I take bigger issue with the fact that they're still going with the DreamWorks story and designs rather than the original book ones. It was a totally different story, and the dragons could actually speak, had personalities, and were actual characters rather than glorified pets. Stormfly and Toothless were hit particularly hard by Dreamworks' rewrites, and it's a shame we'll never get merch of their original designs.

It's always the "quiet curious animal" that touches audiences' hearts more than when they talk, because then what would the humans exist for? Anyway, you know something special about the books too. Stormfly was my favorite DW design, but I like the Spyro-likeness of the original Toothless

I mean, Toothless and Stormfly were both a LOT smaller. Toothless could perch comfortably on Hiccup's shoulder, and Stormfly was able to wrap herself around Camicazi's (book Astrid's) neck like a scarf, so the latter's the only one you MIGHT be able to try something with, though she'd be more like using an onahole. Funnily enough, though, Stormfly literally DID try to seduce pretty much every character they met (she was a manipulative troublemaking 'free spirit'), though only Toothless ever fell for it, like you see in >>11239062's pic.

KEK Oh I do so hope they went all in on merch.
I hope Lizzo and Jack Black are in it. I really hope there's a sequel at least twice as expensive already in the works.

That would imply that anyone in Hollywood reads anything, or that the few who do are aware that the books existed to begin with.
Really, it's sad that the closest thing we ever got to the spirit of the original stories was the Netflix spinoff series made for literal toddlers.

I'd buy a Toothless, but there haven't been many good figures anyway. I think the Walmart exclusive figures were the best overall.
