this year because his hips might explode or something.
>>11239082They're reissuing one titan after another, give it time
>>11239050Planet X just reissued their trypticon I'm pretty sure
>>11238974Actual but it's a redeco from an Energon repaint set
>>11238822So they gave it a minicon port for the back, but didn't include the one on bonnet, just a peg? Why do both after Hot Rod? Feels weird since a new minicon would need a peg and peg hole like the recent Jolt.
>>11239163Sorry, "just a peg hole?".
>>11239163Begs the question though, do we even bother getting our hopes up for Longarm?Or do minicon fans keep getting shit on by Hasbro because Micromasters suck ass?
>>11239176No idea if they'll ever get to it. I hope they do a multi pack for Autobots and Decepticons so most of the main cast can get theirs.
>>11239179Mini-Con that would need some redo to go with newer figures are:-Sparkplug-Leader 1-Longarm-Ramjet-Swindle-Safeguard-Cybertron Drill Bit-Windsheer (already done, but recolored for Wheeljack). So we have quite a list already. I really want a new leader 1 since he's necessary for his attack mode and is also his gun.
>>11239042>>11239021I just want a new Gigastorm, even if he’s part tank…
>start watching masterforce>look up what toys are currently available for the characters>cancer/squeezeplay is in an exclusive boxed set along with 3 redecos who are not even in the ballpark of being related somehow>dauros/skullgrin and blood/bombburst are some weird frankenstein of their pretender shells and vehicle modes>minerva doesn't have the headmaster gimmick
>>11239195HM gimmick would have been perfect for these guys. Using the TR tank mold, you could "transfer" Megastorms head into thr Gigastorm body via the headmaster plugin on The back of Trypticon's head.
>>11239198Fangry is also box set only. At least Super Ginrai and Godbomber are getting new toys.
>>11239199I would prefer a more full tank/dino mix vs a more accurate one, as in a redoing of it but thats just my personal idiocracy
>>11239193>>11239179They have to realize we'd buy a multi pack at this point. It's stupid not to do it
>>11239220And didn't they say Core Class is living on in some form?
I like minicons more than the regular trans cons
>>11239201I didn't mention Fangry because I don't know if I'd consider him "available" when his set is being scalped for like $300. I could go buy that really nice MP-scaled third party Overlord for that price.
>>11238929they're called him "megatron type godzilla" which.. what? surely it's godzilla-type megatron
>>11239226The molds for Fangry and Squeezeplay are ok, not worth buying at premium prices. If you like them enough, you could wait foe Horri-Bull to release. By then, you might be able to buy all 3 for retail prices.
>>11239228Its Megatron after he scans Godzilla, according to the story blurb.
>>11239229And by all 3, I mean in an ebay lot or someone in the buy, sell, trade. My experience with teams is that people already own one and don't jump on a complete set, so those sets might fall in price.
>>11239195Is there some kind of conversion kit for pic?
>>11239233yeah
Someone on tfw2005 is selling some parts to fix Tidal Wave's knee issue. It works even if the tabs broke.
>>11239236link it nikker
>>11239004Where can i find more development sketches like this one?
>>11239229>>11239232Unfortunately in this case I think Fangry is considered the "prize" item in the set at this point because the release of Squeezeplay shot up the likelihood of owning the set of Decepticon Headmaster Jrs. Gonna have to pray they redeco him or something. At least Metalhawk is very available and he looks pretty much exactly how you'd like him to look so I did get him.
>>11239240I'm playing the long game and waiting for TT to release some kind of boxset. Surely they'll give Masterforce the same treatment as Beast Wars.
Just got a shipping notice for Knight Rider. Looking forward to this one.
>>11239240Even if he's expensive now, I honestly expect his price will drop when the full team is out. Many people who got Fangry, ended up hating it because of the extremely loose legs.
>>11238652It doesn't even fix the worst aspects which is the Nose in Vehicle and the legsIt's DEF an improvement and the Legacy is already hitting discounts soMaybe worth?https://www.tfsafari.com/products/incoming-115-workshop-yyw-47-yyw47-upgrade-kit-for-legacy-united-vector-prime-upgrade-kit-copy?_pos=4&_sid=2c78bc7aa&_ss=r
>>11238822Unironically I hope his little Stretcher Pull out is kept as a gimmickEven if you compromise and the door like pops off the back, has a piece that folds out and can peg into the Leg
>>11239240>looks pretty much exactly how you'd likePretty close, but hes too big, I'd like to have a full set of Masterforce pretenders as deluxes.
>>11239233Jesus christ thats disgusting I hate Takara’s abomination against kaiju kind
>>11239199That would actually be cool as hell. Especially if the tank body could become the chest armor or break apart and form weapons for the titan.
>>11239317lol scaling and all that but I guess for people getting MP scale for Ginrai, Voyager on the pretenders works out decently.Though I think no matter what you do the scale is out of wack anyway given that they did things like make Bombburst a core class of all things. Wouldn't be surprised if they released the other Autobot pretenders you'll have a bunch of them as Deluxes or even as some Core multipack with no new option for Metalhawk so they don't even scale well with each other.
>>11239321That's Grimlock's toy in Trypticon colors, a concept invention of FunPub (American).
>>11239244mite b wise.PFs are far from perfect, particularly both of those shown have color issues
>>11239317god i miss when anime guys had hair like that.
>>11237338>tfw missed out on the good shoulder upgrades
>>11239198Warden was talking about doing a titan class Overlord at some point but then they fired him.
I found and bought a NiB Shrapnel for $24, his neck is so fucking tight. I turned it this much and now i can't even get a good grip to turn it back, because of the horns blocking me lmao. Any advice?
>>11239195man, g2 megs needs a proper update.with a leader class budget they should have no problem making him work with better proportions. He needed a taller torso, longer thighs, and then bulkier arms to match and he'd fly off the shelves.hmm, I wonder if the new Fallen could be given a new chest and work
You have to unscrew Shrapnel from the back. There's 5 screws total, if I remember. Then slide the back off, remove the head. The glossy black paint on the neck is what's causing the tight turn. Sometimes, it's the stripped paint itself. You can sand it down, but that's your call.

>>11239428>>11239430>>11239437>>11239439Ross lists the original (or estimated) manufacturer suggested retail price and then THEIR price so you know how good of a deal you are getting, since they buy all their stuff from overstock and liquidation. It already couldn't sell at the MSRP, or the base sale price, so Ross buys it up at a fraction of the cost and then charges a bit more for it, still usually lower than any sale price it originally had.
>>11239334>Wouldn't be surprised if they released the other Autobot pretenders you'll have a bunch of them as DeluxesI'd be surprise if they release them at all.

>>11239518Small indie company. prease understandu.

>>11239717My minor gripes are the dark blue pieces should've been the same colour as his shoulder to give him some visual width, and his toes shouldn't be a soft tab, they keep flexing the plastic and won't stay put.
>>11239763Godzilla, in Japan, is a hero.So they wanted a "hero" megatronso they gave him optimus elements

>>11239717>If I'm was going to nitpick like a big nitpicking nerdShoulders are too high, face is way too deep, chest is too long and backpack too hollow cause it doesn't have the cover the original had, but the ankle rockers are nice.
>>11239010Its a modified version on the cartoon head with the g1 toy elements, the designer was either lazy and didn't wanted to do a whole new model or he was cheecky like the dude who made Slipstreams head and made it look "cooler" on purpose, either way thats not a dedicated godzilla head.
>>11239717technically they are the same height, but the new one lacks the kinda 'bites taken out' at the top, and instead has bite taken out at the bottom inner side.

What other figures could benefit from the Missing Link treatment?
>>11240050Soundwave maybe? Just was a few joints of standard. Anything seems underwhelming after seeing Arcee planned though.
>>11240050I'd be interested to see a Seeker given how partsformery the original was.
>>11240050Dinobots.
>>11239898He should hold the sword by the blade and bludgeon them with the hilt
>>11240050Megatron, Shockwave and the Seekers. Let's get some Decepticons in there.
>>11240050Obviously Megatron (though it'll never happen - that would mean making him a gun again), the Seekers, the Dinobot s, maybe some of the other Season 1 cast. I think it would be simultaneously weird and fun if we got Missing Link Ironhide and Ratchet.
>>11240050G2 (big) MegatronThey could even repaint him with a little brown into BW2 Megastorm
>>11239240He's at all the Ross stores for $14 right now. They also have the series with Strongarm and Shadowstriker
I gotta say, I kinda hope Hasbro retires the Kingdom Airazor mold engineering soon.I picked up Filch on a whim this morning and I'm freshly reminded of what I dislike about the engineering and why I need to stop looking at the toys that use it.
>>11240080You just know it's infinitely more likely they make Soundwave, not that I'd complain.
>>11240112all it needed was bigger wings and bird head... and tail.
>>11240050Now that they've declared that Missing Link is going to go back and "fill in" character who always deserved a toy like Arcee, doing the Female Autobots (especially Elita) or Alpha Trion seems like a no-brainer.This also probably extends outside the purview of what they're trying to do with Missing Link, but Rodimus Prime's toy has always been kinda weird because it felt like such an afterthought for what's supposed to be the new leader of the autobots. Ultra Magnus was the premium toy instead and that left Rodimus in this weird place where he was billed as the more affordable toy, but he doesn't really match up well with the toys you'd most associate him with like Galvatron. But so far Missing Link has only really added extra points of articulation and an extra accessory or two. I don't think they'd do something like "Make Rodimus bigger so he looks like he can actually fight Galvatron".
>>11240050They should Missing Link Fortress Maximus and just always offer that over the shitty Titans Return one
>>11240133wait what? when did they say that's what missing link was doing? that's insane.

>>11240138At the Takara TF40 Expo they revealed the next Missing Link, Sunstreaker (who is impossible to reissue because the mold was lost) and said they are working on a G1 "style" Arcee for Missing Link, with that really old prototype as an example (the prototype is two separate figures so the final probably won't look like it).
>>11240162the obvious choice for the next one would be hotrod.the hotrod toy is really quite advanced for it's time, give it a bit of a boost, seperate his legs, and you've got a really fantastic figure.
>>11240120Yeah, the definitely did filch dirty with the lack of a bigger and techy-er tail and with the small head.I mostly would like to see a new birdformer toy design that doesn't end up with wavy wings or that double-hinge in the interior of the torso.Heck, I'd be happy to see them upsize and rework the mainline RotB Airazor mold. It's fun, if a bit basic.

>>11240162bizarre... Not a bad idea I guess, but it sort of screws up the 'missing link' line by... being more literally missing, and not really a link to anything.>>11240165I don't think the wing folding is either bad or avoidable. it's kind of the perfect way to get close to what the show did.
>>11240162The 86 cast is so rough lookingHot Rod and Ultra Magnus do a lot of heavy liftingAnd Magnus is only managing by virtue of still being a Diaclone toy

>>11240088>Obviously Megatron (though it'll never happen - that would mean making him a gun again)They're collector's items instead of retail toys and they're from the Takara side, so it's perfectly possible. In fact I think we're getting an MP-36 reissue next year.
>>11240112>>11240120I don't understand why they don't use the other non-Studio Series ROTB Airazor mold for retooling more.

>>11240120>... and tail. The tail, at least, can be somewhat fixed if you get the Airazor tail feather upgrade kit and paint it to match. It's not the same one she had on the show, but at least it's actually shaped like a real Magpie's tail (plus the two halves turn into arm-mounted cannons in robot mode, so she actually has some ranged weaponry with the kit to boot).Sadly, there's no fixing the tiny head, stumpy wings, and her overall small size in general (she really needed to be a Leader-sized toy to scale accurately, but they'd never waste a leader slot on such a literal who character).Flawed as she is, I still love her and am happy we at least got one official toy of her (excluding the little blindbag figure that they put out years ago - that doesn't count).
