>they chose the tooner headKEKAROOO
>>11246165billy are you ok
>New thread on page 9 or 10, or at image limit
>>11246167>no faceplatemight vomit ngl
>>11246167Is it even tooner?
>>11246177It has a similar general shape I guess, but it's probably more G1-inspired than straight toon. Pretty much what I expected personally, I don't think there's a single design of Prime considered particularly iconic for the character so it makes sense to mix different design elements with the original G1 one being dominant.
>>11246179Body seemed more like a geewunified version of TFP's
>>11246167HAHAHA, LOOK AT 'EM. HE'S GOT BOOMERANG EARS!
>>11246181
>>11246167Not really surprised he has it, I always assumed he'd have a covenant and G1 head, but I will be shocked if the retail version has the cartoon head.
>>11246182I love the ridiculous heads G1 gave random side characters. It's like they just doodled random shapes and went "yeah whatever that's our guest character for the episode".
Will there ever be a mass-market Titan Class Unicron or Primus?
>>11246201Maybe. Marvel are over there doing a made to order Sentinel. I could see the idea spreading to Hasbro's other properties.
>>11246183Yeah, I'll easily take random g1 guy's head over whatever the fuck that is
So can we now all agree the Obama administration is the reason for why most of the transformer toys from 2011 to 2018 were absolute dog shit
>>11246181This actually looks pretty good. Initially hated this guy but the more I see of him the more I'm sold.
>>11246167>>11246177>Ask Vector Prime keeps making retcons to the G1 cartoon to try and get more stuff from the comics noticed >only succeeds at making the G1 cartoon stronger and the comics less relevant
Got Strongarm and Magneous for a couple quid each from In Demand Toys. They are on deep sale at £4.99 each plus I had some store credit so thought fuck, Magneous is better than I expected, Tried to turn him into shield/armour for Galvatron.
Even gave him posable batty armour to stop Autobots from bumming him, bumbaclart.
Stongarm is fine, feel better about her having paid next to fuck all, pic unrelated.
>>11246242The primes not being based on aligned is the only thing saving this line for me. Hopefully, they drop the centaur shit for Onyx if means getting a good figure out of him. I do kind of like his TFOne design, Reminds me of Makuta’s winged from Bionicle 2, though I’m pretty sure TFOne took a lot of influence from that movie.
>>11246164He's got his sword on the side there too. Looks like it's got the same terrible tiny hilt style as Armada Starscream's>>11246177I think I'd prefer this colouration to the yellow and blue or yellow and magenta ones.
>>11246165So is the SS86 Prime hate just due to price?
>>11246183Do people actually like this Chinese Knockoff Gundam style "everything is spindly" design?
>>11246266My only issue with him is his size, hes too damn big, most of the modern autobots were made sharing a similar scale to ER Prime, they look tiny with ss86 Optimus.
>>11246268Some do, thats why TF Prime and Animated sold, but why did you made that in response to a fat no-waist prime?
>>11246262I know it wouldn't happen since it's a weapon that was packaged with a Commander class but it would've been cool if they gave him the Sword of Primus. It's a nice weapon and it makes sense with Prima.
>>11246266Optimus getting a commander is fine, I get it. What I don't like is that they pumped all that commander money into him and he still doesn't pose much better than average. It's a humongous visual upgrade over ER but that's about all it's accomplishing, I just wanted more.
>>11246230What's taking so long for them to make Stepper out of SS86 Jazz?
>>11246266I don't really care for it in general. I don't think it's awful, but the way the transformation works is a little grating. I'm tired of the front of the trunk being a big panel stashed away into the torso. I get why they do it that way but it's unsatisfying every time.
>>11246242“Five Faces of Darkness always lies.”
>>11246268I think the covenant was aiming for a bayverse aesthetic.Prima's design was clearly inspired by that protoform Optimus toy that was reused for Prima in comics.
>>11246230Okay. But then what's the reason all the toys since 2018 have been absolute dog shit?
>>11246280>I'm tired of the front of the trunk being a big panel stashed away into the torso. I get why they do it that way but it's unsatisfying every time.This. Basically just the fact that the tooner-enabling bullshit that ruined the MP line is now trickling into mainline. You can practically smell Hasbro's desperation for geewunner money before they get too old/dead to spend it.
Latest rumor is that the 2025 HasLab is RiD Megatron (Gigatron)
>>11246165I thought the colors were supposed to be different in Shattered Glass dohohohoho
>>11246288So RID Galvatron never ever?
>>11246279They're waiting until the last wfc Artfire yellows, then they can re release it in a 2 pack.
>>11246291Same as with a modern splendid convoy, nemesis rid convoy or this magneficent bastard, they won't exist.
>>11246288I mean, we got Fire Convoy so it's the obvious choice.
>>11246167this thing is going to shelfwarm like crazy lmao
>>11246288I'm glad both Gigatron and Devil Gigatron have great colour schemes, can't go wrong no matter which they end up doing. I hope they also manage to bullshit some more modes into it too.
>>11246288I have my doubts but I can see the logic
>>11246296I honestly think he'll do okay. Autistic fans have already proven will buy figures of some notable lore-important character even if the toy is bad. Arcee didn't shelfwarm until they redeco'd the same shitty mold like 3 times.
>>11246301it's a literally who grey robot that turns into a box and has one of the ugliest heads in yearsit's fucked
>>11246291>>11246297Imagine they have two listings (like the Ghostbusters car) for each deco. Then they can claim "most successful Transformers HasLab EVAR" as everybody double dips
>>11246303>it's a literally who grey robot that turns into a boxthat describes like half the G1 cast
>>11246305That's always a possibility, I was surprised when they didn't do a separate listing for an extra Convoy body with Fire Convoy so you could display both Fire Convoy and God Fire Convoy at the same time.
>>11246266>Terrible vehicle mode with no ground clearance>Awful QC>Toonerbait (no stripe, grey and white instead of silver, etc)>Bigger for no reason>Didn't need to exist in the first place>Took a Commander slot>Overpriced>Articulation is no better than ER>Undersized MatrixThere's a lot to hate about it frankly.
>>11246230Take your meds>>11246268Unfortunately it must sell because it keeps getting made>>11246306Seems appropriate for the first Transformer. Primus probably didn't want to go crazy with his first creation, just made it a gray box.
>>11246312You forgot >the grapes are probably sour anyway
>>11246312>ToonerbaitIt's in the SS86 line. It's supposed to be cartoon accurate. When last did we get an Optimus with white legs instead of grey, which wasn't just a cartoon redeco of an existing toy?
>>11246165What's the best manline Arcee?
Undersized Matrix?
>>11246334Honestly, I think they're all pretty shit. Kibble city on all of them. Earthrise you can detach a bunch of it and make the back pods look more animation accurate I guess if you want that, but I think a lot of the recent ones are pretty similar in quality. If you can find the SS86 one on clearance I'd grab it.
>>11246334i know you're talking about G1 but it's SS Bumblebee movie Arcee.
>>11246333SS86 is just an overflow line for Generations so they can put out the remaining G1 guys without flooding mainline with them. Hence why in Kingdom we got Cyclonus in "main" generations and Scourge in SS86, despite them both being intended to go alongside each other.>When last did we get an Optimus with white legs instead of grey, which wasn't just a cartoon redeco of an existing toy?Never because it wasn't necessary. The Dramatic Capture 3-pack ER redeco was good enough.
>>11246334T30. She has a nice belly
is the legacy series any good?just starting collecting so dont know much
>>11246370Maybe
>>11246336Is that the Halloween costume one?
>>11246371some figures are good, some are shit?
Post your collection of instructions. Here's mine, not including Legacy/SS86 because I keep those in their boxes.
>>11246370Literally just get whatever you think looks coolMost of us here are too deep into it to offer valuable perspective
>>11246279SS86 Jazz isn't good for a Stepper. Cartoon Jazz doesn't have door wings, Stepper does. Takara's Stepper is the superior choice still. A SS86 repaint probably wouldn't even have a Targetmaster, and if it did it would be a repaint of one of the shitty new ones.
Wonder if there are more suitable bodies.
>>11246303seething Aligned fan. That book had some of the ugliest, generic robot designs ever. Didn't even look like Transformers. Like something you would see from some C tier American video game studio.
>>11246375You got it
>>11246382what are some characters who are bad then? just so I dont pick up a figure of a character I like and it turns out to be shit
>>11246380and yet its still better than the "omg, those background characters in that one G1 episode were actually the 13!!!" fanfiction garbage
>>11246370Just buy the figures that look appealing to you
>>11246376Damn anon, my instructions are pretty much pristine and they go back to BW and beyond. How are you storing them?
>>11246403One of those thick, plastic laundry bags. To be fair, the degrading happened in my younger years. The bag prevented them from getting any worse.
>>11246370Like other people said, just get figures you like dude. They're toys, who gives a fuck if they're "objectively" good or whatever? If they make you happy then mission accomplished. If you asked like "what's the best figure for x character" you'd probably get more substantive answers.
>>11246387Ask 10 different people and you'll get 10 different answers. You could always go to a Ross or something and see if you can find a figure you like with the price slashed to hell so if you're disappointed it doesn't feel as bad. But here's some figures I've enjoyed from each class:Core: Tazmania Kid, Optimus if you want to get the obviousDeluxe: Tarantulas, Animated Bumblebee, G1 Optimus is a fun novelty if you like thatVoyager: Inferno, Tarn (but he can be kinda hard to find)Leader: Beast Wars TM2 Megs, Technically G1 Galvatron I guess but he'll get an SS86 recolor soon if you care about that insteadThe Commanders are all good if you're actually looking to spend that much (Though obviously Motormaster probably isn't as enticing if you're weren't looking to assemble Menasor)
>>11246288We really not getting any other retail release from RID01 besides Sky-Byte. No, Legacy Scourge and Sideburn don’t fucking count.
>>11246285Covid
>>11246440>I don't like them so they don't countEnjoy your Ruination repaint in two years from a Bruticus you probably also won't like
>>11246445Why would I be upset about a character who was actually nothing but a fucking repaint? At least Hasbro had the excuse of making their version of Baldigus a different deco and name back in the early 2000s when they weren’t catering to fans at all.
>>11246440Who else is there?
>>11246461X-Brawn and Prowl but there’s no point if there’s not gonna be a slight attempt at accuracy. The remaining predacons are gonna have to be released in Deluxe scale since core class is gone but there not popular enough as Sky-Byte is. The Train Bots can be sold as commander or individual releases, though how they release and depends on how they want them to scale. I’m not even a RID fan but would like for there to be something besides the Shark and more expensive Haslab shit. Also Sideburn, Baldigus, and Scourge all got “updates” a decade ago along with Sky-byte.
>>11246445The TR Black Convoy and blue Rodimus repaint did more justice to those characters than the shit we got in Legacy.
>>11246487Man, why does everyone hate Legacy Laser Prime?
>>11246455>Why would I be upset about a character who was actually nothing but a fucking repaint? Then why are you upset over Scourge?
>>11246491>>11246495Holy shit you guys are slow
>>11246491I love it. I have three versions, soon to be four.
>>11246502Honestly I like the black more. Fix the clear pink shining through on the shoulders and it would be wholly superior >butSuck my ass. What I like > any accuracy
>>11246491Be cause the old mold from 1995 is still miles better even with the lack of some joints. The Legacy reinvented the wheel for no fucking reason, the transformation was perfect the way it was. The unposable shoulder pylons suck and the reused legs look jarring and disproportionate. Also, the Black Convoy version gets the colors completely wrong. After 30 years they could have made something way better with this design, that's why people shit on it.
>>11246532Forgot to add that the trailer fucking sucks compared to the original, too. There's just nothing good about this toy compared to the old one other than it's availability and ankle tilts.
>>11246533Well, some of us can't afford to scour ebay or hope its in some second hand store we may randomly stumble on, so its fine.
>>11246249shit that would be really useful
Legacy Cybertron Starscream is a really cool toy, but man, the OG is still awesome. He's so HEFTY. Helps that I modded mine to have bicep swivels, admittedly.
>>11246341No with that face.
>>11246491Shoulders.
>>11246268same answer as the last time you asked
>>11246284always liked this guy. he turns into a star truck!
>>11246596>Star truckin' across the universe!
>>11246596A Star Convoy, even.
>>11246618a chunky boner if you ask me
The deals... where are they
>>11246491The shoulder joints are on soft ratchets for some reason and they barely have any teeth so his arm poseability is hampered and that's not even mentioning the shoulderpads that don't move (which is the part about him that bothers me the least). His hips are way too high and his legs are too long so he looks weird in most dynamic poses. Plus like everyone has said he had a perfect transformation before so it should have been a slam dunk. He looks alright just standing still but I really dont enjoy posing him at all.
>>11246622Amazon has deals, Pulse has deals, most notable sites have deals now, what are you looking for?
I hear there's an upcoming Hearts of Steel Optimus. Is there anyone he's likely to be retooled or redecoed into? I love the older style alt mode, but I don't really want another Optimus. Also if he does well I really hope they make a figure of the HoS cannon Megatron.
>>11246672HoS Optimus is a train, right? Maybe RiD Railspike. Though he'd have to be non-combining.
>>11246672It'll be next year's pulsecon exclusive so probably nothing
>>11246672>Is there anyone he's likely to be retooled or redecoed into?HoS NemesisHoS SG Optimus
>>11246680Both of those would be cool. Weird how almost every Optimus gets a Nemesis repaint (and a few get SG repaints), but Megatron doesn't have a default repaint of SG or even like Browning or Magnum.
>>11246370You need a Shockwave!
>>11246619Pedophile Chungus
>>11246672keenare those giant spike wheels a blueprint drawing that existed in olden times? because I see something similar in a lot of historical fiction
>>11246664I don't know, Amazon has like 7 transformers, the rest of the pages are Deformation Robot. 35% off on Pulse mostly has stuff that's normally on discount anyway. I don't know gimme a cool guy like Swoop or offload some Titans, I think they did that last year
New 86 Prime redecoCell shaded toy version I guess
So a Bumper retool has to be one of the exclusives next year right?
>>11246664And they're not even liquidating stuff from ROTB, what's with that? Even ONE might reasonably go on sale now.
>>11246664Pretty much all the deals I saw on Pulse were things I could get even cheaper at a local discount store. Black Friday "sales" are mostly scams.
>>11246283wasn't that some faggot attempt by Willis out out retcon the retcons
I hope for new version of Megatronia.
>>11246684Because he's already a bad guy. No need for an evil version.
>>11246737Those just look like stickers on the regular figure
>>11246181I have no idea who this is but he looks like a better Vector Prime already
>>11246740Fucking finally if you ask me
>>11246757Yeah but he could have a good version. Just makes sense to have a baked-in mould use for one of your main characters. Prime has Nemesis, Bee has Cliffjumper, Soundwave has Soundblaster, Starscream has the seekers, but who's the go-to redeco for Megatron?
>>11246680Not as unlikely as it may sound
>>11246774Why do people care about this guy? He's not an interesting character or figure
>>11246778For us Geewunners, he’s the one that got away. I hope they keep his South American function as a strategist.
>>11246775Outside of G1, it’s always Galvatron. But for G1, they could make a G1 version of Megatron X. (Black retool of Megatron)
>>11246165>item arrives in packaging that shows what's inside
>>11246778We want the whole gang back together.Where's the Omnibots?
>>11246787Megatron X
Devastator's THE big guy. They should've Haslab'd him into a titan class. To hell with scaling with Menasor, mine still doesn't have calves.
>>11246798I feel like anons saying stupid shit like this forget that there's still a general audience hasbro has to appeal to. Making a big name like G1 Devastator an online, overpriced, limited-time exclusive is a monstrously retarded decision.Just go 3P if you want to pay big bucks for something large
Transformers collaborative ideas, goNintendo Switch
>>11246787>they could make a G1 version of Megatron X. (Black retool of Megatron)Anon, that's already a thing. What do you think Megatron X was based on in the first place?
>>11246798Purely for fun, imagine a Devastator in which all the Constructicons are titan-sized, who then combine into a PRIMUS-class figure the size of a human child. Would only retail for the price of a used car.
>>11246804>>that’s already a thingThen make the thing.
>>11246684Megaplex.The relatively good clone version.
>>11246802Beast Wars Moo Deng
>>11246802A full line of consoleformers would be cool. More fun than console-tans in terms of personifications for sure. Come up with company-based faction sigils instead of shoehorning them into Autobot or Decepticon.N-Sixty-Former would be my go-to.
Do girls even like Transformers?
>>11246816Another variation of the siege Megatron mold?I'm good.
>>11246825they do if they're cool
>>11246823XBone's kinect cyclops eye is good. Hopefully a real one would also have that.
>>11246798They already did and it was shit, you retard.
>>11246804He wasn't saying there's no black Megatron, just that we don't get toys of him
>>11246785Sedan is still a funny name but god having a new official toy of him will be good, what was his weapon again in South America?
>>11246737yellow eyes prime is based. compliments the other yellow detail and the blue helmet
>>11246840None of the pennyracers had them, I don’t think. But should Bumper be yellow if he comes out?Or white? Or blue?Hell, I’m still waiting on newer versions of Glyph and Tapout.
>>11246181I actually really like this head. He looks like an appropriately strong leader for a prime, but also a decent nobody moon rover bot. Also like that he looks a bit like Megatron. It'd be very funny if Megatron is descended from Prima rather than Megatronus
>>11246825Do fujos count as girls?
>>11246885rotten ones
>>11246825Dykes do, and trannies
>>11246871I personally prefer White, even though yellow is the more iconic color, White was likely his original intended color for US and JP re-release but he got put under the rug besides the card fuck up which is how people knew of his existence
>>11246894sounds like there's a whole story here, fill me in?
>>11246825No. Just Optimus.
>>11246906I thought they all loved Starscream
>>11246888Can confirm on dykes
>>11246775>but who's the go-to redeco for Megatron?for the longest time it was bludgeonthe RotF bludgeon got a redeco into MegatronRID 2001 repainted combat megatron as BludgeonRID 2015 retooled megatronUS as bludgeonBut now we just get tons of megatron repaints as megatron.
>>11246899Supposedly this little weirdo was also on bumblebee cards but that seems to just be knockoffs or reproduction cards doing that, only photos of legit ones so far have been sealed on cliffjumper cards, basically long story short this guy is rare
You can get mp rhinox for around 180 on hasbro with code cyber25
>>11246988ah got it, so they made a yellow cliffjumper (i thought bumblebee WAS yellow cliffjumper) and so he eventually became his own guy called Bumper>>11246993for MPs that's pretty good. But.... ouch.
>>11247008He looks similar, but actually has a different head and turns into a different car to Cliffjumper. He's just the forgotten triplet
>>11246230No, the quality went downhill because Hasbro chased after comic buyer money by mandating synergy with the IDW comics after they rebooted as MTMTE and RiD design and character-wise. Combined with the clusterfuck that was Prime and it's toyline and the pivot to it's super kiddified RiD '14 cartoon.
>>11247018aw, like Browning.
Anyone know if Walmart's bringing back the two packs this Christmas? I ended up buying a bunch of them last year, in part because my store had horrible distribution and skipped nearly 90% of 2023's waves due to the first wave shelfwarming super bad, yet the two packs having scores of characters I never saw as regular releases.
>>11247008No, this guy is a totally different guy than cliffjumper including mold, there IS a yellow cliffjumper but this guy is some weird fucking anomaly that exists for some reason, his bumper is ironically something that verymuch sets his mold apart from both Cliff and Bee visually besides the head mould. Very Very long and complicated story on trying to explain how the fuck this little guy got into US markets and the further mysteries of how he got a stats sheet and artwork in Argentina that is exclusive to him. Its lovecraftian
>>11247024>>11247018No, a closer comparison would be how he WAS supposed to be like the Microchange 44 revolver guy but somehow got snuck onto US shelves, and got a foreign release like how this guy has an Italian release I am pretty sure
Are the Super7 Transformers any good? Thinking about getting Bludgeon and Grimlock; the former because Hasbro seems utterly incapable of creating a proper Bludgeon figure and the later, because Hasbro seems incapable of creating a streamline T-Rex mode for Grimlock.
>>11247027>>11247032fascinating shit>>11247033i have been tempted by the optimusgator several timesCan't speak for their transformers but their TMNT are super well sculpted and painted, extremely solid, but have a few unfortunate joint choices that make some of them real hard to pose.
>>11246798>Devastator's THE big guyFor you
>>11247033They are passable. One hand, they have better selection of Autobots than the RED line (Optimus, Bumblebee, Tracks, dino-mode Grimlock) but RED has a near complete collection of series one Decepticons (missing only Skywarp and the tapes) plus Shockwave and Galvatron while the Super 7 line has Megatron, Starscream/Ghost Starscream, Bombshell, Bludgeon, and some random Action Master Decepticon. Thought Super 7 Soundwave is infinitely better than RED Soundwave. You can get most of the line dirt cheap, or wait for the upcoming reissue line which is missing 95% of their accessories but come in meme-tier VHS packaging based on the old VHS tape boxes from the 80s and twenty bucks cheaper.
>>11247035I have a 3P Bumper so maybe being able to get a legit copy would be nice even if a new release. Already have a very expensive transformer (sealed) with Battle Unicorn, who I got for 10 dollars so its mainly just waiting for news or news of a monstructor who doesn’t suck
>>11246778Bumblebee is the soul of g1. Everybody's little brother and Spike's best bud. He protects the innocent and will fight against giants with courage. He's the perfect representation of an Autobot, scrappy, personable and noble.
>>11247040>Bumblebee is the soul of g1lol no
>In US>Ordered Reprolabels on October 18th>Almost end of November and still haven't received them yetIs this normal? I know on their website it says it takes a few weeks for their stuff to ship but over a month for some sticker sheets seems excessive.
>>11247040>Bumblebee is the soul of G1That guy isn't bumblebee though
>>11246737????
>>11246266>Worse than ER in almost every way other than Cartoony Design and Alt Mode
>>11246268NoIt looks like shitI'm glad we didn't go that route
>>11246268Sometimes overdetailed greebly mechs are cool. Not gundams though, gundams almost always look gay, detail or no.
CORDON BROS WE WON
>>11247095Reissue?
This is the worst time for Hasbro to be doing exclusives for China. Is Hasbro utterly fucked once the Trump tariffs come into play?
>>11247126Nah the tariffs are gonna make everyone in America super rich and the cost of everything is going to go down.
>>11247101Missing link, as if there was any doubt. Missing Link moulds are gonna be milked for every possible repaint to justify the price of new tooling.
>>11247138Oh right, forgot about that.God they look fantastic.
>>11247138not that I wouldn't expect repaints either way, but you'd think them being stupidly overpriced would account for that already
>>11247149Sorry anon such sound logic and reasoning doesn't work on le corporations. They will cry, piss and moan about whatever they can to fleece the customer, line the pockets of stock holders. Raise the price of products and lower the quality, all the while painting themselves the victim.Anyway imma need that missing link Arcee in Toon/prototype/Lifeline and Nightbird flavours and can't wait to hand over £400 to Takara for the privilege.
>>11247148>Cordon>no SpinoutDiaclone bros... we lost...
>>11247157>no spinoutyet
>>11247148As someone who had G1 Sunstreakerthis looks fantastic
>>11246894Yeah I like his Sedan white box art
Bumper (Sedan) original box art
>>11247221Bumper (Sedan) biohttp://www.toyarchive.com/Transformers/Brazilian/SedanWhite.html
Optimus was $70 by himself without the trailer so I expect Sunstreaker will be a similar price.I don't even really mind paying the premium on Missing Link for the nicely-sized figures. Optimus felt really nice. Bumblebee/Cliffjumper being $40 each is wild though.
>>11247328$70 isn't even that bad if you want to compare it to what a complete G1 Sunstreaker is going for
>>11246737Possibly the most half-assed toy deco ever
>>11246737Toy decos but cel shaded windows is certainly a choice. What's with the white on the biceps?
>>11247072>47Is he implying trump is supposed to be the 47th president? Because he wouldn't be, he'd still just be the 45th.
>>11247456>who is Grover Cleveland

>>11247467Americans aren't allowed to know history from more than 20 years ago, sorry.
>>11246737I like the G1 toy and I like tooner Prime, but tooner mold with toy deco always looks weird to me
>>11246825wouldnt be into transformers without my female friend so yeh
>>11246181I think it would've been more fitting if he was a deluxe since he's the first transformer. He's too bland for the Voyager price, unless the reason is because the deluxe budget couldn't cover his sword, and possibly a shield. His vehicle mode is embarrassing as well.
>>11247529I mean, there hasn't been a ton of logic with who's been going in what size class. Like I still think it made no sense they made Legacy Elita-1 a Deluxe when in G1 she was nearly the size of Optimus. I still liked the figure alright but damn the size is all wrong, especially when you have random literally who's in Voyager class.
>>11246181A different shop of that head on his shoulders
>>11247529He's missing partsHis star saber splits at the hilt, and attaches to unspecified parts of his vehicle mode
>>11247536Cause elita 1 was a giant compromise so we could get Minerva and strongarm. But also, elita is definitely a size class smaller than Optimus, maybe 2.There's just a few low angle shots that make them look a little closer, but she's over a head shorter and about 60% less wide.Mass wise, she's barely above the likes of minibots
>>11247529Looks like a vehicle mode, how is it embarassing?
>>11247033The only consistent opinion is that they're disappointing

>>11247529I like it. This guy looks like a neat moon rover
>>11247562>Cause elita 1 was a giant compromise so we could get Minerva and strongarmThat mold wasn't a very good fit any of those characters
Does anybody own both SS Soundwave's (RotF and DotM)?I'm wondering if you could transplant RotF's head onto DotM's body. I always preferred that head
Are there any toys that work well as furniture for transformers? A med bay or a throne or a bank of computers even. Mainframe is really cool (but hard to get) and I think we should get even more furniture transformers.
>>11247688Ironworks/Greasepit and Airwave/Hothouse
>>11246246>RID01 Cryotek still being sleeped on.I will never not be mad that they keep reusing Siege Megatron, Siege Sideswipe (who is at least good), Legacy Skids and ER Cliffjumper etc. and haven't done this. Surely somebody has to know it's a money printer. It's a phenominal mold, probably the best in all of Legacy and Cryotek is a great colorscheme.
>>11247688I feel like the ideal is a lot of greebled cubes.
>>11247642I think the mold fit Minerva a lot better than Elita-1 personally. But not working in the headmaster gimmick really killed it for me.
>>11247722Technically that Minerva you was the sentient bot that was created at the end of that series.
>>11247722I think the mold fit Elita-1 better; Minerva really needs to share a mold with Nightbeat, this one just felt off. With Elita-1, it felt believable to me as "Elita if she were an actual toy", instead of just a nontransformable fembot like in the show, while still closely resembling the original. It feels like if the design was developed a bit more past the initial concept, and the car is cute.
>>11247762I think it was supposed to be cyberverse arcee, to go with windblade, chromia, slipstream, tarn and nightracer. But once both tfone and earthspark decided to use elita, they decided to quickly pivot, and it was easy.Didn't anyone think it was odd the deceptions outnumbered the autobots?
13 Primes this and that. Back in my day, we had Vector Sigma and we liked it.
>>11247688I remember some 3rd party was making titan master control chairs that unfolded and did all kinds of shit, but then they went under which was a shame because they were perfect. I was gonna buy a ton of them.
>>11247802According to Japan, there's a tiny human sized Primus inside that thing.
>>11247795Forgot pic
>>11247809that's crazy talk
>>11246334the T30 one. Mind you, that doesn't mean the figure is actually that good, even by the standards of the time it came out, just that it's good for the design of the character.
>>11247148If I can only get ONE, who do I choose?Sunstreaker has some sentimental value for me, but Cordon is a police car which is cool.
So the behind the scenes for Megatronus mentions that the Primes' relics combine into the well of sparks. That aligns with a rumour we had, but I still can't really picture it working well
>>11247947"The 13 gods gave birth to all of cybertronian life through uniting their 13 artifacts together to create the well of sparks on planet Cybertron!"it's a little vauge, but I'm guessing the various weapons just plug into slots on a 2026 Primus figure, unlocking the well of sparks
>>11247688Sylvanian Families/Calico Critters + Legends/Core figures
>>11247529I think it's cool, what would be cooler is a black wash especially on those obvious leg bits. Even cooler still, since he looks like an apc is if you could sitt titan masters in the back. (why would the First Transformer do this? Dunno, be neat tho).
>>11247762G1 Elita has an alt mode tho. Granted it's animation cheating like 90% of G1 but I could honestly see some insane third party company trying to make the transformation work at MP scale.
>>11247802I honestly kinda like the Quintesson origin more, felt appropriately sci-fi rather than this mystical god-like robot stuff the Primes are.

>>11247529The front of this thing makes my soul scream in pain>>11248005My personal headcanon is that the ancestor species of the Quintessons (humanoid, approximately our size) discovered Cybertron and a faction of them conquered the planet after learning to highjack the natural process by which the dreaming Primus creates new Cybertronians from factories occurring across his surface. Adding their own code, choosing the bodies, creating the consumer and military lines that would foreshadow the Autobot/Decepticon schism. Eventually they would grow too corrupt for their own good and had to take on cybernetic bodies to endure forced exile into space, becoming the Quintessons.>>11248195>where did it goUp ur butt and around the corner, exactly where the rest of the economy has gone

It has been in regular use in these threads for at least six years minimum.https://archive.palanq.win/toy/search/text/tooner/order/asc/Indeed, it's even used off this site in the rest of the Transformers community, and among multiple different users posting from different accounts, as can be seen here:https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/search/8270222/?q=ToonerI don't think it's fair or reasonable for you to continue down this road of bad faith argument. It would be the height of abuse of power to call this "troll posting," as well, because I'm directly addressing your claim in a measured manner.
>>11250645Makes sense to me. Sunstreaker is directly based off of the Cosmo Countach, which is supposed to be one of the earliest roots of the Transformers brand as we know it. Sunstreaker has always been special in that regard, so it totally makes sense for him to be picked in a retro series after the big names are finished. Arcee is kind of a left field pick though, but I'm looking forward to it.
>>11249843I have that version but the head is a bit too small while I really want the one in picrel!!!FACT!!!

>>11250649well you'd expect them to do all the biggest names and most desirable classics firstthey did optimus and bumblebee, obviously can't sell megatron in america, so then... you'd expect soundwave, starscream, then at least 10 other familiar g1 guys before this one.

>>11250645As someone else mentioned, Sunstreaker was the first diaclone carbot designed so it actually has a special place in the history. It's also one of the molds that have been lost to time somehow, so a reissue is impossible. >>11250744ohhh I see. That does make sense then. Kinda like how super7's "your old playmates ninja turtles, but better" line started mostly with the first few years, but quickly dropped in a guy from like 1993 because he's famously rare and hard to get.

Alright, /tfg/, I need some help deciding here. I've been wanting to get a ROTF Soundwave for ages now, and am now in a position where I can nab one - the catch is that I'm not sure which color to get. There's the generic colored version (which would be the cheapest, but most boring), the 'Soundblaster' - colored version (which will be rather expensive even with the offer I received due to how few of them were produced, though I do have the money to afford him), or the more G1-accurate 'Infiltration' version (which comes bundled with a Bumblebee toy I have zero interest in and, while cheaper than the Soundblaster version, will cost more than the standard version since I'm forced to buy two figures here).I can only get one, and I have until tomorrow to decide, so which should I go for?
>>11252391i wish they used this mold for Cannonball even if it would've been less accurate
Why are they dumping Diaclone redecos into the MPG line? Is there some hidden play feature here I'm missing?
>>11252510MPG is just MP with a number reset now.
Got a new head for mp44s. He looks so much better now.

>>11252599Oops i forgot
>>11246165Got Tidal Wave finally. I knew he'd be big but holy fuck. I don't even have a shelf where he could stand upright. Granted, he's my first titan and biggest things I've handled before were Armada Prime and couple of Masterpieces but this is still rather shocking
>>11252170Oh, there's some other dessicant I was confusing it for them
>>11247148I like him, I will buy Streaker, I know full well why they did him so early on. But man do I want to see some Decepticons too. Although I totally understand why they won't do any, they'd totally want to start with Megatron and let's be fair, his original toy is nightmare for ML. And besides, only year 1 cons you could to with relative ease are like Soundwave and... I dunno, Reflector?
>>11252654I for one want them to do mirage next
Feels so surreal seeing a modern Brave toy with more Transformers style design elements like the mushroom swivels and 5mm weaponizer ports everywhere
>>11252495Top is too plain, middle is too edgy, bottom is perfect balance.
It's too bad the Shattered Glass line is dead in the water, it had some fun decos. It's even more lamentable that Generations Selects seems almost totally abandoned. Enough people have already posted about Cryotek, Razorclaw, and Megazarak.
>>11252709>GS abandoned>we have leaks for g2 dinobot leader 2 pack
>>11248100Anyone else sick of these repaints? I feel like all we get are "DUDE SHATTERED GLASS" or "The same figure but with heckin cartoon accurate baby blue windows"Feels like the same shit on repeat constantly with no originality in sight.
>>11252727Hey, we also get Optimus Black ModeAnd back in the day we'd also get Optimus White Mode
>>11252676At least it didn't take the modern Transformers style design element of having the rear angle look like an empty waffle iron.
>>11252495The blue one looks the best and an extra figure is always a plus even if you aren't interested in it

>>11252901Selects just seems to be the dumping grounds for things they can't fit in any other subline.I wouldn't mind it if they continued the multipacks, though, seems like an easier way to release things like diaclone decos. You know the people who collect this stuff will just buy them all anyway.
>>11252775Some Hound toy
>>11252911yeah, I think that's exactly what they're saying. Takara doing another Exkaiser after so long was already incredible but doing all three Kings of Braves is something else. >>11252905i just watched a huge nerdy video about the different ghost classifications in ghostbusters and now I'm like ooh it could be turned back to a class 1 and not be able to touch stuff...
>>11252913It's mostly the annoyance of buying an multipack just to get one or two figures. I always have to buy then on sale, then sell the undesirables. >>11252924The Target 4-pack wasn't so bad because that one felt like 2 unique-ish molds/retools (Cliffjumper and Squeezeplay), 1 redeco that at least a decent number of people want (Cyber Tarn) and just 1 pure gimmick figure (Tarantulas with bot head in weird ass colors). I actually ended up profiting off that box set when I sold the ones I didn't want. Not that doing that was actually worth the time investment, but I'll take that over a lot of box sets that just feels like they put in 3 who gives a fuck fillers/recolors and 1 that a select group of people will be fighting over.
>putting Nightstrike into Soundblaster's chest
>>11252924At least some of these have cropped up on discount. I've seen the Gobot pack go for 60 or a bit lower on ebay (also currently in Pulse's sale), the Leader Star Raider pack was going for 30 on Cyber Monday (less than vanilla Thundertron), you could get the Target set for pretty cheap since they spammed multiple deals and it was available most of the time. The autobot five pack was the only one that was hard to get on sale. I managed to snag one for 95.
Was digging out some old junk and found this Optimus, but I can't tell what line it's from, figured you guys might know.Far as timeframe goes, I think it was bought sometime in the mid 00's before the first Bay movie dropped.
>>11253100Classic Optimus Primes. He also includes two guns. Was released around 2005-2006.
>>11253107Much appreciated friend, time to see whether those guns are buried somewhere.
>>11253110One forms his smokestacks, the other covers his roof (might resemble a shield if it's not in gun mode.
>>11253110The guns should be formed from the shield-like aerodynamic shell on top of the cab and the exhaust pipes on the back of the cab. Should look like some fuckbig laser gun and a machine gun respectively. I have that figure on my desk still, got it from my brother-in-law. He had the Megatron from the same line but I think he sold or got rid of it before I thought to ask after it. He turned into a weirdly-colored revolver kind of thing. Not the best figure but a neat enough gun.
Sunstreaker and Cordon Japanese preorders went up. $70 each after early bird discounts.
>>11253115>>11253116Well damn, the shield one was already attached on his back, had no idea. Looks like I'm gonna have to find the smokestack one though.
>>11253119The articulation is as plentiful and jank as you'd expect
>>11253123Also includes the original toy's hand missiles, shoulder "missiles", an extra gun (based on the show), and two big clunky punch fists that are more like the original toy's.
>>11253126G1 MODE ACTIVATE!
>>11253119Seems weird that missing link Cliffjumper has more accessories. They even cost the same so Bee feels like a rip off.
>>11253119is that chromed plastic or actual die cast
>>11253126oh they're on sprues. that answers at least part of that question
>>11253135The chromed parts are plastic covered in chrome, but all Missing Link toys contain diecast in the same spots their vintage counterparts have.
>>11253126Sideswipe's gun? Did Sunstreaker's gun in the show also look like Sideswipe's?
>>11253139Since Sunstreaker didn't come with a gun (or have fistholes to use any), the cartoon would sometimes give him someone else's gun, so yeah he'd sometimes use Sideswipe's flare gun too.
>>11253126Not shown here: the sticker sheet will much like Prime have the now sculpted detail reproduced on it if you prefer the sticker look, but also include yellow shoulder stickers so if you want the car to match instead of having the mixed up shoulders the final toy has.
Also, no firing fist missile gimmick, as the launchers are replaced by the ability to actually store his hands away during transformation.

>>11253246Yes, but it also looks like that copy has had its windshield cut
>>11253126Is it just me or is the dianaut dude too small relative to the car? The countach isn't that big irl, is it?
>>11253300It is not fair how badly I want him. UGH why couldn't Hot Shot and Starsceeam be as nice as this looks
>>11253216He was the first new mass-release Optimus Prime after a 20-year absence, not the sixth Optimus Prime of the year
>>11253216>>11253324Nobody ever liked the arm kibble on that toy but people were just happy to have a G1 style Optimus that didn't have any obtrusive gimmicks. People also complained he was too small for a Voyager.
>>11253359>complained he was too small for a Voyager.I hate he's now big enough to be a leader. we had it real good
>>11253303You're right in that he's too small for an actual Countach, but he's more or less accurately sized for how big the Dianaut dude included with the original Diaclone release was. Given that Missing Link is intended to be 'The original G1 toy, but with modern engineering', the small size is intentional. As a plus, though, they're going to be the perfect size to interact with all of the stuff in ML Prime's trailer - they should be able to fit inside the drone turret, both control consoles on the sides, and in Roller's seats with no problems, since they're literally designed for it. If we get Missing Link Dinobots, they'll be able to sit in their little seats on their backs as well.
>>11253303>>11253410Also Diaclones don't have realistic seating
>>11253417Well...they really can't. I mean, they've still got to be capable of transforming, after all, and often times the cockpit area has to change shape as part of the transformation, these two being a perfect example - the only way to squeeze a driver in there was to have them sit between what becomes their legs.
Why are the Fallen's vents painted yellow not orange?
>>11253300I'm going to miss you, marigold colored titty fembot
>>11253445did you know Red Alert has a Powerlinx repaint
>>11253437I dunno.
Are omegalock taking the piss with postage? £16 squids despite claiming it's a uk storefront
>Sunstreaker's box art was illustrated based on a red Sunstreaker that was hand painted to be yellow
Oh, hey, looks like Filch, Cannonball, and Lockdown have been restocked on Pulse. Might be a good time for people who were looking for her to at least nab Filch before she's completely unobtainable again.
>still on BBTSholy shit that's some transquito level shelfwarming
>>11253500I don't think most people know that exists.
>>11253511They wouldn't want it if they did anyway.
